  1. Ha ha! That's certainly an interesting comparison! Not one I would have ever made, it's hard to imagine Galidor ever being cool. Thanks!
  2. Thanks! Oh wow! There is a bit of a similarity there, isn't there... It even uses the same pieces for the gun. XD Kinda funny I guess.
  3. You make a fair point. But I feel that bichromatic mocs can have a certain simplicity to them that works well. And it depends on the colours, but I try never to use more than three colours, as it can get fairly busy. Black, silver and grey, would probably be the only exceptions to this. As for the "belly button" I was trying to go for something heartlight like. Looking at it now, I realize I probably should have had it facing outwards instead of inwards, and used translucent orange. Something to think of for next time. Thanks!

  5. >>Click here for better quality<< Gallery (when available) It's been a while since I've posted anything here, but I recently broke into my collection again, so I figured I would enter this contest. Decided to limit myself to black, orange and silver - and this was the result. It would probably look better if it was just black and orange, but I don't have enough orange pieces for that unfortunately. Hope you like it!
  6. IC / Mystiko / At the Outcast Towers / With Reya, Kratep, Takarik and Dekuna / Exploring the Dungeons: Mystiko nodded. "Yes, it seems not to have worked," he said disappointed. "Whatever that tremor was must have shook the whole Map, to have caused this much of a stir this far underground. Come to think about it. If it was a way out, and it was the name of someone who had escaped that way, the name probably wouldn't be there any more would it. I'm sure all the thousands of names that are carved into whatever the Carver is using to trap us here, aren't staying there. "Though it does beg the question, what is a map of the Map doing all the way down here in a prison, on the back of a food tray?"
  7. @ ToaDraconixMahvi: I'm going to have to say no to Toa with two elemental powers, choose 1. Also, no pet Kikanalo, I'm letting Lev have them for his Inquisition only because they're specifically for use in the battle against Armageddon, and he's using them in a more general sense. Fenii is approved. Glad to see more people joining Armageddon! Also, sonyaxe, could you please post your character in the profile topic.
  8. OOC: Hi guys, remember me? I used to rp here a long time ago.Ugh, I apologize for being absent. I would have loved to have posted this sooner, but writers block and other distractions got the better of me. Let's try and get this thing going again!IC / Mystiko / At the Outcast Towers / With Reya, Kratep, Takarik and Dekuna / Exploring the Dungeons:"But of course," replied Mystiko, noting that Dekuna had mentioned Zayin's name, even though he was nowhere to be seen. "If this is indeed a way out, of the Map we must let everyone know, instead of just leaving without a trace like this prisonner number one seems to have done."Slowly, Mystiko carved Kratep's name into the map below the name Zanta. The whole room waited in suspense as he carved, the tension could have been cut with an Air Katana. The moment he finished carving the , there was a small tremor. It lasted a few seconds, then the room went silent, Kratep was still standing there, everyone else was still standing there."Well that was rather anitclimactic," said Mystiko. "I was really hoping that would w-" he was suddenly cut off as the whole room began to quake. It felt as if the ceiling was going to collapse in on them. Mystiko dropped his everything as he grabbed a nearby wall for support. The rumbling echoed loudly through the room that appeared to be rocking back and fourth. There was a crack and everyone gasped as Kratep was suddenly bathed in light. GM IC: High above Mystiko and company, a battle was raging on the surface of the Map. Armageddon was facing off against the Inquisition in a destructive battle. City Law Enforcers and Disrupters had also joined the fray. The smoke was thick and heavy, obscuring the new dawn light. And in the midst of it all, a giant green monster. The Tahtorak had been pulled into a vortex of earth, debris, and bodies. The temporary peacefulness that it had felt due to the High Inquisitor's Judgement Cannon drained away like liquid protodermis in a net. It's rage rose up in full force once again. It thrashed wildly in the earthly trap, causing the hole to expand. The whole Map suddenly started to quake. Anyone who hadn't already been woken up by the clash beforehand was definitely awake now. The Map was rumbled to it's core. There was a loud crack as a fissures quickly wove their way from the epicentre to the edge of the Map. They broke through the already damaged wall surrounding the city, they jumped through the River of Life and followed along the River of Death, finally meeting the meeting the Western cliffs. Then a silence hung in the air as if the Carver himself was holding his breath. Then slowly, the Tahtorak and a large chunk of the Map began drifting westward. The stress of Armageddon's explosion and the thrashing of the Tahtorak had been too much for the already cracked and fragile edge of the Map. A huge chunk of stone had actually broken free of the the rest of the Map and was now headed for long ride down to infinite. Everyone who had not already run away from the battle, rushed to to get off of the doomed piece of land. The Tahtorak, however, was trapped in an earthy prison and in it's rage didn't even realize what was going on. The fragment picked up speed, until finally the mass over the edge was so great the rest of the rock tipped upwards. Everyone watched, awestruck, as it peaked and quickly fell down into the abyss, a scream of "Tell me the answer!" following it down. IC / the Carver / Somewhere in the MU: The Carver cursed. On his way back from the Tahtorak's valley, he'd tripped on a root sticking out of the path. His treasured map had fallen out of his hands and a large piece had chipped off. He probably could have used his powers over stone to fix it, but he wasn't sure how it would affect the powers of the Map. So instead, he simply pick up the broken piece, put in his pack and grudgingly continued on his way. IC / Mystiko / At the Outcast Towers / With Reya, Kratep, Takarik and Dekuna / Exploring the Dungeons:Slowly the rumbling died down, and Kratep was still standing in the centre of the room. Mystiko's lightstone which he had dropped when he'd reached for the wall, was lying at the [Darkness]'s feet, illuminating his otherwise dark features. OOC: An image of the missing piece of the Map. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Kovolta/ART/CGIs/trapped_map2.png
