1. No, I don't think that I shall conduct it that way. Yes, we shall have another voting for who are the next champion, but not now. I am not planning on having the next duel until August. I kindof want to take a break now, and on top of that, I have a hunch that BBCC #50 shall start up sometime soon... So to answer your question, nothing happens now. We congratulate the winner and I shall hopefully be doing some other things in my blog. I am planning on having another duel though, so don't fret! ~GBG~
2. Darth Vader! I would like to explain a few things first. I realize that it appeared as if the duelists were tied in the last round, but due to and oversight on my part, Roa didn't actually get the last vote, and thus, DV was one vote over Roa! On that note, I would like to present to DV his trophy ... There you go! Originally, the trophy was a little shinier and it was all circular, the corners were transparent. Sadly, the process of saving it as a .jpg sortof ruined it. I had saved it as a .bmp, which kept the transparency, but BZP wouldn't let me use that extension. If anyone has any tips for me on saving transparent images that BZP can use, then please let me know. DV, I am sorry, but it's the best I could do. The purpose of the trophy is to place in your blog. If you are going to do that, then please place the following code into a new content blog (titled whatever you want) Here is the code: (It links to the original MoCist Duels blog entry.) You don't have to use this, but I would really appreciate it if you did! This was a very close contest, and was alot more exciting that way! In the beginning, I was actually planning on reviewing all of the entries in detail, but I ran out of time and wasn't able to. Sorry. I would like to thank all of you who participated; without you, this would have been impossible. I am planning on having another contest (another duel) starting in August. In the meantime, I want to know what you guys thought of the contest. Here are some questions that I would appreciate if you took the time to answer (specifically the duelists): - Did you enjoy the contest? - Would you like to see it take place again? - What did you like/dislike about the contest? - What would you have changed? - How was my hosting of the contest? - How did I do on the trophy? - Do you have any suggestions for future contests? Congrats DV! I enjoyed watching you and Roa duel! It was quite fun! Also, I am sorry for making you have to build more Roa. Even though we didn't finish the tie-breaker, here is Roa's MoC anyway: A quote from Roa: More pics: back view belly view unfurling wings back view with wings extended Whew! I guess that wraps it up folks! And now, due to the fact that my stomach is growling for breakfast, I shall sign off for now! Edit: I changed the trophy to .png ~GBG~
3. Yay! You're your gool ol' hoppy self! And I really like your av and banner, very nice. ~GBG~
4. To be perfectly honest DV, I am being very flexible with this, and thus if you were to get your MoC sent in an hour or two late, then I wouldn't mind. Roa is behind me time zone wise, and thus, her creation got to me "after midnight" when for her it was before. Never mind, I see what you were referring to now, and thus, I think that it is safe to say that you won by a very close margin! I shall post up the results blog entry promptly... Yeah, I understand about having only one round, that way I could hold more in a month. And I understand as well about you getting burned out, I am kindof the same way. This was, after all, my first try at hosting a contest! I shall take your suggestion to mind for the next duel. ~GBG~
5. Hmmm... that was sudden, to say the least... ~GBG~
6. Well yes, tonight that is. If DV doesn't get his in before Midnight, Roa automatically wins... (she has sent hers in already) ~GBG~
7. Ok, ok, ok... I get it now! ~GBG~
8. Yeah, that is disappointing, but can you tell me where you got that Gali wallpaper? And yesssss, you're a Mac user! ~GBG~
9. Hmmm... perhaps you are right, I shall lower it to three. ~GBG~
10. Ok peoples, due to the fact that our Duelists are tied for the Champion status, I have decided to do a mini tie-breaker challenge. Duelists, your mini challenge is this: You must build a MoC that uses no more than 20 pieces. You can build whatever you like, just don't go over that limit. Pegs/bushings/axles do not count into the number limit. You now have until Sunday evening to send in your MoC, but the sooner the better. The actual voting shall last for one day (Monday). So, get MoCin'! I smell chibiness... Sorry, DV just brought to my attention that the last vote in the third round was invalid, due to it's being submitted too late. I apologize. ~GBG~
