  1. IC: 1/20

Vox found himself suddenly transported to Ko-koro, with all the other fighters he had managed to avoid thus far.

"And here I was prepared to just lay down in the snow and die." Vox muttered to himself as he took aim at FF, all three of his Boltikons unloading into the fire from a distance, while they were distracted with Xccj.

  2. "Hmmm", wondered the judge, who suddenly snapped his fingers.

Suddenly, everyone found themselves teleported to the middle of Ko-Koro, the Rahkshi Kaita that had been there vaporised by the judge.

"Everyone's health is now set to 1/20. SUDDEN DEATH! And some of you still have your Masks of Fire..."

Shouldn't the round really be over, as it typically ends friday evening or saturday morning, and it's well past both of those.

  3. OOC: Yeah... That isn't a power you have, though I'll roll with it. Also your health was at 4/20 in the prior post by you, so basing the damage off of that

    IC: 7/20

Vox was not expecting what came next... As Timelord's gear began spinning, Vox could tell it would only spell bad news. As such he attempted to swivel away from the fighter, meaning his back was facing timelord versus his front.

And as Timelord essentially spontaneously combusted, Vox could feel the energy but his wings into nothing, and singe his back.[HP: 4/20] Though if Timelord had more health, Vox was sure it could have killed him, but the fighter was weakened, and his lifeforce just wasn't what it once was.

Vox turned back to face where Timelord had been, staring down at the smudgen of soot where the fighter once stood.

"What a waste... you could have had a chance."

OOC: For Clarification, I accepted timelord's attack, though based the damage on how much hp he had at the time. As such it wouldn't have been enough to kill Vox. I think this is a fair way to judge it.

  4. IC: 7/20

Vox raised two of his Boltikons towards his chest, in an x-like pattern in order to deflect the dual weapons. His other boltikon attempted to slice at Timelord's right elbow, while his one free, though injured, hand balled up into a fist and attempted to deliver a powerful jab towards Timelord's stomach, a punch powered by over 13 points of damage, thanks to his kinetic absorption. It wouldn't inflict that much damage, but it would be far more potent than a normal jab would be.

  5. IC: 7/20

Vox was in no way blind. The instant he saw that sword power-up, he knew he was going to have to deflect it. And deflect it he did, swiping at it with one of his Boltikons, though the other two were aimed directly at Timelord, one aimed at the hand holding the sword, while the other was aimed at Timelord's stomach. With the pulling of triggers, both shot off simultaneously. This was an incredibly small cave, and even Vox was having difficulty standing up fully, though this of course meant movement would be limited, and blocking attacks would be the victor versus dodging.

"You really should just let yourself die... You have no hopes of making it to Ko-Koro, and your sword can only do so much. Would it not be better to die in glorious combat than to die from the hazards? Or are you just going to run away again, realizing that you're not that great of a fighter if you don't have your portals?

OOC: Your health was at 6/20 timelord last time you posted, just fyi.

  6. IC: 9/20

The insectoid had no intention of allowing Timelord or himself to escape death. As such when timelord ran off like a coward to seek shelter, Vox followed, though just far enough behind that timelord may believe he lost him. When the fighter had found the convenient cave, Vox waited outside, obscured by the blizzard given the silvery-white that made up his body, though he could see within the cave well enough.

He waited, hoping to ensure Timelord felt "Safe", even as the cold nipped at his muscles [7/20] -2 Blizzard damage.

After a sufficient amount of time to allow the fighter to feel like he was safe, Vox rose from his crouch. He aimed his newly acquired spear, aiming directly for Timelord's midsection. The blizzard would likely mask the spear's flight, powered by the increased strength the insectoid now held, meaning by the time timelord heard the spear, it would be too late.

As soon as the spear left his hands, Vox followed swiftly behind it, all three boltikon's at the ready. Timelord would die in his cave, even if that meant Vox would have to die as well. Afterall he had no intention of surviving nor winning. It was the thrill of the battle he enjoyed. Though at the rate things were going, he might be the only one to get a confirmed kill.

  7. I felt like Vinheim would take a special pleasure in keeping them alive but helpless to stop him as well. :P

Yeah that seems like something Vinheim would do. I mean he was super eager to try and kill Makuta for very little good reason, so such acts of cruelty aren't exactly beneath him.

