OOC: thanks for waiting for me GUYSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS IC[Jason Hanlon - Dark Pathway] The robotic looking soldier didn't seem phased by the ghouls that were chattering in and out of his head. Not much phased him. He mostly ignored the banter of his squad mates, and just kept walking at a brisk enough pace to remain at the back. He had not been impressed by the group so far, and he doubted he'd feel comfortable with even Monroe having their backs. A sudden snap tore through the pathway from behind them. Jason stopped and turned, hand already on his machete. He surveyed the blackness behind them, and he narrowed his eyes. This mission had strange written all over it, and the last thing he wanted was for it to be his last.

IC [Orcen, Twilight] "Anytime, but do make your decision quickly... you don't want to be left behind, after all." The Recruiters left, leaving Ronare to think over his situation. [Elsewhere] "I find it extremely creepy how these things tend to be long; I mean, it's suppose to be fast transport, but we still have to walk forever to get to the other end." Monroe glanced over the side, finding only blackness, then looked at the trench coat soldier in the back. "You ok?"

IC[Jason Hanlon - Dark Pathway] "Just heard something." He muttered, and relaxed, then turned and continued following the group with his arms folded, idly wondering what that sound was. It could've just been his imagination, but he doubted that. More likely than anything else was it was just a gag concocted by the magic user. "Xorov's a big place." He said at last, breaking the silence. "Where are we meeting our informant?" OOC: and come to think of it, what time of day is it? twilight means either sundown or sun up IIRC- but it'd be a lot cooler if it was at night :P

IC: Ronare thought a moment, then opened the note, and quickly read over it. What the heck? I can always ditch them if I have to. He walked over to the bartender, and canceled his room, getting his money back. He grabbed his things and put them back onto his horse, then left. He followed the directions as best he could through the crowded city, and soon reached his destination. He looked around for whoever he was supposed to talk to, and made his way over to a pair of official-looking people. ....I hope that's them.

Well, would you just look at that?

OOCIt's night, but we're moving west, so by the time we hit Xorov it'll be an hour or two ahead, so it'll be sunset. The map is big enough that we probably have two or three time zones; I need to figure it out. IC [Dark Pathway, N/A] "A bar called 'The Dead Woman'. A very odd name, seems to me like it'd discourage the female portion of the population from going there." The man shrugged. "He's going be wearing a long robe with a rising sun embroidered on the left sleeve." OOCI'll get to you in a moment, ToA, need to plan out what'll happen.

IC[Jason Hanlon - Dark Pathway] "Affirmative." Hanlon replied, liking this less and less. Unless they could coax him out, he'd be more than useless in any sort of fight that could break out. Sniping in a bar would be a miserable thing to try, and just working with a machete wouldn't get him far. Fortunately he was equipped in state of the art riot armour, which did provide some security.

OOCHoly ****, I just realized, humans are more popular than warlocks! It's amazing :o It's like, genre busting dude. IC [Dark Pathway, N/A] "We're almost there." The magic user was glancing around nervously. "Just another minute." "Let's hope; my shoulder is hurting, and whenever it hurts, that means something is seriously wrong." Monroe un-holstered his crossbow, frowning at the darkness. "The whispering doesn't help any." [Orcen, Twilight] Ronare had found himself at a government building, a small satellite building off of the Imperial district. The two personal at the door were guards, a man and a woman talking to each other about whether or not the local fashions were getting too extreme. When Ronare neared, they stopped, looking at the man. "Can I help you?" The man asked, hand on sword.

IC[Jason Hanlon - Dark Pathway] Jason just grunted in approval, anxious to get this operation underway. He was unsure as to what he made of Orion. He seemed fresh out of training, and didn't look to have too much experience. Then again, with the Emperor ruling as he was, this man could've been top of his class.

