  1. @Vahi: Yeah, it comes as no surprise, but it's inspired by Gavla. But I think my way of using it is different. He uses his static/video effects in order to portray an imbalance in reality, like the world is glitching up, but here.... well... I won't tell you just yet. @Chath: Muahahahaha, soon, all shall make the idea of purple eyes a cliche!Seriously though, I have no idea. I guess it makes the characters seem more cursed for me. I need some more original ideas.@DJ: Hm. Come to think of it, I might have subconsciously copied this from Slender's "game over" screen. Ominous close-up, dead face, white-ish background....
  2. Here's a teaser for the next part, guys.I won't be saying anything else as of now of the comic itself, but I'll let you try interpret it.Edit: Image thumbnailed; please keep posted images below 500 kB in file size. Click on the thumbnail to see the full-size image!-Wind-
  3. Listen to this for nowSorry, guys, gotta start packing!
  4. Sweet merciful God, so it not only uses elecricity, but it crushes their innards? That is both creative and just evil!Well, for the assumption that it was a Makuta, he got half of that right.EDIT: wait, I just realized it wasn't the electric gun. My bad.
  5. Erm... By that logic, my avatar is a preview of a Mega Man/Bionicle crossover. But yeah, don't mess this up.But what is your response to our suggestions?
  6. I agree with telling them the truth, but still it gets to be annoying. Its basically people telling him 'You spelling stinks, you haven't used any form of drawings, your sprites stink, your background and text stinks, etc". Thats fine and all but you can't just tell someone that their comic stinks and expect them to get better. You have to actually help them, suggest things to do, etc. I know that some comic makers might be able to easily improve without help, but there are some that might need it.Anyway, I'm looking forward to how the next comic will turn out. You have a lot of interesting ideas, so I can't wait to check out what you come up with for comic 2.~SoranThis is under the assumption we are flat out saying his comic stinks. To be quite honest, all of the posts here have been constructive to a point. Sure, some have been harsh, but that is life. You just have to deal with it. Not to mention, it is very hard to say it in a nice way. What I see here is a text document in image format. That isn't a comic, that is a picture epic. We've given him all the constructive criticism he needs. What he needs to do is act on it.But here's the thing. He's had 3+ series with the same quality, same criticisms and no advancements. Nothing new. Nothing learned.
  7. I'm aware that we don't have to criticize something, but when it's this eye-catching, insulting, and time-wasting, I'm sorry, we have to identify this. This is not the first time tent163phantoka has done this, and so far, he hasn't learned much, if anything. He keeps repeating the same mistakes again and again, blaming US for criticizing him, constantly putting out practically the same thing over and over again, and we HAVE to identify with this guy. It's frankly degrading to people that actually work hard on our comics, and I feel personally astounded that this is even possible. What do you have to say, tent163phantoka?
  8. Sorry, Windrider, it's just that... well.... most of us honestly don't have any really nice things to say. Sorry.
  9. Oh for the love of tofu..... Let's get all bullet point about this, shall we?1. You're quitting something just because you're being criticized? What sense does that make? You put something on the forum, people leave comments on it, positive AND negative. The event something is unanimously decided to be good is absurd. I was working on a 5-month long project called Unison, and despite work that is ABUNDANTLY more in quality than this, I still was criticized by some, and I still continue. Sorry, but, just take it! 2. No, here's the thing about accepting tips. What we gave you are basic tips in order to tell a story fluently. But these are not things that require longer than 3 weeks in order to register! Just take the advice, and it should take only an hour! Bam, now you can tell at least a formulation of a story! For the love of gods, this is quote literally Comics 101! 3. You have a kit chosen? Erm... Thanks, we really needed to know. Aside from handdrawn comics, EVERY. I repeat, EVERY comic series here uses a kit. You spelling such an obvious requirement for a series here, which I'd like to remind you, 90% of is SPRITE comics, it really gives the vibe you don't know what is significant here! Do you do no research?!4. Panel 6 is both astonishingly puzzling, but frankly, it's insulting. You just clearly said that this series was about Bionicle journalism. Weird concept, but acceptable. What explanation is needed after that? It feels really condescending with that, that we're dipwads that can't tell a basic subject that's literally in front of our faces, like "Don't know what journalism is? No? Then let me explain later, you I-assume-to-be-kindergarteners!"5. Panel 7: No, we don't. That is indeed a valid point. HOWEVER, comics are a visual medium used for storytelling. These have nonestablished stories, and you give up on them after the first comic for reasons stated in point 1. Have some focus, or at least some bit of your brains for criticism acceptance!6. Panels 8 and 9 are by the most insulting lines to me. Gavla's comics. Generic Quest. Randamonium, Alternate Reality Inc., Looking at the Sky. Do you seriously don't do research!? Stop making assumptions based on things you haven't bothered to look at! Bottom line, tent163phantoka, I honestly can't believe you haven't caught on. I was going to be lenient, but is seems you aren't even bothering to take in criticism because apparently, you think your comics will always end up perfect. That's not how life works, tent163phantoka. If this is how you want to spend your time here, hen fine by me, just dot expect us to care and waste our time with rants like this.Faretheewell.
  10. Ugh, again!?I'm sorry, but what happened to I Ship It? Can't you make a series that actually has more than one comic?
  11. I honestly can't tell if this a serious tribute to Windrider or a slam against him.
  12. Oh, it was an outlet. Eh, I'll be prototyping the Septuple X Battery in the meantime.

