  1. OOC: Onamazu in from Ta-Wahi

    IC Onamazu

Being slightly behind the main group, the Onu-Toa was able to spot the growing trouble from a safe distance. Good time to have a Pehkui... Her mask activated silently, diminishing her size greatly. Coupled with her darker colorations, it was quite easy to slip through the foliage and shrubery, taking up post several dozen meters behind the green and yellow stranger.

  2. IC:

    That was... sudden.

St George dissipated, the strain of maintaining her Persona for this long beginning to show it's full effects. In lieu of his lance, she picked up a piece of the former fire escape. A jagged meter long metal bar and gestured towards the sizzling shade at the end of the alleyway.

    "Uh..."

  3. IC: Caoutchouc was moving fast through the forest, but something else was moving faster. The arrow whisked by his right cheek before thudding into the nearest tree, vibrating slightly from impact. Before it had even stopped shuddering, great gouts of thick white fog were pouring from it, a dense cloud forming in moments.

The Hand were professionals, of course they'd have someone watching their backs especially when they already suspected they were being observed and hunted. Arrows and manipulating the local climate, this could only be Fletch. He'd no doubt have moved from where he'd already fired, and with the fog smothering their surroundings in monochrome whites...the archer could be anywhere...

There was no time to curse his perhaps ill-made choice of going it alone, his movements switched immediately to action. The choking cloud of fog was dense, heavy. If he dropped towards the forest floor he would simply be smothered in it, essentially blind. Instead he chose to go skywards, taking hold of a sturdy branch with palms pronated and letting his body weight drop down, stretching his arms like thick rubber bands, rubber bands that quickly reached their maximal stretch and violently rebounded, shooting him up past the tree tops. The whole sequence was carried out in moments and he was up above the cloying fog cover, quickly switching into flight mode and watching the trees below for any sign of the golden Fletch.

The possibility of his attacker commanding a storm cloud to strike him down with lightning was, he though, low with the present weather. It was warm and clear and any cumulonimbus would obvious enough that he could seek cover in the trees.

  4. IC

Redhot? She briefly considered the possibility that it might be one of those ridiculious PUA monikers that had been all the rage recently. Of course, the Onu-Toa's rather eccentric and quiet attitude wasn't quite in line with that scenario.

Neither could she quite shake the vague sense of familiarity with the name...

"Well then... It was nice to meet you too, Redhot Bomaye."

  5. IC

Her gaze turned from the two other guards to Saeva, around the table and back to Saeva. She allowed a hint of smile to show.

"Good day to you as well, Sareta. And you as well, Avaliona, Salvejamaeno and..." She settled on the gargantuan Onu-Toa, "I do not believe we were introduced, mister..?"

He watched Era retreat for but a moment, he had no time to waste. Within seconds the elastirahk was snaking his way through the forest, following the hastily made and wholly unhidden tracks. His powers wielded as a precision tool to move quickly through the lower branches of the trees. Agile hands and feet stretching from bough to bough, his passage not any louder than a soft wind.

  7. IC

The jovial (or at the very least, placid) atmosphere iced over with Erzu's comment. The Po-Toa swiveled in his direction, pinning him to the booth with piercing glare.

"I am very much aware of what happened while I was away. It is very far beyond your station to question the actions of myself or the Guard. Everything that could have been done to prevent those events was done. The fact I was away is irrelevant and quite simply, none of your business."

She stood abruptly, withdrawing enough money for her order and placing it on the table before glancing at her two co-workers.

    "Well?"

He silently weighed the two options presenting themselves.

Pursue the tracks alone while Era went back to alert the others. The chance of losing their mark while the group convened (slowly) and deliberated (slowly) was high.

Return to the others alongside Era. This was the right choice. Safe, what they had agreed upon (Kat had ordered it) and conducive to teamwork.

    A heavy risk either way.

"Yes, you're right. Well, half right. Go back and find Kat and the others, I am going to take this chance to pursue these tracks. The chance of us taking too long to regroup and follow, and losing whoever made these, is too high for my tastes. I think it's best to split up."

The tracks could only be one thing, Rahkshi. There was no mistaking the wide-footed trompings of their kind. It was clear that they were both recent and that the makers were moving with some haste, who knew how far they could have gone by now? And they were only going to get farther with every passing moment.

"Era, they appear to be Rahkshi tracks. The Hand of Spiriah are the only ones that could have made them. Do you hear anything in the forests beyond? It looks like they were moving without intent to conceal their tracks, so they might be making quite a racket."