Reworked them with Alex's help: Username~ ToACharacter Name~ Roshad GunyeAge~ 23Specialization~ Possession. Roshad is capable of taking over any item, weak willed person, or animal by putting his soul into it. However, it has limitations. It leaves his body completely defenseless. You find it and kill it, he's dead. Second, he's limited to what he's in. Take over an arrow? Well, it's too stiff. He can't really do anything but chill. Take over a bird, sure, fly around. A mop? He can stumble around and move with the little hairs. The last limitation is he must touch whatever he wants to take over, though he can return to his own body at any time. He is capable of sensing what's around him, should what he's taken over not have sensory organs, but this is limited to sight and sound. He is usually accompanied by, or riding in Jerry, the hulking titanium giant created by his partner Caiyre, which he possesses and then rides in for battle. He carries a short sword for combat purposes, and a crossbow.Appearance~ Wears a dark blue hooded jacket with black clothes underneath. His eyes glow yellow, and he has messy black hair. He's fairly small, standing around 5'4".Ability/Trait~ Roshad is an excellent 'driver' for Jerry, and a good marksman with his crossbow. He's very agile, and when forced to fight on the ground, uses flips, rolls, and dodges to confuse his opponents.Bio~ Roshad has lived a fairly average Mage life, and has trained in possesion magic since he was young. He and his partners, Boru and Cairye, became friends while still training. Later, they formed themselves into an elite fighting unit, the Warriors Three. Cairye created Jerry a few years back, and the golem has since become Roshad's favored weapon, using his powers to manipulate him. Jerry is about 15 feet tall, and is a compact humanoid. When not in use, he crouches into a ball of sorts until activated. Roshad's seat is located behind Jerry's 'head'. He has no special abilities other than great strength and durability. He is made from solid metal. Roshad usually takes him over for combat purposes. Username~ ToACharacter Name~ Cairye BuotanenAge~ 25Specialization~ Metals. Cairye can manipulate metal, allowing him to reshape it with his hands, or repair weapons. The only weapons he uses are a sword which looks like this on a chain attached to a gauntlet on his wrist, and small metal 'stones' that stick to his wrists. He can shape these into throwable knives, or form them into brass knuckles, or really anything he needs. He also has a stick of iron on him at all times.Appearance~ Cairye has steel grey eyes, and silver messy hair. He dresses in all black, with leather armor, and a few metal plates over his chest, abdomen, and wrists. He's of medium height, with a lithe, but powerful build.Ability/Trait~ Cairye is a skilled blacksmith, able to create masterful weapons, as well as a designer, designing Roshad's golem to be immovable when not active, but to have a wide range of motion and be very easy to manipulate when magic is applied. He's also an adept fighter, and has very good aim with throwing weapons.Bio~ Cairye grew up like most Warlocks, undergoing heavy training in his specialization, and eventually joining, along with his two closest friends, to become the Warriors Three. They are one of the Warlocks' greatest fighting teams, and complement each other very well. Username~ ToACharacter Name~ Borunar Thrassguid, or Boru, for short.Age~ 26Specialization~ Gravity manipulation. At this level, he's capable of applying twenty-five pounds of gravity or antigravity to any object, including himself. This doubles every level. His eyes glow and his hands have a purple aura when his abilities are active.Appearance~ Shoulder length black hair, purple eyes, and black clothes, covered by a suit of silver armor. He's 6'5" and very thickly built. He carries a war hammer, and a special weapon formed for him by Cairye. It consists of an extremely dense metal ball the size of a grapefruit on a leather strap. The idea is, he gives it as much antigravity as possible, hurls it high into the air, then makes it very heavy and lets it drop. The kinetic energy then creates a small, concussive explosion. He's gotten fairly accurate with it.Ability/Trait~ Boru is an excellent fighter, and fighting is his main specialization. He's also very strong.Bio~ Boru doesn't talk much about his past, but one can assume there's reasons for it. He hates humans with a passion, seeing them as pests to be crushed an enslaved. He met his two partners a few years ago, when he moved to Mox to train under a master of gravity magic who lived there. They became close, and joined together as the Warriors Three, taking on especially dangerous missions and playing off each other's strengths. They fight for the warlocks, doing whatever they can to serve their nation.

