  1. There's nothing quite like a sinister grin! Thank you! The very concept of this build was based upon the fact that the said blades looked like jagged teeth to me. Creepy enough to keep me up at night! Haha! I'm glad you think it's scary!
  2. I've been building these wearable masks over the past three months and I'd like to share one of my favorite designs: If you're wondering how I attach this to my face, here's an image of the back. Let me know what you think!
  3. Ever since Bionicle was discontinued, I hardly ever went into the forums (if I did, it was a few times a year). A visit to BZP within these four years would only go as far as to look at what news was on the front page. I rarely even lurk, much less post throughout this time. In fact, seeing this on the front page is what brought me back in the forums. I guess with the possibility of the greatest facet of my childhood making a triumphant return, I could become a little more active (read more posts and provide opinions, share MOCs I've worked on for the past few years, etc. etc.). Hopefully the civility that I remember years ago will still be intact when a surge of new Bionicle fans join our ranks.
  4. Bringing my MOC shenanigans to Instagram!

  5. In terms of story, I really can't say. I enjoyed the story all throughout its course. As for sets, I'd go 2002. The Bohrok were just plain fun sets. 2006 could also be put into consideration, as I found the dawn of the more action figure sets interesting at the time.
  6. I got into Bionicle when it first began, and stuck with it until it ended. That's basically from kindergarten to high school. To say that Bionicle (and Lego in general) is a big part of my childhood is a huge understatement. Back when I was a kid, this was all I'd obsess about. Sure, I went outdoors, I've played my share of video games (although I play a lot more often now than I ever did then), and I'm part of a great circle of friends (in the present tense because we're still a tight bunch), but Bionicle was basically a part of me then. I would narrate the saga in my head, theorize about this and that, tell myself, "Hey, that character would make an awesome set!" I'd spend afternoons on the computer on bionicle.com (and eventually here), looking at pictures, playing games.... you know, just what a kid would do. It made a lot of impact in my current life today. My usernames, even my Twitter handle draw influences from Bionicle lore. When I have free time, I spend it by building stuff with my old sets. Even the story inspired me to try out writing. I incorporated many of the philosophical aspects of the story into my ideals. When the announcement of the cancellation was made, I was taken aback. "That's it? They're just going to tie up all loose ends and kill it?" The epic story, the characters I grew up loving.... it's the final chapter. And the fact that their swan song was just six boring sets wasn't much help either. Considering how much Bionicle has influenced my life today, I don't think there was ever a void left by its cancellation. I may have grown up, but it's still a part of me. Sure, I still miss it, but rereading the stories remedies that. Nowadays, I value the lore more than the sets (I still love my collection, though). I'm sorry if what I've written is a bit incoherent. I find difficulty digging deep and writing it down at the same time.
  7. I still memorize it (though I keep forgetting the numbers at times), and I occasionally write in it to confuse and annoy my friends.
  8. Although the length of the legs feels a little off, this is one incredible build. The color scheme looks great, and I absolutely love the design of the head. The sword is also pretty awesome, too.
  9. I'm a little new to the series, so I've only seen the weapons of Team RWBY so far. • I have to say, Weiss's weapon is my favorite of the bunch. It has incredible detail. • I also like Ruby's scythe-slash-sniper rifle, especially how easy it is to change it from scythe to rifle. The other weapons, as well as the robot, are pretty cool too, but it's the Myrtenaster and the Crescent Rose that stand out for me. Well done!
  10. • I made a lot of adjustments to make sure it doesn't restrict any movement or cause pain, so it fits well without slipping off. • As for finger mobility, I DID try rubber bands, but it's hard to work out at the moment (it both hurts my fingers and I don't get full mobility). • I'm considering using larger blades. I'll see what I can do with my available pieces. Thanks for your insight!
  11. Gravity Hurts and Creeping in my Soul.
  12. I watched the movie, and I gotta say, it defies expectations. I had been originally skeptical about the movie, thinking it would have a formulaic plot and basically just a feature length ad, but it turns out to be a lot more than that. There's plenty of humor, pop culture references, and they actually made the generic "chosen one" plot tolerable, even interesting. The animation was topnotch, too, and while it doesn't rely much on 3D, there are moments that immerse you into the movie.
  13. Although I find the cartoon tie-in off-putting, I, for one, am very excited for these sets. They come with interesting new pieces, and I think my brother would love to collect these.
  14. Being a Marvel fan, I have to say that the number of characters I want to see in Lego sets might as well be equal to an impossibly large number, so it's really hard to say. The characters I do want to see very soon include: - Ultron - The Fantastic Four - The Marvel Knights (including but not limited to: Daredevil, Blade, Ghost Rider, Punisher) - Doctor Strange - Sinister Six - Winter Soldier - Galactus - Thanos (with an Infinity Gauntlet) - Moon Knight - Nightcrawler (Wow, I have a LOT of favorites)
  15. For System pieces (spares), I have several containers with divisions. The pieces are sorted by type. (I make a special case for certain sets where I keep their pieces in one container, in case I want to rebuild the original set again). As for Bionicle/Technic pieces, I just have these large boxes for them. Some of them, though, are lying on my display shelf.
  16. Wow, how long has it been since I went on here? A year?

  17. Pokémon Y. If we're talking home consoles, Lego Marvel Superheroes.
  18. [no particular order]: • Linkin Park – Numb • Metallica – Fade to Black • Paramore – That's What You Get
  19. Divergent. I heard about the movie, so I got myself a copy to read and compare. Not a big fan of the romantic bits, but I find the dystopian concept very interesting. Right now, I'm reading World War Z, and I got myself a copy of Insurgent.
  20. If we're referring to "last movie you watched in the cinema", that would be The Lego Movie. Absolutely great movie. If we're just talking about the last movie you watched in general, I watched The Dark Knight again a couple of days ago.
  21. This was just something I made one boring afternoon. It's just a simple maze where you maneuver a tiny ball (in this case, a small piece of modeling clay) to the end. Nothing big. The Gallery
  22. Wow, I haven't been in the forums in a long while. A background of my build: Baron Strucker is one of Captain America's lesser known villains. He's a member of HYDRA, that evil organization led by Red Skull. This build is an attempt to recreate his signature weapon, the Satan Claw. This weapon gives the wearer immense strength and fires bolts of energy. The Gallery
  23. No one. I'm not close to any other member on this forum.
  24. 1. The Philippines!2. English and Filipino. And Pig Latin.3. Yes, but the distributor isn't very good at keeping sets updated.4. Nope. 5. Depends on the toy store. Usually a few weeks?6. In shops. Online's not an option for me.7. Of course! I think they should make a Lego store here...9. Typo?10. No, this topic's not a waste of time. I'm not familiar with you, though.
