  1. Those Toa stones had little-to-no power in them. The Toa Metru already sacrificed all the power to wake up the Matoran. They could only act as a summoning tool with their low energy levels and what not.

And just to be clear, the reason why Velika isn't a GB in the Kingdom is because he became a Toa, but also because he didn't stop the universe from failing at all. He just did his generic duties. All of this has been already examined and ratified months (or a year?) ago. :)

  2. Here's a simple explanation: it's a toyline. Calm down.

Artistic license explanation: it's funny. Most of these seem to be made with large doses of cartoony humor in mind (frankly it's a relief looking at how serious Gen1 came out to be).

Storyline explanation: I don't think I have anything yet. There's not really much to go off of, but I suggest you think about the latter 2 a little bit more.

  3. That's really weird, because I remember when I asked this same question a while back, not sure was it on LMB or here, I got the answer that he wasn't in the Kingdom, and that's why the Kingdom Velika became Toa. It was also stated that in that universe MU sapiance (I hope its the right term) was established all along within the programming.

  4. Shadow is only considered bad because of its association with Makuta, and this ideology became laregly prevalent after the Brotherhood rebelled. Before, it was just another elemenet, however no Kraa-MTT were created as there is no real potential good that could be made with shadow. Also, remember, every being has / should have more or less balanced amounts of moral light and shadow. Makuta are good examples of it that eventually got rid of all their light, but even though that happened they continued to serve the world for the better for a while. My point is that even a shadow moral being could be "good" through fear or some other tactic, but after Mata Nui enforced and observed the situation in the MU less, shadow slowly became associated with bad, while light became associated with good, as things started falling apart.

I personally think that beings who are made naturally for their function to be more dominant and violent tend to have more moral shadow in them, while the ones who were meant to maintain and regulate infrastructure stuff were more prone to have moral Light.

Also, Yaldbaoth, I think you should poll it, see what people like more, but also mention the alternative. Basically give him reasons why each would be better. Come to think of it, idk if it needs to be polled, your call! :P

  5. So, I've made this topic to discuss the Golden Skinned Being, and primarily why Teridax decided to implement the idea of his creation into the group of Skakdi?

I mean isn't this thing like extremely OP? Why would you want this independent being running loose in your universe?

Anyway, I'd ask Greg, but i don't want to be a hypocrite hence I'll consult you people before. :)

Plus, I'm not sure if Greg would quite remember the details of what I'm talking about. :/

  6. I remember when I MOCed him, I stuck to the original design and I just added like green spikes all over (cuz yaknow, antidermis), and made a dorsal fin out of Visorak feet I believe. I left the mask on him, and gave him some black Mahri tubes, however no dome. I think I have a picture buried something.

  7. Posted on the LMB about this. If he says its fine should it be canonised by his word, or would some of you still like a poll? I personally see it being minor enough that it would be okay without one and just his word but if anyone thinks otherwise please do say.

Yeah, it seems really minor, plus no one is rustled, so I think it's all fair game. :)
  8. Well, in the Melding universe, Teridax gained light powers, and although his mask turned gold it still retained all shadow powers. Given this, I think we can assume that the Mask of Light would turn black, but would retain all of its light powers.

    This.

It's pointless to have a mask change power with the Toa, especially since it didn't happen with Makuta. It asks more questions than it answers, so keep the MoL controling light, and not a Kraahkan.

Just how alt.Teridax sees his mask as a constant symbol of temptation and his battle over darkness these alt.Takanuva can find their mask as a reminder of their weakness, or maybe even stand as a symbol for their salvation.
