  1. So is Helkyre approved or what?

I ask you to put more in the bio about her backstory and you refuse, something I point blank tell you I'm not going to let fly. Your response is to simply say that you'd really really like it if I were to just let it go by. Yeah, no. You seemed to like the idea of PMing me the backstory stuff you didn't want in the profile, but I've not had anything from you.

So no, Helkyre is not approved. Because of course it isn't since you've done absolutely nothing to remove the problems I had.

    Name: Nyarl

    Variation: Sleep

    Level: 2

    Gender: Male

Gear: Nyarl’s sole possession is a Toa disk looted from a Matoran village, emblazoned with a Kanohi Mahiki and imbued with the elemental power of fire, which he has practiced with extensively. However, it had lost most of its power by the time he acquired it; its use results in only a mid-sized burst of flame, which dies within seconds unless carefully fueled.

Furthermore (and this is more of a talent, but this section seemed like the best place to explain it), Nyarl seems to have an innate skill with some form of anomalous geometry (rather like Captain America’s “super-geometry”, but decidedly non-Euclidian), able to swiftly calculate lines and angles that seem practically impossible. This lends his fighting style an air of unpredictability.

Appearance: Nyarl is uncannily tall and slender, looming over all but the tallest Rahkshi despite his almost impossibly cadaverous physique (though despite appearances he isn’t any weaker than a normal Rahkshi). He is entirely pitch black, except for his eyes, which are the stygian blue of the deep seafloor and flicker like pits of flame in his skull. What really makes him stand out as odd, though, are the tentacles—four large (about two-thirds of a bio in length), muscular, tentacles erupting from his Kraata-case where a normal Rahkshi’s spines would be, and four smaller, slightly weaker, quarter-bio ones around his mouth and on each hand in place of fingers. Each tentacle is armored and tipped with a razor-sharp blade, but only the smaller ones are prehensile enough for anything other than attacking, and his finger-tentacles are the only ones suited for anything more delicate than picking up something relatively sturdy.

Personality: Always “the quiet one”, Nyarl tends to speak only when spoken to, and then only in a slightly ragged whisper. Despite this, he enjoys the company of others, and can display a lightheartedness and charisma utterly at odds with his freakish appearance when the mood strikes him. However, this cheerfulness belies a somewhat alien thought process, and he barely even acknowledges the sentience of anything that is not a Rahkshi or Makuta.

Bio: Nyarl’s story begins on the day a Mutran-wannabe sent one of his underlings to procure a tissue sample from one of the vampiric sea-squid occasionally seen near the Pit, in hopes that he could harness its genetics and add similar abilities to his Rahkshi. Had he bothered to run any tests on the lone tentacle his servant brought back, however, he would have realized that the appendage was not from any squid, but from something else entirely…

He realized this soon enough, though, as the hybridization of unknown tissue caused both Kraata and suit to mutate. Furthermore, the dreams experienced by test subjects who were exposed to its power were exclusively nightmarish, to the point where several test subjects were driven gibberingly insane, and its mere appearance was enough to push especially weak-minded beings to the breaking point (thankfully, Rahkshi and Makuta are made of sturdier stuff). However, it tested well in combat despite its flaws, being strong, limber, and uncannily hard to predict. It also proved to have potential as a field operative, once taking out a small village of Matoran singlehandedly in order to deal with a single bothersome Turaga. To take advantage of this obvious potential, Nyarl was allowed to keep his victim’s old Toa disk, and was sent to Corpus Rahkshi.

    That seems more reasonable. Approved

Because I have a character that transforms, I'm writing two profiles. Same character, though.

    Name: Moonlight

    Variation: Hunger

    Level: 2

    Gender: Male

Appearance: Much shorter than the average Rahkshi. Small, stubby fins. Peachy-orange eyes. A mistake with his armour left the head dark blue.

Gear: An iron armcover fitting over his right shoulder. Suspiciously looks like a big hand...

Personality: Shy, nervous, and generally friendly, Moonlight loves to write, a feat he learned with some difficulty. His happy demeanor emphasizes his non-threatening nature and a willingness to help.

