  1. IC: Kalyss shrugged at the matoran. "I don't know. I haven't been here long, but I've never seen one this big before, ever. If I were to suggest a plan of action, it would be to evacuate the town, and begin a search for people who got caught." Kalyss sat down against a wall. "Why can't Vakua be here? This would be so much easier!"
  2. IC: "Gah!" Casanuva jumped back. "This day was supposed to be corpse-free!" Nunonu leaned over the body. "Yeah, he has been here a long time. Would fit; this equipment is old, they have new models in Onu-Koro.
  3. Hmm. So I was thinking about Plasma as an element, and I would like confirmation that I'm not taking it too far: The primary use of Plasma is to create directional superheated plasma. However, in theory you could create or control any plasma. So, you could also make supercooled plasma, but you kinda have to specialize in one or the other, in order to be conservative in power. Lastly, you can make harmless plasma for light, such as Neon and Fluorine. I'm thinking like the Neon power in InFamous 2, but just for light.
  4. IC: Casanuva caught a lightstone, and swiftly uncapped it. Nunonu examined some of the equipment. "We're not that far underground... why is there mining equipment here?"
  5. IC: Casanuva stood straight, and adjusted his armor. "If I'm going to fly, I'll do it in the perfectly natural way! By bending the laws of electromagnetism like putty and affecting only myself." Nunonu looked up at him. "That... doesn't sound very natural." "Oh hush." IC: Skorm stalked through the underbrush towards Le-Koro. He had found evidence of a battle a few hours out from the cave entrance he had tracked Casanuva from; his idiot brother's footprints had continued on with the matoran. "Idiot. Idiot! I can't believe the first one I find is Casanuva. Why couldn't I have found Vakua? He's practically a radar!" He spotted the koro above him. Skorm activated his gravity powers, and levitated up to the Le-Koro platform. He deactivated his Huna, and drew down his hood. He sighed; time to start questioning people.
  6. OOC: Well, from what I understant, the have the possibility to exist, but nobody has seen a bohrok. Which I believe is some sort of food. IC: "Valuable mask!? Nuh-uh! No way! I know how these things work. There's probably a nest of kofu-jaga or worse down there, and I'd rather not have my trip interrupted by giant stingers! Let's go the most direct way. That doesn't involve magma."
  7. IC: Vakua smiled coyly. You're right, I can't vocalize. That's probably the reason the Great Spirit blessed me with this mask; lets me hear all sorts of interesting things. Vakua blinked behind his visor, then realized what he had just thought. He smiled weakly and raised his hands in front of him. Um, what I meant to say was that I use it for communication. I've trained myself to filter out other people's thoughts unless they are thinking about me. Others have misused the gift of telepathy, so I empathize. Vakua arched his spine and popped his fingers. He looked around the restaurant, noting the layout, the people, and most importantly, the glass and ceramics. He raised his hands, looking less like a conductor and more an artist framing his newest piece. He tightened his hands into fists, slowly; as he did so, the entire building seemed to hum. The De-Toa fingers began to twitch, to a beat, emanating from the floorboards. Suddenly, his arms went limp, and the music surged. OOC: You're gonna have to insert your own awesome music. Vakua has a musical mind, not me Part performance artist, part musician, it seems...
  8. OOC: Did you perhaps mean Kanohi? Because Krana don't exist, and Kraata are squishy. IC: "Well, lead the way."
  9. Hmm. I wonder if Vakua was included or not, based on his Suletu.
  10. IC: "But we just CAME from Onu-Wahi!" Casanuva exclaimed. He sighed. "Oh well. Lead the way, o guide."
  11. IC: "Thanks." Kalyss states sarcastically. "If this is the second-worst Koro, which holds number one?"
  12. IC: "Hmm. So we have." Kalyss looked around; the patrons of the inn were perturbed by their presence. "Just taking shelter from the storm," she spoke clearly to the rest of the room. "Anway, yeah, I figured this is an inn, but I meant what is this place? About ten minutes ago, I was choking up seawater on a beach. I don't have many memories before that."
  13. IC: Kalyss sarcastically tilted her head. "I see this town is diverse." The Su-Toa ignited her hand in a harmless jet of plasma for light, and peeked out the door. "Speaking of, what exactly is the place? I'm afraid if I've ever been here before, I don't remember."
  14. IC: Nunonu piped up. "Walking is good, yes." Casanuva looked at the onu-matoran as he put him down; Nunonu cast his eyes downward. "What's wrong?" "I'm not becoming a burdon, am I?" Casanuva balked. "No! Of course not." "Well, its a bit more dangerous than I thought out here, and I... think my presence is just hindering you." "You're fine! We gotta see the island still!" Nunonu mused on that for a second. "Hmm. True." "Besides, look at it this way: you're with me! You have my guaruntee its the safest place on the island." Nunonu smiled. "I guess so." The lift hit the ground with a lurch. Casanuva didn't seem to notice and started striding. "C'mon! It's just a simple walk into Ta-Wahi!"
