  1. Member Name: Kini HawkeyeAnswer/Entry Category: 2Entry Question: Hi, I was recently contacted by a member with a higher proto and post count than me, stating that my overuse of the word "post" in one of my posts had caused his own post to go unnoticed, despite the fact that my post was significantly less intelligent and much less of a post. he then proceeded to tell me not to use the word post in my posts, because posts should be insightful, not posts about posts being post-ful. However, i also heard that there was a quote about making your posts count and I feel this directly contradicts him, as talking about posts in a post can lead to interesting discussion. I just wanted to know if there is a specific limit on how many times a word can go into a single sentance, and more specifically, if we can post an entire post with simply the word post, as I did.I'm Totally gonna win >=DEDIT REASONS: Bah, I did the same thing ET Did D: I didn't edit the actual entry though, just added the "I'm totally going to win" thing. And This. yeah... :/

  2. SO EVERYONE,I've recently begun re-experiencing the good ol' days of Halo 3, and was wondering...Well lets face it, Halo's not as fun with three people, so i was wondering if, for old times sake, we could get the Majority, or at least a large portion of the BZPHalo Group back together for a night of fun and games. If you're interested, send me a PM or add me to XBL, DarkxxDestinyxx. So yeah... We can have some good ol fun...Halo on Halo anyone?

  3. I'd be willing to play a game... if i owned it on the Computer.i only have it for Xbox, so anyone else with it for said platform is welcome to add me for a game of Silver or something - I usually do bronze but prefer silver or even gold when playing with a full house... better coordination...

  4. I just realized that i never came on here and posted how much i truely loved this Comic, and how happy I am that it won. While i'm not going to do a real review, i'm actually popping in to tell you, if you weren't aware, that we in The Three Virtues Podcast did a coverage on the contest and ended up talking about City of Wretches (and kings =P). So if you havn't checked it out, go do so =D

  5. Um...I'm confused. Is this an idea/breakdown for an actual coded game, or is this a text game? Cause in either event it doesn't belong in CoT, and if it's the latter it needs approval.Add on to that the fact that it's extremely confusing doesn't help.

  6. I personally like the BR, but that's just me. The Armor i'm iffy on, but i'll wait until we can see the full range of what we're given to judge. Default armor is never the best thing to go off of, IMO.Also i don't see the BR as being Mass Effect, i see it as a Futuristic/Modern cross. Besides, if you've ever actually played Mass Effect... well these weapons look nothing at all like them. They don't even have the decency to collapse in on themselves for storage.

  7. Voted for Call it Your Grave, as it was the only comic in this poll, and sadly the entire contest, that actually had me thinking about the actual mystery itself. So much so that I actually went and translated the Binary on the Tablet.Not. Fun.As well done as the other comics were, I personally felt that some of them were almost... unfinished, or strayed too far from the aim of the contest.

  8. It was close, but in the end i Voted for Mystery Theater and City of WretchesThe former for many reasons. Considering it being the only "traditional" Sprite comic in this poll, and probably one of the most well executed ones in the contest. The latter, however, was probably my favourite comic overall - even out of all the fantastic Hand Drawn comics this Contest spawned.

  9. Ironically, everyone told me it was the hardest achievement.Potu and... I think UK took me to get it.First try :PShocked em both. The key to it is to just sprint off of the cliff just to the left of one of the boulders. Might take a try or two but you'll usually make it in time to not have the Elite move, and will usually be in the right spot.

  10. Lupe Fiasco, Kanye, Tinie Tempah, and some very limited Jay-Z and Dr. Dre are about the extent of the Rap music i listen to. In general i find rap to be annoying at best, but that's just my personal taste. Lupe Fiasco was really the first rapper i truely liked and remains so to this day, considering that, unlike Kanye with an entire album dedicated to to pretty much everything bad you can do, He's got three albums that are more or less dedicated to saying things the way they are and making fun of some politics along the way. That being said, i have nothing against anyone who likes rap, it's just not the type of music i could listen to all day unless it's backed up by some really nice music. But that also depends on the tempt of the rap too, I guess. If you're speaking so fast you can't be understood than it's a little overkill.

