  1. IC: (Cadias) "When I look directly at it, yes. I suppose I'm better adjusted for it, though, my element of Plasma giving off light like it does." He looked at Navayak, frowning slightly. "Why?" IC: (Aurix) "We walk, then. Or maybe get a boat." Aurix turned around, looking at Cadias. Hmmmm.... Genius? Maybe. His ability to tell you exactly what obsidian is was certainly impressive. OOC: I'd be somewhat surprized if most of the topic hasn't figured out what we're talking about yet. http://www.bzpower.com/board/public/style_emoticons/default/cool.png

  2. IC: (Aurix) Aurix was pondering where he had heard obsidian before. He should know this... IC: (Cadias) Cadias decided to help them out. Crazy #2 had shut up, and he liked Navayak. "Obsidian is, I believe, quickly cooled volcanic glass. Generally formed where lava flows meet glaciers. However, as I do not look forward to trekking around Ko-Wahi, I suggest that we go to Ta-Koro and see if we can purchase any there." Cadias decided not to tell them that he had come across that bit of knowledge by overhearing two Ga-Matoran discussing which would work better as the blade for a filleting knife. OOC: I know where you're going, Xaeraz. TDC sent me a PM about it. I approve. http://www.bzpower.com/board/public/style_emoticons/default/cool.png

  3. IC: (Aurix) Aurix thought it over for a moment. "Minion... confidant.....other things.....taught about the Voices.." He frowned for a moment, then beamed at Navayak. "I'll do it! Here, take this as a symbol of my gratitude!" Aurix hastily took off his necklace, took a symbol off of it, and presented it to Navayak. "The Voices inspired me to make it!" he stated, rather proudly.

  4. OOC: @ Ghosthands: Um, I'm not the guy controlling Gunner. If you do need more details from Tellus, then my bad. I thought you'd already dismissed him. IC: (Aurix) "My name is Aurix. Er, what's a Deacon?" Aurix, too, was excited. Finally, someone who could hear the Voices! And he even knew that they were gods!

  5. IC: (Cadias) Cadias turned around and buried his face in his hands again, trying hard not to scream or cry. He wasn't sure which would occur should he let loose, but he had a feeling that a certain Matoran might get hurt if he did. The worst part was that now Crazy #2 was in total awe of Navayak, the chances of him leaving were shrinking rapidly.

  6. IC: (Aurix) "So the Voices are gods? I... I must have the Gift too! I hear them all the time! They warn me to stay away from the ocean a lot. Until just recently, they told me to stay away from Ga-Koro!" Then another brainwave struck him. "They must have wanted us to meet so you could tell me about them!" OOC: This is almost too fun.

  7. IC: (Cadias) "If only.." IC: (Aurix) Aurix turned to Navayak. "You haven't said anything since I got here. Any reason for that?" There was no challenge or malice in his tone, he was simply curious as to why Navayak had been silent.

  8. IC: (Tellus) Tellus walked from the back room, glad to be able to move again. Walking up to the bar, he took a seat, taking a few minutes to relax and get an idea of what people were ordering. He made a decision and called over the bartender. "Get me somethin' strong enough to take a fresh coat o' paint off o' a piece o' wood, and a bowl o' soup. Make sure it's good an' hot, now." When the bartender returned, Tellus paid him and poured his drink into his soup, stirring it together and downing it with relish. "Ah, that was good." Then he waited in silence, trying to ignore the fact that he had just spent his last widgets. "Hope I get the job.." IC: (Cadias) Cadias pulled Vrana off to the side. "He is strange. He's like Navayak, except about ten times worse. Navayak I can put up with, but not him." Cadias paused for a moment, then said, "You said that you don't kill Matoran, correct?"

  9. OOC: No problem. I understand.. I just skimmed over the past couple of pages. I really didn't feel like reading two pages that probably wouldn't concern my characters anyway. IC: (Tellus) "Really? I distinctly remeber you enterin' and announcin' your name when the other 'weatherworker' was applyin'. Besides, I'll only be a moment." Deciding to take advantage of the recruiter's momentary attention, Tellus stepped forward. Sweeping the tricorne off of his head, he bowed, and replaced the weathered hat. He was determined to make this as short as possible and get something to eat. "My name is Tellus. I am a Toa o' Plantlife, and lookin' to hire on as the ship's carpenter. I've had a bit of sailin' experience before, but called it quits once it got too dangerous to sail alone. I've got one question: are you the type of Cap'n that executes anyone you capture, defeat, so on so forth?"

  10. IC: (Aurix) "Madness liquid? Never heard of it. So, there's no Bird-Toa after all? I thought so. Sometimes, even the Voices are wrong." Aurix grinned. IC: (Tellus) Tellus restrained a groan. He didn't mind letting the Skakdi pass him, and he supposed that it wouldn't kill him to wait for one more person...

