  1. I personally can think of a lot.

BIONICLE, upon retrospect, was just okay, no more.

Of course, it's impressive how a toyline managed to pull off such an awesomely convoluted (what I consider a good thing, the synonym of "realistic" in literature,) mythology, but despite all that every fanatic on this site would say, a true fan isn't blind, and no, not all fans are true fans. BIONICLE had lots of cliches to begin with (2003 - one big ripoff of LotR), and lots of plotholes to end with.

The only positive part in this situation was that the plotholes would be patched up, but then the problem would arise that with every plothole a new plot, started by the plothole's patching up, would arise.

Ultimately, this mess led to the fact that BIONICLE was convoluted - what, also, means "realistic", but also, it meant that Bionicle had become secluded, and ultimately the reason a lot of the people who hated it to begin with (and yes, any fanatics who might be reading this, such people exist, and arguably rival the number of fans) - those guys who were screaming, "Finally!" when Bionicle ended, - the reason for their hate was the almost "cultist" status of BIONICLE, where to join into the "faith" of BIONICLE, you had to read ten years of storyline and then a few serials on the side. So, like I said, or at least, intended to, while the convoluted story gave realism, it also set BIONICLE apart - in a bad way.

And, of course, a lot of AFOLs detested it for being a drift-away from the original LEGO.

  2. Frankly, comparing Hero Factory to Bionicle is like comparing something that we can't understand because we're too old to something that we shouldn't understand because we're too old but we still do because we're obsessed.

Bionicle's quality is seriously blown out of proportion.

  3. I've been worldbuilding for as long as I remember myself.

When I was little, I'd used to draw up maps of fantasy worlds in my spare time.

Now, my fantasy worlds are much more than simply big blobs of land in bigger blobs of sea. Now they are extensively designed and realistic, and most of all, alive.

Trust me dude, I know what I'm doing when I'm worldbuilding.

  4. Or Kakashi's variation of the Chidori from Naruto

Kishimoto was pretty nifty at names for techniques, I'll give him that, especially when referencing religions and legends like in Kakashi's original ('nother example: Amaterasu, the black flames and the sun goddess in Shintoism). But in all honesty, although that kind of lightning cutter is more how I imagine a raikiri, more people probably know and care more about the original.

And Tsukuyomi the moon god, methinks

And Kirin (the most epic and awesome power ever) was a spirit of lightning

  5. I don't, because

    1) there isn't enough COT artwork (stories included)

    2) that would set another ugly blatant line between COT artwork (stories predominant) and Bionicle artwork (stories predominant). In other words, COT writing would get even less recognition from the typical Library forum dweller
