Shadow is not exactly a bad guy, Vahi, but Sonic is just as powerful as Shadow.

And while there are disputes, Sonic has natural speed. Shadow gets his from the shoes. If they ran with different shoes (like Sonic does in SA2), then Shadow would probably lose.