  11. IC: (Cadias) "Well, can you procure something tyable? I intend to gag Chatty over here until he decides to leave us. When he does, he can untie the gag himself. I am not going to put up with questions from him much longer. IC: (Aurix) Aurix managed to pull the Toa's hand off of his mouth and scramble out of his range. "I'm Aurix," he said. "What's your name? Have you escaped the hivemind, freed these two, and come to warn us of the invasion of the Bird-Toa? The Voices have been warning me about Bird-Toa lately." If Vrana was listening closely, he would have heard Cadias mutter, "Ignore it and it'll go away..." This Matoran really got on his nerves.

  12. IC: (Aurix) Aurix was on the verge of asking what 'another one' was, but was distracted by the Bird-Toa babbling on about autographs and wings. Maybe he wasn't all there, so to speak. "Wings? So, do you fly a lot or-MMMMFFFFF." Cadias had clamped his hand over the Matoran's mouth. He ground out, "Not. Another. Word. One more word and I will throw you off of this lily pad. Got it?" Aurix nodded, and Cadias turned to Vrana. "You got a piece of cloth?"

  13. IC: (Aurix) Aurix deemed that he had gathered enough breath to run away should the Bird-Toa grab him. Taking a deep breath, he walked up to the creature, closed his eyes, and touched it on the arm. Reassured that he wasn't seeing things, he laughed and said, "Oh, that's a relief! For a moment I thought I was going crazy!" Then he frowned. It felt as though what he had just said directly contradicted with something. And he was supposed to warn the village, wasn't he? Oh well, it hadn't attempted to assimilate him into the hivemind, so it must be friendly. IC: (Cadias) Cadias was going to tell Vrana that he should most definetely warn him when a Ta-Matoran walked up and touched Vrana. He waited for the Matoran to stop talking before he began. "Warn me next time. Just warn me." IC: (Aurix and Cadias) "Warn you about what?""The next time he decides I should fly with him.""You can fly?" Aurix looked at the darkly colored Toa in awe.Cadias sighed. "No, I can't. He can.""He can fly?""Yes, hence the wings.""Those are wings?" There was a pause. "You're sure they aren't fins of some sort?"Cadias buried his face in his hands in an epic double facepalm. "Not another one..." he groaned.

  14. IC: (Aurix) Aurix watched the Bird-Toa swoop suddenly, then start flying slowly again. He hoped it would land soon and close by. His legs were getting tired. Plus, he thought he was beginning to run out of lily pad. For an instant, he wondered exactly why he was running. Luckily, he remembered it quickly. To be sure that he wasn't seeing things, there was only one thing he could do: touch the Bird-Toa. He watched it land. Good! He stopped to catch his breath. After all, if the Bird-Toa snatched him he would have to run for his life. IC: (Cadias) Cadias sighed in relief, glad to be on solid ground. "Warn me next time..." OOC: I couldn't resist this opprotunity with Aurix. I simply couldn't.

  15. IC: (Cadias) "Vrana! VRANA! You're kind of flying, carrying two people! Might be a good idea not to crash!" Cadias yelled. Seeing the ground rush up towards him caused his stomach to begin rebelling again.

  16. IC: (Cadias) Cadias, not expecting to be grabbed, had let out a yell of shock when he spontaneously began to fly. Then he realized that it was Vrana carrying him. "Warn me next time, will ya?" IC: (Aurix) Aurix, seated in the center of Ga-Koro, watched in amazement as a flying something swooped overhead carrying two beings, one yelling something about Nui-Rama. He hurried gathered his stuff, and ran in pursuit of the object. He had always been faintly aware of his insanity, but it would begin to worry him if he started to see things. And, of course, should they be real, he had to warn the village of the invasion of the flying toa.

  17. IC: (Cadias) Cadias immediately began walking toward the village. "Finally, we're leaving!" IC: (Tellus) Tellus ignored the being who had ruined a perfectly good, entertaining fight. Waiting was not his strong point, he was realizing. OOC: Nice break of the fourth wall there, Xaeraz. You fence? Like, swordplay or fixing/building a fence? I haven't done much today, personally, besides attending a pig roast.

  18. IC: (Cadias) Cadias noticed Vrana flexing his wings, obviously bored. "Think we should go?" OOC: Want to wait for Xaeraz or take off for the village? EDIT: Oh look, Xaeraz just got on.

  19. IC: (Tellus) Tellus could hear yelling from the bar. Bored by how slow the line was moving, he turned around to stick his head out far enough to see around the Skakdi behind of him. He didn't dare move out farther than that. Maybe something interesting would happen, like a fight. That would be better than staring at the wall like he had been doing for what seemed to be an eternity.

  20. You pose an interesting question, Ghosthands. However, when we begin to define the economy in such painstaking detail that people begin investing, we need to have a set amount of widgets in-game, or we'd see everyone running around with a few million little gears. So, of course, we'd need to assign someone to keep the amount of widgets per character reasonable and take note of any and all transactions between PCs and NPCs. No. Just no. I'd much rather have people throwing around random amounts of widgets and keep things nice and simple. The price bracket system would be about as complex as I'd want the 'widgets dilemma' to get.
