First off, it's SUMMAH TIME!!!! (finished exams today)

Which means that Nikana, my first epic should be up shortly, and it means that Aftermath, Flood, and Heartless should be updated more regularly.

But it also means that I will be counting down my top 25 favorite songs of all time. First off is #25....and the first song on this list is....

    #25: ONE STEP CLOSER(Linkin Park)

What are your thoughts? Does this deserve to be on the list? Should it be higher? Or is this perfect at #25?

It seems like this is a relatively unknown issue, but an earthquake happened yesterday that measured 7.0 on the Richter scale and killed thousands of people.

Here's a salute to their people and the hope that their survivors can rebuild their fallen community.

Welcome to the unofficial Boxtus Arena Super Bowl 44 Thread for the big game today. The #1 NFC team, the New Orleans Saints(15-3), will take on the #1 AFC team, the Indianapolis Colts(16-2), who I happen to hate with a passion.

Major story lines so far: Dwight Freeney, lineman for the Colts, is expected to play, but only a minimal role. Even if he does play, I seriously doubt that with a torn ligament in his foot he will be that big of a factor. So that, while it may not sound serious, could be a huge advantage for New Orleans. If a running back or tight end can get off the line without having to bump Freeney, they can get into routes quicker and be ready for the ball much sooner, meaning a lot less stress on Drew Brees to get the ball away faster.

The Saints say there are going to try and do something that has never been done: Knock Peyton Manning out of the game. New Orleans isn't afraid of the 4 time MVP, and has repeatedly said that they are going to do their best to "knock him around." Expect this plan to either work beautifully or backfire horribly. The one thing it isn't going to do is make a little bit of change in the game.

Key notes: The Colts are 2-1 all time in Super Bowls. The Saints are making their first appearance. Teams that are playing in their first Super Bowl against a team that has been there before are 8-24 all time. New Orleans is 8-0 away from the Superdome this season, Indianapolis is 16-0 in games this season that Curtis Painter does not play in. For 33 or the past 41 years, if a team originally from the NFL wins the Super Bowl, the Stock Market goes up. If a team originally from the AFL wins, the Stock Market goes down.

Indianapolis Colts notes: The Colts ranked second in the league in passing offense in the regular season and it was because of one simple reason: Peyton Manning. Manning put together an NFL-record fourth MVP-season as he led the Colts to a 14-2 record in the regular season. The Colts offensive line isn't stellar, but it has given Manning all the time he needs to throw. On the flip side, the Colts running game has been terrible. They ranked dead last in the league averaging just 80.9 yards per game in the regular season. Joseph Addai, their leading rusher, had only 828 yards in the entire season. So if the Saints find a way to stop the Colts from passing...this could be a very long night for Indy. Meanwhile, the Colts defense is going to have to be at the top of their game to figure out all the trick formations the Saints run...not good news for a defense without their leading pass rusher. The Colts did hold the Jets, the top rushing attack in the NFL, to just 83 yards in the AFC Championship, but when they faced Tom Brady and the Patriots, the #3 passing team in the league, they surrendered 34 points and won because New England decided to go for it on fourth down on their own 28 yard line with less than 2 minutes left.

New Orleans Saints notes: That one offense that was better at passing than the Colts? It's the New Orleans Saints. Drew Brees had the best passer rating of anyone in the regular season, threw 70 less passes than Manning, and still only had 3 less touchdowns. The main difference between the Saints and the Colts is that the Saints can run the ball and the Colts cannot. New Orleans ranked 6th in the league in rushing, and the trio of Mike Bell, Pierre Thomas, and Reggie Bush lead a rushing attack that averaged 131.6 yards per game. Add that to the Saints already explosive passing offense, and New Orleans seems to be far ahead of the Colts already. On the other side of the ball, the Saints opportunistic defense leads the NFL in takeaways, and has 26 interceptions on the year, most in the NFL as well. This is probably the least appreciated group in the NFL, and Peyton Manning will have to be very careful with the ball in order to win this game.

Prediction: Everyone always seems to forget about how the Saints lead the league in scoring, not the Colts. Add that to the fact that all the Saints defense will have to be doing is defending the pass and not the run, while the Colts defense will need to be guarding both, and it's looking like New Orleans is going to be putting up a lot more points than Indy.

Final Score: Saints 35, Colts 24

So far I'm having trouble coming up with names that stick for this part. We'll try this and see where it goes.