  9. Zaak is approved. Again, so sorry I missed that before.

  12. So would a drawing of say, the Mata Nui Robot be acceptable? Or does this not fall under the rule of "design your own"?
  13. GM IC: The Tahtorak barely even noticed the Skakdi on its back. In fact it was just a coincidence that it had started moving in the direction Hatann was trying to direct it too. When it was hit with a blast from the judgment cannon, it started to slowly calm down, and it stopped in its tracks. Now calm, it started to look around more clearly, taking in its surroundings. It started wagging its tail back and forth behind it; righyt in the midst of all the Armageddon. IC / Mystiko / At the Outcast Towers / With Reya, Kratep, Takarik and Dekuna / Exploring the Dungeons: "I think we're all thinking the same thing," said Mystiko. He bent down and picked up one of the loose stones on the ground. "Anyone willing to volunteer?" He asked.
  14. Actually It's a wall tile, not that it really matters. There's also no hole behind it, just more wall.
  15. GM IC: The Tahtorak made a beeline for all the commotion, charging across the map with the Disrupters not far behind it. Those in the battle felt the tremors as it approached, and they momentarily paused from their fight to look for the source. Many of them suddenly became very worried, as they saw the giant rahi start trampling in their midst. "Tell me the answer!" OOC: Maybe we can have some Inquisitors and Armageddon team up to fend off the Tahtorak? Also, are Reya, Takarik and Dekuna going to respond to Mystiko's discovery or should I just proceed?
  16. OOC: I find it no less believable than the number of Toa in Armageddon. Even less believable, considering. The Matoran Universe is not composed of 75% Toa; I wouldn't even say 2% of the population is Toa. If the population is 100,000 by the end of canon with about 50 Toa, that's 1/2000 inhabitants being Toa; it's assumed that the Hunters and Brotherhood thinned them out, so at this point in time, not too long before the Cataclysm, I'd say we can guess at five times as many. That means 1/400 inhabitants being a Toa. The Carver, based on the introductory text, picks people by interest; Toa are interesting, so maybe twice as many. 1/200. Metru-Nui had a population of about 1000 when the 2004 story arc began, no doubt because the majority of inhabitants were no longer needed what with how industrialized it was. If the city has roughly that population, and I believe it says less, then that means that in total we should have... Roughly five? And we already have a much greater number than that in terms of PCs. So far I've had a few Toa NPCs, and singled them out as being elite or having special privileged, but Armageddon seems to have a metric butt-ton. Sorry if this seems a bit ranty, but it's been one of my pet peeves for quite some time. No offense intended, mind you. Huh, I'd always imagined Metru Nui having way more than 1000 inhabitants. I mean karz, where I live, a city has to have at least a population of 5000 to actually be called a city. And Metru Nui means "Great City", so it must have way more than even that. But according to this, you're right that it only had 1000 during the 2004 storyline. Revising my original post, let's say the Population of the Map is about 20,000. It should probably technically be more than that, I mean, the Carver's been trapping people for 1000 years, I'm pretty sure he's trapped more that 20 people a year. He trapped three people and a Tahtorak in just one day. To put it simply: there are quite a lot of Toa and Rahi trapped in the Map.