IC [Dark Pathway, N/A] The team spent another minute in the darkness of the void, but managed to get through it in one piece and exited to the other side, in a secluded alleyway. Monroe looked at everyone, sighing. "We're in Xorov, and we have military uniforms. Well, except you soldier. Thankfully, I do come prepared for this. Karin, I hope you have some sort of cloak packed in; you too, Orwin. Imperial troops don't fair well here; so either you have a cloak on you or you go walking around without your shirt on. The pants really don't have any markings so you're spared that." "And what of me?" The magic user asked. "You? You stay here. Full black clothes in Xorov? That'll draw attention faster than anything else." Monroe pulled his cloak out, pulling the hood around his head and a dust filter over his mouth. "Remember, this is a desert city. Dust is formidable, so try to get something to cover your mouth. Also, there isn't really law here; so keep your heads down, try not to look at anyone funny, and if you must, kill people swiftly; don't show off." [Orcen, Night] The guard nodded, opening the door. "Fourth floor, room eighteen." OOCRoshad~Remove the part about warlock military; there is no formal warlock military. Other than that, it seems ok.Cairye~See above.Buro~Me and Koth decided that we'll nerf it in half -so starting as twenty five now-, and the mass behind the force will be your own. You require the mass behind the force thanks to Newton's laws.

IC: The hunter nodded, and asked one of the guards to keep an eye on his horse. He tied it to a nearby post, and entered the building. There was nothing incredibly strange inside, but the halls were made completely of some kind of metal, titanium he guessed. He wasn't that good with metals. He walked over to the stairs, and ascended three flights to reach the fourth floor. He passed the numbered doors until he reached one that was unadorned save for a large "18" painted onto it. He knocked on the door, then waited.

-==IC: Orion==- A bead of sweat ran down the back of Orion's head, as the commander said his name wrong, but he never commented on that."I have a cloak." Orion stated, as he pulled it out of a bag he had brought along prior to arriving in the courtyard, and put the cloak on, and used part of the front as a shield against the dust, as he moved forward. OOC: So since she's not in full combat attire, she's carrying a soft leather pack rather than the rigid load-bearing rig, though given her specialisation type, she'd probably opt to carry this most of the time anyway.IC: Karin pulled her dark blue cloak out of her pack and pulled it on over her uniform. She then retrieved a square grey cloth out of an interior pocket and wrapped it around her lower face. She tapped her dagger to make sure she still had it and nodded at the Commander, confirming that she was ready to move.

IC [Orcen, Night] The room Ronare entered was a break room, some guards sitting around a table holding cards. They glanced over at him, pausing their game as their CO stood up. "What's your business here?" He asked. [Xorov, Sunset] "Let's move out team." They moved into the streets, walking slowly through them. Other inhabitants walked equally slow, almost all wrapped up in cloaks and robes. Some watched the team hesitantly, but none commented. They reached the bar in no time, though, Monroe looked around in the room, then saw who he was searching for. Motioning for Jason and Orion to stay by the door to keep him from running, Monroe and Karin came up next to the informant. "Yesterday?" Monroe asked. "Only tomorrow." The man relaxed. "You need information?" "I do; you said you had information on something going on in Mox?" "There is an attack going on right now, by unknown forces. The warlocks are falling, and evacuating to Arhtok. They are opening the Books of Prophecy." "Those dusty tomes?" Monroe raised an eyebrow. "How is that relevant?" "You know what they are, if you're an officer; you would of studied their history. The Makers themselves left those books behind; when they open, that'll signal the end of the world. It is a dark thing." Yesterday shrugged. "Now, my payment." "For that? We could of heard that within a week from spies." Monroe shook his head, tossing a bag to the warlock. "But a deal is a deal, even if we got screwed. Thousand gold pieces; don't spend it all at once." "Thank you. Now, you'll excuse me, but I have to be certain I'm not... followed." The warlock stood up, giving a low whistle. Two thugs sitting in the corner suddenly bolted up, smashing someone's head into the wall. Within seconds chaos had broke out, the warlock running through the back entrance, Monroe ducking as knives threw through the air. "**** you to ****, you friend!" Monroe darted towards the door, making a break from the chaos. OOCOff to Minecraft playing; not going be very active.

-==IC: Orion==- Orion frowned, as he kept an eye on the situation. He would only act if someone actually attempted to attack the others, but at the same time, didn't want anything to happen that could damage the team, and only walked out of the bar after the rest of the team was out.

IC: Rather than risk getting caught up in the fight by bolting through it, Karin moved to the closest side wall and worked her way forward until she came to a window—the frame anyway: the window had already been smashed open—that opened to an alleyway. She was climbing through when a drink glass came sailing through the air and hit her square on the back, knocking her head-over-heels onto the street below. Karin pulled herself to her feet among the bits of the shattered glass. With the exterior wall as support she made her way around to the front of the building where she found the other three ready to leave.