  15. About time! Composing my little request now.
  16. IC: Kalyss noted the pain, but left it uncommented. "Well, that's good at least. You get sandstorms like this often?"
  17. IC: Kalyss dropped to her feet, and started brushing off the melted sand from her armor. "Thanks. You okay?"
  18. IC: Kalyss hit the sandstorm running; that was a mistake. Her mask deactivated, and Kalyss was thrown forward into the ground, half her body stinging from the sand. By the time she felt she could move, half her body was covered in sand. Kalyss began generating plasma; hopefully, she could just melt the particulate before it got to her. Had the useful side effect of lighting her up like a flare. The Su-Toa trudged through the sandstorm. She felt her feet melt through the moving sand onto colder, harder stone. Looking around, she noticed huge statues. She continued forward, wiping the now molten sand from her face. Farther, she passed through huge, open gates, and saw the Koro. It was rapidly filling with sand. The only movement besides the sand was a closing door down the street. Kalyss stared for a moment indecisively. "Well, it the first living thing I've seen yet." Kalyss quickened her pace, and reached the door. She turned off the plasma flow over her hand, and wrenched open the door, allowing her to stumble in. Nearly on top of the grey toa she had followed. OOC: Onarax, that's you!
  19. IC: Po-Koro Coast Water. This was the first thought that entered Kalyss's mind as she came to. Which was strange; Kalyss was not much of a swimmer, nor a Ga-Toa. Sand. That was more like it. Kalyss loved running in on star-scorched sands. But this felt... different. Kalyss breathed in, deeply and slowly. She was met with a mouth full of cold saltwater. Water? Water! Kalyss jolted. The Su-Toa opened her eyes, only to be stung by saltwater. She was being dragged away from shore. Kalyss reached a hand out, feeling for anything; it dug into the wet sand. She pulled herself forward, one limb at a time. She was breathless; she didn't know if this was from waking up, or nearly drowning, or both. The ocean lapped around her as she crawled to her hands and feet. Every joint in her body seemed to be clogged with sand, water, or salt. She felt the air around her, and clamped her jaw. She focused; she felt her body, her mask, her armor, channels obstructed. Her entire body was wet. She should fix that. Kalyss concentrated, and plasma started to flow. Every joint in her body, every vein from which her element could flow filled with superheated, neon plasma. The Su-Toa concentrated as the heat and pressure flowed through her armor, and she remembered it's purpose and function: channel her power, reinforce her body, and defend. Defend those who cannot defend themselves. Help those who are helpless. "Right," Kalyss said. "I'm a Toa. That's what we do." We? Who was we? Kalyss could not remember a time when she ever did this. remember her training, vaguely. But she remembered those she called brother and sister. Unfortunately, she also remembered more than their names. Kalyss growled as she climbed to her feet. The Toa Kalta, she remembered. That was what they called her team. Whoever 'they' were. Well-trained. She recalled sparring for longer than she could imagine; but never using her experience. It didn't matter. Just do as she was trained to do, and she would succeed. But she was trained as part of a team... Skorm needed to control the field of battle, Vakua would link them together at the speed of thought. Aelied would direct her, and- "Casanuva." Kalyss growled. That selfish layabout knew nothing. Sure, he might have been the second best warrior (next to her), but he never wanted the responsibility, too afraid to risk his life. Even for others. He could never be trusted to be a Toa; Aelied saw that. Even Skorm saw that. The rest were too soft. Kalyss stood. She shouldn't think of her brothers like that; he would learn. She scanned the horizon; Kalyss saw mountains in the distance, over the desert. Closer, though, she saw a great sandstorm. Her first thought was to avoid it, but something about it was off. The toa looked around, and saw a tall rocky outcropping about half a mile away. Kalyss crouched, and her Kakama glowed. She took off with mindbending speed. She reached the rock in seconds, and was on top of it in about half a minute. Kalyss saw roads leading into the sandstorm from all around; it must be a settlement. There was only one thing a proper Toa could do. Kalyss activated her Kakama again, and took off towards Po-Koro.
  20. Good! Makuta of Metru Nui decided to take a break from the BZPRPG, so I guess I'll start my new character alone.
  21. Query: Is the sandstorm still going on in Po-Koro?
  22. OOC: Oof, seem to have missed this. MoMN and I made a pact that we can move our characters around if the other one isn't around, so I will be controlling Nunonu for a bit until he feels up to taking back over for him. IC: Nunono grabbed a few mouthfuls of food before standing up, and followed Casanuva out the door. Casanuva had his gear packed, and lifted Nunonu up to his back and magnetized him. The Fa-Toa twisted his back and stretched as he got aboard the elevator. The pulleys screeched as the pair was lifted down through the canopy of the jungle; "Keeping up with a flyer, running into a volcano. This is gonna play Karzahni on my back, isn't it?"
  23. Geez, this is the second time I've received a message about Vakua's Suletu. At least Ghosthands actually fact checked and didn't sound condescending. Do I need to sig this or something?
