Illuminatus Posted May 22, 2017 Posted May 22, 2017 I've wanted to do this for years. I give you the first complete collection of BIONICLE promo CDs available for download, soon to be hosted on BMP. Inside the archive you will find a virtual image file for every single CD available to the general public since 2001, complete with high-quality scans. Also included is a comprehensive list of the entire collection. The only such physical collection of CDs now belongs to Toa Lhikan Hordika. He is a single CD away from owning the first complete set of 35 CDs; check my signature for more details on the one missing CD. You may need a RAR archiving application to access the files. Enjoy. 9 Quote
Toatapio Nuva Posted May 22, 2017 Posted May 22, 2017 I thought all the CDs were already available on BMP. Which ones are new? Quote My BZPRPG profiles - Viima, Lai Lai Kirgan, Jarkale, Hile, Tuli + Kavala, Khervos, Thira
Illuminatus Posted May 22, 2017 Author Posted May 22, 2017 About a third to half of the full archive is missing from BMP, primarily those from 2001 and 2002. The Toa Metru CDs on BMP are also compressed web editions—without animations and with fewer language options. 2 Quote
Planetperson Posted May 22, 2017 Posted May 22, 2017 This looks fantastic, I wasn't aware that some of these CDs existed. Thanks for putting this together! emily Posted May 22, 2017 Posted May 22, 2017 Awesome! Never knew about those Heroes demo cds. Didn't get 'em with Lego magazine in the US. Thanks for compiling everything for download. Illuminatus Posted May 22, 2017 Author Posted May 22, 2017 A small tip for anyone who wants to check out all the 2001 CDs: install them in separate partitions if possible, or delete the last one before you install the next. There are subtle differences in the contents that are interesting to observe but the data can become jumbled if all the CDs are installed at once. 1 Quote
Toatapio Nuva Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 I tried downloading the CD's, but after downloading just the 2001 and 2002 rar folders, I got this message: "Access to 'BIONICLE Promo CD Archive' was limited due to high download traffic." And I still can't make it go away, after a day. It tells me to get a premium account. 1 Quote My BZPRPG profiles - Viima, Lai Lai Kirgan, Jarkale, Hile, Tuli + Kavala, Khervos, Thira
Illuminatus Posted June 14, 2017 Author Posted June 14, 2017 I'm sorry about that, I'm using a free account there myself and it looks like downloading is limited to a certain monthly traffic, so it's not your fault. I hope the guys at BMP host the files soon. Quote
Wiriamu Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 I still have a few of the physical CDs...none of which work on my laptop. maletoaofwater Posted June 19, 2017 Posted June 19, 2017 this is awesome - more original bionicle content available online is great. nice work! how did you talk to BMP to get them to post this? i thought their message boards were defunct. Quote
JrMasterModelBuilder Posted June 21, 2017 Posted June 21, 2017 (edited) It took a little while to upload and such, but they have been added to the BMP archive. Those who were unable to download them before should be able to download them from the Promo CD page now. A big thanks to Illuminatus for providing this great content! Illuminatus Posted June 22, 2017 Author Posted June 22, 2017 Glad to see the project come together so nicely. Thanks, JrMasterModelBuilder! The Toa Nuva CD's contents were actually donated to me by Mark of MoD (or RedQuark), so it would be fair to mention him as well. 1 Quote
Toatapio Nuva Posted June 22, 2017 Posted June 22, 2017 Speaking of the Toa Nuva CD, is there any difference between it and the Bohrok Swarms CD? I looked at both, but didn't spot any. Quote My BZPRPG profiles - Viima, Lai Lai Kirgan, Jarkale, Hile, Tuli + Kavala, Khervos, Thira
Illuminatus Posted June 22, 2017 Author Posted June 22, 2017 Try playing the cut scenes for each Toa Mata. Quote

Planetperson Posted July 8, 2017 Posted July 8, 2017 Hi, a couple of technical questions: Is anyone else having trouble running any CD's from 2002 or later (such as the Toa Nuva CD)? I'm using Windows 7, and when I try to run the CD after successfully installing the versions of QuickTime and Macromedia Flash that it comes bundled with, an error pops up saying that QuickTime was not installed correctly. What has worked for you guys? Also, does anyone have tips for extracting files from the .cab files in the Toa Nuva CD? I've tried a couple programs, but they say that the files cannot be opened/are corrupted. Quote July 2009 Comic Scans | MNOLG Soundtrack Official Greg Discussion Weekly Digest | My Lego Network
Alia of AGL Posted December 15, 2017 Posted December 15, 2017 A bit late here, but what's the difference between the two Heroes demo CDs? Quote - Bionicle Fan since 2002 - Former Lego Universe Alpha/Beta Tester - Owner of The AGL Group
Illuminatus Posted December 15, 2017 Author Posted December 15, 2017 One is runnable (thus causing issues on some systems) and the other is installable. Quote