OH GOD, IT'S DOLAN, HE'S INVADED BZPOWER! HIDE EVER MS PAINT USER!o_o
  14. Wondering what exact voltage that gun takes. Does it charge via electric cable or battery? Hm....Introducing the new Triple-Z battery! Whether it powers your car or your electric mega-weapons of death, you know it will work!Just another thought. lOl
  15. "You have 1 comments." Oh, Bzpower system, you so silly.

haha, I find it entertaining how websites are like that.

  16. "Instead, we have those automatically-sliding walls like in Star Trek. Still, it sometimes hits our heads on the way out."Just a thought. XD
  17. Hey, that's a pretty interesting theory,.Or, that could be natural kindness, but hey, what do I know? This guy just took a semi profession in assassination and killed a bunch already, and he might be planning doing the same in a few years or so to them kids.Wow, is it just me, or did this forum just get darker? O_O
  18. Yeah, my interpretation is that the scarred eye is sort of dead in a way. Doesn't work, so it doesn't really enlarge or shrink. However, I do make the "pupil" move, because due to the RZMIK kit style, if it's a pixel off, he'll look kind of derpy, don't you think?
  19. Wait, what? Where did I screw up?
  20. Not surprised it did work on them. They are actual 100% robots, after all.But seriously, I wonder: What is that guy going to do with all those masks, and why aren't those ones of any worth? Is he trying to reforge them into some super-uber-Eldritch mask abomination?