    Name: Sunshine

    Variation: Hunger

    Level: 2

    Gender: Male

Appearance: Big, tall, and deathly scary. His Kraata mask has been warped into a Hordika-like form. Blood-red eyes. Twisted, nightmarish fins. A more defined hunch to him than the usual Rahkshi.

Gear: A Gauntlet that fits over his right hand. Has connection points that seeming could fit into his shoulder... If they were bigger.

Personality: Sunshine finds everything and everyone annoying and abusive, unless he has gained a trust or respect of them. His taste for combat is extensive. All other Rahkshi who cannot fend for themselves or eliminate threats are weak, stupid fools who must be shown how to obey. Sunshine really likes the gruel.

    Combined Bio:

Mutran had a scheme. To make a Rahk that could shrink at will. So he created the most hideous amalgamation of an actual functioning Rahkshi armour suit (with several flawed attempts), and shoved a Kraata inside. Sunshine was born. At the end of the day, however, he shrunk against his will into a form with no awareness of his previous existence. Mutran decided to let it live, feeding Sunshine information on the small Rahkshi with no brain while keeping Moonlight content and poor, making Sunshine gain an incredible bloodlust for Moonlight, a target he would never find. He then sent Moonlight to corpus, with Sunshine seemingly heading to eliminate him.

Powers: Besides the usual hunger power, Sunshine/Moonlight will switch between both forms when the sun rises/sets, whether or not They are indoors/underground/shaded from. As an added issue, whenever They look in a mirror, they see the opposite one of Themselves.

While I do quite like the concept, I'm going to have to say no to this, at least for now. I think the difference between the forms is too radical, makes me question too much as to how it works. And if they're supposed to be unaware that they're the same person (Moonlight seems to be at any rate) then how do they explain the probably quite large gaps in their memory?

And yes, the time thing could be a bit of a problem....

Pkus, don't forget that de now has a watch.

I think. Ultron never clarified that along with the portable plasma in a bottle.

The watch I believe I said I was fine with. The plasma I questioned the science of and suggested acid might be a better substitute. Did you ever actually respond to that?

And for the record, I imagined Gorast's attack took place during the dusk, carrying on into the night

  2. IC: The jaeger was backing off. But backing off wasn't finished. Backing off wasn't dead. Glaceras' tentacles swept at the beach itself, throwing up plumes of dusty sand that were buffeted towards Iron Vengeance, a desert storm in miniature designed to blind and confuse the enemy as more tentacles continued to go for its ankles...

  3. Is it too late to retcon Eclipse to be from the same Makuta as Mantis?

I don't see any reason why not.

Here ye, here ye, stop the Latin fight! As someone who has taken a year of Latin, I am now Grandmaster of Latin in this forum, and hereby say that Nato's joke is funny! So let it be written, so let it be done! :P

Five years of Latin, culminating in a GCSE grading. And two years of Classical Greek. And yet I'm terrible at things like French and German. I am doomed to master only dead languages...

    Name: Nyarl

    Variation: Sleep

    Level: 2

    Gender: Male

Gear: Nyarl’s sole possession is a Toa disk looted from a Matoran village, emblazoned with a Kanohi Mahiki and imbued with the elemental power of ice, which he has practiced with extensively.

This lends his fighting style an air of unpredictability, and increases his accuracy and dodging ability—though not nearly as much as an actual Rahkshi of those varieties, of course.

What really makes him stand out as odd, though, are the tentacles—four large, muscular, nearly bio-long tentacles erupting from his Kraata-case where a normal Rahkshi’s spines would be, and four smaller, slightly weaker, quarter-bio ones around his mouth and on each hand in place of fingers. Each tentacle is armored and tipped with a razor-sharp blade, but only the smaller ones are at all prehensile, and his finger-tentacles are the only ones suited for anything more delicate than picking up something relatively sturdy.

Personality: Always “the quiet one”, Nyarl tends to speak only when spoken to, and then only in a slightly ragged whisper. Despite this, he enjoys the company of others, and can display a lightheartedness and charisma utterly at odds with his freakish appearance when the mood strikes him. To take advantage of this obvious potential, Nyarl was allowed to keep his victim’s old Toa disk, and was sent to Corpus Rahkshi.

