MrSciFiGuy
I was always a fan of the canisters, because of the ease of storage and the interesting art they might have. I plan on keeping the boxes G2 has, but I know those will become more easily damaged in time. But I understand that the packaging nowadays is a factor of cost. I stumbled across this awesome art of Canister Packaging for G2, and though it is very stylized I think it really makes the set pop and harkens back to classic Bionicle when you would see rows of canisters on the shelf. Dorek
This is actually a really neat concept. Not a huge fan of the ones we ended up with, although the flimsiness was part of it. Very cool project for those guys to have tackled. Quote BS01's Ambassador (Like us, Follow us)
Disciple
Very cool. I could easily see these canisters lining the toy aisle shelves in lieu of the official packing those sets received. I like that they are a blend of old and new-- the familiar tube shape is there, but this time it's made of eco-friendly packaging. Wonder if I could have ever brought myself to throw these canisters away... Edited July 8, 2016 by Disciple
Akuna Toa of Sonics
It's hard to believe that this canister design is actually made of paper. I mean, these are just pictures, but the sturdiness looks comparable to that of plastic canisters. The way that the parts are separated is also a really good idea as a step up from the traditional separation by only small plastic bags. This canister idea definitely blows the weird hexagonal prisms we have now out of the water.
