  1. IC - Dorcha:After a little waiting Dorcha followed suit, blindfolding and stepping out. It was easier finding your way about with your eyes, but he began making his way towards the outcast towers. With most everyone indoors he made good, uninterrupted time. OOC: Lorax, don't wait on Dorcha to begin the meeting.
  2. OOC: There was a corpse in the room??? IC - The Bard (24601) - (personnel deck): 24601 rolled his eyes at the Toa. He was about to make a dry reply when the Toa began talking. Bard, he thought to himself. Nice name. I think I'll keep it. He didn't pay much attention to the rest of what 686 said, but he did note the last part. "Corners, right," he said blithely. "Perhaps we should get moving and make sure they don't stay waiting for us, hmm? I'm sure a gruff Toa like yourself can keep us safe!" He didn't quite know why he was acting so unlike his usual self, but he had a feeling that acting was part of the set of skills he had been gifted with.
  3. IC - 24601 (personnel deck): 24601 laughed. "I don't think I fit the dancing part, but yes: singing, ballads, that sort of thing. I don't know how that's a useful asset here, of course..." he trailed off, looking around at the ruined surroundings. "No memory, trapped on a ship, and there's probably all sorts of disagreeable ship-mates lurking around. I could write a whole ballad about this."

    Trapped...

In a Map! Seriously guys, that RG is epic and should have won a long time ago. I heartily recommend playing it.
  5. IC - Oryan - Marketplace (building on the east edge): Oryan closed the door behind Nahri as she stumbled in. It was bearable in hear, although the blinding light poured in the windows. "The Carver. God to some, master to others, and Karzahni to still more," Oryan answered her as he went from room to room, closing thick shutters over each: almost all the houses in the city were built to survive the Glare. "He's the one who made this city and the land around it. He's also the reason you're here." With the light now bearable he took a quick stock of his surroundings: a comfortable looking living room, deserted. He hoped the owner wasn't home. But still, breaking into a house was a common thing when the Glare hit and unless there was damage to the owner's life or property it was never reported to the Law. Besides, he was the Law.
  6. IC - 24601 (personnel deck): "A singer, musician, and story-teller, I'd guess I was placed here to entertain!" 24601 warbled after thinking for a moment. "Now that we are acquainted I surely must ask, how on earth are you a ship's system?"
  7. WHY HAVE YOU DESERTED THE AMBAGE WE MISS YOU AND KATIE

  8. OOC: Actually I was referencing the end of Who Am I. because really, the image of a Skakdi belting that out at full volume in a spaceship is too good to waste. IC - 24601 (personnel deck): The Skakdi nodded. "What is this place?" he asked, again speaking. Content they were friendly, he sheathed both blades.
  9. IC - 24601 (personnel deck): "Two four six oh one!" the Skakdi sang. he shook his head ruefully: he hadn't even intended the strident phrase he had sung... It had just come out that way. "And you are?" he asked, forcing himself to actually speak.
  10. You lie! Old Grey was Divine!
  11. IC - Oryan: "I'm not here to hurt you," the Vortixx said gently, eyes shut. "You can send me to kingdom come if you feel like it, I suppose, but it's a strange city and most people around here are... A lot less friendly. But that's not very important: thanks to you and the Carver there's going to be another fifteen minutes of these flashes." He reached out, grabbing the Toa's hand. "Come on, there was a building precisely ten feet to my right with an unlocked door that we can shelter in. Unless," he added a little sarcastically, "You like the blinding light better." IC - Dorcha: The small being nodded his thanks. "Unusually persistent Enforcer this time, thanks for downing him." "A meeting, yes? You people finally decided to stop acting like rabble? Good. I'm in."
  12. IC - 24601 (personnel deck): There were others around, 24601 could hear. he broke into a hum as he jogged towards them. It was weird moving again after all that time--he couldn't even remember how long that time had been, dangit!--asleep. His violin was slung over his shoulder, and he drew a dirk, just in case. There were a few of them: a dark Toa and a Iron Matoran. "Hello!" he sang cautiously, slowing to a walk as he approached. OOC: that's you guys, 686 and 7725.
  13. ID Tag: 24601Gender & Species: Male Skakdi of Sonics.Appearance: A tall Skakdi, slim in his suit and with an almost spikeless spine. His armor under the suit is a dull white and grey. His face, grinning though it be, is a tad fairer than the average Skakdi.Power Suit: His suit is a dull white edged with black. It is fairly light, allowing him a great amount of free movement. The only equipment it possessed are two dirks and a violin. The suit's information faculties extend only to his knowledge of songs and the violin, as well as some skill with his weapons. Abilities: 24601 uses his violin to channel his sonic abilities, which amount only to the ability to generate any volume of sound he chooses: this can be anything from a relaxing melody to a power scream. He is somewhat adept at the twin dirks he carries, but that is where his physical abilities end.Personality: Have you ever met a singing Skakdi? If so, it was probably 24601. The extraordinarily odd being's greatest pastime is to sing. Note, his favorite uncontrollable pastime is to sing. Dreamy and shy, he appears completely lost to most people.
  14. I totally didn't forget to do this, and I totally haven't forgotten to do the same in countless other RPGs, even my own. Hmm, I'm tempted to make another character. The question is: Enforcer or Worshiper?
  15. IC - Oryan - The Market: The Vortixx observed the newcomer casually from the distance of twenty feet from where he was stationed, leaning against a wall. A Toa of Plantlife, dazed and lost. He'd seen it before. She'd managed to not get mugged five seconds in, which was more than what others could boast of. Oh well, he laughed to himself, I guess that just means I don't get to shoot said mugger. He walked slowly up to the toa, crossbow slung onto his back. He was about to address her when she slumped against the building. He paused for a moment, undecided as to what he should do. He was used to knocking people out, not bringing them back to consciousness. Awkwardly he stood there, waiting for her to make the next move.
  16. IC - 24601 (personnel deck): It was strange to wake up humming. But that was how 24601 came back into the world. His eyes opened with a start, and his hum turned into a scream. Aided weakly by his sonic power it shattered the glass, sending him rolling onto the floor. Slowly the Skakdi got to his feet, looking about at the room he was in. "Where am I?" he sang under his breath--singing seemed to be his natural way of talking, it seemed. He looked down, taking in his appearance. The violin felt like an old friend and he clasped it fondly. "What sort of place is this?" he asked thin air, for once in a normal voice. OOC: so, what's going on in the wake up area or did everyone flee it already?

