The Kid hears somethin' in the rubble. He raises his trusty hammer, ready for whatever will come. Almost ready, that is. Before he can react, it's right on top of him, knocking him to the ground. Ah, it's just a little Squirt. Bastion is my favorite game. It has a great story, great music, and just an amazing aesthetic. Really, if you have no idea what I'm talking about, you should look it up. So, I took this contest as a chance to show my love for the game and made what has to be the most adorable enemy in all of gamedom: the Squirt. He may look cute now, but just wait until he gets older. ^ Entry Pic ^ After I got that entry picture, my pieces finally arrived to build a better base, so the rest of the pictures have that base. I did stay within the 75% Technic/Bionicle/Hero Factory limit (though it is like 80%), and it looks a lot better. Front Side Back I'm so glad I got that Podracer set from a few years ago for the transparent Technic liftarms. Skeleton Though I don't usually build sculpture MOCs, I'm really proud of how solid this guy is. He's relatively simple, but very compact and sturdy. The best feature is, with all the feet and treads on the head, I could very easily pop a few pieces open, mess around inside to add a few connections, then pop it all back together. It really helped make everything go faster. And reference image (not the actual one I used, but you get the idea) Flickr Set Also has some shots of the base. If you're into that sort of thing. And I'm finally using my Flickr account! So, yeah. Enjoy his adorableness. He'll be sitting on my desk for the next few weeks so I can stroke him fondly when I'm alone. For round 3 of the Self Moc-off Tournament 2014, Smooth Jazz Vs. Chro. The theme for the round was to build your opponent's self-moc in the theme of Greek/Roman/Norse. I chose Jupiter, the Roman god of thunder. Credit for the shoulder armor design goes to Chro. (Click the image to view the Mocpages gallery.) Feedback appreciated.

GD Contest 2.22: Tohu Is (Not) Pleased Contrary to popular belief, our site's figurehead and supreme overlord has been long suffering from a sort of ennui. Why is Tohu's mood so gray? Look how boring that profile is. Might as well be some generic IPB Admin. This is where you come in. The Goal: Your job is to come up with an avatar and a signature for Hapori Tohu - text, images, banners, anything. The only restrictions are those imposed by BZPower's Signature & Avatar Guidelines. For a summary, see below. The When: The entry period will last from Friday, March 7th, until the 28th of the month. That should give you a good three weeks to enter. Voting will be held through polls. Voting schedule to be determined! The Why: Because your signature and avatar will become a part of Tohu's identity, of course. I've run contests before, but since I want to spread my outreach for this contest, I have decided to post this one here. So, without further ado, let me introduce the... This new contest is being run in conjunction with a current animation project, titled Project U! So, what is this contest, you may ask? Well, read on to find out! Official Rules 1. You will create a new and original character and cast them into one of the four Nexus Force factions: Sentinels, Assembly, Venture League, or Paradox.2. While the character is restricted to one of the four factions, they are not restricted to the classes of each faction (ex. A Sentinel character doesn't have to be a knight, samurai, or space marine).3. You will submit a five-point turnaround of one and only one character (unless it is important for the character to have a maximum of one companion). In addition to this, you will also submit details that tell the character’s name, age, personality traits, and any other important information. 4. When submitting a character design, there is no restriction on the medium used. You may use actual LEGO pieces, LDraw, LEGO Digital Designer, pencil and paper, pen and ink, paint, digital paint, vector drawing, 3D Max, Autodesk Maya, etc.5. You will not be restricted to actual LEGO pieces (as the characters in LEGO Universe were not). However, if you want to be more inventive, it is recommended that these pieces are modeled after or inspired by pieces that can be bought from gray market vendors (Brickarms, BrickForge, etc.).6. Mustache Maniacs Film Co. staff members cannot participate in this contest. 7. All entries MUST be accepted by June 30, 2014. 8. To submit your entry for this contest, Make a reply in the thread for the contest that contains a character description and all of the required images, then make the post live. The android Skakdi who wants to annihilate Zakaz was created long ago by Spiriah, tampering with an old discarded Artahkan robot, to wipe away all traces of his own mistake. Piticar's unfailing iron rage is his greatest weapon, though he also possesses impact vision, adaptability and kinetic absorption powers, limited invulnerability, and gravity manipulation abilities. Not my usual format - only one photo - but hopefully it can display the MOC effectively. Apparently it did, because it won the January flickr contest. Thanks to everyone who voted for Piticar. Feedback is appreciated.