    The WIN list

Invictus: In the world of ever increasing fail, it's getting increasingly harder to take advantage of circumstances and win at the same time. But Mange found a way to do it, and you can all see:
    Score= Mange 1, QQQQ 0

Halo ODST: EPIC WIN. MORE EPIC WIN. MORE EPIC WIN IN A BOX. (I must be new video game deficient)

KTM: Double win? Revamped Kazi epicly to make a cool self MoC, and then he did a very nice Kiina drawing. The Antroz was a little weird though.

SNL: I can't say I've seen it be any funnier. Especially their weekend update thing. If you aren't watching it now, you need to be.

    The FAIL list

British Restaurants: Not only does one actually serve bacon and egg ice cream, but it was sued by a customer who got sick from eating it. Quite honestly, why the heck would anyone order that anyway? I think a person who actually is that stupid should lose the right to sue.

Comic Maker Arguments: Really starting to annoy me. All this Xanis vs. whatever it is now. Can we just appreciate the comics for the point it's making and not just the image? It's like rating a video game on it's graphics and not on the plot or gameplay.

H1 N1 Paranoia: Starting to get on my nerves. Everyone is so afraid of it now, and from the people I know who have had it, it's not that bad. (apparently having regular flu is worse) Everyone calm down. It's not like this is some pandemic that is going to take over the world.

Robbers: Apparently there's been a string of church robberies on the west coast lately, none that I have known about more than Levacius' church, which was robbed last week. But the robber left his knife there, which was coated with his fingerprints. Fail once. Meanwhile, a bank robber accidentally dropped his I.D. card on the way out. Fail twice. Another robber tried to climb through a window and got his shoelace caught inbetween the two sliding parts of the window, where he hung upside down trying to get himself free(apparently his foot didn't fall out of his shoe) until the owner of the house came. And that's your TRIPLE FAIL.

MLB Playoffs: (Does anyone care?) I just had to throw that out there. No clue when it is.

October 14-16: I will be gone during Fall Break on a trip to try and help one of my aunts in a messy divorce. As much as I like getting off school, this isn't going to be fun.

October 16: National Boss Day. (LIKE A BOSS) Anyone who is a boss, celebrate! Or celebrate anyway if you need an excuse to celebrate.

October 31: Halloween. The day I go out and shoot anyone who attempts to TP with a paintball. (I took Calvin's dad's example, only I upped the ante a bit)

The final step to juniorhood begins tomorrow and wraps up on Wednesday. Really good use some good luck, this is a make or break week for me in terms of keeping my hopes for a scholarship to collage alive. Thankfully, I'm not anywhere near to failing any classes, but this is probably the most important exam week of my life in terms of what's at stake.

    Anyways, best of luck to....myself....yeah...

Better late than never, right? I seriously hope so. Here we go before jumping into the month full of exams, presents, and overblown Santa hype.

    The WIN list:

Bungie: Congrats on winning the Boxtus game of the year, ODST. And I think Bungie proved to pretty much everyone out there that Bungie and ONLY Bungie should be allowed to make Halo games. And by the way the engineer is hideous. Just saying.

Garlic: As much as I don't like to eat it, it really has proven useful in the last few weeks to keep Twilight fans away from me.

Makuta of Comedy: Amazing comics(leik SUPAH OSSIM) and plus she's the latest member of the Zehvor, which always gets you a good approval rating, at least here in Zehvor land.

iBZP(and all it's members): The last few episodes have been really good, especially whenever they starting talking about Mesonak's names, and it owns BZPowercast IMO. Now before I start getting flamed out of BZP on my blog, it's just my opinion. So no attack of evil fans, please.

    The FAIL list

Elizabeth Lambert(soccer player): PULLING PEOPLE DOWN BY THEIR PONYTAILS AND KICKING THEM IN THE FACE = BAD. BLAMING IT ON THE FACT THAT YOU'RE A GIRL = JUST PLAIN STUPID. Wait...here it comes...here it comes...LAME EXCUSE OF THE YEAR.

Farmville: HURRY UP AND DIE IN A HOLE.

Twilight: HURRY UP AND DIE IN A HOLE QUICKER.

Assassin's Creed II: OVERRATED. At least it was better than the first one though. The fail of a plot line really kills this.

Well, this is it. Time to decide the official Zehvor theme song.

It's Locking up the Sun(Poets of the Fall, suggested by Brenmac)

    Indestructible(Disturbed, suggested by Mr. Matoro)

Should be very interesting to see how this turns out. Zehvor, vote nao.

