  1. Outstanding members are ones that reached full proto.

Premier outstanding members are ones that are premeir and also have full proto. POBZPCs have a reduced name change limit, only 30 days, and I'm unsure if OBZPCs have a reduced name change delay (Maybe it's the same as premier, or the same as POBZPCs? Not sure.)

    It's the same as POBZPCs.

  2. You've risen quickly in the ranks, Nate. Quite well-deserved, I must say. Huge congratulations! Just a question, though - why didn't you tell me when we met in Redmond? I had no idea about this and I totally would have congratulated you! :P

Sad to see you stepping down, Wind. You were a fantastic staff member and you will be missed. Thank you for all your hard work! :)

I totally get the vibe they were aiming for but the Piraka rap's lyrics were ridiculous. And that Vezok commercial where he's riding on that weird thing with a Hau was one of the most disturbing things I've ever seen LEGO do. He even kicks its freaking head away at the end. I still don't get what the heck that was supposed to mean. That poster looks really cool, though, apart from the horribly cheesy taglines. :P

He was ment to be riding a mechanical bull, or Tahu, why he kicks it's head off I have no idea.

Why is he riding that bull in the first place? Why a bull? And why would any kid watch that commercial and decide Vezok's so awesome that they need to get him? I find it more off-putting than anything.

It's not literally a bull, it's a mechanical bull. Those are a real thing that people ride as a test of endurance (or to train for rodeos). The idea is that you're supposed to see how long you can stay on without being thrown off. And as for it falling apart, that's to show that he's even rougher and tougher than the machine. Kind of like the cartoon cliche of somebody striking a "test your strength" amusement park attraction attraction so hard that instead of just ringing the bell it knocks the bell clean off.

I didn't especially like the Piraka from a marketing standpoint (even as a teenager I could tell that the adverts and taglines were incredibly cheesy), though I did like some of their characterization, especially Zaktan's. The sets had pretty cool color schemes as well, though I had more interest in their pieces than in the figures themselves.

Ohh, I get it now. That seems like something you wouldn't necessarily understand outside certain parts of the world, though. Which makes it even more surprising they chose that. Thanks a lot for the explanation!

Wow, this was super unexpected. I had seen the egg picture (which is awesome, great stencil work and glad they found a use for the stands), but that keyart of the Toa on the island is simply breathtaking. All the large Toa heads, the Toa just chilling out and having fun on the beach (Tahu coming back from surfing and Kopaka fishing = awesome) - I find that it creates a very relaxed picture that helps with the characterization of the heroes. The Lewa Nuva symbol used to indicate his stone is a great easter-egg.

I feel like this is what Bionicle is missing currently - amazing keyart. G1 Bionicle had a lot of this. While it slowly phased out in 2006, we still had some pretty pieces of keyart like with the Barraki or 2010's giant robot battle. They really helped with both characterization and world-building, providing a sense of scale, urgency, and depth. Right now, we have this and the "Journey Begins" image (which is equally as awesome). If we had more pieces of art like this, I'd probably feel more invested with the island of Okoto.'

Pretty sure that's Gali fishing. :P Agreed about the rest, I want more images like this one.

Yarr, it seems that there are two Galis and Kopaka is missing.

No, the other Gali is actually Kopaka. Pay attention to the gold shoulder armor.

  8. Well this is good to hear that the show is going to be in english, but are the other 9 episode going to have any dubbed in english?

Also I agree with Madu, it seem like LEGO is getting more lazy with there naming (just look at the 2015 Bionicle beside the master and LEGO Pirates).

I doubt it as the show has been going on for over a year now if I recall right and there would be no point in doing that.

This may just be me, but when I went to Tahu's character page I couldn't click the image that said "wallpaper" near the bottom. I had to go into the source code of that page to get the two that were available. They're cool, and I have them in my current wallpaper slideshow, but I really don't think I should have had to go to that much trouble to get to them.

It wasn't just you but it would have been enough to right-click the image and choose "Show image" or a similar option instead of searching the entire source code.

So I could have (I tried it out after reading your suggestion, and it worked).  Oh well, I guess I was just in a source code kind of mood.  I've been looking for a lot of things in source codes lately.  You make it sound like it's hard, but it really wasn't at all.  I knew what I was looking for, and I knew what most of the rest of it looked like, so it really didn't take me that long.

I didn't make it sound like it was hard. It's almost trivial, actually, but the other way is quicker. :P

Your use of the word "entire" made it sound like you were making it out to be a big ordeal or hassle.

    Fair enough.

Some of them are okay I guess.

Are they working for you guys?

I tried using a Lewa one but is isn't working.

    What exactly isn't working?

I select it as my background, and click Ok, but it makes a different image my background instead. I go back, and it's unticked the Lewa wallpaper and ticked the other image. After that it wouldn't let me change to the Lewa one no matter what I tried.

Which different image? And what operating system do you use? This doesn't sound like an issue with the picture itself.

It was changing it to my set checklist :P

    My OS is Windows 7.

The easiest way I can think of right now is to move the wallpaper to a different folder than your set checklist is in.