Gerlicky...I actually kind of needed that. While that did crush a bit of my ego, it actually also helped me a bit. Here's the thing; I am not egotistic. I know that while I am good, I honestly don't think I have qualities that would make comics as great as Gavla's Comics, Generic Quest, etc. I just made this as a bit of my own celebration, which happened to include a bunch of others. Let's talk about the points in order:-The concept: Yeah, I guess that was a ##### part on my part. I guess I didn't really elaborate much on this, and I know people were probably expecting something else completely different, like it being more story-driven or such. But here's the thing: How story-driven can you exactly make this? I honestly don't think it could have much more of a plot considering this somewhat barbaric nature of the entire concept, but if somebody actually can think up of a legitimately more fitting plot, yeah, then I retract that argument.-The graphics: Yep.... I honestly agree with this....sort of.I don't really know what to do about the effects, to be fairly honest. I know they definitely aren't amazing, but also aren't terrible to me. Part of this comes from my own personal style, and yeah, it admittedly don't think it's perfect, but it gets the job done for me. I'm honestly not really great at the more professional graphics, such as Generic Quest or Live, Learn and Lawsuits, but I honestly don't know how to do something like that. They must have spent a ton of time on stuff like that, and that's dedication, but I don't really have the skills or... to be honest... time to do it. My computer isn't perfect for this, because I have a bunch of other things clogging up my harddrive space, and while comics are a big part of my interests, my life doesn't always let that be a priority. I've actually had a HUGE amount of accidents occur during this time, and I honestly feel really terrible and really unlucky that things like this would happen at possibly the WORST of times. I know I had... what, six months for this, but I didn't really plan things out all the way. Most of the time when I was creating the series was during May/June time, and that's when I was having my school finals (wow, mentioning school in early August. God, I'm a nerd.), and it was a very stressful time for me. But still, your claim is valid, but I feel that in terms of the graphics themselves.... it's based on opinion. The ending: Okay, THIS, to me, was inexcusable.Yes. I said it.Here's the scoop on the ending: This wasn't the original intention. I actually had an alternate ending to this fight, but it honestly felt way to cheesy and melodramatic, and that I'd be ridiculed for it. I plan on releasing it as an alternate ending later (I still have the storyboard, I might actually finish it when I have more time), but I didn't really know how people would react. So, I went this route, and I felt it was much better, and honestly, I still kind of do.As stated in the credits, I've left this ambiguous since it's pretty symbolic to the whole subject of controversy. Also, another reason I didn't touch upon, was that I wanted to have it up for interpretation. See what the masses come up with. But in the end, while I'm satisfied very much with my final ending, the fact that I didn't take a risk of releasing something that I initially planned for is just lazy. I guess I should release it soon, but most people in general seem to have liked it.In conclusion, Gerlicky, you've actually brought up a bunch of great points about this, but honestly, I am still satisfied with the end result. You have your own opinion, I have mine, and so does everybody else, and the general consensus is that, yes, I did make a neat comic. I admit it has major flaws to it, but I think we can all agree that this was a nice idea executed really well. This is why I brought up the idea of continuing this further. I came up with the idea, but this can be thought as the initial introduction. There are FAR better talents in this forum that can pull off this idea WAY better than I, but I just feel privileged to take this idea and complete it. I'd like to see someone else try. Let's be creative here, shall we?

@XIV. Xion: Refer to my response to Facade. XD@Facade: Malcolm in the Middle, anyone? I actually made this as it was because it is remenicent of like a momento, like an old photo. Oddly enough, all I had to do was make them look happy and apply a sepiatone filter. Heh, go figure.@Terra Nuva: We all miss Dark, Terra. We all do.@Vahi: I love how people seem to assume even with a gargantuan explosion like that, they would all survive. BZpower logic, methinks. XDThough even if they did all die, I don't think it would be canon to any comic series, as I said it before on the first comic.Anyways, THANK YOU all so much for supporting this miniseries! It was a shame to have this finally end, and yet I thank you all for supporting this all the way.As said before, I would honestly like to see this be some sort of an anniversary event like the Christmas Advent Calander. I'd like to see this sort of idea expanded on, but not have to do with a fight... I'd like to see the authors be united in a way OTHER than a brawl.I won't be doing something in this magnitude for a while, as... Well.... That Adventure Series is feeling like a major breather after this, and I'd just like to rest for a while. :)But yeah, I'd like to see what you guys think about this and what you come up with as a response! I'll see you all soon.(At least make a Bzpower comics wiki page on this. XD)
  23. I'm wondering if the title is a meta-allusion to your New York trip. (the lights gave one of the tour members a minor epilepsy. O_o)Anyways, please test it on a lightning rod. Too many lives have been extinguished for money/your boredom, Gavilan!

Hah, you little kiddies have fun. I'm actually interested to see if someone would be willing to continue this out, like the Christmas Advent Calender we do every year. I wanna see some new ideas, and that would be downright fun, wouldn't it?Anyways, Day 7. Last comic....Here's to us.Have a nice day!