Got a number of problems with this actually. First, the elementally powered disk. Kind of feels like that would be giving him Toa-like control over ice, which I'm not letting slide. If you wanted a disk that just created ice on the things it hit...you do realise Freeze is a power Kanoka are often imbued with?

Similar problem with his anomalous geometry. You say it doesn't match up with the actual powers of Accuracy and Dodge but it sounds like it does to me. Get to higher levels and a Rahkshi of those species would leave him outclassed, but it looks indistinguishable at the lower levels...and thats a problem since its the lower levels people start at. Between that, his disk and his actual power its like you've tried to cram four powers into Nyarl and I really can't let that pass.

I foresee the tentacles being problematic as well, though this is more due to their length than anything. I think Rahkshi would be about 8ft tall, which comes to around 1.8 bio. Those tentacle on his back are more than half as long as Nyarl is tall, and since they're not prehensile they're just going to dangle down over him. He'd tangle himself up every time he tried taking a stroll.

Lastly I'm going to have to point out that at level 2 he doesn't actually have enough power to put people to sleep. Just make them groggy and slow. So he's going to have trouble giving anyone nightmares

  4. What does backstory have to do with anything? I didn't have any backstory for my other characters, and they were fine. Seriously, I'm not one to pull something out of my behind and use secret backstory as an excuse.

Your other characters were described as new. They didn't have much backstory written down because there simply wasn't that much backstory to be written. Helkyre is different. She has a backstory, you just haven't explained or revealed it. I've started questioning that more with other profiles, why wouldn't I do the same here? If I didn't apply the same standards to everyone, what would be the point?

  5. Well, the first batch included a Kane-Ra horn and plenty of obscure weaponry. A sonic cabasa seems fun to me.

...I'm beginning to notice a trend here. Sonic horn, sonic bow, sonic cabasa. Ultron, you love your sonic booms.

Well it allows for considerable impacts and splash damage, something which a lot of Rahkshi lack even if they're level 6, without all the pesky after effects (like fireballs and shrapnel) that a regular explosion has. Essentially it gives you a nice and powerful weapon without making it insta-lethal or too OP

    Name: Helkyre

    Variation: Teleportation

    Level: 2

    Gender: Female

Gear: Various embalming tools, as well as a shovel for digging graves. She also has a chisel and hammer for marking gravestones.

Appearance: She is quite skinny, but otherwise looks normal... well, at least her right half. Her entire left half, split from the right by what seems to be a fine line (not an actual line), looks withered and decayed, almost as if it has been burnt, rusted, corroded and all other manners of destruction, leaving her looking like she's half alive half dead.

Personality: She is very cold and distant to other people, and if they get in her way in the slightest, she can be quite rude to them. She has a deep respect for the dead, and will go lengths to see that they are honored, regardless of who they were when alive.

Bio: Little is known of her past before Corpus Rahkshi, but she arrived very recently after the arrival of Icarax and Gorast. No-one knows why half of her body looks like it does, and when approached, she will either walk or teleport away from the conversation without a word.

Eh, could there be a bit more to the bio? Just when we get these enigmatic types it always seems a bit like a license to add any detail or skill you need later down the line

  6. IC: [Venga - Wilted Forest]

"Yes, yes, you're very big and flashy and we're all very impressed." Venga was tempted to pat Severain on the shoulder, but that level of condescension might have gotten even into his head. "Now, since Venix is here and the Av-Toa has decided to return, I believe we are all assembled. Should we get this enterprise underway?"

IC: [Turbo Vixen - The Spine]

"Then I will also call you Fission. And you can call me Turbo Vixen."

They'd come to a steeper area of the mountains, pushing deeper as they were to reach the coliseum. Turbo just drove right up the side, centripetal force gluing her to the cliff-face.

"Or just Turbo. Or just Vixen. I'm not picky."

    IC: [Olari - Muaka's Den]

"We just got incoming is what just happened there."