Aaaaah it's the LEGO MOVIE (comedy contest results)! After a slightly longer-than-expected period of voting, we have a winner for our Caveat Scriptor contest! Congratulations to Peabody Sam, whose winning entry went head-to-head and came out on top! Please PM Black Six for more information about claiming your prize. That said, I'd be remiss not to specially recognize Lyichir as well, whose entry tied Peabody's in the first round, forcing a tiebreaker which was just as neck-and-neck. While there's only one winner in this contest, you went the distance and then some. And finally, one last thank-you to both our other entrants and everyone who took the time to vote! Bionicle RPG Forum Text-Based RPG Contest 30 After a slight hiatus, the Bionicle RPG contest has returned! After taking some feedback into consideration, we've made some tweaks to the rules. The big change is that there will be three contests per year now instead of four. Look for the other changes in bold text below. Aside from that, there's no theme for this contest, to submit anything you'd like! Here's how these contests work: The contest will be run every four (4) months, or three (3) times a year.All members are welcome to enter the contest.Each member can only enter one (1) Text-based RPG entry.The only exception to this is that BZPRPG and RPG Contest staff will not be permitted to make entries.There will be three winners selected in every contest.The winners will be the three RPGs with the most votes after one or more rounds of voting (depending on the number of entries).Whether or not a given RPG wins or not, it will be allowed to run in future contests, with the below conditions and restrictions.For and RPG that lost a contest, the creator must make an attempt to alter and improve their entry before entering it in the next contest.If an RPG has won four (4) consecutive contests that it has entered, it can not enter the next four contests. It does not, however, have to be altered before being entered again after its break, although the creator can do so if they desire to.Example: A RPG wins two contests in a row. It is not entered in the next contest. It is entered and wins the fourth and fifth contests. At this point it cannot be entered into the next four contests.Other restrictions as a result of other rules or administrative action may prevent a member from submitting an RPG.At the end of the four-month interval between contests, if an active RPG does not win again, it will be closed.If a former winner wins again at a later date, the creator of the RPG can choose to continue in the old topic where they left off or start over again in a new topic.If the creator or members of a winning RPG break the RPG forum rules, that RPG will be closed.The next runner-up from the previous contest will be allowed to run for the remainder of the term.The offending RPG will not be allowed to participate in the next contest.If a winning RPG has no new posts for three weeks, that RPG will be closed.The next runner-up from the previous contest will be allowed to run for the remainder of the term.TBRPG Entries The following is what determines a Text-Based RPG entry. The creator of each entry must provide at least: A brief introduction to the RPG.A description of the setting - the time and place the events occur.A history of what has happened leading up to the current situation.The characters and creatures involved. Does this take place in the canonical Bionicle Universe, or is this your own island with its own heroes and villains?A description on how you plan to further to story.Does it follow the actual Bionicle story or take place in a setting of your own creation?Is there an outline on where you plan for it go?Will the players be allowed to choose the direction the story takes?Is there an ultimate goal or quest, or is it merely a world for members to inhabit?Requirements for those wishing to participate in your RPG.Will members be taking the role of existing characters or characters you have created?Can they make their own characters? If so, what sort of restrictions will be placed on them?What sort of equipment, masks, stats, etc will members get when they begin?Rules determining how players will interact with the environment and other characters.How will the winner of battles be determined?How will members buy and upgrade their equipment?Will members level up? How will they gain experience?The above information can be submitted however the creator prefers. It does not have to be delineated in this way, as long as it is all there. Contest Procedures Here is the format the contest will operate under: Members will have approximately three weeks to draft and submit entries.Entries will be posted in the Contest Submission thread. Any entries posted elsewhere or PMed will be disregarded.At the end of this period, no further entries will be accepted.The entries will be grouped into as few polls as possible for the initial round of voting.Each round of voting will last for two to three days (48-72 hours).The format of subsequent rounds of voting will be determined depending on the number of entries.The three entries with the most votes in the final round of voting will be declared the winners.Any questions can be posted in the Contest Rules Thread or PMed to Contest Host Black Six. NOTE - All current TBRPGs must be submitted as entries if they wish to continue running. Entries can be SUBMITTED from now until 11:59 PM EST on Wednesday, January 22nd. You can review other entries and discuss the reviews in the Review Topic.

