Was Van Buren the guy who established the First National Bank?

Nope, that was Jackson.

I thought he established the Second Bank. Maybe it was Monroe or someonewho did the first.

I used to draw rather inaccurate stick-figure portraits of Martin Van Buren - portraits that honestly looked like a cross between Van Buren, Einstein, and the Troll Face - on all of my erasers, along with text reading "VAN BUREN" and "O.K."

XD, the First National Bank was established by Hamilton. Jackson was the one who brought down the Second National Bank. Van Buren was President during the Panic of 1837.

 

 

But since those were all past regenerations of his, it was the same guy doing that all along!
