Poison Orchid MercenaryXero I'm surprised at how unresponsive BBC has become in general. Back in the day, good MOCs became frontpage topics rather quickly. Now, nothing gets much response. maybe it's the general assumptions of poor quality that are prevalent these days. -

It shifts weight on to one leg, then picks up the other one, using the front section to clear the ground, then the hip goes forward and it steps. Repeat x 999999 I tried it out, it works with the right balance

My thinking for those joints went as follows: I will not do regular legs but reverse legs are overused and no parts for more than 2 therefore I shall make half reverse legs or something

I'll think I'll toss it in BBC and see what happens. IMO there isn't much reason for a separation of the two systems, besides the fact that everyone here is supposed to be interested in the bionicle side of things.

Should I even post it on the forums here? Its bionicle based (as in technic frame) but it looks system (and every BBC noob will probably complain about that) and noone posts in LGD.

The good news is that I've almost completed my current WIP. It's over a foot tall, not even fully extended. Mostly System with technic skeleton and balljoints. Decidedly strange. Oh, the bad news? I'm missing the two last pieces, which just happen to be very critical and pretty much irreplaceable. I know I own them, but it will take a bit of searching, and if that fails, a parts order. E: found one, will continue my quest tomorroorororoorow oh man im tired E2: YEAAAAAAAAAA GOT IT

Basically what I mean about the guys is that the fabric that they are made out of, which is clearly firm, stretches whenever they move their face. Also the actual texture was stretched as well, irritating me greatly. It's a relatively small thing, but for some reason it got to me. And I do think the setting could have been used to create a much greater movie, its just that it was an average kids movie, attempting to be edgy, and failing for the most part.

I give it a 9 out of 20 Hated the first half or so, was okay with the rest (relatively) The animation was well done, except for the numbered dudes (HEY GUESS WHAT BURLAP CLOTH OR WHATEVER IS NOW ELASTIC OLOLOLO) also PLOT DEVICES EVERYWHERE seriously it was like all the worst movie cliches packed into the first half hour if you want details, I'll answer comment questions

I'd just started fiddling around with parts for an entry, but then realized that it could be a lot cooler and more original if I just didn't even try. I now have a system-heavy, pseudo-abstract mecha lookin' thingy on my hands. Although I'm tempted to slap an admin's name on it and send it to the polls, it'd degrade the concept, and I am therefore just going to make something hopefully impressive. tl;dr we need better contest themes, my ideas aren't as vanilla as they want them to be