One more poll! Answer Category 3: "What you're seeing is intended. However, please refrain from entering any value greater than '5.'" Entries: 1. I logged onto BZP this morning and noticed a little text entry field and the words "Tentacles! How many would you like?" at the bottom of the main forum page. I entered "3" and 3 yellow tentacles started wriggling and reaching up from the bottom of the page. They follow me through the site. Is this some sort of new gimmick to attract members? 2. So when I was editing my profile, I found a field marked "Years I have been a BIONICLE fan:," for which I entered "11." However, when I clicked "Save Changes," an error message popped up saying "Try again, nerd!" with the "Years I have been a BIONICLE fan:" field, where I entered "11" again. But the same error message popped up again! I'm really confused and a little insulted.

Aaaaah it's the LEGO MOVIE! And that means it's time for a contest! Gather your keyboards, because it's time to write. What: Your task is to write a script. Envision the LEGO Movie in your head. Now, create a scene anywhere in the movie. Fiddle with it; work it out. What are the characters saying? What is going on around them; what is the scene? Yo this is like your chance to be Sophocles or Shakespeare or something: Act X scene y. That is what you're going to be writing. (Please note that entries should not be Greek or other sorts of tragedies.) Example: Scene: At night, the streets are empty. Two figures: short, plastic. The one on the left speaks slowly. The one on the right, silent. EMMET: And that is why it must be done. It's all on the line. OTHER FIGURE: ... EMMET turns around. EMMET: Tonight, we dine at Denny's. Dramatic music starts in a sudden crescendo. When: So, you have about three weeks to come up with your entry. Let's say the entry period ends January 18th, okay? Voting will be held through polls. Hey y'all! Haven't posted here in eons. *Dusts off computer* Anyways, here's a topic with my entries to the Save the Alien Hunters Space-themed Contest. I have a total of two entries, and they're both LDD-made. I've recently been practicing with LDD, and I think it does show on these MOC's. I've managed to develop somewhat of a style, with weird construction angles' being its defining point. Along with the entry pics is a small descriptive paragraph of each MOC. Kinda like the descriptions you get with most LEGOTM sets nowadays. Entry 1: Ballad's Muscle Machine "Nothing says muscle quite like a heavily-armed, and armored, space-mech with a giant fist, arm-mounted plasma cannon and turret-mounted rotary blaster with flick-fire missiles. And to top it all off, a tri-nozzle jet engine to catapult the giant battle machine into the depths of space! Your enemies won't realise what's coming, until Burt Ballad has taken them all out!" Okay, so recently I started getting these strange PMs without usernames however that's not the strange part. The strange part is what all the messages said. All of them said "Reality is a lie, we all think we live in a free society. We don't. The world is really controlled by Black Six, he controls everything from governments to schools. Don't believe us? This is the proof. You must help us." The sentence "This is the proof" is a link to some part of BZPower I never knew of before. However I'm not sure if I should click it because it looks like it is only meant to be accessed by admins (part of the url says "admin_only"). Should I go ahead and click it just to see what the fuss is? 2. Recently I saw a thing on the board index called "Evil Controversial Fun" which forum description was "Here you can talk about stuff not allowed in the BZPower rules and guidelines." There's a popup that comes up that asks me whether I want access to this forum. Should I say yes? 3. A big red button Reads: "click for admin power" But should I click it? 4. So, some random guy just sent me a selfie of his/herself, via PM. I couldn't tell their gender, because they were wearing a suit of bomb-disposal armor. The text below read, "QUIT LOOKING YOU CREEP", and below that, a link that said, "Continue Looking". What should I do? 5. So I was trying to change my Display Name, and I typed in "Black Six's Yes-Man." When I clicked "Save Changes," however, a popup appeared saying "I am Black Six. Pray to me for that display name, then you can have it." and there was a button on it that just said "I refuse." I'll try to post a comment in the blogs and it chuckles at me. It has a little mouth and it makes chuckling sounds. Kinda like a muffled hmp-hmp-hmp. Real deep. Kinda like Morgan Freeman. But less voice-dripping-in-honey and more condescending-laugh-of-a-potentially-victorious-Batman-villian. But when I start typing, it starts criticizing what I write in the voice of Jim Carrey as The Mask. It makes me really insecure. It says stuff like "You're gonna post thaaaaat? Well, if you wanna, then go right ahead, Mister!" It also sings me to sleep with salsa music, but I assume that's a standard perk of being OBZPC. Is there any way to stop it? 2. So I just became an OBZPC. Unfortunately, not everybody on this website is bowing before me and obeying my every whim. How can I fix this? 3. When I first logged in as an OBZPC I was excited to finally see a Copper Komau next to my proto bar. However, instead of the Komau, there was an Infected Hau, and all the posts read "I am nothing."Hapori's gone too, replaced with the same Hau. Is this... normal? 