And no, he is not based on Jean Valjean. I just couldn't resist using that number.
  18. Compared to a Toa? Not even close. She can make people into hippies, shoot them with shadow, disrupt their powers by hitting them with her sword or a shadow bolt fired from it if she takes the time to focus on charging it (which leaves her vulnerable), and she has a good deal of physical strength which doesn't mean too much against people with other powers. For a Steltian she might be strong, but considering the line of work, it's feasible. Still, it's up to the GM's ruling. -Toa Levacius Zehvor Hey, if my Vortixx could only have two types of bolts, I somehow have the feeling this might not fly. Also, why is it that all the Disruptors causing trouble have masks of intangibility? My poor Enforcer would be toast if he tried engaging them.
  19. OOC: Simple, he could tell that the guy leaped towards him. Note, I mentioned that he was at the center of the roof, not the edge... IC - Dorcha: Dorcha timed his block perfectly: the blade slammed into his shield and was thrown back with the same force it had come, causing the Enforcer to stumble back slightly. Before the Enforcer could press another attack Dorcha had moved, taking a leaping jump off the roof. He landed hard on the shed, tumbling down into the alley he had come from. Rolling to his feet he began sprinting: if he could put enough distance between himself and the Enforcer, the soon-coming light might pave his way for an escape.
  20. IC - Dorcha - : His sonar gave him a little time to react, but not much. He rolled out of the way, putting the chimney between him and his foe. Then he continued his Avsa drain, shield ready in one hand, military hammer in the other.
  21. So guys, what disrupting is going on right now that Oryan can crush?
  22. The name of a previous character with a similar appearance. Edited.
  23. Name: Oryan.Gender: Male.Species: Vortixx.Affiliation: City law Enforcers.Trapped: Roughly 100 years.Weapons/Tools: o - Energy Crossbow: A small compact crossbow, on the first look. It lack a string, and where the bolt is usually placed is a canister. Said canister contains about 60 bolts. The weapon generates a thin stream of energy when fired in place of the string: the firing rate is about about 1-2 bolts per second. Short blades are set into the head of the weapon, making it a melee weapon in a pinch. o - Shield Hat: A wide brimmed helmet (for a simple reference, Embo from the Clone Wars) that doubles as a shield in a pinch: made of protosteel it is able to deflect even bullets if Oryan gets his head down in time. If needed it can serve as a throwing disk. o - Twin Falchions: Oryan carries two backmounted Falchions for melee combat (specifically, think Orcrist as portrayed in the Hobbit movie). o - Ammo: These consist of: -Ammo Belt: slung over one shoulder and containing the following. -Stun Bolts: Oryan's usual weaponry, these are not lethal (except perhaps to an unusually weak Matoran) but release a stun charge enough to make a Krekka stop for a bit, and definitely enough to take a Toa out of the fight. -Explosive Bolts: In a canister that contains only about twelve shots, these mini rockets are Oryan's go to weapon when he needs to break through a door or other touch obstacle. Powers: None.Appearance: Oryan is, to put it simply, bizarre. Hardly anyone would ever think of him as a Vortixx. Standing a few heads taller then a Toa, Oryan is far less mechanical then any other member of his species - an estimated 40-50% mechanical. His face is almost humanoid, with bright yellow eyes shining out from his deep green skin. He wears a long coat that reaches almost to his ankles. His mechanical parts are all armored, and he wears a pauldron over his coat, covering his neck and shoulders, as well as the top of his body. He wears a leather belt slung over his right shoulder, and crossing his chest to end at the left side of his waist. He has several canisters of bolts clipped on. Two sheaths house twin falchions. To top this all off, he wears what is probably his best form of defense, his hat. More correctly, his helmet. For a better description of Moka's pauldron, face, coat, build and hat, see here.Bio: Oryan was a male Vortixx on Xia. It wasn't the nicest position, and he loathed it. After almost a hundred years of servitude as a dock worker he robbed a nearby forge and fled on a ship. That was the beginning of his career. Over the next thousand years he became a highly successful bounty hunter. He never passed up chances of jobs on Xia, nor did he have any mercy, or scruples about robbing whatever he could. It was on one of these missions that he was spotted by the Carver and Trapped. Once he figured pout what had happened he shrugged, decided that the Map was a nicer place than the Matoran universe and resumed his career. His exploits attracted the notice of the Law, and he was hunted down, captured and given the option of either joining them or dying. He chose to join them. When the Disruptors began gaining strength, he almost rejoiced. He had begun to love the Map as his home, and besides, it gave him a chance to fight again. I hope he doesn't have too many weapons. but since he has no powers I think it balances out nicely.
