I finally got a cell phone, so I guess that makes me cool........ I guess

Now I've become one of those people who'll have a phone glued to their ear LOL

I'm only paying $50 per month for unlimited minutes with statewide long distance, and I got a free Motorola Razr phone with the deal, so Booyah!

I just got my hands on some Hearts of Space radio show episodes. Talk about some great music for Trials of Terror! I remember tuning in to this show when I was living up in Fairbanks, and getting to watch the northern lights swirl about in their beautiful lightedness whilst listening to beautiful soundscapes. They've been broadcasting the show since the 80's and they host all kinds of contemporary space music. Its especially nice for when you want to relax, or just listen to something that you've probably never heard before.

I can definitely say that I've found some movie soundtracks, especially for the "underwater" scene I plan to do. It'll be filmed on a homemade set, cause its just too darn hard to film under real water The scene involves Mahlika and Muga, and thats all I will divulge at the moment, as I dont want to give away any movie secrets yet!

I also started shooting another Piraka Funny. Reidak is scared of a monster, and avak gets hit by a bout of bad animation. Trying to find out whats got Reidak so scared, little do they know the monster is standing right behind them......... Mwaahhahahaaaaaa, Stay Tuned!

Spring is upon us here in Alaska. All the Home Depot stores I assemble for are screaming for help right now. They need all of the wheelbarrows that are left over from last year built (were talking hundreds here). So work has been rolling along. There is lots of money to be made...

I am working like crazy on getting my taxes all done on time. Oooiii I am sweating bullets over here! Its so close to the deadline. I really gotta start doing them up earlier LOL

I have a bbc42 entry built, I just need to find a few minutes to finalize it. I think they are adorable little critters, and they dont have tuggle eyes! Yayyy!

It's looking like I can take out my old bikes pretty soon! I am stoked about that! I got to do some riding while I was in Oregon, and got the bicycle fever! I love my schwinns!

Anyways, I have to get back on my taxes, so I'll catch y'all on the flip side!

    Roa out......

    I'm going to Hawaii tomorrow!

I have never been there, so it should be a blast!

My family owns a new timeshare on Oahu, and it just opened up! Nice and brand new! I can't wait to go. I really wish I could take Dean with me, poor fella has to go back to work in -50 cold weather.

on a sadder note, My Brother and his GF flew into anchorage because her father passed away in the hospital a couple days ago. I took the day off work today so I could get to town before flying out to see them, and pay my condolences. Loss of a family member is so hard, and I kindof know what she is going through, although not as hard as it is for her now.

A life has been renewed. After sorrow, comes the joy of remembrance of all the good times.

I got 4 of the 6 new neo shifters! Yeah yeah yeah, they are mega blocks, who cares. I like em for their action figure quality, as I was an action figure collector long before being a lego builder.

These are by far the coolest looking Neo Shifters. While the Paladins feature the older parts design, their new wings, masks and weapons are totally awesome! And the Templars!!!! The Templars are So AWESOME! Please see pics...... And please click the pics to see bigger pics!

    Here we have the Paladins.

And their eyes light up all cool like. Their eye patterns will project onto a wall if they are close enough.

The masks are a lot more detailed now than they were before, and the figures joints are really tight, unlike the last batch of shifters. The Neo's that come with these guys are the new Uuber poseable type as well, having jointed knees and waist, and the arms still move like the old ones, and the head is a better design that doesn't break like the old Neos.

Like previous sets, the Neos fit snugly into the chests of their shifter counterparts.

Here we have the Templars. Note the awesomeness of translucent rubbery parts.... They also have a new style of hand and foot.

The Templars eyes light up with the sickly green color of corrupted hydrax fiends...

The Templars masks are made of rubber, while the Paladins masks are the traditional plastic type. They are very secure, and the rubber makes for a cool organic factor. The angle on the wings is cool too, as they flip out all wicked like when you release them when its in ball mode. This pic shows the angle that they sit at...