Vox was impressed by the deft of the fighter as he managed to block the more critical attacks, though that bit of respect was soon lost as Vox attempted to dodge the sword aimed at his hand. While he managed to dodge the majority of the blade, it still caught the "Thumb" of that hand, slicing it clean off. [9/20] However what could have been a far more dangerous wound was negated due to the light nature of the sword, allowing minimal blood loss and as such a bit less damage than would have been taken otherwise. Though that hand was now useless in terms of being able to pick items up, or wield the Boltikons, though the two fingers that remained could still bunch up and be used as a fist.

"I'm impressed." The Insectoid muttered, his tone sarcastic though there was an underlying hint of honest respect. Vox desummoned two of the boltikons, and instead reached for the now powerless spear of fusion he had strapped to his back. Vox loomed over Timelord who was still confined to the icy ground, approaching him menacingly with the spear held at the ready. "Without your portals you are a far more respectable fighter. It makes you think, instead feeling secure in the fact you can teleport out of the way of attacks. It also makes you far less predictable."

Vox took aim with the Boltikon, the Gunaxe aimed for Timelord's head. He raised the spear high, and thrusted it towards Timelord's stomach, while simultaneously firing off the Boltikon.

OOC: Sorry for the lack of response. Internet has been out since about 4 pm my time. This is the first chance I've had to hop on.

  9. Thanks for everything guys.

Real talk though, I'd thought I'd end up dying.

I think death would be a better option than life in prison, but did kind of expect you to die in glorious combat as well.

Though on that note, I must say I'm glad to have had the teammates I did in the Stone Region. Quin and Shadowvezon were quite the efficient teammates.

  10. OOC: For the record I wasn't aware that the Staff of Ultimate Power was a factor in this. To be honest I haven't been reading all that much. The tumble on the other hand I wasn't sure if I wanted to lose health over. For reference, I aimed myself for Vox, he teleports out of the way and so my momentum carries me into the snow, and whilst I am tumbling around, Vox's boltikons strike from behind me. That all I was aware of. I'll edit the original post, but other than that I was unaware.

OOC: My fighter can't even teleport and I gave no indication he was teleporting in the post, but ok. And you really should at least pay attention to judges posts, as Pulse reminded everyone about the staff of ultimate power sometime ago.

  11. OOC: You seem about right in terms of health Xccj, as the staff of ultimate power is the only auto-hit you've suffered.

    IC: 11/20

As Timelord used his sword to block Vox's talons, the weapon made of light managed to slice into a talon where it was thinnest, from an early skirmish, causing a decent chunk to go flying off [10/20]

Vox turned fully now so as to better face Timelord. With his Boltikons held at the ready, Vox lunged at Timelord. One axe blade was aimed at Timelord's head, while the the other was aimed at his midsection. However the third boltikon, instead of having the blade aimed, was poised to fire off another round, also towards his midsection. Vox's one free hand, which in itself was tipped with sharp claws, was clenched into a fist, aiming to gut-punch Timelord. And if it was allowed to make contact, Timelord could be certain it would feel like being punched by 4 fists times at once, thanks to the kinetic absorption.

  12. IC: 11/20

Vox could only watch in some... confusion as Timelord spun. He wasn't sure if he should be confused or offended, as timelord seemed to assume Vox would remain still as fighter spun, which wasn't the case. Drawing his Boltikons, Vox dashed towards Timelord, two boltikons aimed to fire at Timelord, while the other was brought up towards his head, in an effort to deflect the sword. However with timelord now towards Vox's back, the insectoid kicked backwards with one if his mighty talons, aiming to not only impact the fighter but puncture him as well. And given the amount of damage he'd taken, an physician impact from the insectoid would be potent.

  13. IC: 11/20

With his prior attack having failed, Vox angled his free hand towards the ground, digging into the ice as he attempted to swing himself to a standing, or at least crouching position. He was in quite the predicament, as he was between two attackers, both with forms of teleportation as their primary resource... Though with the new addition of the funderful disk, the insectoid began to form a plan. He watched Timelord carefully, ready to act should he try anything. He reared his disk throwing arm backwards, and slung the glorified frisbee at Timelord, robbing the fighter of his oh so important portals.

Though this still presented the issue of Imrukii. The Insectoid reached for the spear of fusion draped across his back. "Just so you Nato, I'm sorry about this! But you are likely the only fighter who would put some effort against the fusion, whereas all the rest would just team up and make it easy!" Vox shouted as he called upon the spears power, arcs of energy shooting across the field and hitting Nato and Imrukii simultaneously, resulting in some likely unholy fusion.

Though at least that got imrukii out of his hair, as the two were likely fused somewhere in between their two locations.

