  1. I could help if you have any questions on adding/replacing the graphics card.

And about the 3-D models? I may be able to offer some help with those. (The only 3-D program I've used is Lightwave, but I don't think there should be too much trouble there because Blender has support for Lightwave model files.) If you want to see some examples of my work, look here, here, and here.

  2. Excellent moc right there, seeing as I haven't spotted a topic, I'll do the review here.

Everything loos great here, from the shell to the legs. And the photography is superb as well.

The one thing I would change on the moc is the claws, subsitute the 5's (or 4's) for those lil' things that bend in the middle. The benfit of that would be flexibility for the claws, not that it's neccesary, but the thought still remains.

    Overall, excellent entry.

Unfortunately, I don't have the pieces I'd need in the correct colors. It's a good idea, though. I'll have to find out where I can get the right pieces.

  3. Prank. They would of shouted that it wasn't a prank by now if it wasn't one. That's what I think.

Nah, that wouldn't be much of a prank now would it? No, they're going to let this one drag on for a while, and when they've had their laugh, they'll put the forums back up.

    I give it a week tops. :)

  4. Are you still MOCing?

Yeah, I still MOC. Problem is, my digital camera got broken by my siblings.

Just 'cuz I haven't posted any of my own MOCs for a while doesn't mean I've stopped makin' 'em. :sly: (As a matter of fact, I've got several rahi, a PBZP, and a few others. I really need to remind myself to ask my friend if I can borrow his camera... :()

  5. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    *takes deep breath*

*sniff*, I wanted to be the first to think squids were cute... :(

Very cool drawing Turakii! ^_^ Although your hair is the wrong color, that can easily be fixed with a little Photoshop editing. :) (Are some of the squids really partially green?)

  6. The band leader wants to line up the 92 band members in four rows so each row has more members than the row before. Where should he put the tuba players?

Next to Larry. (Maybe they can give him a few pointers.)

A store owner sells two pairs of running shoes for each pair of high-tops. He goes out of business. How much are the high-tops?

Don't know. He went out of buisiness before I could ask.

If two pairs of high tops cost the same as one boot and a pair of socks cost 6.74, what's the name of the store owner's cat?

    Same as above.

Dalek plans to finish a 473-page book before his next birthday. He decides to read the same number of pages every day except Wednesdays, Mondays, and every third Tuesday. What's the book about?

How to read a 473 book before your next birthday.

If a man builds a forty-three foot house out of three planks of four different lengths, how close is the nearest shopping mall?

Closer than the nearest lumber store.

Two people inherit $500. How much is left over after taxes?

Depends on how far they travel. (Taxi fares these days can be quite spendy, no?)

    Bonus question: Who died?

    The postman.

  7. Ellipses are quite harmless when used moderately, but when one has nothing better to do than sit at the computer all day using ellipses after every single word in their sentence, those are the ones most vulnerable to the plague. It becomes somewhat like an addiction. Once they start, it can be months, even years for some, before they get tired enough of it to stop. However, I think most people are pretty immune to it. Sometimes they fall under the influence of ellipses when exposed to the plague, but after leaving the contaminated area, it begins to wear off.

If you take a look at my blog, you'll see that even I use ellipses. (But only moderately.)

You'll also notice that this lengthy comment has no ellipses whatsoever. :D

  8. Aliens...eh, what's odd about that? Happens all the time. But, you getting a cold? That's terrible! I hope you get better, and fast, too!

You should go take a nap. :P

    Turakii

I'm pretty positive I've got a cold. I've got a sore throat and everything. Not fun.

Maybe I should take a nap. Right here on... the... keyboar..... Zzzzz......

  9. Perfectly understandable :) I hope your camera gets fixed soon as I would like to see some more of your mocs :)

    ~Proto D~

Well, you just might. I took pics of a few of my other MOCs when I took pics of the Stealth Strider. I just haven't uploaded the pics yet. (Yes, it's the laziness syndrome again... )

  10. What happened to your camera? I mean, anything really hard-to-fix, or just something minor?

    Turakii

It won't power on at all. Not even with fresh batteries. I'd either have to find the right kind of screwdriver to open it up with to see if it's something I can fix myself, or send it in to the manufacturer to have them fix it and wait for a bill of unknown size to arrive in the mail.

I hope I can find the right kind of screwdriver somewhere...

  11. Yup :) , those Barraki, sure are a mocist dream *starts day dreaming of amazing new pieces and mocing possabilities :drooling:*

I can't wait to lay my hands on Carapar his claw has just so many possabilities!! and both pridak and mantax appear to have a new foot design!!! :happydance:

although I am disapointed with kalmah's feet because they appear to be just red hordika feet with webed add-ons.

    ~Proto D~

Whoa, just did a search on brickshelf and found pics of all six barraki sets. Totally awesome. And you're right about Kalmah, his feet are basically Hordika feet with little add-ons on the sides.

I'm loving Ehlek's spikes. Those pieces have great MOCing potential. ^_^

  12. Poor Turkey... Eye. :P

I have yet to enjoy my Thanksgiving dinner. (Yes, dinner is going to be late tonight. There's still about another hour left before the turkey's done!) I only had half a peanut butter sandwich for lunch (which was also late) so I'm pretty hungry right now.

Stomach: You can say that again!

You know you need to eat when you start hearing voices.

  13. Ooo!!! It's my ruru sprite I made ever so long ago! I've seen it used in sprite comics and movies, but I never thought of something like this happening to it. Awesome! ^_^

I just realized just how long ago I actually made that sprite. (Within my first year as a BZPer I think. Almost four years ago!)

Oh cool! I just looked in my brickshelf account and I still have the original pic that I introduced my ruru sprite with!

    IPB Image

Want more proof? Ask Razor himself. :P

    Okay. I'm done.

  14. Something I think would help with the popularity issue, is not having topics for the artwork until after the contest is over. And also having the entries PMed to the contest host. That would mean that, unless you've signed your artwork, people wouldn't know who did what and the votes wouldn't be so biased. (Hopefully...)

    Just a thought.