And of course, both types rolled up into their ball form....

The remaining Paladin and Templar are arriving in the mail sometime this week, as well as the web shifters. I have been waiting for the web shifters to come out for months! I can't wait to see how they are!

Stay tuned for a blog entry as soon as I get em in!

And build and build and build and build and build and build and BUILD................

Quite frankly I am getting tired of it.......

If you are thinking that I am tired of building bionicle, have no fear! I could never give up this great building system we all know and love as Bionicle!

I have been stuck in Anchorage too much.... WAAYYYyyy too much! I am seriously wanting to cut back on my assembly job. I can already feel strange twinges in my hands, wrists and arms that weren't there before. Working there for about a year and a half, I have had enough of building every day. I don't want to end up with carpal tunnel syndrome...........

My goal is to attain a job at home in Seward, and still be able to come back to anchorage to work at my violinmaking/repair job. I am still thinking of doing assembly work, but only for the two weeks at a time that I'm in anchorage. A two and two week schedule would really work out great for me, and I am hoping to find an employer who will make room for my trade. If I earn enough money to put my shop together, I will be able to bring my work home with me, and have to travel to anchorage less. I'll have to save save save for that to happen!

On another note, I got to process some fresh fish the other day. T'was 1 1/2 halibut worth of fillets, it is was SO GOOD! I cooked a half a fillet the other night, and it was perfect and flaky juicy nummyness! I also cleaned up some salmon, and had that a few nights before halibut. It was So Good, that it tasted like candy! I hope to get more fish soon, I love the stuff!

Another reason I really want to spend time in Seward, is to find love. I met someone a while back that I'd like to run into again, and if he doesn't make the cut, I will look around. There are plenty of nice men to go looking for in "Poor Womanless Seward"............ I am crossing my fingers, 'cause being lonely just stinks. I hope I find a guy who likes the fact that I love bionicle and lego..... Its always the pitts when a guy thinks you are wierd for liking toys.......

Anyways, I'll bring this entry to a close. I will have more to talk about soon, as I have been seeing the moose browsing lately....... Lots of them!

    See you next entry!

It's about darn time too! The Mahri are finally here in Alaska. We don't yet have all the titans, but I was able to get all 6 Toa, and Maxilos & Spinax!

I have been picking up LOTS of last years sets for super bargains at my local Fred Meyers stores. Many sets are 75% off their retail prices, and its really a great time to stock up on those extra sets! I have 4 striking venom sets now, I got 2 for $18 each. I bought 8 Vezon and fenrakk sets for about $12 each, then a few more for about $10 each (I lost count), Piraka outposts for $12, and Toa Inika are on sale for about $4, great to get if you missed out on the S@H deal.

SO! GO TO YOUR LOCAL FRED MEYERS STORE TO GET SOME AWESOME DEALS ON BIONICLE AND LEGO SETS!

What are you waiting for, go! Go Buy LEGOOOOOO!

I am going back home in a week, and I dread the mass sorting I need to do of both my system, and bionicle pieces.....

Hey everyone! I made it home safely, and managed to take some pics on my trip! Click on the thumbnails to see a larger image. The trip totals about 120 miles. It got too dark for me to take pictures for the last 40 miles. I'll post another entry about Seward life in a day or two with more pictures. For now, enjoy the Alaskan scenery!

I face the world on my own, yet again. Never seeming is this life I lead. All I wish for is one who's willing to fight by my side, and support my battalions. It's difficult to face this world alone, as fears and thoughts rage through the mind, leaving this warrior unprotected from harm. I knew it was coming, yet expected it not to happen. Silly I for making any sort of expectation or.......hopes, dreams.... shall I say? In the life I lead, I've always been a lone wolf, but not necessarily liking it. Its a world of hungry dogs out there, and the warrior must face them in order to survive.

I have my ammunition loaded in my rifle, and am ready for battle. I will go out into this cruel world, and find another legion to arm myself with.

The battle may have been lost, but the war is far from over........

