Hi I'm pretty okay at building but I have a limited selection of stuff to build with.

Constraction sets I have at my disposal: Kylo Ren, K-2SO x2, Praetorian Guard x2, Rey 2.0, Jyn Erso, Death Trooper, Lava Beast, Ketar Creature of Stone, Skull Basher.  For loose parts I have some weapon and armor pieces from a bricklink order, some extra Praetorian Guard pieces (armor and blades) from the draft, and a hodgepodge of SYSTEM pieces.

That is a frankly absurd amount of greebling.

OK who wants to be my build buddy.

e: Just to be clear, due to the difficulty of actually recording the game, this won't be running as a full series.  Sorry for any disappointment, I know a lot of you were probably looking forward to a lot more of this.

Tried sending the form three times, all three times got a "Please go back and check the captcha was entered correctly." error message.  Not sure what that means with regards to whether or not it actually went through.  If it didn't, is there some way around it?  And if it did then sorry for submitting the same thing over and over. :T

Anyone else annoyed that among all the miniature X-Wing models we've gotten, not a single one has used the minifigure ski pole piece as the wing cannons even though they're literally perfect for it?
 
And as a fun bonus this version doesn't have wings' pivot points in line with the engines, so it's more accurate in that regard than all the others too!

Not sure how much they're worth but I'm hoping for a reasonable price.

Also, in that additional room you stumbled into earlier, what you're supposed to do with those red boxes is carry them to the perched owl, who will then fly away with it and you will then be able to purchase a special ability associated with that box.

Wow that's not even remotely intuitive.

Interestingly, the model on display differed quite a bit from the one in the official images. Unfortunately, Lego designer Mark Stafford explained on Reddit that the display model was an earlier prototype from when Lego was aiming for a $120 price point instead of a $100 price point, suggesting that the official pics are probably more accurate. That means a less substantial base (without the added landscaping or gear functions of the display model) and probably none of those very interesting little arch pieces from the railing of the display model, either.

This makes me feel more confident in my conspiracy theory that the Susan Bones minifig was originally meant to be Ginny but then they scaled back the Chamber of Secrets stuff so they were like "uhhhhhh she's this other red-haired character now".

Episode 25 is here, and we're on to the second task:

I feel like Maul could've used an extra unit of space between his hands and the blades.  Maybe one of these on each side, though that might make the handle seem a bit too long idk.

As far as gameplay it's fairly flat, it's a very pared-down shooter where you don't need to worry about ammo or even reloading.  You're unlikely to ever actually die, given how forgiving it is with dropping health and since you'd have to lose all six masks.  It is fun to explore the areas to find all the little hidden pockets, though even then the mini-map is going to show you most of those anyway.

So overall not terribly engaging but still a fun romp though the various areas full of BIONICLE goodness.

By the way, once you've finished with Lego Harry Potter Years 1-4, are you then going to immediately move on to Lego Harry Potter Years 5-7?

Dunno!  Maybe.  I'll see when I get there.

Episode 23 is up.  No you're several hours late posting about it.

Minor correction that I didn't actually get around to explaining in the episode: this wasn't the first task, this was Hagrid cheating and showing Harry what the first task will be.  Probably seemed more like an actual task because, well, gameplay.  In the book/film they just go to the dragon pens and Harry's like "yep those certainly are dragons".
