Interesting discussion here... I'd like to bring out a point here. Lyg, you said: And at first that makes sense, but, if you think about it, it really doesn't. So.. one of my little brothers (the youngest of the three, infact) is in the hospital. No, no, it's nothing incredibly serious... he just had his appendix taken out. (Yes, an appendectomy for you people who plan on going to Med. School =P ). The pain started Friday and we took him in at 3 AM Saturday night/Sunday Morning. My Mom and I went to the hospital, as my dad had to preach Sunday morning... Anyway, my little Bro was a trooper. They couldn't get the IV in... and they tried about 6 times.. Finally they were able to get it, but it wasn't fun to watch--much less feel I'm sure. Surgery was at 9AM Sunday and that went well. The surgeon said it was a little more complicated because everything was really swollen and his appendix was tucked behind other organs and stuff, so yeah, again not fun. Now, I said this wasn't too serious.. but that's because I know what it's like. I had my appendix taken out about 1 and 1/2 years ago, so I know how it is... If all goes well (and it's looking like it is) He should be out tomorrow night. In the mean time he's been collecting tons of gifts... it's incredible--even the nurses have bought him stuff. He's gotten LEGO sets, Nerf Guns (yes, plural), Hotwheels cars, Balloons, and candy (that he can't even eat yet!). On top of that he gets to watch TV all day. Right now He's so spoiled. When I had my appendix taken out I only got a few cards and one balloon... but that's okay. . . I'm not jealous... much... //.Tek

Species Type: "Whatever," again. =P Bio: A lone Guardian guarding a very important secret/treasure. He's noble and moral, but works alone. He's suspicious and only trusts himself... You can make him either a captive like you described, Bones (in that case he is trying to escape to get back and guard his treasure/secret/whatever), or you can have him as some character your protagonist(s) run into. (you know, for some reason they need what this guy is protecting and have to challenge him for it or something. Okay so I've been gone.... for a few Months.. . . .I know. . . However... I'm back! Awesome contest here Bones. I'm gonna enter as soon as I take some pictures. I've been saving a MOC for a while and it happens to be blue... Just about entirely blue... Color based MOCs are very fun to do... And blue has quite a few odd shades that I've been collecting and saving for such a time as this >=P Yup, expect my entry soon. //.Tek

...I know This should be Monday Memo #12 but Life got in the way... Basically I've been doing a bunch of school. Yeah, then there was Thanksgiving (Hope you had a happy one, by the way). And That's pretty much been it. Yeah, alot of school... Anyway, if you all are wondering what '08 sets I have I have all Toa, Matoran, and Makuta. I have Vultraz and I have Mazaka, and I just bought the Rokoh off the LEGO Shop at home (along with the Space Skulls and Star Justice sets =P ). And yeah That's about it. I just had a very pleasant chat with James Wadsworth of LAML Radio. We talked for like 1/2 an hour. No I'm not on the show or anything (yet =P) but we did talk about podcasting and stuff. That's all I'm gonna say Oh and Yeah, I'M NOT DEAD! Updates on life sometime when I feel like it =P //.Tek

Yeah, I like the landscape thing. Maybe it could be more specific such as it has to be a Bionicle specific landscape.. Either that or we could do a character MOC. With all the recently-mentioned-but-never-built characters in the Bionicle story line we could be given a list to choose from. (a bunch of OoMN MOCs anyone?) Either that or a part minimum and/or maximum restriction... =P

Brothers in arms is such an awesome Serial. I think Greg keeps getting better and better as he writes these. I've always wanted a Matoran based story like this. Some day I think I'll write my own. Matoran Pirates sound like an interesting concept. Anyway, I like the latest chapter of the serial, and I'm wondering how it's going to resolve. //.Tek

Look up the parts list and go buy the parts. Find the instructions and build the set with the parts you bought. Then, when you feel like it take the parts for a MOC... Keep the set in it's Box though. It may be quite valuable once the price of purple goes up in a bit ^^ //.Tek

This is my 100th Blog post. Sure, not as much as many of you, but still more than quite a few other Bloggers. No doubt that in any case this is a milestone. Through out my time Blogging I've done things that typical LEGO blogs do--highlighting MOCs, ranting and raving about new sets (Usually just ranting...). I've done a few Set reviews; I've also posted a few MOCs of my own. Just your basic things like that. All this said, I think I'm going to do more. I think (again We'll see how it goes... I may drop this if I don't have time) that I'm going to try to do a set review every week. Starting with the Toa Mata and working my way up. That's something I've always wanted to do. I do have quite a few BIONICLE sets (see a few posts back). I think it will be quite cool. Anyway, I'll start next Sunday, so look forward to it! //.Tek P.S. Oh, and yes I did get my Castle Advent Calendars. That is an Awesome Set!

Go for the Toa. The Silver Limbs are so Worth it... I got them all, but the Makuta aren't anything really special (with the huge exception of Krika, of course =P ... and the few new/newly colored parts)