Olari had been scanning the rooms with x-ray vision just before the mass teleportation, looking for the power source she believed to exist. She'd seen as the empty cells very abruptly became occupied.

"They just 'ported a whole bunch of people in there. None of them our guys, not that I recognise anyway. I think it would be the prisoners Virse was telling us were supposed to be here. Guess they had to lower or weaken the shield to get them through...."

If the shield could be downgraded like that...it meant it could be broken. And they had even more cause to try now they knew the huge number of people kept trapped in there. Under other circumstances Olari might have fallen back, tried to get more firepower or more support or more intel...but there were people down there. People kept captive and forced to do who knew what. It was Bionifight all over again but so many times worse...

A pole flew from the quiver on her back, and floated down to the forcefield around the tunnels. There was something definitely geometric about the shield down there, like the way precious stones were cut. It reminded Olari of diamonds. And, like a diamond, the forcefield was apparently tough enough to resist anything thrown at it...unless you threw something at it in just the right direction.

"You're a chain lighting Rahkshi Xara, and that?" Olari pointed at the staff she had hovering over what looked like a major convergence of cleavage points. "That is a lightning rod. I want you to throw as much power as you can at it. See if we can't find a way to break apart this blockade..."

    IC: [Hollis - Muaka's Den]

Well that had been a most abrupt end to the games. More than a little overhyped by the announcements that preceded it. Still, Hollis thought to himself as he sat alone in his cell, it had not ended in a complete bloodbath as had apparently been hoped. And he considered that a win. It was a thought that made him smile, and his colours shine bright

  7. IC: If there hadn't been an Alpha Kaiju attacking the island of Xia, someone might have thought it odd that a glacier was approaching the island. Especially as it was moving too fast and against the current.

It was, of course, the orthocone kaiju Glaceras. Since the Alpha and its immediate entourage had done the brute work of shattering their way through the first stages of Xia's defences he had come to pick from the bones. The first prize that presented itself was the jaeger Iron Vengeance still trying to stem the flow of kaiju into the city, a pebble that thought itself a dam.

Glaceras moved closer as Emalia duelled with Dodger and the other assortment of monsters that were trying to bring it down. His tentacles slithered through the waters, creeping onto the beach where they sought for the Iron Vengeance's legs, trying to trip it, snare it, topple it. If it fell it could be dragged, back into the seas, down into the depths. Prey for Glaceras...

  8.

OOC: Draco has found a weapon by the name of the Necrosmith. In it's scythe form, it can drain the power of any being it it slices or impales, absorbing it for later use. The absorption is, however, very slow. In hammer form, the hammer can release this energy. The hammer can also channel the power of it's user.

So does the absorption thing only work as long as the blade actually has contact? Because being able to constantly, even if slowly, drain someone if you just give them so much as a little nick is way OP.

And in hammer form I'm guessing it can only use the stolen power to the degree its absorbed them?

For the scythe form, it has to be in constant contact, yes, and the hammer form is also yes.
Hey not-Ultron, think this got missed.

Oh I just thought me not having any more questions or criticisms was obvious enough that I was letting it pass.

Adjusted Holistic continues to be approved

  9. Alright people. Hold onto your seats. A new Kaita has arrived, and is now pending approval.

    Name: Drowspark

Fused from: Rail, Numlef and Dormirahk

    Variation: Magnetism/Electricity/Sleep

    Level: Kaita

    Gender: N/A

Powers: Can channel either Magnetism or Electricity in a wave that extends in a half circle around them. They also have a passive drowsiness effect field that surrounds them in a five bio radius. The closer a person is to Drowspark, the stronger the effect is. Also, all abilities of level 2 kraata of the variations that make up the fusion.

Gear: Drowspark carries a Brightbolt Crossbow, a large crossbow with bolts that explode into bright light that can blind opponents, as well as unleash magnetic and electric blasts. If it hits someone dead on, it will not only shock them and magnetize them, but also puts them almost instantly to sleep if they're not strong enough, and even then, they'll be having a hard time staying awake for quite some time. In addition to that, Drowspark also carries a longsword which they will use if they happen upon a close-ranged battle. Also has an awesome cape formed from the blanket Dormirahk always carries around. Also, pillow armor. It's surprisingly durable and effective.