  11. OOC: As of Today my Three Xifos' Cruisers have been completed. They're currently docked in the port of Syressa and will be sent, after more preparation, to the far west to see what can be seen.I'd also like to explain my half-absence. The RPG's approval came at a bad time for me, for multiple reasons. One being that I just took on a major project writing wise, have multiple school projects that, while not necessarily stressful, are taking my time, and, perhaps worst of all, I'm just don't entirely feel like playing an RPG like this at this moment. Or any RPG, really. However I'll still make some effort to play, though for the time being i'll probably just sort out the maths. So, with that out of the way,~~~Build Order-1 Sfodroús Anémous Class Cruiser (Completion: March 8th)-Chain Design Completed.-3 Xifos' Completed.~~~IP Available: 15Unfortunately it's late and i won't be ICing this post, so sorry :/

  12. If you don't know where the quote's from Rewatch the movies, or search the web, reread the books, and the like.I MIGHT decide to actually enter this. Would be my first in a while, at least since A Thousand Years Untold 2.Hmmm.... Perhaps my favourite Tolkien Quote will have to be the basis of my attempt. Theodens speach on the field of Pelenor always has sent shivers down my spine :P

  13. It's a trend, the forums trend just as much as Real life does.Besides, it's the formula that's working right now. I don't know if you've noticed but these "RTSRPGS" happen to be some of the most popular on the forum since it rebooted.I still fail to see what the big problem is. If you're afraid of the numbers, don't play. Simple as that. Lloyd's already admitted it's an experiment, and if we didn't have experiments, the forum would go into stagnation. I love Sci Fi RPGs, and none bring fonder memories than Lloyd's own Night of Infinity. But no matter how different you get storyline wise, eventually every Sci Fi RPG starts to feel the same if the mechanics don't change.RTSRPG's, as they're being called, were originally an Experiment. They're now Extremely Popular. Experiments are good. Allow the monotomy to be broken every once in a while - there's different ways to RP than the same old that BZP's employed as it's standard for years. Maybe not as fun, maybe not as efficient, but they exist, and i'd prefer to play in an experiment every once in a while than have RPGs start becoming Boring. It's the same as the videogame industry. If you don't innovate, people get bored. Every Game, asides those in a series/classics, at least tries to bring something new to the table. Unfortunately if story's the only change, then you're not bringing much.Oh dear god rants... my fingers...

  15. On the Subject of Level Imbalances:I'm going to use Warcraft Three as my Analogy here. You have your armies, the essential "NPCs" of the RPG, and you have your Heroes, which are the equivalent of "PCs."Your Hero has a level between One and Ten that increases the more experience you get. A level ten hero has stronger skills, and more, than a Level Five. Now assuming you're a level one, and your enemy is a level five, they have more health, speed, and "mana" with them. However, even though you only have One spell with your hero, and your enemy has a combination of three, plus two "levelled up."It's still possible to win against that hero - but not in a One on One. However, Warcraft is a game that has set stats - no room for argument. The RPG that Lloyd has suggested has way more wiggle room than WarIII, even if there're still hard stats.I fail to see the problem with the RPG when, especially in something like the BZPRPG, people can have any amount of power they want. You can have the essential equivalent of a god as long as you RP it well, and a Matoran can beat you if it's RP'd well. The Inclusion of Hard stats doesn't change the entirety of the RPGing formula because people already beat characters with skills and power far greater than their own.The Inclusion of hard stats, as far as I'm concerned, doesn't change whether or not you''re going to win. Especially when a dice roll is involved. But then again, everyone here's been RPing for quite a bit longer than I have, even If i have staffed my fair share of RPGs. I say give the RPG a chance, at least after the example is posted. I don't like to say it but at times it seems to me like BZPRPGs, especially those in CoT which need to be approved, are ever so slowly going into stagnation - and a lot of times i blame the forums seeming unwillingness to try new things.Never know, some of the RPGs that havn't met the current standard on the forum could've one day become the most popular out there. But that's a rant for a different time. All i'm saying is give Lloyds experiment a chance. Because it could be a hit and you'd never know. Change is good.

OOC: OK, I have evaluated things in the RPG. I didn't see Vak's pos regarding the turret or our characters' siuation. So, therefore, I saw Ferris' plan as a lot more flawed than it is in actuality. So, on account of the "personality issues", could you please disregard any of the unpleasant interaction passed, because it was born of pure lack of knowledge of the current scenario. In other news, I've spent a few das working and have managed open myself a nice window for free time.