4. After hacking BZPower to increase my proto, I got a legitimate proto boost for reporting a news story and was notified that I became an OBZPC. However, now my username and usergroup are pink instead of orange. Is this a glitch, and can it be fixed? 5. I assumed I was the 1 billionth person to get OBZPC or something, and this was my reward. But when I PM'd an admin to thank them for the reward, they said they had no idea what I was talking about! I came across a question about how many off-brand building blocks sets I own. There's this dangerous looking guy I keep seeing peeking through my window and I'm pretty sure he works for LEGO. I want to be honest, but I'm a little scared at what will happen, any ideas? 2. Everyone keeps making math jokes based at me. The latest was this: "Your IQ is X+-5=0. What is X?" What do? 3. This morning I got a message when I attempted to access my profile. It said "Ring, ring, ring, those Christmas Bells" and had a little pull down menu of numbers 1-10, and it played a song with the number of bells you selected. It was really cute, but when I tried to make it play a song with 7 bells, I got an error message that said "NO. BAD MEMBER." and was logged out, and I couldn't log back in for the next 6 hours. When I finally did log in, I was greeted by a little message at the top of the forums that said "Now be on your best behavior. Remember, Santa's watching you." What's up with the site? 4. I logged onto BZP this morning and noticed a little text entry field and the words "Tentacles! How many would you like?" at the bottom of the main forum page. I entered "3" and 3 yellow tentacles started wriggling and reaching up from the bottom of the page. They follow me through the site. Is this some sort of new gimmick to attract members? 5. I was in COT when I saw a topic for Megabloks. I tried to click on it, but a pop-up asking how much I liked Megabloks on a scale of 1 to 10 appeared. Is something wrong with my account? 6. So when I was editing my profile, I found a field marked "Years I have been a BIONICLE fan:," for which I entered "11." However, when I clicked "Save Changes," an error message popped up saying "Try again, nerd!" with the "Years I have been a BIONICLE fan:" field, where I entered "11" again. But the same error message popped up again! I'm really confused and a little insulted. 7. This never happened before, but when I try to enter "Batman" in my Awesomeness Rating profile field, a dialog box pops up warning me to enter a value between "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet" and "Black Six". Is this a bug?

I was curious, like most would be, and navigated over to the site. I found the same image of Pinkie Pie on the site! So I clicked the image hoping to get a legitimate download for once. Instead, it opened up a new tab with a huge button that said, "Click me for Pinkie Pie!" Man, I really want to click it, but what should I do?

It worked for a while, but somehow I managed to open up a portal into BZpower's mainframe. I went through the portal and there was this big red button in front of me. What do? 4. So, some random guy just sent me a selfie of his/herself, via PM. I couldn't tell their gender, because they were wearing a suit of bomb-disposal armor. So, I recently saw a topic for Mega Bloks on on this odd website called "BZPower," and I was trying to Like it, but every time I clicked the Like button, a pop-up appeared saying "Access Denied." Why is this happening? 8. Okay, so recently I started getting these strange PMs without usernames however that's not the strange part. The strange part is what all the messages said. All of them said "Reality is a lie, we all think we live in a free society. We don't. The world is really controlled by Black Six, he controls everything from governments to schools. Don't believe us? This is the proof. You must help us." The sentence "This is the proof" is a link to some part of BZPower I never knew of before. However I'm not sure if I should click it because it looks like it is only meant to be accessed by admins (part of the url says "admin_only"). Should I go ahead and click it just to see what the fuss is? 9.
