Coffee Mug

Posted by DeeVee , in Life, MOCs Feb 09 2013 · 431 views

MOC COFFEE!
We did a secret santa thing at work, and one of my supervisors rigged it so I'd get her name, because she wanted me to build her a gift out of LEGO. So, I made her a coffee mug (since we work at Starbucks, you see). It took awhile, mostly because I had to wait for two Bricklink orders in order to finish it.

Anyway, this is it:

It looks cool but can you use it as a real coffee mug?

I don't see any Bionicle parts there, sir. Also, any pictures of the inside/bottom?

I would be super-excited to get a secret Santa gift like this.

Pat you are amazing and I love you.  Also how many contests do I have to rig to get a LEGO coffee mug?

Pretty awesome build, sadly it isn't functional.

Of course not! It's made out of LEGO.

Nah. The bottom and inside isn't very interesting!

Pretty awesome build, sadly it isn't functional.

Even without gaps, it wouldn't be functional because coffee is hot and LEGO is plastic. Not a good mix!

Great job 10/10 KUTGW the only suggestion I have is that it should be able to hold coffee for real without melting.

I mean you gotta keep up with all those people who built fully-functional LEGO cars. And jet planes. And cats.

No but seriously you're so cool with your mad LEGO building skills. And it really is a shame that LEGO can't hold coffee.

Man, if these were functional, I'd order twelve in a heartbeat.