It's perfectly alright, but just try to remember that if something going on doesn't make sense, reread the topic. Every once in a while it's okay, but just try to remember that if something's going on and you're going in circles, that there's probably something you missed in topic. It's not worth leaving over, and if you get to that point again the only thing i'm going to say is to reread the topic.IC:{Special Operations Ultra}{Kiro Uron}Kiro screamed in pain as the other Spec Ops operatives administered the shock, his mind waking from pain induced sleep only to encounter more pain. He gripped the sides of the makeshift bed with such a force that the weak metal bent, and he very nearly slumped back into unconsciousness. He sat up, slowly at first, breath coming in ragged gasps. "Where... What Happened?"
  17. IC:Nearly a month after the arrival of the various foreign delegates, Limited communication was available to them all. While the Aquileoneese Ambassadors proposed their alliance in secret, each of the nations who had arrived - the Aquileon, The Stans, and the Kiserre, were all invited into the Emporers palace for talks with the Emporer himself regarding two things.Peace, and trade. It was decided that any nation who agreed to peace would recieve a large trade presence with Syressa, while anyone who only agreed to trade would have that presence slightly diminished. The chief exports would be the variety of rare spices that the island was full of, and the various types of Syressan cuisine. In return, the other nations would be allowed to trade their own exports, Use Syressa as a port for their ships during storms, and use the Empires hopeful trade agreements to spread their technology even to those they may not have trade agreements with.In return, each nation who's goods were bought by other nations were promised one third of the profit - non negotiable. While the terms of the meeting were laid out on the table, the Syressans became restless - they wanted to see the new world around them, and being sailors by trade and birth, their inability to leave the islands outer reaches was making them extremely restless. However, the empire was determined to not cause a war by going somewhere they weren't supposed to, and as such, they would wait for nations to come to them.At least, in most cases.~~~Build Order-3 Xifos Class Frigates (Completion: February 19th)-1 Sfodroús Anémous Class Cruiser (Completion: March 8th)-Chain Development (Completed February 17th)~~~OOC: As i've been lazy in looking through the topic, anyone i missed who came to Seasgate is in the meeting, i've just forgotten you, so remind me and i'll edit the post, or you can have your guys show up late :P

  18. IC:As the various ships began flooding into the large bay, four docks were set asides, some of the largest in Syressa, to house the diplomatic vessels. Greeting each was a group of diplomats, the finest translators in the nation, and - perhaps most importantly - Military Personell. As the first of the ships docked, the foreign ambassadors were disembarked and strode towards the welcoming party. The Syressans bowed and offered two gifts - one being a voiced electronic dictionary, and the other being a large jar of one of the Nations planned exports - Spice. The same was done to each boat as it docked, declaring their noble intentions. All except one, however, to which the same were given in addition to one more. The boat, and its ambassadors, those from the island directly north of them, were given a boat.It was a small one, a simple patrol boat that would be manned by Syressans when it returned to their home, but the intention was protection.OOC: That last one's you Lloyd. Everyone else who sent boats has been docked and translation attempts are currently underway. You know, it might almost be an interesting use of IP: attempting to create one standard language. But that's as likely to happen through war, diplomacy, and trading :P~~~~Build Order-3 Xifos Class Frigates (Completion: February 23rd)-1 Sfodroús Anémous Class Cruiser (Completion: March 8th)Remaining IP: 15~~~~ Defensive Structure in Development:Chain across the Mouth of the Bay, "Nai Alysída"Designed to Stop enemy ships and Submarines by embedding a massive chain into the mountains at either end of the bay, hiding the chain underwater and draping razor wire over it. 19. OOC:I based all that on the content of your posts and the events leading up to it. Can't help it if all i saw was "I'm going to leave because no one's listening to me"Whatever your reasons, you'll probably be kept on the list in case you want to rejoin in the future.IC:{Special Operations Ultra}{Kiro Uron}Kiro's groggy eyes opened slightly, revealing a most peculiar sight. He was still on the Scarab, that much was sure, but the entirety of the lower deck had been converted to a Field Hospital. He tried to stand, but as he moved his head exploded with pain and he was forced to lay back down. Trying to move his arm hurt as well, and he felt sure that there were still pieces of needle shrapnel inside the wound. And then it hit him. Not only was he in the scarab, but his armor and weapons were gone. His mind panicked, expecting that he'd been taken prisoner by those who owned the scarab, but upon seeing two of the elites he recognised from during the battle, he visibly relaxed. Attendants rushed over to him, running tests and pressing buttons. He heard a small hiss, and slowly fell back into sleep. It wouldn't last long though. just long enough for the remainder of the shrapnel to be removed and hopefully save the Elder Sangheli's life.

