*Twitches as he reads some of the actions in the Tesara battle* Holding a spear... with your elbows... That is a new level of What The Karz.

At least get the quote right.

Awkwardly holds a spear with his arm nobs.

A eye for a eye or in this case two arms for a head.

But those arm nobs are your elbows... if Stronius had only cut off your hands, I could see it being more understandable as we see people in real life without hands but wrists able to hold pencils and whatnot. But these are your elbows. Have you tried bringing your elbows together?

  2. I don't normally post to this section of the forums, but this is an interesting topic, I do have to agree with Squidmaster that people who brag about the "Deals" they find is wrong, particularly those who make it a point to point out how foolish the seller was. I mean talking about a great deal you got isn't wrong, but it's when it crosses that fine line that it becomes wrong.

As for a seller selling an item for way less than it's worth, I've also got agree with Zarkan. It's not the buyer's responsibility to inform the seller of the actual worth of their items. If the seller has already gone through the process of setting it up so that they can sell, it's their own fault for not doing further research. The buyer shouldn't feel any guilt over the price they paid, whether it was substantially less than it should be, or substantially more than it should be. The seller makes the choice to determine their price, and the buyer simply chooses to spend their hard earned cash.

I don't think assigning right or wrong to it can be done easily. Humans tend to take the route that is easier, less resource consuming yet just as efficient. Why overcomplicate a simple process? The same can be said for purchases. It's why we have so many huge chain stores constantly competing for people's money. Why spend more when you can spend less?

Sure it would be fair if everyone got the highest value for an item they could, but that would also create an economic disaster. Prices need to fluctuate to keep things in check. Though that also raises the question of what determines the price an item should be? Is it based solely on production costs? Supply and demand? Sentimental value? All of these and more are factors in deciding how much an item is worth, yet most of these factors can be subjective. I doubt it costs LEGO $20 to make a single 75113 Rey set, yet that is the price they set, based on statistics and other fun filled bits.

I mean by your logic, price gougers are in the right, people who sell the Ekimu set for $60+, or people on ebay who sell random bits and pieces of bionicles thrown together haphazardly for upwards of $80 even though logically such parts shouldn't sell for more than $20.

It's just a very difficult topic to determine if it's right or wrong. Ultimately I think it comes down to seller responsibility.

  3. Timelord, if Bara Magna is unable to make glass vials, I very much doubt Bara Magna is able to produce useful prosthetics. Hook at best. Though I also very much doubt any tribe would waste time on keeping a stock of prosthetic limbs when resources are so scarce.

  4.

    Have you considered great Ta-Koro

    We have a lava moat

    - :burnmad:

They do seem to be rather well off in this...

Also pulse, you have a mistake in the next to last sentence in the scene. Vulcanus declared war on Roxtus, not Tesara,

You assume he made a mistake, but maybe there is a larger conspiracy than you are aware of. Not saying there is, but ya never know.

  5. Well typically if someone is going to sever a limb, it's done to keep them alive, but not quite a danger as they once were. I mean there's no greater cruelty than leaving someone alive, but mained and disabled. On purpose at least.

  6. I'd strongly suggest you all stop pestering Hyethut over actions he's taking icly. If you want to beat him up over it, DO SO ICLY. He's playing the game how it should be, with a clear separation between ooc and ic. It's not his fault Timelord went and revealed what's potentially happening icly, which I should say I don't approve of. The leaking bit not the events taking place.

    Get off his back.

  7. To be fair, all of Jungle's Misfortune could have been avoided if they weren't so... trusting. Had they doubted Orkahm's words, maybe the village wouldn't have been burned. Though the skrall issue is totally a problem of Tesara's, or at least Timelord's making.

  8. Right now the various tribes biggest problems are themselves, seen with issues in Iconox and Tesara. Say what you will about the skrall, but they've done little to no damage compared to what the tribes have.

Though it is very interesting watching this debate from a "I'm not involved" angle.

I think I have a chance of not dying this season.

    Cool.

If we all play our cards right, then the entire Jungle Tribe has a chance of not dying.

Minus the Jungle Soldier who got blown to bits by Bone Hunters and Orkham. Unless you just mean players?

  10. I notice in the last episode that you left out the italics in Hyethut's conversation, as well as an edit of mine: 'tyrant or fool'.

To be fair, it was likely I who left out the italics, as for the pms I handle, I take all the actions, put them together in a separate text document, and then hand them over to Pulse. As such Italics tend to get lost in the transition.

As for the tyrant or fool, odds are if you edited the message to include it, I likely handed it over to Pulse before you edited it.

  11. I've got to agree with Nato... playing a role that allows one some freedom to move around is nice. I had more fun playing Vinheim than I ever did as Mask Maker.

Reminds himself he still needs to make that Vinheim moc.

they were extorting all of the other villages, they could bribe Glatorian, and fix the outcome of Arena Matches in their favour, even when the Skrall were involved. They had the influence and the resources to get whatever they wanted or needed.

Here's something you have to consider... Did the general populace know this? The answer is likely no. You don't let the common folk know that their leaders are using questionable tactics to ensure their survival. To them the offer probably sounded great, because they were oblivious to what the higher-ups knew.

Letting the people decide was the stupidest move that could be made, as the common folk are not in the loop. And even if you had let them vote on it, nothing was done to rig the vote or lie about the results. If the higher-ups didn't want the skrall protection, they shouldn't have left it up to the oblivious common folk.

Or they should have worked to make the deal sound horrible, to sway the common folk to their side.

Also PS, Nothing of what I am saying is "Fact" as I don't honestly know if anyone tried to rig the vote or whatnot. I tend to keep my nose out of what Pulse handles unless it's something I need to know

  13. People who live in a literal post-apocalyptic wasteland were just accepting an alliance with the Tribe who has the strongest fighters and the most consistent access to multiple resources.

    Who's the stupid one here?

Pahrak has a point here... Bara Magna isn't some thriving utopia, but a war-torn land. Allying yourself with strongest to ensure your survival is the name of the game.

Iconox's people understood this, whereas it's higher-ups didn't. Give up a bit of freedom to ensure your continued survival and make your life a bit easier, or be stubborn and continue to fight to survive.
