As I mentioned a couple entries ago, I ordered some parts off of a website that I might not be allowed to mention because it has forums. Anyway, those parts arrived today! The Fikou Stocking Spider inspired MOC of mine is nearly ready to make it's debut! Plus a few others.

Ellipses are quite harmless when used moderately, but when one has nothing better to do than sit at the computer all day using ellipses after every single word in their sentence, those are the ones most vulnerable to the plague. It becomes somewhat like an addiction. Once they start, it can be months, even years for some, before they get tired enough of it to stop. However, I think most people are pretty immune to it. Sometimes they fall under the influence of ellipses when exposed to the plague, but after leaving the contaminated area, it begins to wear off. If you take a look at my blog, you'll see that even I use ellipses. (But only moderately.) You'll also notice that this lengthy comment has no ellipses whatsoever.

Yay! I'm ordering some parts off of a site kind of like eBay except that it's for Lego stuff and there are sellers who sell individual types of pieces in big lots in their stores. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to mention the site here since it does have it's own forum, but it seems like it's been mentioned here before... Oh well. At least I'll be getting some new, shiny MOCing pieces! (And some not-so-new-but-still-useful pieces. ) Update (1/30/07): Well, the parts have been paid for and the seller has received the payment, so now all I have to do is wait 'til he ships the package.

There's been some commotion over an entry in the latest BBC Contest. The Fikou Stocking Spider, created by Mikerahk, consists of only three pieces. Instead of constructive critisism, many members posts drip heavily with sarcasim, while others bash and flame, saying that there was no effort put into it and that's no good, while yet others simply spam. If this is the state of our BBC community, it's not a pretty one. I believe that topics and their creators should be treated with respect. I would write more, but I'm short on time right now. I ask that anyone who reads this give thought to what I'm saying.

I suppose it does look somewhat like a Droyd from the blurred pic... but it's not. BTW, it's got more than 13 points of articulation. B)

Yeah, I am. (Today, anyway... ) Here's a teaser pic of an upcoming MOC of mine: I haven't posted it yet only because I'm trying to write a story for it.

Well, you just might. I took pics of a few of my other MOCs when I took pics of the Stealth Strider. I just haven't uploaded the pics yet. (Yes, it's the laziness syndrome again... )

It won't power on at all. Not even with fresh batteries. I'd either have to find the right kind of screwdriver to open it up with to see if it's something I can fix myself, or send it in to the manufacturer to have them fix it and wait for a bill of unknown size to arrive in the mail. I hope I can find the right kind of screwdriver somewhere...

Not much has happened this week. I've been pretty tired. Still haven't gotten my camera fixed, so that means that if I want to take any pics I've got to borrow my friend's camera. (And unfortunately, I've been too lazy to ask. ) Don't worry, though. I'll probably get some new stuff up fairly soon. edit: Just thought of something. I think I'll add a buddy list.

Whoa, just did a search on brickshelf and found pics of all six barraki sets. Totally awesome. And you're right about Kalmah, his feet are basically Hordika feet with little add-ons on the sides. I'm loving Ehlek's spikes. Those pieces have great MOCing potential.

If you've seen the new Barraki set pics, you may have noticed Carapar's coloring. Even though it's not what I was hoping for, it's cool nonetheless. (I was hoping for more Keetongu yellow as seen in this pic.) Still, I'm eger to get him so I can play with those new pieces. Also, the squid ammo looks like they're made of the kind of squishy rubber that those "sticky hands" are made of. Makes me think that when you shoot them at your bionicle sets, they'll stick to 'em! 2007's looking good so far.

With the help of a friend, I am now a premier member! As a side effect, I now have this strange ability to create and maintain my very own blog. As wonderful as my new powers are, I have yet to hone them fully. Please bear with me as I learn to take full advantage of my strange new powers. And if you haven't noticed, this is my first entry in my new blog. Yay for me! (And stuff...)
