Toa of Art, better known as ToA, is one of the most influential, iconic and incredible artists ever to call themself a BZPower Member. Although he only produced art sporadically, his career spanned nearly four years, and he was already influencing a generation of artists back when nobody had heard of Rahi Zaku and the Bohrok-Kal seemed like a distant fantasy. ToA is arguably the first artist to truly anthromorphize Bionicle characters. (Some may bestow this honor on legendary Bionicle comic artist Carlos D’anda, who influenced ToA greatly, but D’anda only added slight realistic details and deviated very little from original set designs.) He kept to a setlike style but gave his characters humanlike features such as facial expressions, fluid movement and hands. ToA can be said to have influenced the greatest artists of each wave of Bionicle Art, and the work of artistic geniuses such as Nikira, Rahi Zaku and Jaligenius all bear traces of ToA’s work. One could call him the Muddy Waters or Robert Johnson of Bionicle art. Although his heyday was between late 2002 and mid-2003, he has popped his head up for art occasionally since then, most notably 2004’s Toa Lhikan and 2006’s Matoro Inika. He remains a massive influence on Bionicle Art.

I just got Rickrolled so hard. On a highly related topic: If you're ever so mad at somebody that this ( ) is worthless, this ( ) just doesn't cut it, and this is insufficient, use this.

A side project. The sprite on the right is the old one (I hope you could kind of tell ) and the left one is a revamp. I'm glad to know that I've improved a little from the olden days. Oh, and hue-shifting is very fun. On another note, last college final was Wednesday! It was linguistics, so it wasn't all that hyper-stressful. And now I'm free to do what I will for the three+ weeks of Christmas break. We're planning to take a trip up to the Grand Canyon with some relatives around New Years. There will be snow (you know--that white stuff that falls out of the sky? It's like so weird!). I've been to the Grand Canyon once before when I was around seven years old. My only memory is a long rusty railing and a concrete observation point. I'm told this is because I was restricted from *cough* "exploring" after trying to climb over said railing and giving my parents gray hair. Ah, memories. JRRT

Or never took advantage of free painting programs for some odd reason: http://www.pixlr.com/app/ It not bad for an online flash application. Although the resize function is not as great in quality compared to Photoshop and such, it's good enough for a quick resize. Because I'm not particularly fond of waiting to load extremely large images (ie: 1200x1200 and beyond ) in the artwork section, and having it auto-resized (by the forums) to something I can't recognize.

Is really sore. I got my Wacom today and its going to take some time getting use to. It is a lot different than a mouse but interesting. The movements are different but quick and my hand writing is worse on it. It might make a difference if I was setting at a proper desk and not hunched over on my bed. I don’t have room for a desk so I’ll have to figure something out or I’ll be having a sore arm all the time.