For I will not walk alone.

To mail in mocs for Brickfest! It is only a lil' more than a month away, and mocs need to be mailed in, and arrive in Portland by the 24th of March at the very latest.

Please read this NEWS STORY for more information.

I will be making trophies for four different categories, Large, Medium, Small and Micro mocs. I exclude myself from these awards simply cause I amthe one giving them out, and because I am the theme coordinator for Bionicle. So don't miss a chance to win a cool trophy, I might even toss in some extra parts for the winners.

So whatcha waiting for? Get Building!

I bumped this because it needed it! Please send in mocs for Brick fest! A new repot will be posted on the front page soon!

I volunteered to insulate an area of my Moms roof that has no insulation, but the house is proving that I cannot do it as easily as I had planned. What I thought was an outside access door in the roof, proved to be nailed down rather firmly. No budging whatsoever. So, consequently, I have to go ito the roof through the coat closet. Now imagine a closet that is basically enough space for you and a friend to cram in there, with a shelf below the ceiling door that you are trying to get into. Now imagine trying to take a huge bat of insulation up that tiny hole......

I dread the fiberglass. I can only hope that I don't get it all over me. I don't have any old nylons to put over my arms to protect me from the finest of fibers, so I hope I don't get insulation rash from the fiberglass. This is going to prove to be a daunting project with a lot of crawling around in tight dusty spaces.......

    Oi oi oi....

Brickfest tiptoes ever so close, as I bust my hump to finish my displays! Oi oi oi, I know I am cutting it close! I have 3 Reikia to finish. The blue one is almost done, and then I have to brainstorm on the green one, then the white one! The Onu-Reikia is absolutely massive and fearsome! I certainly wouldnt want to run into him on a bad day in Kaiva-Nui!

I have tonight to finish up, as I leave at 1:00 am tomorrow morning (late tonight)

Wish me luck! I am gonna need it!

After brickfest, I will post up the Name the Reikia Contest right here, exclusively in my blog! There will be links to the contest in my moc and movie topics, so keep an eye out!

    Until next time!!!!

My entry is finally finished after three nights of building with practically NO SYSTEM in my possesion. I had to get creative...........

Here is my entry topic, take a look at the Bionic Fridge, fully stocked with Bionifood!

A first in Bionicle. Who'd have thunk to build a fridge!

I am officially a violinmaker as of today! I sold my violin that I posted in this blog for $4,000! I am so stoked, as it is my first ever sale of one of my own instruments! I can now pay off my bills! HOORAH!!! This, on top of meeting a interesting guy back at home, things just seem to be turning my way lately!

The engine, transmission and transfer case are all out of the truck! YAY! I also removed the side and rear windows, because they are super expensive REAL tinted windows... not the stupid stick on tints. Now I just have to take the tinted windows out of the rear passenger doors, and that is more of a chore, being as you cant just cut them out with a knife like the back ones. The doors actually have to be disassembled to remove the glass. Once those are on my good truck, I will be blingen it pimpin' style in my Burb.

I took out all the light covers and turn signals too. I'll sell off the rear 3rd seat (they were about $2,000 brand new back in the day) I can get a few hundred for it at least.... That, and I'm going to have a ball with a Sawzall, and cut the front and rear bumpers off the truck at the mounting brackets, being as they are too difficult to unbolt due to age and rust. It's all good fun, and I can see why people say that working on cars is therapeutic. I feel very satisfied with my progress on the carcass, as it is getting closer to the point where it can be hauled away

If I am lucky, I can snatch the class four towing hitch thats mounted on it too! As of now, some of the bolts are buried up in the frame rails, and I can't get to them. But when I take the rear bumper off, I might be able to access them. Only time will tell.

Oh, and the engine compartment on a suburban is big enough to sleep in.... an interesting lil' tidbit of info for y'all LOL

I had a great time with Ben and his kids friday night. we carved up 5 pumpkins, all with silly faces, and I taught Ben a new carving technique.