Appearance: Three times the size of a normal rahkshi. It has three pairs of legs (six legs) that are attached to an enlongated lower body which curves backwards, giving them a something of a six legged centaur look. They also have three arms, one large arm on the right side, and two on the left side that are a bit smaller. Their armor is a gradient of red and maroon, with blue and white electric spark patterns in certain areas. Their head is six eyed, each row of eyes representing the individual personality within the Kaita. The bottom most pair of eyes always looks a bit drowsy.

Personality: The Kaita is formed of Rail, Numlef and Dormirahk, and contains their personalities.

    Bio: TBA

  10. IC: [Hollis - Sota Coliseum]

The Skakdi kept focusing all his attacks on the turtle. His smouldering feet should have told him that was a bad idea. Hollis stepped in to meddle in the fight once again, switching back to the Kikanalo roars. Sonic waves powered from his mouth, though not quite to the rock-smashing variety the actual animals could get to. Hollis didn't want to go tearing his throat out now. No, he just used enough force so that the net was caught in the cone of sound, and hurled back at its creator.

Hollis knew Skakdi. He knew that they couldn't use their element solo, had to be in union. Some got around this by using weaponry that tapped into their reserves of elemental energies, which looked suspiciously like what Thak was doing. Which meant, Hollis thought, that he wouldn't be able to absorb his element of thrown back at him. That net, intended for the turtle, should tangle him up just as nicely...

    IC: [Venga - Wilted Forest]

"I wouldn't worry too much. To answer both you and the sapper, I'm a level seven adaption Rahkshi. Most threats I just need a few moments to adjust to and then I can just walk right through them. And if there's something too hazardous even for me..." He pointed with a thumb towards Feraz, "I say we let Mister Nosey take point."

  11. I like the idea of keeping the players, hero and villain alike, on the one planet to begin with, as with the player numbers around here that should mean that everyone stays relatively close and able to interact with each other. However I do feel that, with everyone on Tranquis VII you should perhaps describe some of the locations on Tranquis VII. Maybe a few key places of interest people can either start at or group at

  12. Hmm, i've managed to have acess to a computer at least once/twice a day, and i am also keeping up w/ story fairly well thus far. so i tihnk i'll retract my statement of hiatus (i'm p sure i made one of those, right?)

also alongside a new post for Snap/Teeth, i figure i'll try and throw another one in,

    Name: Rose

    Variation: Plasma

    Level: 2

    Gender: Female-identifying (She/Her)

Gear: sharp, retractable claws and sharp, retractable teeth.

Appearance: Very spindly, but rounded. Sharp black thorns pepper her armor over a thin, red, vein-like pattern. Stands slightly more erect than a rahkshi should, but this merely comensates for her otherwise shortness. Her spines are very curved and slightly crooked, matching the thorns.

Personality: Perpetually excited for some reason or another, though she speaks in a soft, shy tone. Enjoys the taste of other Kraata over refectory slop (okay, that might not be a fair comparison.) Has trouble seeing other rahkshi as people, she sees them more as really difficult game.

Bio: Alterations by a particularly experimental makuta to make a rahkshi that's even better at hunting than normal had a small side effect in making said rahkshi prey near-exclusivly on other kraata. on top of this, as a new-breed intelligent rahkshi, "Rose" was capable of cracking normal rahks like walnuts, devestating the poor makuta's army. With nowhere else to really turn, the rahk was sent to Corpus Rahkshi, with the thought that other new-breed rahks would be able to outsmart/outrun/outfight this otherwise apex predator.

The alterations to make her better at hunting are just the retractable claws/teeth mentioned in gear, yes? No enhanced senses or anything?

I should also point out that, kraata-hungry or not, she's going to have trouble taking on a Rahkshi army. Even if they're the same level as her and have the same limits on powers they're going to get her by simply numbers

  13. OOC: @Wyrd That's pretty much the long and short of it!

OOC: Seems a fair enough means of doing it

OOC: Draco has found a weapon by the name of the Necrosmith. In it's scythe form, it can drain the power of any being it it slices or impales, absorbing it for later use. The absorption is, however, very slow. In hammer form, the hammer can release this energy. The hammer can also channel the power of it's user.

