  1. Hero Factory had a year or two of planning before it was launched, like every other theme.  In order to have a viable BIONICLE replacement LEGO would pretty much have had to start working on it immediately after launching BIONICLE.  Given the abrupt end, it also seems like it would be a bad move to try to build up another original franchise to replace one that had decent name recognition behind it.  Better to leverage a high-power brand like Star Wars for the moment and see if things will rebound.  Give it a year or two.

Plus if there was a new theme screaming down the pike we'd have seen some teasers and hype announcements already.  Toy Fair isn't generally the place for major theme reveals.

  2. Well would you look at that it's a new game.

I was sort of getting my bearings in this one.  It might take a bit for me to figure out what exactly is vital to passing the level and what's just extra filler stuff.  Hopefully I can cut down on the aimless wandering in the next episode.

  3.

Some random LMB user posted a hoax with made-up evidence and it was rightly deleted.  There's no reason to believe.

Well, I don't know how he did that strange computer thing that let him see some codes that made him come up with the idea, but it is understandable that it may not prove that the idea exists.

Unless someone has managed to actually find the stuff on the page source that's claimed to be there, then the answer is probably "lie about it".  If someone was clever enough to dig through website source code and find hidden messages, then they should at least know enough to say where they found them.  When you find something you show it and say where you found it, not hide behind some "zoom in enhance" talk about how you edited out part of an image (just an image, no details) and found a Disney logo.  That's the only supposed evidence ever presented and to my knowledge it's never been shown or specified past that.  I could make the same claim about twenty other corporations buying the rights to the BIONICLE brand if I wanted to, and I could probably do a better job at making it seem real that this person did.

This is why it's important to think critically about something before sharing it.  If there's no evidence for something, or some random person is claiming to have evidence that they haven't presented and that nobody else has been able to find, then you shouldn't believe them.

  4. I'm not sure why your version of the demo leaves out the ones with Piraka Vezok

It had it, I just chose to leave it out because I always start episodes with the hero view (but there's no Matoran Enclave this time) and the cutscene was messed up because of the animation/audio sync anyway.

  5. The forum search function isn't good for finding old topics, since it only searches topics and posts that were made within the past year. For older topics I'd suggest using Google and searching for "bzpower [name of topic]" instead.

  6. They may have been referring to one of two things.

    1. They may have meant that the Buy/Sell/Trade forum will sometimes have members selling or trading for prototype pieces.  These are member-to-member transactions that are done through the forums rather than down by BZPower itself.

    2. Around 2009-2010, BZPower was given a decently large quantity of prototype parts by LEGO.  These were test molds that weren't originally intended for public release, and many of them were co-injected two-color versions of previously single-color pieces.  They were initially given away as various contest prizes, to members who attended LEGO conventions where BZPower had a presence, and to members who mailed their MOCs in to be included in convention displays.  Unfortunately I don't think there are any of those left to be given away, since it's been many years and many members have earned them.  One of the conditions of BZPower giving them out as prizes, though, was that those who received them were not to resell them, but I don't know if that rule has been relaxed since they've run out.  Pretty sure you're allowed to trade with or for them, though, but that goes back to #1 above.  Here's photos of them; I think there were multiples of some.

  7. Final level!

That'll do it for the game, but I have one more related episode planned for later this month.  After that, I'm not sure if I'll continue the series or not.  I don't have LEGO Dimensions, nor do I have a platform to play it on, so that's not an option.  I do have the LEGO Harry Potter games, but I'll have to see how that would work out to do so.  Still hoping to come across my copy of LEGO Loco one of these days, though.

  8. Here's LEGO's post about it and here's what they say:

We are so close to revealing an awesome new play experience that boosts your child’s creativity! Watch out for more coming soon...

I can't see any way someone could infer that it's a new constraction theme.

And I extra can't see how anyone could think it's another BIONICLE line, given that G2 just ended this year.

Seriously, it's a vertical line, it says nothing on its own; the only thing that gives any kind of hint is the statement, which implies that it's some form of new media or interactive thing rather than a new theme.

  9. Is this some sort of obscure in-joke I haven't heard of, or...? I mean, the Bohrok are fine, but they're flawed. Limited poseability and articulation are their main drawbacks.

It was a bit of a joke, but the Bohrok are my favorite sets.  Honestly I don't think they could've been improved by adding articulation, since their limbs both added to their stocky look and let them roll into a ball, and they could pose fine.  The quality of a set isn't just based on how much articulation it has.

As far as improved articulation for humanoid sets, though, the first link Katanga posted would be something like my choice for hand design.  It accepts posable fingers and can still be used to hold tools and weapons.  Of course, it would depend on the theme of the set overall.