I have one pumpkin left, and was going to bioniclize it.

    What kanohi shall I immortalize?
  17. Roa McToa
The rahi is as finished as I can get her at this point because I left both of my "Tool" buckets at home, so 99% completion minus a few trim peices that I dont have with me right now. Stay tuned for a topic update!!!!! Woo This is one of my biggest so far I think!

So I threw my first Lego Birthday Party ever.

One of my friends kids (My boss's niece's son) was having a birthday today. His mom had called me up around the beginning of October about this, and I told her yeah, I'll do it. "Lemme grab some figures, and I'll get back to ya". When I was at Brickcon, I got to talk to certified Lego professional Dan Parker, and I asked him about how his group does parties. He talked about having a theme for parties i.e. pirates Bionicle, Star Wars, whatever.... and having do not touch models and play with models, as well as providing sets to build and parts to build with as well. You also build a model for the birthday kid. His crews go all out and build something huge. I also built a schweet little mech at his studio before going back home.

I am not quite up the the grand scale of their parties, so for $150, I threw a nice Lego party. I took along two big totes of Lego, and three big totes of Bionicle. I had some random sets and mocs posed around the room in battle poses for decor. There were 15 kids at the party, and most of them wanted to build with Bionicle. They also did balloon fights for when they needed to blow off steam... (hyper 7&8 year olds.. lol) So many questions, and assistance calls, it took a lot to keep up with them all.

Well, the hot set of the day.....

    Bohrok

Bohrok of all things! They all wanted Bohrok! Good thing this random box had enough to make about 6 or 7 of em, plus I had about 3 or 4 already assembled on display in the room. It was an all out Bohrok fest on the bionicle pile. They were upgrading them with different shields and weapons. Trading disks and krana with eachother. It was fun to watch. Overall, they all kept very busy building. One of the moms who was there built a purple house out of bricks! Its so cool, I am gonna keep it assembled!

There was also a cake that looked like it was made outta LEGO Bricks! Nicely made for a home cake indeed. It was a speckle cake, and she used marshmallows for the lego studs, and the bricks were frosted different colors. Very clever, and easy for a structured cake! The presents session was good, as the birthday boy got lots of gifts, including two clone trooper packs and an agents his speed boat chase set. The party favors were also $3 lego sets, and I got two of em courtesy of the birthday boy himself! How cool is that!

Overall, it was a great party! The basement hall at the Library was a perfect place to throw such an event. She had reserved it for two hours, but thats never enough time. The kids wanted to build more! I don't blame em when there's a huge pile of elements at their disposal. I ended up giving the kid a raincheck for his birthday moc, (more on that in a moment) and I gave him a Bohrok Kal. He was happy no doubt!

Now for his birthday moc, which is a detailed Toa, I am gonna have his uncle (my boss) take it to him. My boss paid for the party as a surprise gift to his lil nephew, cause he never gets the chance to do anything with him, busy schedules of all parties and such. So I think it'll be a good way for them to bond.

So thats pretty much it for my Sunday. I have been chillen relaxin at home most of the day. lol

    seeya next blog!

    Now to finish that moc..........

I gaze to the sky as snow gently falls onto the rooftops. The sky is grey, and the trees are gleaming with the lightly frozen crisp of a fresh winter new. The songbirds that stay are the swift and the singing, flitting from branch to branch, peeping their chilly song. Taking in a breath of crisp fresh air, you can feel the frigid cold of a winter ensuing.

Long gone is the summer of past, looking forward to winter at last. To stand on a mountaintop in the dark of night, basking in the light of the moon, no other feeling can quite compare. When the snow lights up with a glow, that brings up deep feelings of warmth, in the heart you once bestowed.

Here to winter, here to snow, here to a warm hearth's glow

    I love winter

If anyone here lives in Alaska, I have a display of some of my mocs in Seward at the public library. I am displaying Boruka and Mirkatuva, Kokata and Mukaia, the Pit Scourge, Roa and Kohaku, the Toa of Kaiva-Nui, the Bionic Fridge, Vakatu, Paruvak, Morkron the Reikia of Fire, and some random matoran.

