  1. I must agree. While Bionicle G2 has been fantastic set wise, the story is a real let down. They seem to be trying to overcompensate fixing old Bionicle's complexity, to the point where half the main characters don't even have names or personalities. I mean, Ninjago and Chima gave every single character a name, and those were complete flops (oh wait). Really though, my main issue is that the story isn't taking itself seriously. Remember MNOG? Sure it was lighthearted, and there was plenty of humor, but it still took itself seriously. The enemies were actually threatening. You got the feeling that the island was in real danger. In G2, the threat level is little more than a bunch of spooky scary skull spiders rampaging around remote areas of the island that can be defeated with pretty much any AOE elemental attack. There is no drama. We know the Toa will win, because there is no real reason for us to think otherwise. Not to mention that the Toa's personalities have been dumbed down to the point that I'm actually rooting for the bad guys. I just don't get it. With Ninjago (and to a lesser extent Chima and Hero Factory) doing so well story wise, I had high hopes for Bionicle. I just don't get it. Oh well. At least the sets are great.
  2. They are indeed light grey. According to the links ballom gave, they came from a generic tub of parts, which makes sense. Thanks for the help. Now if you'll excuse me, I have an elephant to MOC.
  3. So I have been extensively sorting my collection over the last year, and a while back I found this odd pair of eyes printed on 1x1 bricks. I can't seem to find anything about them. Anyone know where these came from? My first thought was that they were mega block or something, but they are lego, it says so on the studs.
  4. Personally, I love the dark orange, and the bright neon green is a lot better than I thought. My main issues with Pohatu are the over use of silver (a different secondary color would be nice, maybe vardy tan?), lack of bulk or anything to make him anything other than a generic toa build, and the size of the weapons. I like the boomarangs, but they are a bit too big for my liking.
  5. Meanwhile, I'm just sitting here waiting for them to accidentally release the summer animations.
  6. Dem wings doe. I wonder how much those will be available for on the secondary market. I hope lego sticks with this wing design, it is so much better than the old one.
  7. REPRODUCTION IN GEN 2 CONFIRMED I must question why the protector of fire knows Tahu's mom. Youtube subtitles never dissapoint.
  8. ...It has been nearly three years since my last terrible comic. Perhaps I should consider updating my signature.
  9. IC: Charlinia: 2 points Charlinia is stabbed by unit, (-1) wenches herself free, then pushes unit away with a fist of magma, and fishers away with a telekinetic push. Spotting Rehkkur coming for her as well, she backs up to the crater, and lifts up a 30 foot wave of lava, attempting to engulf all three of her foes. 15/20
  10. Also, I just figured out why a dead ninja was supporting my rng vote in NinjagoMafia.
  11. I'm confident that this is not only possible, but the most likely thing. A dragon mauling would be a good candidate for Ehks' death. On an unrelated note, thanks a lot.
  12. As I read the final scene, I momentarily thought I was actually some sort of sleeper agent. To my credit, I voted for Fishers before Doorman posted his triangle scheme. I had planned to also vote for fishers the day prior, but I didn't get around to it. With the consistency of the secret role killings, I was pretty sure it was an active player, so I pretty much voted for people who mentioned they voted in the pm. Regardless, it was a fun game. Congrats fisher!
  13. Sounds good, though maybe raise the health to 3, as stone smash seems to be the only attack to actually do one damage.
  14. IC: Charlinia: 2 points Deflecting the fire with a burst of magma, Charlinia spots Fishers coming for her, and she engages, swinging her mace, and redirecting nearby falling magma to Fishers. 16/20
  15. Your username: Toa Chuck Species: Toa of Fire Abilities: [Mask of Summoning]: Summon a Rahi with 2 Attack and 3 Life. It may attack in the turn you summon it. This Rahi lives until it is killed. Add it to the list of players (and give it a cool name). [Fire Blast]: Deal 3 damage to target player. [Fire Nova (ultimate)]: You may only use this ability once in a game. Deal 10 damage to every player. Starting attack: 2 Starting health: 20 Quick question, can the mask of summoning create multiple rahi over several turns?
  16. I was using Chameleon and advancing slowly. I don't think you would have been able to see me yet, at least at the distance I was at. ~Unit#phntk#1 OOC: changed accordingly.
  17. IC: Charlinia: 2 points Charlinia finishes forming the wave when she is hit by 0579,(-1) then sees him run away from the lava. Noting the ineffectiveness of the initial wave, Charlinia surges power down into the volcano's heart, forcing an eruption! Ash, lava, and rocks start raining from the sky, accompanied by an even bigger wave of magma. She waits at the edge of the crater, looking for an opportunity. 16/20
  18. IC: Charlinia: 2 points Reaching the crater, Charlina reaches out with her powers, causing a large wave of magma to emerge from the volcano and flow down the full circumference. 17/20
  19. IC: Charlinia: 2 points Now running back towards the volcanic summit, Charlina conjures several magma walls to redirect the water away from her, and uses her mask to send the blades back towards their owner, along with several volcanic rocks. 17/20
  20. IC: Charlinia: 2 points Seeing Bastigan vanish again, Charlinia quickly threw up a sphere of magma around herself to protect from Bastigan's sneak attack, only for it to defend against 0579's water jets. Charlinia retreats back to the crater from where she launches more lava balls at Bastigan and 0579. 17/20
  21. IC: Charlinia: 1 point Charlinia deflects the blade with her mace, and is about to strike o573 when she is suddenly shot in the back. (-1) Adapting her swing, she finishes swinging at 0573 as she turns around and fires a wave of molten rock at Bastigan. 17/20
  22. IC: Charlinia: 0 points Charlinia suddenly found herself unable to move, but noticed something flying at her out of the corner of her eyes. Once unfrozen, she manged to just barely dodge one of the blades, but not both. (-1) Deciding that the defensive approach wasn't working, she launched a flurry of magma balls at 0579, then charged, whirling her mace in front of her. 18/20
