I just realized I had a gift copy of Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth sitting around in my Steam inventory, probably from the holiday giveaway. I have no idea what this game is, but if anyone's interested, I'll be happy to pass it onto someone else.
I don't mind giving it away for free, but if anyone is interested in a trade, that's cool too.
(Just note that the game is rated M with "Blood and Gore" and "Intense Violence" descriptors, so I will not give it to anyone under 17. That's just a personal policy of mine.)
And they moved the Blogs button, ever so slightly that I thought it was missing.
I nearly had a heart attack. o_o
I see some new features in the blogs already. Nice to see it now has the same tag interface as the forums. That's quite handy. Also what's this entry image thing? Does it work?
But Angio is not here at the moment. In fact, he was never here. He doesn't exist. Even if he did, I am sure he doesn't do business with "First Financial Bank", because that doesn't exist either.
17" is larger than I expected, though it's actually pretty comfortable on my lap.
Now to re-install everything I use x_x Hopign to run a few game tests later, just to make sure the system runs as intended (those dang switchable graphics).
Steam downloads at 2.6 MBs on average. Niiiice. Source games working without any modifications. I did face one crash in Portal 2, but it doesn't seem to be anything game-breaking. Mass Effect 1 now works, though I had to force it to run in XP mode (understandable, it's an older game). AMD Radeon's switchable graphics are actually pretty easy to handle, though they make benchmarking a little cumbersome. Gets a little hot when running games, but seems well-ventilated enough to prevent overheating. Revived Mousey from the dead. Hooray! Speakers suck (like all laptops).
Maybe nothing special but this is a HUGE IMPROVEMENT for me.
I had a fun discussion about this with the BS01 staff last night. I figured it would be fun to open discussion to BZPower too.
Basically, what kind of animal do you/would you associate with your own personality and why? I don't mean anything serious like identifying yourself as another species, but rather just a simple comparison between yourself and a type of animal. Also, no need to over-think the comparison, as any such comparison is a generalization anyhow.
Obviously I associate myself with wolves, and even go so far as to identify myself as one from time to time. I tend to show respect to worthy authority, and my own life is rather similar to the concept of a beta wolf (an adult wolf who sticks with its pack, biding its time until its ready to live on its own). The comparison pretty much stops there though.
I've always been hard on this album. I could go on and on explaining why, but I am sure a few Pink Floyd fans would put me up against the wall (SORRY) for that.
Though recently I managed to obtain the album (with help from a very good friend), and I'd say I'm beginning to soften up on it a bit. I still prefer other 70's Floyd albums to The Wall, but I've definitely begun to take a liking to it.
