Well who wants to guess? Yep, BS01 is still down. I hope it's up by this Sunday, because something extremely special is happening that day. And now to vent. I never quite understood staff meetings. Half the time, one of our staff couldn't focus. Actually more than hal the time. But truly, it's chaotic. I mean think about it. Many people trying to chat. In the end people will go off talking about their own little stories. Sometimes things are productive. Othertimes they aren't. BS01 has been down for a while now. I really wish we could finally make some progress. I mean, Eps has been working on redoing the main site, but suddenly Swert suggests that we reinstall the wiki. So basically that week was worthless. Although I hope Eps will still work on BS01 in his spare time. Now we are just waiting for something to happen. I don't even know what I'm waiting for now... I will vent s'more when I can think of something And now to talk about whatever Got my BL#3 today. Pretty nice. Somehow some scenes I imagined in my mind were a bit rushed. Although I knew many of the spoilers thanks to friends, it's still nice to experience the read first hand. And remember... Save the Eyesight!

Yes, that's right folks. Save The Eyesight campaign is here. We are here to go on a wild fundraiser to raise money for our poor judges. With this newfound money, we will buy contacts and glasses for all the judges. If we're lucky, we can buy some laser eye surgery for those extreme cases of judgetoolongandyoureyeswillgobad. Yes, we know. Judgetoolongandyoureyeswillgobad is a terrible case of eyesight loss, brought on by reading too many entries. If not treated right away, a judge could go mentally insane, and worst of all: have blurred vision. *In announcer voice* Yes folks, it is that time again. Time for your parents to wake you up early in the morning to get ready for band camp. Yes, band camp. The fine camp that teaches discipline, respect, showmanship, pride, and other odd things. Time to get out and have those bags at the ready. Time to play some music and do some marching. *End announcer voice* Yeeep. One time, at band camp...many things happened. Well they didn't happen yet. But if memory serves, many cool, odd, freaky, weird, funny, sickening, etc. things should take place for the next couple o' weeks. *Breaks a hole in the drum* Oops.... ~U

Hopefully BS01 can be up by tomorrow! Swert PMed Binky today, and he replied (Thankfully). Swert estimates that by tomorrow BS01 may be up. We are going to reinstall the wiki and if that fixes the server load, then BS01 goes up for good. Although the new BS01 design still might continue...just because it looks so spiffy Had to say that. I felt like writing... have some things to say today, as that is usually what these are here for First off, I've wondered why people have pictures that are bigger than their content blocks. Maybe it's just a mac thing () but it gets terribly annoying. Everyone does know that you cen set your content blocks to a certain pixel width? I have mine set at 325px right now because it fits my picture. A truly fitting display, of how people shouldn't do stuff like that Anyhow, I guess that if I can ever find anything to write about, I will. Currently I'm gonna show some behind-the-scenes for folks from a comment Turakii said. You call that bad? Well...actually it is, but what I'm talking about is much, much worse Because BS01 was/is down, I had some free time. I could see that bones was having a bit of trouble with the S&T contest because of Real Life things. I'd thought I'd give him a hand. Come take a look at my past two days: At first it started with a simple PM. I asked bones if he needed any help. He PMed me back and told me to find and compile a list of every single contestant who had a name change. So think about it. I'm sifting and opening each page, trying to see if anyone had a name change. About 10 or so did. (About 8 made it on to the semis) So then I ask if poor bones needs anything else. He obviously seemed like he wanted to take a break and go eat something, so I took over and finished his list. So he PMed me his list. What list is this you ask? It's the one bones posted with the S&T poll timeframe with who moved on from each poll. (Thank goodness that all the polls I did, I didn't have to randomly pick a number and stop someone from going on ) That list didn't take too long. Not that bad. Bones didn't come back till an hour later, so I was bored for about an hour. During those last five minutes, I started to get the polls ready. No kidding. I was that bored. Bones couldn't believe it either. But we worked things out: Since I already had started the Metru Nui polls, bones would take Mata Nui and I would finish up with Voya Nui. Now tell me, can you sift through a total of 6 polls, one reall freaking huge list, and yet another list of who made it on to the semis and keep your eyesight, let alone your sanity? I barely did. My eyesight I mean. My sanity is doing pretty well. So here's how it works: I have 3 polls. So-so many people make from the polls. I go down the list. First name. I check the first with the list I completed for bones to see if that person made it or not. If not, forget it. If so, I copy what bones has paste it in a PM that I would later send to bones. (Ya see, I couldn't take the direct code because bones locked that topic, so I had to do it the hard way *glares at locked topic*) So I basically do that until everyone from the first poll who made it is in. I do this for all the polls. Now I have everyone, but here's the rub. Poll B must be broken down because there are only two polls for Metru Nui. So I had to sort the people from poll B by word count, them move them to their correct poll. Then I add in the list. Basically I use the list tags and whatnot, so those weren't that hard. As I went on, I learned to put the list tags down first, and fill them in as I go. That way I would make sure I had the right number. So anyway, the hard part is yet to come. Because bones locked the topic, I had to go to the leftover topic and sift through the list post bones has, which is what literally caused my eyesight to go bye-bye. So I see a name on the make-shift poll I have in PM. I look down the list till I can find his/her name on the really big contestant list. Once I find it, I have to open that topic, copy the URL, and intergrate it into the PM I would give bones. Now the finishing touches. The URL's are all there. The List tags are there. So just because I'm me, I copy what bones has at the beginning of his poll posts (Please make sure to read all 10 entries! etc.) and I added those in. Basically I had the polls literally ready for bones just to copy and paste. I saved bones a lot of trouble and time there. So I completed the Metru Nui polls. Wanna know at what time? Let's say that I went from one day, and went well into the next. Go figure it out people. So basically I did that and went to sleep. Next morn, I got up and did the Voya Nui polls. Now that I was used to it, it wasn't that bad. So, once again being me with a day off with not much to do in the morning before the afternoon, I quoted bones's leftover list and cut out everyone who didn't make it. That was really tough... Try quoting my list sometimes, and look at how much code you have to look over. I'm used to seeing a lot of code, because I work with the BS01 Wiki, but sifting through was hard on me ol' eyes. So I did that, read one story, and was bushed. So the Dreaded Real Life took over for the rest of that day, although it wasn't actually that dreaded. My sister and I played around. She's in college, so it's cool to have a chance to have some fun again. Then the next day. What did I do the next day? Well you're lookin' at it Final note: I forever give my pity and sympathies to contest hosts on BZP. Seriously....give them a hand folks. ~U P.S. - I did this on the fly so I don't really care for spelling right now Or as I say it now..righs...

