Remember those couple of times when someone's browser cache would mess up and the images on the page would be switched around so instead of the site banner they'd see a repeating image of like the guy from Green Day or something? Those were fun threads.
Also, once I changed my name from Bfahome to Bfahome just to see if I could.
I didn't intend on ever changing it to anything but "Bfahome" but then one day I woke up and I was Test Subject Barbie. So that broke my streak and opened me up to participating in later name changes, where I got to indulge my enjoyment of Silverwing a little bit.
Also I guess I have one of the biggest blogs on the site?? Comes from my early days of "I'm gonna post an entry every day!" silliness. First blog to 10k comments too, also probably related to previous.
Hey remember majhost? Remember when it used to just be maj? And then they changed the site name and it broke everyone's images so the BZP admins were like "okay, here's a new word filter that changes maj dot com to majhost dot com so you can just hit 'edit' and then 'submit' on your posts and stuff and not have to worry about changing all the image urls individually"? And then the people running majhost were just like "ok nah, no site anymore" and everyone's images vanished. That was a fun story arc.
Also the two BrickFairs I attended were pretty neat, meeting people IRL. Was sort of an outsider in some ways because I wasn't privy to all the in-jokes and groupings that formed offsite over time but was still interesting.

These last few days I was thinking it was going to be either this or the mask of ultimate power, given the significance of both of them last year. I'm happy we got this one though.
Who knows, maybe we'll get the the MoUP next year.
The lack of official (available) MoUP piece makes it unlikely, unless LEGO gives us some help. Plus I think its time may have passed by next year. We'll have to see what the future holds.

It's probably because of the standard "white vs. black is light vs. dark" trope. I don't think they ran much of a risk of confusing him with Kopaka, either, because his color scheme was all-white with gold armor rather than white and gray with silver armor, plus the last Kopaka set was two waves before him.

Episode 12 up now, featuring correct title card maybe!
What the game causes in gameplay frustration it makes up for in the opportunity for editing snarkiness.

I think people need to move past the idea that BIONICLE must necessarily continue, that it's somehow always right there below the surface just waiting to be unleashed. It was successful for a while, but there appears to be a trend of constraction losing its popularity. Who knows, we may see it in the future, but it also may be that we've moved past the point where it would have any major cultural interest, like what happened with the monorail sets.

Back in 2001 I didn't end up getting Tahu until after I'd gotten the other 5 Toa. I'd started with Lewa and then went for Gali and Kopaka to make Wairuha, but after that the next few times I looked in some stores their stocks were low and I only found, like, a single Onua or Pohatu. Pretty sure a similar thing happened with Tahnok, because I remember wanting to emulate the scene from the comics where they were climbing up a cliff by melting handholds into it but not having one.
Not particularly "elusive" but at 8 or 9 I wasn't particularly able or versed in the ways of finding products. Nowadays the aftermarket has made it fairly easy to find things.
I did end up getting a foam Onua claw from BrickLink once though, and I don't remember seeing anything else about it elsewhere.

Oh, by the way, I noticed that the start of the latest video is mislabeled as "episode 9" when it should be "episode 11", so you might want to fix that, if possible.
Ugh the first thing I did was change it but I guess it reverted when iMovie crashed. laaaaaame

Episode 11 is here, and we got:
unintentional foreshadowing
let's play blindness
hair
snek talk
duels
labeled brooms

Darn, I was a month too early on this.
(unless the fact that it's only 99% done here somehow passes as "never having been seen before on BZPower", which I highly doubt)- 1

So what's the piece holding the gold and yellow pieces? New?
Yup, new. You can also see it on the bridge holding the life ring pieces on.
Ah yes, I see those now. Neat that LEGO is finally catching up to Mega Bloks when it comes to having a piece like that.

Episode 10 here we go.
Had some lags and desyncs on this one but tried to fix what I could.

I wouldn't mind these threads quite as much if they were more direct instead of being about seeing a post of a screenshot of an email a few days ago or whatever. Share the actual image or link to the place you saw it instead of telling people to go looking for a "recent" post in a closed Facebook group.

Google has worked well for me in the past, given a decently specific search term.

Ah, yes, those annoying things, I certainly remember that from the second movie. At least they give you the ability to shatter glass in this game. (Apparently, a lot of Lego games have, among other abilities, using sonic powers to shatter glass.)
It seems there's quite a lot of other things to do that doesn't necessarily involve following the trail to continue the story, so I guess that explains why this week's episode was so long. Just a lot of wandering around with no level content this time, interestingly at the same point as you were going through Year 1. I wonder if this trend will continue.
I actually recorded this and the next episode in one go because these early bits didn't seem to have any definitive conclusion and I ended up with 50+ minutes of gameplay. So I went back and chose a decent spot to split it so I didn't have a huge marathon episode.

it's time for episode nyan ∑:3
Featuring some real annoying sounds, not my fault game's fault.

Nexo Knights was released in 2016, G2's second year.
I also doubt it would've had much effect on BIONICLE's sales, if any. If Nexo Knights had a constraction element then maybe, but they're different styles of product.

Historically, ditching a proven, established system and going all-in on a new one that's only marginally compatible has not worked out well for LEGO.

The Legend of Korra should've had an overall plot arc rather than relying on four mostly-separate arcs.

Episode 8 is out now go go go (but not to Hogwarts because Dobby says it's dangerous):
-
BIONICLE ended because of the things that I, personally, did not like about it.

Bricklink parts you need for the combo model.
Use your spare parts to get you started then slowly bricklink what you need.
Buying all the separate pieces in the sets would probably be more expensive than just buying the sets as a whole. Especially if you buy from multiple people, because then you'd have to pay a separate shipping cost for each order.