"Now Timelord, let's fight." Vox growled, resuming a predatory stance as he readied himself for whatever the fighter would throw.

  14. OOC: Hold the heck up there Imrukii, I'm calling shenanigans on that nonsense. In your prior post, you stated you teleported behind Vox, with your weapon aimed to strike, so where did this random tumbling and fumbling come from hmm, that just conveniently allowed you to dodge the pre-planned attack, an attack that wasn't even planned for you, but worked the exact same since it relied on Timelord teleporting behind Vox.

Also fix health, you should have 5 points missing.

  15. IC: 11/20

There was a reason Vox aimed his body so that his feet would strike Timelord... He expected Timelord to teleport behind him, right infront of where is face now was, and where all three of his Boltikons were aimed. In the nano-seconds Vox was suspended in air, he pulled the triggers of the three boltikons, the three of them aimed directly where he predicted timelord would appear. Though of course it wasn't timelord who fell for the trap, but Imrukii. But the insectoid didn't care, for he knew it would be nigh-impossible for even the teleporters to dodge an attack they did not expect. Sure it relied heavily on chance, the chance that timelord would teleport, but he knew these cursed teleporters all too well, and he knew their tactics.

And that is why you plan ahead.

  16. Well, I'd been hoping to avoid the "we learn nothing from our mistakes and go straight back to idiotically slaughtering each other" ending by just killing off the problem people after we won, but I suppose it wouldn't be Game of Thrones if the goods guys won and everything was perfect.

Friend or foe, ally or enemy, I thank you all. It's been a pleasure playing the Game of Thrones with you all.

I like to think that sole guard whom vinheim hired to deliver and guard that briefcase, is still waiting for vinheim to kick the bucket, so that he may deliver said briefcase and Nato can finally know icly what those numbers meant.

Even as the insectoid sprinted, he afforded himself a swift, disappointed shake of his head. That insult didn't even make sense.

As he came closer to Timelord, the insectoid suddenly applied the brakes, though as he did so he spread his wings out wide. They may not be able to attain flight, but they are still functional. With the speed he had gathered, and the sudden decrease in acceleration, his wings created a vaccuum of sorts, sending a considerable gust of wind towards timelord, but more importantly that gust carried with it snow. With Timelord hopefully blinded by the snow clouded, Vox too advantage of what momentum the ice beneath his feet afforded him and launched at Timelord. Halfway through the jump, Vox angled and twisted his body, allowing his talons to aim towards timelord's chest.

As Vox was charging at Xccj, he suddenly found himself assaulted by multiple effects. First he felt a crippling bolt of energy strike at him from some distance away, which knocked a considerable chunk of his health off. [11/20]

But oh it gets better. As he recoiled from the massive damage, he felt a... pebble? Something insignificant strike his back. He tried to take to the sky, only to find himself rooted firmly to the ground despite his wings flapping. He wasn't even going to start to try and explain the science behind that.

"Really? You believe flight was my greatest asset? Do you realize how much damage I have taken?" Vox shouted towards Timelord, desummoning his boltikons and raising his four hands into the air, clenching them into fists that crackled with the newly gained strength. "I am going to make you wish you had never laid eyes upon me, you envious little worm."

Vox crouched low to the ground, his talons digging past the snow and ice as he braced himself. His four hands pressed flat against the tundra. And he was off, Xccj forgotten by the insectoid as he once more reverted to a primal method combat, sprinting across the tundra. The newly acquired strength and hatred pumping pure, unfiltered adrenaline through his muscles. He had fought without flight before, and he was prepared to fight without flight once more as he made his way towards the speck of dirt that is the fighter named Timelord.

OOC: Also timelord, you realize I wasn't even fighting Imrukii right, at least not for the last day?

  19. I'd be fine with Vinheim dying, even though it would not be preferable, but fine with it as long as it's in a manner fitting of his life... Gloriously Dramatic. The Vinheim Flare. Also preferrably in Nato's arms, and with Vinheim's last breath, he'd whisper another set of random numbers to Nato, once more with no context.

  20. I've got to agree with Nato here... I see no outcome that most would agree to. I'd rather it just end in "The world didn't get destroyed and all life didn't cease to exist. How that happened, is lost to history.." Insert generic mysterious wind sound

Also Nato, in my version of ending, your Character would profess his profound and secretive love for Vinheim, as I can think of no other reason you are obsessed with killing my character. Afterall if Vinheim dies, the temptation is gone from your life, and you are free from the burdens of unrequited love.  ;)