Alright. Another entry. "Another entry?" Yep. Without BS01, I have lots of more free time. No duties to do. Speaking of duties... Turakii asked me this, so I thought that I might as well say because I have nothing better to do... Well, on the wiki I have what are called 'sysop' abilities. Basically it means I can block people, protect pages from public editing, and/or delete useless pages. Basically the wiki staff manages the wiki itself. See a spam edit? Use that nice little revert button See a useless page that could go somewhere else? Merge and delete it. See a vandal trying to cause havoc? Not anymore, he's been blocked. [sorry, I don't have a nice little line for protecting pages here. Just imagine one] And besides that, I also help out people. Many a time, for code help. If someone asks a question on a talkpage about something, I usually help to answer it. Yea. What do you mean by what I do Turakii? ~U

You know the one good thing about blogs? They relieve stress. No, seriously. Your own little place where you can just vent your frustration without having to buy one at Home Depot, while having all sorts of people stare at you. I think I just defined the word "blog." Anyhow, back to my frustration... As many of you know, BS01 has been down. During that time that it has been down, Epsilon has been trying to help us redo the mothersite. At first things were going well. Truly we didn't know what the heck was causing the extreme server load, so we were basically like, "Let's just get rid of the problem altogether and redo the main site!" Things at first were going swimmingly. Eps was working hard, alone, by himself. But that was ok because he was doing a fine job on it. As you may have heard, all of the BS01 Wiki Staff have already seen how it's coming along. Goin' great. Or...at least it was. Unfortunately, a couple of days ago a huge storm that knocked out the electricity in many, many cities took place. Epsi was hit. Thus he was two days behind because of a power outage. *Glares at weather* Then not too long ago, Swert, Eps, and I were talking in a chat about how things were going. Swert apparently copied and pasted a segment of an email or PM or something from Binky that showed that we were still causing extreme server load. Swert suddenly decided to reinstall the wiki. It was very confusing, but that's what is hopefully going to happen. Anyhow, to reinstall the wiki, one needs access to the wiki. To have access, someone needs to bring down the redirect on BS01. In the topic that discussed BS01 being offline (BS01 Offline) Eps gave his words on the matter... So now we wait... ~U

Hello all. I actually wanted to make a blog after this week as over, and only premier could have blogs again () but I couldn't resist mate Anyhow, concurrently I'm just testing some things out. I'll be lookin' around and see what's up and how to change page styles and whatnot. So..until this week is over, I'll just be foolin' around. Don't be alarmed if ya see something entirely odd and random. Anyhow, busy day for me. Helped bones out a lot with the S&T contest. My eyes are now bushed. Seriously. You try sifting through all those entries....twice So now I'm just chilling, not doing much. There isn't much to do here, so like yea. *Testing, 1...2...3...test, test...* ~U

Sure thing then bones. I have time today *glares at BS01* so I can help out. I guess [can't spell member's name, the new judge] has pretty much gotten all of the orange. Purple time now. Of course, I won't go by the votes, because I haven't voted in some of them yet! ~U EDIT: Heh, I guess most of the judges forgot that too. I've been trying to help lately with BS01 down *glares* but besides that, Turakii [can't spell, the newest judge anyway], myself, and mm have been at it. Although the new guy already had many he judged from previous times. Yes >_< reading does make your eyes go sour.

Hmm...I wonder bones... I say we just wait till the prelims end. Many stories that didn't make it can be put aside. Then us remaining judges can focus on the ones that are going on. No reason to judge those that have no chance to be official. *cough* Like my story, which died horribly in the polls. Although I was surprised as to who won (Or who is winning) *cough* One really long cough, but does that sound like a plan bones? I'll post the suggest in the leftovers topic. ~U

Fine....I'll just tell you all right here. In my contest entry, Khote noticed (and bngi noticed the same) that I spell 'Tamaru' wrong...a lot. I wanted to say that I am guilty of spelling his name wrong. Instead I used a q instead. Bones loved that so much he made this banner. Which I will probably use Anyhow...yes.....we all make mistakes. Laughing at them later on is guite funny. (Meant to spell that wrong) ~U

I agree there, one of the best ways to write stories. But do you have a basic ouytline like: Piraka arvive on Voya Nui Toa get to Voya Nui Toa loose fight against Piraka TMD Exactly how I write Greg. Just let it flow I'd say. But TMD, I guess that you would need some basic outline, but the detail would have to write itself. Sure maybe you have to get the Toa to Voya Nui, but that's up to the moment for one to decide when and how they get there. ~U