  17. IC / Mystiko / At the Outcast Towers / With Reya, Kratep, Takarik and Dekuna / Exploring the Dungeons: With the others' help, the door finally swung out into the cell, hitting the inside wall with a clang. Mystiko tumbled forwards into the room, dropping the lightstone; it rolled into the far corner, lighting up the entirety of the room. A small stone cot sat in one corner, a tile in the wall above the cot was missing, the right wall was covered in marks which appeared to be a count of how long the prisoner had been imprisoned, and stone meal tray sat near the door. Aside from a few loose stones here and there, there appeared to be nothing else of interest. It honestly looked like an average prison cell. Getting to his feet, Mystiko picked up the meal tray, there was nothing odd about it. He turned it over and stifled a gasp. Carved into the bottom of the tray was what looked like a map of the Map, or at least what it would have looked like several thousands of years ago. And carved on top of the map was a what appeared to be a name. "What do you make of this?" he asked the others as they filed into the room behind him. GM IC: As the Tahtorak ran after Peya, the sound of fighting caught it's attention. Shifting it's gaze, it saw the commotion being made by Armageddon. Forgetting about the Krahka, it changed directions and started to run towards all the fighting, splashing through the River of Life as it did so. NPC IC / Disrupters / Outside the Oucast Towers: Drawn by the noise and the terrible tremors, the Disrupters who has been meeting in the tallest Outcast Tower had exited the building only find themselves in the presence of a giant rahi - a Tahtorak to be precise. Scared of the damage it might do or just in the mood to hit something, they began to attack it, firing elemental blasts and projectiles at it. The Tahtorak was distracted however, and didn't seem to notice their attacks as it ran off. Not wanting it to get away, they ran after it.
  18. GM IC: Shaken, slightly hurt, and now even angrier, the Tahtorak got to his feet. Peya's sudden movement loud shouting caught his attention as the Krahka started running towards the City. "The Answer!" he shouted charging after Peya, causing the earth to tremble with each step. OOC: Agreed Lorax, if we have no new PC's joining the frays tomorrow, I'll bring in some NPC's. (also thinking of getting the Tahtorak to wander over to Armageddon fight. OOC: Expect another Mystiko post detailing the inside of the cell tomorrow. Going to bed now.

  20. The following is my entry for the Music and Movies section of the Titans vs Monsters forum wide contest. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=blPT0OU7YH8 It's a short video a friend and I made several years ago for a technology class. It's a reenactment of sorts of the final battle in the first Bionicle movie.I know the lighting is horrible. There are many things I would do differently when making this video now. Hmm, I wasn't expecting it to be embedded, all I did was paste the link. I hope that's not a problem, if it is I can see if I can fix it.
  21. Wish you could have stuck around.
  22. Due to the recent revisions of the Advertising Policy, can we host our videos on that one video hosting website, or must they still be hosted on Vimeo?
  23. IC / Mystiko / At the Outcast Towers / With Reya, Kratep, Takarik and Dekuna / Exploring the Dungeons: They'd been descending for a long time now, it had almost seemed as if the stairs were infinite. They must be deep under the surface of the Map. Finally Dekuna spoke up, announcing the end of the uniform, unchanging stairs. "Well then, what are we waiting for?" Asked Mystiko as he rushed past Dekuna's outstretched hand, his lightstone lighting the way. The staircase ended opening up into a small room with a stone bench on each side. Opposite the stairs was a big, heavy, metal door with a grated window in the centre. Mystiko walked up to the door shone the lightstone on it, examining every inch of it. The door was in pristine condition, the shiny protosteel was unmarked in any way. It was almost as if the door had never been used. Glancing upwards, he noticed that there was something carved into the wall above the door. Shining the lightstone farther up revealed the words Prisonner Number One. "This must be the cell, in which the Toa in the legend was kept!" He exclaimed. Moving his gaze to the window, he tried to see inside, but the window proved too small to get a good enough look. "Let's take a look inside!" He turned the lock and pushed inwards to open the door, but it wouldn't budge. So many years of inactivity must have frozen the door shut. "Give me a hand with this will you!" He said to the others. GM IC: The Tahtorak thrashed wildly in the air. All of the movement and the sheer weight of the beast strained on the gravity powers of the Skakdi, causing him to lose his control. The Rahi fell back towards the ground. Another huge boom followed by another quake rocked the area. OOC: Come on guys! Come help fight a giant Tahtorak!
  24. - There is a newly appeared Tahtorak that is very angry near the Outcast Towers. Come and help calm it down or fight it off. - Armageddon has blown a hole in the wall near the Outcast towers and are assaulting the city. If you're a Worshipper or law enforcer, or inquisitor, come help fight them off.
