  1. I like the body and legs. I also like the bricks on the torso, though it would look better if you posed it right side up.
Haha yeah. I was gonna make a branch for him to stand on to make it look more like he was actually hanging upside down, bunt I got lazy. :U Now it just looks silly
By the way, what's the point of the red, translucent, triangular piece on the end of the wings for?
I would guess those are the sonic cannonsWell ,Chols, you've done it. You've made a Manbat Lego design I really love, and that looks like it could actually be feasible enough to have as a middling price-point set.
That is correct, yes.and thank you. :3 I tried making look like a real set to the best of my ability, though had to take some liberties. (Why can't we have a brown hero, Lego? D: )
NanananananananaBATMAN.But, in all seriousness, you're looking good. The pieces blend well together, and I like the head. Although, the transparent orange cannons seem a little out of place.
What do you think is out of place, exactly? The weapons themselves or the color? There are two purposes for the cannons. One, he needed some kind of weapon that would work in flight. Two, they hold the wings on. I feel they're a bit awkward, but I couldn't really think of a better place. :
  2. Bruce Pyre is a 3.0 model Hero designed to have the appearance and abilities of a bat. His wings allow him to silently glide while his sonar detectors pick up enemy locations. His wing-mounted cannons emit sonic blasts. Despite his abilities, he is a very poor flying and often tears his wings, and his sonic cannons really hurt his ears too (who designed these things!?).----This moc was actually inspired by a dream. I had dreamed of an exclusive Hero Factory set featuring a bat-like hero. I was kinda bummed when I realized it was just a dream, so I was like hey, I'm gonna moc that. And then this happened. It's nothing special, just a quick moc to get an idea out of my head.Coca Cola and Cookies appreciated.

  3. If you look closely, you can tell that the collectible minifigures are made with different manufacturing machines (look under the arms, you'll notice small grooves not present on minifigures in sets). From my understanding, these pieces are made with newer machines that use a different method to tell which side is the front. this means they don't need to use a patch of ink on the stud to identify it. My guess is that they have different, newer machines for minifigure-only products (Minifigures and Vintage Minifigures series) since they are packaged differently from regular sets.Of course all these differences are not visible on a fully assembled figure, so it's not a big deal.

  4. Oh man, this is impressive. It's great to see someone using Hero Factory parts for something other than heromods.Overall the model looks very well designed. There are a few areas I feel could use improvement, though. I like the jaw, but it's very square, especially at the tip. While I can't tell exactly how it's structured, I believe you can replace the tiled area with 1 x 1 slopes for a better look. Also, there small gray joints make the articulation look kind of awkward. Though I assume that you're using them as a replacement for the friction sockets, which are unavailable in LDD, so that's forgivable. I recommend either removing the joints on the ankles or moving them to the top of the lower leg's joints. The way they are now, they make the ankles look much too tall, especially with the semi-digitigrade legs in the back.Overall I really like this model, and am supporting the cuusoo project too. :D

  5. Outler: It's an anthro, not a furry. Right fandom, wrong term.

Anthro and furry can be correctly used interchangeably, but it's not really proper to use the term furry if it's unrelated to the fanbase (you wouldn't call everything MLP-related "brony" would you?).Also am I the only one who thinks Toads' mushroom heads are polka-dot turbans?
  6. I meant to speculate earlier on how they would do this, but from the sounds of it, my speculation was confirmed as to how.Smartglass is a platform. Essentially Microsoft writes and app that works on these different devices, then developers that want to leverage smart class only have to code for the smartglass platform (probably using HTML5/Javascript much like Windows 8 Metro apps). It eliminates issues with compiling for specific hardware and operating systems. Microsoft handles that for you as well as providing you the hooks to easily communicate with the Xbox.

Of course. That's the ideal way to execute the new platform. My concerns have less to do with what Microsoft provides and more with the hardware it runs on. Especially in the case of Android, where mobile devices and tablets using the operating system have a history of poor upgrade and app availability across different devices. This could be a stumbling block for Microsoft's new software if it can't work on a number of devices that people already own. I'm also curious as to how the game interfaces will compensate for each device having a different screen resolution and aspect ratio. There is no set standard for these attributes, so Microsoft will have to make a system that remains compatible on a variety of devices (This is the major advantage to Nintendo and Sony's approaches; they only use 1st party hardware, thus standardizing these attributes). I'm positive they'll have a way to compensate, but we'll have to see.
  7. My gosh, that LEGO City game looks very remarkable. I might have reason to start arguing for a WiiU in the house...

Verrrry much agreed.Honestly it's the only Wii U title I definitely want at the moment.Though it's not actually exclusive, as it is also on 3DS, though I don't know what difference exists between the two versions.
  8. Works for me! Thanks. What I think was best about this E3 wasn't any particular conference, but the concept of tablet controls in general. Each console manufacturer has developed a new approach to this idea: Wii U has a dedicated tablet controller, Microsoft employs compatibility with pre-existing devices, and Sony uses 1 party interactivity with the PSV. Each of these are GREAT approaches, but honestly there's no way to tell what works best until they hit the market.I think I like Microsoft's SmartGlass idea best in concept, but whether it will actually work in execution is a concern. We already know that the large variety of tablet computers have a lot of differences in hardware and software, so I am skeptical as to whether this approach will be fully compatible with enough devices to make it worthwhile. Wii U's approach is my close second favorite, since dedicating the tablet interface to the system itself should help encourage development for this new control style significantly. Plus it's technically more affordable all things considered. Sony's approach is excellent too, but unless you plan on owning a PS3 and a PSV, there's not much to be desired about it.

  9. Siiiiiiigh.Nintendo did not deliver either. :|I still think the Wii U looks like a great system, but I'm not entirely convinced on the content shown.Except LEGO City Undercover. That looks AWESOME.Though Nintendo still has other conferences coming up so hopefully they'll pull out something nice later. Also Reggie actually saying "My body id read" was hilarious.

  10. AHAHAHATHE MUSIC FOR THE SONY ALL-STARS INTRO WAS GENESISAWESOMEWasn't super impressed by the whole conference though. Beyond looks cool but no word on what the game is actually like. All-Stars is definitely a competent party fighter, that's good. Ship combat in AC3 was niiiice. Didn't really care for anything else. And my gosh that Book of Spells demo went on forever. x_x

  11. So Microsoft's conference is over. It was pretty good.I am still not captivated by any of the games. None of the exclusives (except maybe Forza) interested me, and most of the better ones were still multiplatform. The Smart Glass feature is VERY interesting though. Integration between Xbox, tablets, smartphones and PCs is an excellent idea. My only qualm is that they seems to have no support for Windows 7. :<Also Yami is in Halo 4. I approve. :U

  12. Heck yeah I'm excited. Though honestly I don't know if I'm looking forward to any particular company's conference, largely because I know can't afford any consoles current or upcoming, and my Wii and DS are pretty much obsolete now. :P Still, it will be exciting as always. Also I'm trying not to get my hopes up but if last year's Zelda demo doesn't turn out to be Twilight Princess 2 I will be disappointed. You heard me, Nintendo. Make it happen. >:cValve isn't going to announce anything, are they? I've heard mixed rumors about them. Not like I'm expecting HL3 or anything like that. That's just impossible. :U
