  1. The book was better, mostly in that there was more to it, but also you saw more of John's thoughts and opinions via narration. But the movie was still pretty good.
  2. Another Higurashi fan! =O
  3. So anyways, summer's coming up. With summer comes a significant amount of free time. I already have some ideas for filling that free time, however, I know that at least part of it will be spent watching things on a screen. So I'm accepting suggestions for my list of anime to watch over the summer. List as of this writing: Gundam WingFoolie Coolie Already watched: Higurashi no Naku Koro niElfen LiedThe Melancholy of Haruhi SuzumiyaGundam SeedGundam Seed DestinyGundam 00 I'm also looking for suggestions for reading material. =D

    Job Idea

Sounds a bit like what my dad does in his spare time. He buys old Honda motorcycles and parts for cheap, repairs them, and sells 'em for a profit. He's made a decent bit for the amount of time spent on the stuff, so I say it's worth a try.

    Gah!

I hit this same problem a few months ago. I have yet to remedy it.
  11. You know you want the psychedelic flowers.
  12. It's true! I can't believe it, either! But the evidence is there... Wealthy Private Organization: In 00, it's Celestial Being. In Thunderbirds, it's International Rescue Powerful machines utilizing secret technology: 00=Gundams, Thunderbirds=the Thunderbirds Heiress lady with a manservant who serves in a support manner: 00, it's Wang Liu Mei and Hong Long, Thunderbirds, it's Lady Penelope and Parker. Organization attempts to better the world in a vigilante manner: Celestial Being is a tad more forceful than International Rescue, but IR still took out its number of bad guys. Value of secrecy: Both organizations value secrecy, however, IR destroys any images of the Thunderbirds or pilots, whereas Celestial Being pilots just remain masked. Mission planning from supergeniuses: Thunderbirds' head brain is Brains. (Actual name of the character) In 00 it's Sumeragi. Private Island: Both organizations of both series use a private island as a base. Both also have outposts in space.

Hahahahaha, welcome to MY WORLD, MX. 8D
  15. Meh, the day Keith Olbermann doesn't annoy me somehow is the day that *insert highly improbable event here*
  16. One of the best lines from Thunderbirds. No, not the crummy movie from a few years back. I'm talking 'bout the old-school marionette TV series. Anyways, MechPunk has just been launched. If you are a fan of RPGs, mecha, sci-fi, city-states, and/or stories that present multiple points of view, I suggest you check it out. [/shamelessplug]
  17. Rather than a real-life FPS that's safe, we need giant robot laser tag, so we can pretend that we're in Gundams, just without the deadly explosions. Much more awesome.
  18. Good, glad you had fun. Now go approve MechPunk already, minion.

  20. I must watch it simply for the stupidity factor.