So I was at a Gamestop today, and I noticed at the checkout counter they had a Reach alarm clock of sorts(it was in a display case with a bunch of Spartan figures on top) that was counting down the days(only 10) to the new Halo. I forgot to take a picture of it with my cell phone, so I was wondering if anyone had seen something like it and new where it was available for purchase.

I hinted at it a few days ago, and now the plans for it are fully released. Yes, Goodbye Ordinary/TBTTRA Luxury Resort is getting a sequel.

The setting: Back to halfway through Season 4...Omega Mete has taken control of the government through the use of Xenon, and has launched an all out assault on the House. Some of the Bionicles escape from the House and head to the Luxury Resort/Hotel in order to escape. Mete tracks them down...where the showdown for the Hotel begins.

The story will be told through the eyes of someone. Haven't figured that part out yet. Probably a new character. What I do need is three co-authors who would like to write alongside me....just volunteer here if you want.

According to an unconfirmed official Lego site, Bionicle may be rebooting after 2010. So no more Toa, no more Makuta(is that good or bad?) and no more of the characters we've come to know. I only have one response:

    WHY!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!!?!?

Anyways, repent sinner. The end of Bionicle is near.

Being close to the end of the year and all, I thought I'd make a list saying what TV has taught us in the past year(or years):

-99% of Americans are, in fact, not as smart as a 5th grader
    -90% of 5th graders aren't as smart as a 5th grader either
-Dish Network, Comcast, and DirecTV all have more HD channels than each other at the same time
-It's perfectly normal to dress up like Vikings and take goats on skiing trips
-HeadOn is, in fact, mant to be applied to the forehead
-The most pressing issue in America is saving money on a pickup truck
-Saving money on your car insurance is second
-Ford is a popular truck company
-GM is really sorry for screwing up
    -So is BP
    -So is Toyota
-Singing rock songs about how much you love your bank is probably not gonna make you a popular artist
-Don't run out of Dorito chips when crossing a street, or you will be pancaked by a bus
    -Plastic surgery is perfectly normal
-Geckos can actually hold much more in their invisible pockets then you would think
-There are at least 5 dozen different animals/company icons responsible for saving Christmas
-Singing the catchy tune of your car insurance company can provide you with a hot tub
-Bud Light can't make you fly
-Eating a Snickers will save you from heatstroke if you're AC fails in the summer
-Pressing a tiny red button with "Staples" written on it will automatically provide you with anything your heart desires
-The NFL has an "official" company of everything
-And, finally, the Mac vs. PC commercials are never to return. CRYING FACE. Curse you iPad.

Got some more information on the co-authored summer story thingy. First off, it has an official release date: June 7th. Secondly, the character whose eyes the story will be portrayed through the eyes of....(drumroll)

    TWO CHARACTERS(dun dun dun...)

Anyways, the choice wasn't easy(is it ever?), as we don't have a central side character like we did in the days of TBTTRAH. That said, there were a couple of characters from there who really hadn't had their personalities developed, and still haven't, so I thought I'd take the opportunity to give them a chance to "shine" in their own halfway special way.

That said, it ended up coming down to a list of these characters:
    Terpo
    Skidak
    Dakama's other GS's name(which I can't remember at the moment. lol)
5 Mask(hasn't done anything in forever)
XTRM(does this thing have "character" in the first place?)
Nocturn & Gadunka(something tells me this will wind up badly)
    Brutaka

Anyways, that's the list. If you have anyone else you want in there, post it here. Keep in mind though that it can't be a guest star or one of the people that escaped during the Zehvor's jail raids in the beginning of Aftermath, cause then we'd have a huge plot hole to fill and I don't wanna do that.

So vote for which name you like, and we'll go from there. Also we need a name. Any suggestions there?

So here we are, at the end of the inaugural Omegafest, and I'm hoping that some of the stuff I'm about to announce goes over pretty well. Not that people on here would complain about it drastically, but there is some stuff that is a bit odd, even for TBTTRAH. So here it goes.

First off is the less important announcements. Aftermath 2 is now up and running(and if you didn't know that you're incredibly behind the times), and there will soon occur two events that are rather important in TBTTRAH history: The voting for Fanta Claus, and then the AFL Playoffs. And by soon I mean a couple months, but still, any votes/requests for either will be taken beginning December 1st.