So far I have recieved many complimentson the models, as no one up here has really ever seen anything like that in real life. The display will be there until about a week into January. I'll have a new display up in another month or two. I'll be sure to take a picture upon my return to Alaska.

As far as my current vacation, I got a few nice little gifts for Christmas, but none of it was Lego. So, I went and splurged a bit on some self gifts. I found a Monster Dino kit at walmart for $50, and I found a Brutaka at Bi-Mart. I also got Mantax and Ehlek, and I ordered the entire 2008 collection from shop@home. It will be waiting at my PO box upon my return to Seward. I am eagerly awaiting my return to AK.

So, yeah, on the 5th of July, the Seward Racing Lions hold their annual mudbog race. Contenders from around the state as well as the local boys and girls all get together to go play in the mud! I hope to compete in this next year with my main man, as we are building a truck together.

Heres a link to a folder containing pics of our truck. I will add more pictures as we go along, and get it going.

    It's meant to be

Never have I been so sure in my life when it comes to knowing a man. He is honorable, loving, caring and treats me with utmost respect. Never EVER have I had a man like him in my life. We are like two peas from the same pod that got separated at the pea factory, and then put back into the same bag together. We think alike, and truly love each other from the bottoms of our hearts.

We spent two romatic days together, cherishing every moment we could spend together, not sharing a kiss until the end of the first day.
I went to work as usual, and naturally, the anticipation was killing me. He showed up around 11:30, jumpoing out of his truck, and rushing inside as fast as he could. My boss, Rolf, was absolutely tickled pink when he saw that Dean was my "mystery date". He's known dean since he was a little boy, and speaks very highly of him. So, the bossman let me go for the day so i could spend it with my date.

We walked hand in hand on two different beaches, enjoying the beautiful sun that came out just for us. We picked up shells and enjoyed the fresh sea breeze. We then took a romantic stroll through the harbor down the docks, hand in hand, looking at the boats, and enjoying eachothers company. We even got to watch a sea otter munching happily on mussels not 4 feet away. It was a joy to watch it roll around in the water and chow down on the small shellfish *munchmunch*

We enjoyed a fulfilling lunch a the Smoke Shack, a breakfast/lunch restaraunt that's in an old alaska railroad train car. Very good food! Nummy nummy! he gave be a lovely malachite bracelet that he got while he was in Mexico. I wear it every day, it matches my eyes so well.

We then drove around town for a while, and it was like he was showing me off to the town. lol It was cool. He is very well respected here in Seward, and I know a lot of people were probably talking about us. Rumors spread quickly in a small town like this.

We then went over to my house, and I showed him my Bionicle and Lego stuff, which he was like BOOYAH! when he saw it. He is totally into what I build, and he used to build avidly as a child. He wants to start building again, and come to conventions with me! I cannot wait to bring him out of the dark ages! I know that his 6 yr old daughter Calysta would absolutely love to come over and play! I can't wait to meet her!

We played Nintendo a bit, and busted it out on the old school games for a while, and finished up the leftovers from lunch. We then went out for a coffee at one of the local art/coffee houses, and enjoyed each others company some more.

After that, we stopped and picked up some dinner at the store, and drove out to his house....

Where we played Metroid Prime 3 Corruption on the Wii for HOURS into the night.

Needless to say, we were totally smitten with each other even more by the end of the day.

The second day, we hung out after work, and had a grand time! I helped him get his tools back home, and we hung out and played more games, and just enjoyed our time.

He's really special, and Deep Down I know he is the one.

    I love him so much!

Here he is all suited up for work up north on the slope. He works on an offshore oil rig as a Roughneck Pusher, or Lead Roughneck. In other words, hes got minions to do his dirty work! The drilling equipment needs to be run and well maintained, and he is the GoTo guy!
