Toy Fair 2014: Licensing & Booth

Recommended Posts

I'll third the expression of thanks and gratitude toward the staff- another great Toy Fair coverage, as usual. ^_^

Oh yeah, and I really want that Princess Unikitty Keychain. I think she'd look great hanging out next to Johnny Thunder on my keys.

Thanks so much for covering the external licensing in such depth. It's something that occasionally gets left out of LEGO coverage at Toy Fair.

Glad to see we're getting a lot of LEGO Movie merchandise, including merch focused on Benny and Unikitty. That Unikitty notebook is fantastic — the front shows Unikitty and "Every idea is a good idea!", and the back shows Angry Kitty and the qualifier "Except the 'not happy' ones!" I believe there's also a Benny notebook coming later in the year. The LEGO Group has really got a great marketing presence these days, with lots of LEGO-compatible desk accessories.

The booth also looks fantastic. I imagine it was handled by Creatacor, which has been designing exhibit spaces for The LEGO Group for several years now. I like the brick-built LEGO Movie models and Friends models, the latter of which are a reminder of all the Nougat/Light Nougat (can't tell which) basic bricks that we common fans may never have. The giant Mixels, Ninjago, and LEGO Movie graphics are also fantastic.