Secondly, a look ahead at A2. As promised, some familiar faces will soon return, but probably most interesting is the introduction of two new characters, the appearances of which are rather spoiler riddled, but I'll introduce one for the time being, while the other can remain a mystery for now. The first is Purple Bouncy, who appears at around Chapter 20. Bouncy is the leader of a resistance group in "The Void," which is a distant planet that was originally being used to test the effectiveness of different societies by a shadowy group called "The Center." However, no contact has been made with the Center for years, and many of the inhabitants who have escaped from their testing centers have begun to wonder if they are still operating.

Next is an upcoming comedy with a TBD release date, called "Winds of Madness." Most of that plot will coincide with some of the upcoming events in A2, including the character that was not previewed in this entry. Oh, and as a hint for that character's identity, he's very familiar with Mesonak.

Now we're down to the two major announcments. Unsure as to which one should go first, so I'll put the one that's had the most development done on it before the not so worked on one.

One of the original comedies in the TBTTRAH series is getting a sequel. To commemorate the 5th anniversary of TBTTRAH, The Bionicles Try To Run A Luxury Resort 2 will debut on January 1st, 2012, detailing a very interesting month long trip by the Piraka and Barraki to the luxury resort. Expect some familiar faces to pop up here as well, some of which who haven't been in a TBTTRAH related comedy since 2009.

And then lastly is the non-comedy. Approval has officially been given for a CoT RPG that would take the concept of the GCC and turn it into a role playing game, where the inhabitants of the "Comedy Planet" are defending their world against the Dark Lord and its army of harbringers. This "Resistance" and Harbringers will function as the two different teams, with players picking a side.

The RPG would function similar to the games found in the RPG forum, but with a few new tweaks, including the addition of territory control, and added areas as time and player count goes up.

I think this is proof that God really does have lots of fun toying with us. Maybe "toy" isn't the right word, but you can decide what the word should be for yourself after you take a look at these images.

This is Earth. No, not the really big bright yellow, orange, and red thing. It's the tiny blue dot. Compared to the sun. Turns out the Earth really isn't that big. But it gets worse.

That's our galaxy. The Milky Way Galaxy. Where are we on the map? Not at the center. We're inbetween one of the bands at the bottom. To put this into context, take a quarter, and compare it to the continent of North America(The whole continent). The quarter is the size of the sun compared to our Galaxy. And our galaxy is just one of millions of galaxies in the universe.

    Feel small yet?

Take a look at the Whirlpool Galaxy.

It is one of the most amazing galaxies in the universe. But what's even more amazing is the black hole in the center. The Hubble Space Telescope, which, by the way, your parents are paying for, took this picture of the center of it.

One of the most common scientist beliefs is that the universe contains life outside of the kind found on planet Earth, because the universe is far too large a habitat for just us. I agree. But it's my belief that the universe is meant to be so much more than just a habitat for us. It's creation on display.

My attempt at a perfect run through Metroid Prime on Hypermode difficulty got destroyed today by the stupid Omega Pirate, and the fact that you can't freeze Ice Troopers anymore. And that it's insanely hard to find power bomb ammo anywhere. But then I owned him for a small amount of revenge...

Switching gears to Halo 3, my attempts at a perfect run on Heroic are being thwarted continually by Scarabs. Look for a head imprint on the brick wall if I keep getting to that point only to die again.

Outside of liking coffee, this is probably the thing I have received the most criticism on this blog for. Not being obsessed with Mario and giving it "ZOMG 10/10 RATINGS THIS IS THE BEST THING EVUURRRRRR." Well, today, I think I shall take some time to explain why I plain, flat out, don't like Mario, and why I think that 1st person series games such as Halo(that everyone stereotypes as stupid story-lineless sauce), and other Nintendo franchises such as Metroid and Zelda, are all better than Mario.

Story: "SAVE THE PRINCESS!!!" HOORAY. The most original storyline ever!!! Save a princess! Where has "save a princess" been used before, you ask? Gee, just maybe in EVERY FAIRY TALE EVER. So their story's unoriginal. And yeah, while some games can pull off an un-original storyline and still make it ok, the whole main problem with the storyline is that IT'S BEEN THE EXACT SAME THING since the 1980s. 30 years now of the same dumb storyline. Heck, they haven't even tried to change the main villain. It's still a fat turtle/dinosaur combination that takes no more effort to defeat than he did back in 1981 or whenever the heck it was, where all the battle entailed was jumping on an axe. But that's gameplay.