And in hammer form I'm guessing it can only use the stolen power to the degree its absorbed them?

OOC: Beat has found a set of kinetic bolas. The orbs store kinetic energy, and charge by being spun through the air. Once the grip is released, any impact on the orbs causes the bolas to release the stored energy in a powerful (but very localized) shock wave.

What happens if you use the bolas as they're intended? If they just wrap around someone do they still release that shockwave?

IC: The toppling of the Clocktower was clearly visible through the village, let alone to Gorast high amongst the raging storm. And even through the booming thunder, even through the howling wind, even through the shattering rains...her cackling laughter was heard by all. It cut through the tempest ad chilled the hearts of all the Matoran who heard it. Even the Rahkshi students felt the fingernails of fear trying to scratch away at them...

IC: Palma looked over the battered form of Venom, drawing conclusions from the injuries.

"If you were to give the name of who did this we could take steps to make sure they never do it again. We're trying to cut down on the bullying here, especially bullying of such violence."

  14. Reposting for another attempt at approval.

    Name: Feka

    Variation: Sonics

    Level: 2

    Gender: Male

Gear: He has a bag with a journal, pen and a map of Nynrah. With the rahkshi suit, his right arm is a device similar to an earth claw. It can act as a hand, shield, drill or jackhammer, although it cannot use two or more modes at the same time. Underneath his bed, there is a toolbox for maintenance, but it is not carried with him.

Appearance: The rahkshi suit is painted with a gold head, kraata case, hands and feet while the rest of his body is black. The eyes are neon green in color and his spine is a column of short spikes. On his right arm, there is an earth claw with an emerald in the centre. His left hand and wrist are silver and the legs have silver kneepads and greaves equipped for extra protection.

Personality: Feka is curious by nature and takes great interest in the matoran. He often remains quiet to avoid drawing attention. Sometimes, he scribbles away in his journal when bored and often keeps track of the events going on. Feka is trying to teach itself the matoran language which makes his speech slow and shaky. Although he is a rahkshi, the sonic rahkshi says he wants to be a matoran, changing his previous name to the Matoran word for "iron spirit".

Bio: When the kraata was spawned from his Makuta, it began demonstrating the sapience of a matoran. It was placed in a rahkshi suit and given permission to explore the world around it. One day, it stumbled upon a matoran village. The rahkshi was interested in the matoran living there and spied on them, eager to learn more. When he returned home, the rahkshi of sonics found a journal and pen, quickly recording his observations. Since then, he has returned numerous times, adding more information to his journal and even began to try and teach itself the matoran language.

Recently, he has been allowed to join Corpus Rahkshi to take advantage of the library.

Approving this before I forget it again

I mean, you realise plasma is technically a gas, right?

Normal plasma is. Bonkle Plasma is pretty much glowing hot goop, isn't it?

Hmm, I thought Greg had said at some point that plasma in Bionicle was the same ionised, superheated gas that it was in our world...

Yeah, I'm going to request it takes a few moments to actually scan the objects its highlighting the weaknesses of. Otherwise...how does it know what to highlight?

Works for me. You want me to edit that into the original post, or just keep it in mind going forward? (Though it'll probably wind up in Sepulchral's profile when I update it, regardless.)

Make a mention of it when you edit it into the profile (everyone else is remembering to edit their new stuff into their profile too, right?)

"Ah so you're not someone who particularly favours subtlety. Could be a useful trait on this-Hey!" Venga had more than a little objection to having strange beams run over him. He glared at Feraz, "There are these things called 'permission' and 'consent'. You probe me with anything without asking against and I'll happily teach you the meaning of both while tearing that device from your arm. Understand?"

His colours were returning to normal with Kopen gone, and the screens from his eyes retracted, revealing a glare towards Feraz.

"We are still waiting for my associate, Venix. I would prefer to not leave without her since we are both searching for the same goal."