11. Well guys, the voting for the MoCist Duels contest is over, and our duelists are tied! How do you suggest I break the tie? Make the voting go on for a day longer? I am open to all suggestions! Oh, and I would like to thank all of you who have voted in the contest, I have gotten alot more participation than I was expecting! ~GBG~
12. Ok.... then again, we're tied once more... ~GBG~
13. Since I haven't voted yet, I think that I shall vote for Roa. While Lewa is my favorite character, I would like to have seen him with a little more green, though he does look like the old Phantoka. I like Roa's Kopaka alot, simply because of the detail of the MoC, and the colors are nice, especially the trans-blue, nice color change. While the upper leg armor could have been better, I think that this is the best re-vamp over all. Soooo.... our duelists are now tied, again. I wonder who shall win? ...never mind... *sigh* ~GBG~
14. Guys, this is your last chance to vote in the last round of the MoCist Duels Contest, held here in Emerald Bricks. The voting is rather close, so we still need some more votes! The voting ends tonight, and I should be able to get the results blog entry up tomorrow morning. New to the contest? Click here. ~GBG~
15. I just wanted to remind you guys to vote in the final round of the MoCist Duels Contest. Roa and DV are tied, and we still need someone to break that tie! The voting shall continue throughout the rest of the day as well as all of tomorrow. The final Duel results shall hopefully be posted up Saturday morning. New to the contest? Click here. ~GBG~
16. Wow! Kex is voting! And Roa and DV are tied to boot! This is going to be close folks... I look forward to seeing the result! ~GBG~
17. Sorry, you can't. That is, you can't until the next duel (I'm not guaranteeing anything though...) and even then, you have to have won 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in a BBCC or won a place in some LEGO Challenge to enter. Please see the main blog entry here. ~GBG~
18. I've updated the blog entry with Roa's new links. ~GBG~

Huzzah!

Ok... well maybe you guys aren't normal. But at least you're back to... what you used to be. That is, we can tell who's who now! ~GBG~
20. Greetings, BZPower fans! As you might guess from the title, I have received the entries for the final round of our MoCist Duels contest! So without further ado, let's begin! To start with, here is the original challenge: --------------------------------------------------- ~ Your MoC must be a re-vamp of one of the Toa Nuva Phantoka (Lewa, Kopaka, or Pohatu) ~ Your MoC may not be a Makuta Phantoka ~ Your MoC must use the original Phantoka mask as the Toa's mask ~ It must be obvious that your MoC is a re-vamp of one of the Toa, but at the same time, it needs to be heavily re-vamped --------------------------------------------------- Like usual, the member who got their MoC in first is presented first. Thus, Roa shall start us off! Duelist Name: Roa McToa (for real this time!) Entry name: Kopaka Nuva A quote from Roa: Entry Pic: Other shots: From the front without the blaster Detail of the torso The duo From the side... From the back It's Solek! Why, Hello Solek! Hop on! I'm ready to fly! Ooph... Have you put on weight since the last time I saw you... like thousands of years ago? Wheee! Um... why aren't we moving? Up close and personal Moving on to DV's entry... Duelist name: Darth Vader Entry name: Lewa Nuva A quote from DV: Entry pic: Another quote: Other shots: Lalala I spy with my little eye... And there ya go! It is now time to begin the voting. Please choose one of the above MoCists that you wish to vote for, and say who you are voting for in a comment in this blog entry. When voting, please keep these things in mind (in this order): - Does the MoC portray the challenge well? - Is the MoC creatively built and original? - Does it look cool/sleek/amazing? The voting time begins now (Tuesday, July 1st) and shall end Friday (July 4th). I shall post up the duel results and present the Duelist Champion with their trophy on Saturday. B) Current scores: Roa: 16 DV: 17 (Updated: 7/4/08, 8:07 PM CST) You guys are now free to vote for the MoCist of your choice! So... go ahead and vote! ~GBG~ New to the BZP MoCist Duels Contest? Check out the main blog entry here.
