  1. I like to consider myslef an active fan. I make mocs often, and I keep the legend going by writing, making videos, posters, and even some old fashioned roleplay!
  2. Are these real? Or did someone just photoshop them?EDIT: Oh, these are real. Why hasen't LEGO sued these people for ripping of BIONICLE's epicness? Luckily, for the most part, they have ( aside from the star soldiers ) I'm kind of sad that lego didn't make those ColeZX and Rattla booster packs. Even the ones I linked to from my Brickshelf? Why is it that these only work for me? Well here is the Brickshelf folder when public. The one thing I do give credit to whoever made these bootlegs is that I do see quite a few unique molds. The brickshelf links are working for me.Anyway, it's clear the larger sets from that line are based heavily on BIONICLE titan sets. This is a Keetongu knock-off, this a Sidorak knock-off, this a Makuta knock-off (as you guessed). The same company that made the parts (not sure who it was originally; seems these have been released under a number of brand names) also designed knock-offs of a Visorak, Jaller & Gukko, Takua & Pewku, Nidhiki, Krekka, and Turaga Dume & Nivawk. Overall, though, I rate these a bit higher than most bootleg brands because their building elements are original and their smaller hero (Toa) / villain (Rahkshi) models are not based on any individual characters. However, it still baffles me that a company with the creative potential to create parts and models that were all their own made larger sets that were obvious knock-offs, despite how much easier it might have been to use their unique part designs to create unique figures rather than have to use unconventional part combinations to imitate existing BIONICLE products. Is it just me, or does the Makuta ripoff's head look like stormers mask? I had a few of those back in the day....they were useful for the little light that some of them had on their heads. And that's all. ._. Oh, and I found a ton of knockoffs.... xD I'd rather not share the rest so I don't spam the page, but I found many more. It may show normal bohrok on the front of the boxes, but when you actually open them up, all the parts are multicolored.
  3. Looks great! The atmospheric haze really gives the finalized picture depth, and the details make it believably realistic! If there is anything I think you should work on, I would say the water.
  4. I am quite proud of this poster, I really like how it fits together. Also, its printable size!
  5. Meltdown or Core Hunter. edit: Come to think of it, I also really like Toxic Reapa and Thornraxx.
  6. This doesn't make sense... Its awesome that Ninjago will come back, but that poster... Dr. Julien made Zane, so it seems that it can't be "more Zanes", however it could be some kind of internal conflict (like Zane has a virus). You know, we didn't ever really learn of the overlord's fate, so could he somehow control Zane or something like that?
  7. The printing is on the helmets underneath their visors. It's especially evident on Bulk, who seems to be scowling with his weird greenish teeth.I guess the only real reason I dislike the printed expressions is because they just instantly started using them and it just feels wrong to me. I'm sure I'll get over it later. Again, what that suggests to me is that there is a hole in the mask that shows the (green) head piece through-- same as with the Breakout version of Rocka. It's a bit misleading that Bulk is facing front, so you can't see the "depth" of the mouth cavity, but on Rocka it should be obvious that his greenish "mouth" is actually his head showing behind his mask rather than a printed detail. Bulk's mouth is also clearer on the cover of Hero Factory Secret Mission #3: Collision Course.Overall, I can't think of any reason Bulk would have a printed helmet piece when none of the others do. You won't need to get over it because frankly there is nothing to get over.Bulk grew a nose! I can't believe I forgot to cover how goofy (and slightly disturbing) these guys heads are. Argue all you like, but I feel like they are far too cartoony for hero factory (as if the "new", detail-less building system isn't cartoony looking enough!). Scarox has a function?
  8. I get your "city invaded by monsters" vibe, but I feel like the heroes have a bit easier a task (in 2005 the toa had to deal with their new forms, fight animalistic impulses, and defeat a horde of enemies), also the hordika thing was something into itself. Besides the "evil brains" don't seem to match up to the power of the visorak.
  9. I'm still not sure if I hate or like this wave, I like the new parts (with some exceptions), and I guess the concept is okay, but I'm not too fond of how they have presented it thus far. ("evil brains" talk about a corny way to put it! )
  10. Hmmm... Didn't they say the same general thing with Herofactory? Is it really as good as Bionicle? Oh and @ Gatanui: the new game gimmic is $20.
  11. Awesome! Now I know I am going to have to wait 'till after Christmas for ninjago.
  12. I see no reasons to not collect the villains (whether for mocing or not) however I am most likely not going to collect the heroes ( save 1 or 2) because they, quite frankly, look boring. That aside, I'm not quite as pumped about this as much as I was for breakout because my preconcived notion for this wave's story is this: Brain bugs arrive at a planet and control the inhabbitants (scarox: native bug), as well as natural formations (Bruizer: rocks, Ogrum:plants, Pyrox:lava. Heh, sounds like slizer), heroes get sent on mission, heroes are defeated, heroes come up with head armor that prevents infection(put peices of glass on their heads ) , and exterminate the bugs. The end. The same mission cycle as always (aside from breakout).
  13. has anyone seen Hordika spinner challenge? I miss that game...
  14. Yeah. Greeeeaaaat! Its nice how the BZP news tells us these things. Oh well, I guess this means some of us want bionicle back (including myself).
  15. I'm not nearly as interested in this as I was in ninjago, however, I may watch the series occasionaly, and I have targetted the two sets that I will buy. One reason that I don't like this as much as ninjago thus far is that I very much enjoyed the oriental theme of ninjago, which is quite missing in chima.
  16. Nice! If I saw a mug with that logo on it, I would buy it in an instant!
  17. I guess the same way everything else turned evil. The dark matter corrupts anything it touches, but whether or not what it touches has the capability of doing anything is the question. Zane of course can move and all, so the dark matter corrupted him like anything else, but had the ability to move still. How about when? Zane wasn't hit by the dark matter, Cole and Jay were. Zane only stayed back to keep them busy.
  18. Due to known pictures of the 2013 wave, it seems that there are many iconic story elements that were not made sets. I will put a spoiler outlining them therefore, it seems like they have some potential to make more sets, but are determined to replace ninjago with chima as soon as possible.
  19. I find it funny that the amazon search box on the homepage searches hero factory for me, and then when I type in and search bionicle, all that comes up is hero factory.

  20. Does making a post that just says "gobble" appropriate now, or still spam?
  21. Wow. The last episode. Certainly leaves room for more, but I imagine that will be up to fanfic.
  22. Oh, its easily accesible via your favorite search engine.
  23. Voya nui resistance team, and the remaining chroniclers company, and mazeka, tanma, Photok, Solek, and perhaps Kirop for numbers 1 and 2.Lesovikk comes to mind for #3.
  24. Anyone remember that game? You know the one where you drive a technic RC around a closed toy store that only sell lego racers stuff?Regardless, I've been playing it for a while, and it has been pretty fun! Anyone else have thoughts or opinions on that game? Hot topic on new years!