OOC: I assumed those scanning beams were visible, Uni. I'll edit if thats incorrect

  16. Name: Glaceras

    Species: Kaiju
    Gender: Male
    Category: Category 1
Adaptations: Endotherm. Glaceras' skin actually absorbs heat rather than emitting it, creating an aura of cold around him. While this doesn't completely negate the plasma weaponry of the jaegers, it does prevent wounds from being cauterised.
Personality: Patient and cautious, careful with deeds and words.
Bio: He's a kaiju and has lived a kaiju's life. Spends a lot of time drifting around the Sea Gates with only the top portion of his shell visible, pretending to be a glacier to lure in Frostelus nomads. When they try to move in he shakes them off then snatches them from the water, a small but easy meal.
Appearance: Looks like a particularly ancient squid, with a roughly conical shell that conceals his rubbery body. The shell is actually ice, frozen seawater that has built up over the years and just keep growing. Glaceras only takes up about half of this shell, most of the top is just solid ice. From the front dangle his enormous tentacles, dozens of them, all covered in "armour plates" of ice and tipped with a beak-like pincer sharp enough to shear metal. Four bulging eyes rest around this gelatinous mass, each pointing in a different direction to make sure all avenues of attack are kept visible at all times. In the midst of all the blubbery tentacles and bulbous eyes is his actual mouth, another beak but larger and stronger than those on his limbs, its edges serrated like teeth.

  17. IC: [Venga - Forest Exit]

At the Av-Toa's exit he rolled his eyes, not that it was visible behind the protective black screens he'd evolved over them. Did she realise she was kind of proving his point about needing added protection with outbursts like that?

"Have you known many adaptive shadow kraata?" he answered Severain, "We're not exactly common. Not sure if its different in your universe."

IC: [Turbo Vixen - Bionifight Exterior]

"Nah, don't worry about that. I abandon you its going to be well thought out and completely deliberate. Come on, its this way!"

She started trundling off towards the Spine, where the suspicious coliseum lay...

    IC: [Hollis - Sota Coliseum]

Hollis sighed inwardly. Just as he was setting up a hazard for the Skakdi, the turtle went and punted him clear of it. Well that was just great. Turtles today...

Nevertheless he continued his bombardment on the Skakdi, scattering the ground around him with red hot gravel and burning droplets of magma. It would be less fun to tread on than some sort of brick-based child's toy

  18. OOC: The Eye is basically tags weak spots (seams, cracks, pressure points, and the like) with a small marker that doesn't obscure the wearer's vision; the brighter the marker, the more vulnerable an area it highlights. It activates nearly instantly, probably in under half a second, but the whirring noise it makes when turned on makes it nearly impossible to get the drop on someone with it.

Yeah, I'm going to request it takes a few moments to actually scan the objects its highlighting the weaknesses of. Otherwise...how does it know what to highlight?

OOC: Fog has recieved a belt of six flash-bang grenades and instructions to make more.

Okay, just bear in mind finding materials to make more grenades just became a lot more difficult :P

OOC: Interacting with Beat. Wyrd, Blue has picked up 4 specialized magnets, powerfully attracted to only near-identical magnets.

    Oddly specialised but okay

The watch is basically a handleheld version of the Minecraft clock - it tells the time by tracking the sun/moon through the sky (eg midday/midnight the sun/moon would be in the middle of the sky and then as the day passed the sun/moon would travel to the right with the background getting more sunset-ty/sunrise-y).

The vial would only ignite the area that the puddle touches - so a small puddle would effect a small area and a large puddle would effect a large area. The heat is dependent on the amount used, so all of it would yield the fires of Mount Doom (slight exaggeration) and the tiniest drop would yield an ant bite.

So the vial is less about turning something into a cool looking weapon and more about trying to burn through things? Wouldn't it be easier to just say you'd got your hands on some acid?

  19. IC: [Venga - Forest Exit]

"In short? She did." He pointed at Kopen, "Pre-emptive defence towards being zapped with lasers. Only buys me moments but thats better than no time at all." Looking to the accused Av-Toa herself he added, "Nothing personal. Just consider it an allergic reaction, us being from opposite ends of the field and all."