  20. OOC:

Name: The Seasgate Empire (Known as Syressans)History: Before recorded history, the Empire was united under one banner. Not through war or bloodshed, but through the effective combination of Economic Superiority, and Cultural Assimilation. To this day, the Empire’s peoples are all considered equal, regardless of race or ideals, making the Empire one of the few with such a tightly knit society. It is because of this united history that the peoples of Seasgate have refused war for much of their recorded history. While it’s not to say wars have never broken out, they are usually short, swift, and bloody. The separated nature of the Isles makes war just as damaging to the victor as the defeated, and so wars are immediately followed with trade. And that is where the Empire’s true strength lies.Due to their living on a Continent split by massive rivers, experimentation into ships was swift, and even faster was the development of ship-borne defenses. The combination of mighty ships and their inability to travel to land has instilled all facets of the Seasgate Military to concentrate on Area-Of-Effect and Range. Long-Range Cannons and various artillery armaments are common on both Ships and Vehicles, and the effectiveness of the well trained navy is known to all that cross them.As ships became ever stronger, the nation attempted to explore the mists, to little avail. While small islands and sandbars were discovered, not much else was found. Ships that explored beyond these rarely returned. After so many years of peace and good trade, War Factories have once again begun to pump out canons and artillery in the aftermath of the clearing mists. Mighty warships long docked in ports once again hear the roar of their engines. Experimental designs in Naval, Land, and Air combat, all of which were considered obsolete in an age of peace, are once again looked over as Seasgate Prepares for war. After all, no one said Merchants had to be peaceful.Cultural traits: With a culture devoted to survival, the Empire has long been a majorly merchant empire. With one of the largest non-combat navies (without their knowledge) in the world for the past hundred years or so, the Empire is a firm believer that any problems with another nation can be solved with coin. And if not, it’s small but specialized military is more than enough to discourage hostilities.Location: 11

Designed with three key roles in mind, the Ship is both Decoy and Target. With its limited range it is sometimes equipped with a shaped warhead on the front, designed to detonate on impact with an enemy ship. The captains of these vessels are usually either the bravest or craziest citizens of the empire, as they’re just as willing to sacrifice their ship to take out an enemy, as they are to fire the weapons.Weaponry: Shaped Charge on the front of the Hull designed to rip most enemy ships in half, sacrificing the Xifos, Five Gatling Cannons, one missile launcher.Upkeep/Build time/Build Cost: 25 for 1/10 daysVehicle Class: Seirí̱na Class SubmarineVehicle Description: With no weapons systems asides those that it’s highly trained occupants use, the Seirí̱na mimics the signals of enemy craft, luring them to a specific spot. However, upon firing the Komistí̱s Pónos actually fires a cluster of four high density shells, which explode above their target in a rain of shrapnel and release an additional cluster of explosives with impact directly onto the deck of the ship they’re attacking.Weapon Name: Anapnoí̱ tou DrákouWeapon Description: With only a single example of this weapon present on any of the Empire’s ship designs, the Anapnoí̱ tou Drákou is a serious force to be reckoned with. A massive array of missiles and cannons, capable of being fired alone or simultaneously, the Anapnoí̱ tou Drákou is a literal capital ship killer, as the simultaneous firing of every gun in the array sends nearly sixty tonnes of ordinance into the air, crashing down upon enemy vessels like the literal Anapnoí̱ tou Drákou, or Breath of a Dragon.SPECIAL OPERATIONSDivision Name: Dýti̱s Kólasi̱, or **** DiversDivision Description: Stationed Inside one of the Navy Seirí̱na Submarines, the Dýti̱s Kólasi̱ are some of the most highly trained military units in the entire Seasgate Empire – Akin to America’s Navy Seals. IC:{Seasgate Capitol - Syressa}While Other nations celebrated with grand parades or holidays, the trade nation of Seasgate - so named due to its massive bay that harbored hundreds of ships - celebrated in a different way. They prepared their ships for war. Old, outdated technology was ripped hastily off all manner of ships and replaced with military grade weapons and systems, developed in secret during the last fifty years of peace. It wasn't to say they intended to start a war, but they had long expected they were not alone, and had known for even longer that, if ever the mists disappeared, whatever was out there, would probably be hostile. For a nation that traded every day and was focused on their economy, the loss of a trade ship would not bode well. For the first time in centuries, the massive Frigates that once patrolled the bay were again powered up and refitting operations were begun. The Shipyards again began building warships and designs were spread all around, the most capable captains and crews asked to enslist in the military.Small convoys of speedboats were sent out to patrol, and the largest of the trade ships were stocked for trade. The Empire didn't need to celebrate. They would do so when they had the world in the palm of their hand.~~~~Build Order-3 Xifos Class Frigates (Completion: February 23rd)-1 Sfodroús Anémous Class Cruiser (Completion: March 8th)Remaining IP: 15~~~~
