I took that challenge, even though the commercials are really obnoxious. It's weird, because I feel like I generally have preferred Bing in the past (it's my default on Chrome), but in ALL the blind searches I chose Google. I guess I just have Microsoft bias. Or I was searching for things that didn't really turn up disparate results so it was a fifty fifty toss up. I do feel like Bing turns up more relevant results when asking questions.

The audio jack is on the bottom... why? Just... why?

Also a big "why" to the entire phone. Admittedly I've never been a fan of Apple products, but I can readily admit that up through the iPhone 4 they had a really good product lineup. But the 4s and 5 have just been sad offerings, and people just lap it up. I recommend everyone look up the segment Jimmy Fallon did on the iPhone 5 and then explain it to me in a way that makes western culture not seem terrible.

It was pretty good, I thought. I was a fan of Coraline, too.

The (admittedly not-remotely-explosive) reaction to "that one line" (which was also the movie's only notable twist) made me a little sad, considering, like, the entire point of the movie. But you know.

A really, really excellent set. Good price per part ratio, I believe it's the only set with Gollum (I wish he had an interchangeable Smeagol head) and it looks really cool. Definitely the best spider Lego has ever made.

Now I need a Treebeard set of the same size that comes with Merry and Pippin.

My least favorite coworker (for so many reasons) called me Twinkle Toes today. I think it was supposed to be an insult but it didn't work very well in context. I took the nickname gladly.

    I think that upset him.

So... Going to Brickfair might not be significantly more expensive than going to Brick Fiesta. But I feel like it would be significantly more awesome. And also would give me a month longer to prepare. Also it seems like all of my BZP friends go there and I would love to meet you all for reals. Should... should I try to do this?

So I still really want to go to Brickfiesta, but I really can't justify spending so much money to go. I just can't.

But! If I were to split hotel costs with someone I could maybe swing it.

So anyone interested in going and also sharing a room?

... Was actually a month ago, oops.

It's been a pretty great six years, you guys!

I know this might sound shocking, but I actually have a couple MOCs in the works right now. Crazy, right? Maybe I'll post them.

Haha! No. But I might send them to Deevee soon, dunno.

(Also I've been buying Mega Bloks lately, shhhhh)

    ABSURD

Just been herp derping. Anything notable happen while I was away?

Mass Effect 3 was so awesome... until... well, you know. Still, I'm enjoying the multiplayer. So far I've unlocked Drell and Asari Adept, Quarian and Salarian Engineer, and Turian Solder. I loooove the Drell Adept. Just explosions everywhere.

I'd really like to go this year. Obviously it'll be easier than ever before, since I live in Texas now, and I'm about to start a full time job at Walmart (yay, only took me like four months to get hired somewhere) so I'll probably have money. It'd just be great to go to a Lego convention, finally.

Just curious if anyone here (here being my blog, and not the entirety of BZP of course) is planning/considering going. It'd be cool to meet some of my internet friends, finally, if only to prove you're real and not hyper intelligent chatbots.

edit: actually it was closer to five months