The enemies(smaller enemies) are really just as stupid. Jump on a turtle! Yay! I'm having so much fun! Oh look, LET'S PUT WINGS on a turtle and it'll be awesome!!! Ok, yeah, they aren't meant to be scary, but the thing is Mario villains, and really any character, is nothing short of flat out stupid, and the reason why ANYONE can enjoy this is beyond me.

Gameplay: Well, gameplay, not story, is what determines the true quality of a game, amirite? Sadly, the gameplay's just as dumb and unoriginal. Jumping on people has gotten just as old as the same old story over the past 30 years, and the special "upgrades" that they stick in game either make the game way too easy(fire) or they're just so stupid they're not even fun to use(cloud). The Galaxy additions really haven't done anything to help, especially 2, which I still don't see WHY everyone rants over it. Was it a good game? Yeah, it was "good" in the sense that it was good for a game with no story, but it was nowhere near a 10/10.

In addition, the boss fights are so easy they're not even fun. Take Galaxy 2, the "ZOMG 10/10 WE LUV IT." The giant worm boss is so pathetically easy it can literally be beaten in 20 seconds(not including cutscenes). And you don't need to be any sort of master at the game to do it either. Also, they re-used the same boss fight THREE TIMES. If that isn't the definition of un-originality, I don't know what is.

Now, for why the other games I've stated are better.

Firstly, other games attempt to have a story, and they attempt to make it original. I find it hilarious how Mario fans stereotype Halo as being a regular shooter, when in fact it's easily dozens of times more diverse in it's story and gameplay than Mario will ever be.
First, I'll focus on story. Halo's story is so large and expansive that it has a freaking series of BOOKS written about it. Metroid has a story that books could be written on if the series was popular enough. Same with Zelda, although I will admit Ganon is getting repetitive. Mario is the only Nintendo franchise where there is no attempt at any sort of original story whatsoever, and that makes it way less exciting to play.

Now for gameplay. Halo involves shooting. It also involves flying and driving, as well as choosing the right tactic to get through an area. "Do I sneak through? Go in on a blaze of glory? etc. etc." Mario is the same thing every single time. Run through an area, don't get hit by Boos, jump on a Koopas head. Boring. The powerups do very little to relieve boredom. Jumping on clouds? Whoopee. Rolling into a ball? Metroid beat you on that one by about 23 years. Wasn't all that entertaining then, sure as heck isn't now. Flying? Hooray, we just made the pathetic difficulty even EASIER.

Metroid is a prime example of diverse gameplay. There's exploring segments. There's puzzle solving segments. There's fighting segments, and there's a fun and unique story in it as well. With Mario, there's no exploring. There's always a straight, single direction to go to, and while you can replay levels, it gives this annoying feel that you're always being forced in the same direction. It's way too linear for a game that has this little uniqueness.

And in short, that's why I dislike Mario, think it's the most overrated thing ever, and I'm out.

I appreciate all the PMs sent asking why Aftermath was closed. It's kinda nice to know that a writer does have fans(even though I knew that already, but constant reminders never hurt).

As for why it was...I have about as much idea as any of you do. No reason was given as to why it was closed, so I have asked the mods to look into this. I can speculate as to why it may have been closed, and as weird as it sounds, it may be BZP acting up.

A few days ago, Mesonak showed me a screenshot of his personal messenger inbox, and it said his inbox was "99% full" while at the same time he had "-1 new messages." (as in negative one)

If anyone else has seen weird things happening on BZP lately, maybe you could tell us about them? I'm beginning to think something else is at work here...

It's that great time of year again when we do that stuff so we can do that huge bracket in January...yeah...

Anyways, this is how we're going to to things this year. 8 regular season matchups for each person. 4 at their "home" site, and 4 away. I'm not 100% sure about how many people we'll have for sure, but I do know this: 10 will qualify for the end of season divisional playoffs.

    So it'll work like this:

Meaning that last year's(if the regular season hadn't been interrupted halfway through by TBTTRAH's untimely closing) would've looked like this:
    2009 Potential Bracket

So far, I have the 9 Zehvor that are regularly appearing GSs in Aftermath and Mr. Matoro in. So that makes 10.

Post here if you want to join...

Winning the Divisional Championship assures you of a top 4 seed in the big 64-person bracket in January. More than likely, it'll be at least a #2 seed, although if the person who won went 0-8 in the regular season and then won 4 straight to claim the title, then a #4 seed would probably be in line.
