Hapori Tohu
Today's entries in the Turaga Files come from 2002, the year of the Bohrok. Head over to the Faber Files and check out Unboxing the Legend Exhibit 012 and 013 and Exhibit 014-017 to learn a little bit more about the design behind the swarms beneath Mata Nui. Christian Faber shares some insight into the design of the Bohrok symbol and the overall mood they were trying to achieve. While most of the artwork isn't new, it's interesting to hear from the source how and why it was developed. Toa Smoke Monster
I recall seeing a lot of this artwork back when the Bohrok line was released. It's cool reading about some of the ideas that were used to help make them. It's a shame that the music for the videos he mentioned here is copyrighted. I would really like to see them. 2Tie
Has anyone noticed the source date for these two updates are June 2002? That seems to be a little late, especially if the VHS was to try to sell LEGO on the idea... socketball
There's a link to a youtube video in the comments of the article featuring the scarab emblem that might be the VHS. Pretty interesting stuff. Quote You can find all of my mocs, custom parts, and other lego-related stuff at Flickr, Instagram, or Brickshelf. 2Tie
If the video in the comments is the one Faber speaks of, then BZP staff may already have it:http://bzpower.com/story.php?ID=287 specifically mentions a CD and has a still that matches the video, but the binder in http://bzpower.com/story.php?ID=1237 states a "video and CD", plus the wording of the binder matches up with some of the video's dialogue. The concept of introducing a Bohrok in a crystal matches up with the cutscenes from the cancelled PC game as well... Nidhiki of the Shadows
Oh man. I always loved the Bohrok keyart. So mysterious, menacing, and aesthetically pleasing. Excellent shots that really entice the reader to learn more about the Krana and Bohrok in general. Man is a genius. -NotS