  20. OOC: Wyrd, or whatever Anglo-Saxon name you have, I'm gonna need a little bit of conformation on the watch and the vial.

The vial itself contains a potion that when poured over an object it covers it in plasma. The plasma lasts for how much was poured over the object, a small drop lasting 1-ish minutes, a good pouring 3-ish hours and the whole vial 2-and-a-bit days. It slowly decreases in lethality over time, before disappearing.

OOC: That watch is just a watch, right? Since its described differently from how watches normally look and all. Is it just for telling the time by what position the sun is in, or does it do more?

Vial...I'm going to need more description on that too. What if you just poured a drop on the ground, do we get a very literal game of the floor is lava? Or does it only ignite the area it touches? What about the heat produced by plasma, isn't that going to just instantly melt whatever you put the potion on, making it useless for flaming swords and such?

OOC: Wyrd, Gaever just picked up a device which appears as a small detachable armor plate adorned with a single button. Upon activation by this button, a Hau-like shield is briefly summoned, vehemently knocking anyone or thing closer to Gaever than arm's length away from her. It requires a period of recharging before it can be activated again, which for simplicity's sake is not exactly specified but such that it can only be used once a fight.

A miniaturised Crast, essentially? Seems fair enough

Wyrd, Kaboom just snagged himself an Electro Chute Blade.

Was a bit unsure about its phasing potential but I think I've handed out trickier items so thats good

OOC: Terror is a siphon Rhotuka launcher, able to siphon and channel the power of one target, so long as the power is not overwhelming. In this instance, the power was from a Rahkshi of Vaccuum..

So would it work something like this; you shoot one target with the rhotuka, it siphons off a little of their power. You should a second target and it unleashes that siphoned power on them?

OOC: Sepulchral has found the Eye of Karzahni, an eyepiece designed to highlight the weak points in a target. When activated (by rotating the lens) it makes an audible whirring noise.

Could you be more specific on how it highlights weak points? How long does it take to scan a target so it knows what those weak points are?

The rahkshi of chain lightning found a firework revolver & 10 rounds of ammunition.

Simple enough, I got no problem with that

OOC: Sliver has claimed a Twilight Blade

    Or this.

IC: The Matoran had the advantage of hime turf, and some devious and nasty weaponry. Kanoka disks were tricky to deal with, dishing out effects unknown until they hit you. Cordak missiles were nightmares of fire and heat. Skyblasters were more common than ever and were spitting out balls of light in every direction.

But they were being forced to keep their focus on the Rahkshi rampaging through the streets. Which meant Gorast was going untouched, and she wasn't letting up. She was doing her best to ensure the defending Matoran couldn't organise a proper counter: gale-force winds tore down barricades, lightning struck at rooftop snipers, hail drove apart gathering mobs...There were some threats she either couldn't or wouldn't deal with. The force heading towards Grim she left as a challenge for her progeny. There was a group of Ghosts armed with lightstone rifles taking potshots at the attack team while holed up in a clocktower sturdy enough to resist the storm's wrath. There were streams of Matoran heading for the boats in the harbour, but that was for the perimeter team to deal with...

She looked down at the carnage and chaos below. The Matoran attempts at resistance were either crumbling or laughable, this would end in another fine victory for the Brotherhood...

Rain was about to have a smaller victory of her own. The weapon she grabbed would have been small even in Matoran hands, it was tiny in hers. Possibly some form of club the weapon was made up of a short handle sprouting from a cylindrical drum, the drum encircled by chains of linked beads. Too enraged to care about the diminutive size or odd shape, Rain struck out anyway, the weapon smashing into the Ghost's flank...and sending him flying away with a bang that rattled the whole building. size clearly wasn't everything...

OOC: Rain has received the cabasa known as The Percussor. Each of the beads in its chains is charged with sonic energy that reacts when the weapon is "played". Striking things with it will amplify your blow with a sonic boom, while twisting them along the drum will unleash destructive sound waves. Just be careful about aiming with that last one, as the circular nature of the weapon means pointing it in the right direction can be tricky
