What is your favorite invention of mankind?

Simple question, what is your favorite invention of mankind? It doesn't have to be the most complex of answers or the one that pushed mankind the furthest or anything; just personally for you, what is your favorite?

 

I'll be honest, thinking long and hard about this I'll have to say modern plumbing. From sinks, to toilets, to showers, the invention of modern plumbing has brought the modern person so much comfort and use on a daily basis. Through modern plumbing we have easy access to water for drinking, cooking, cleaning, and waste disposal. It's absolutely amazing.

 

So what about you, what's your favorite invention of mankind?

:kaukau: Writing.  Especially shorthand, like Gregg.

 

Also, constructed languages like Ithkuil.  If I could go back in time and somemhow make that the official languages of my country from its inception, I totally would.
