  1. Six Kingdoms: Rebirth Welcome to the second game in the Six Kingdoms Story! This is the Character Profile and Rules Topic. Please see this first post for rules amendments, and post your Player Character (PC) profiles in this topic thread. By posting you are agreeing to follow all rules and guidelines of BZPower, the BZPRPG gameplay rules, and the Six Kingdom's rules amendments. The Game Masters (GMs) for SK:R are @Unreliable Narrator , @Vezok's Friend, and @Eyru. Please reach out to either or both of us for rules, dispute resolution, or general questions. Synopsis Past, present, and future collide in the Time Between Time on an island called Zakaz. Broken worlds drift closer as paradoxical alternative timelines collapse, and island denizens live short and violent lives seeking out a meager existence. The wasteland tribes of the Skakdi-Xa ride their scrap-built vehicles and Advanced Combat Rigs through the dunes in search of Energy Sources to keep powering their machines. Miserix, an elder Aspect, guides the wastelands from his containment sphere prison... Rules Amendments: Auto-Hit Amendment: What’s an auto-hit in a Six Kingdoms RPG? An auto-hit is defined in the Six Kingdoms RPGs as: "any action that occurs to a character, character’s belongings, or characters property not owned by the writing player without the permission of the owning player and causes harm, damage, or otherwise impacts that character." “I pat them on the shoulder and say ‘nice job,’ after our characters complete making a tent,” is not an autohit. “I steal their canteen and throw it into the sea while they’re asleep,” is an autohit. If players are engaging in PVP they will assume their character is already dead for the narrative purposes of the story. They will not engage in actions they are uncomfortable placing their character in. Do not make the “biggest meanest skakdi of them all” for PVP if you refuse to let your character be hurt or die because “they’re the best.” If a GM observes this behavior they will ask you, the player, to shift gears and return to a collaborative mindset. If you do not… See the three strikes rule. A GM may auto-hit in these exclusive circumstances: facilitating in resolving a dispute between players, reminding players their characters are in a dangerous situation if players stop engaging with the world as a living and breathing system, or if an Environmental Effect or other game-changing effect takes place and affects all characters in a region. “Waffling” Amendment: Dead characters remain dead until actual in-game effort is put into raising said dead character. Do not delete your post because you killed your character and regret your actions. In short: “people die when they are killed.” Be honest with yourself before placing a PC into a situation where they may be killed: are you okay with your character dying? Death is a part of the game and should not be cheated or cheesed. "Happy Chat" Amendment: Approach other players with empathy and expect differences in opinion regarding locations, character actions, or game lore to be stemming from a miscommunication or lack of primary documents for either participant in the conversation. Do not immediately allege another player is incorrect and demand them to see your side. Instead, express a desire to work through whatever miscommunication exists. If you have a hard time understanding this concept Six Kingdoms is probably not the right game for you, and you should seek out another RPG on BZPower or another website. Three Strike Rule Amendment: GMs will reward poor player behavior with strikes. If you collect three strikes you are banned from Six Kingdoms. The rest of the Six Kingdoms RPG community has no responsibility to recognize or respond to any communication from banned players in Six Kingdoms RPG topics (OOC, Character Creation, and IC). Continued negative behavior by banned players will be passed along to BZPower staff for site moderation. Conduct: Conduct is defined as anything requiring GM intervention for resolution. This can be facilitating the resolution of a scene or handling reports of rule-breaking. Please note, we only handle conduct for BZPower specific issues. We do not handle conduct related to 3rd party sites like Discord or Google docs unless the conduct directly involves the GMs (i.e. harassment in private message threads). If you have an issue with a player on those platforms please contact the appropriate support team. While we hope players can be kind and collaborative, we understand sometimes not engaging is the best solution. Reporting Conduct: To report Conduct issues, please submit a single PM on BZPower to the GMs. In the subject line please include “SK CONDUCT” along with the type of isse (dispute, rules violation, etc.). We will read and reply to these PMs on a weekly basis. Thank you for your patience in advance. Gameplay and Lore Questions: Please post all questions regarding gameplay, planning, and lore in the OOC Topic for the game. For visibility, tag both GMs in your post. We’ll answer these questions as they come up, or during the weekly news roundup on Mondays. Character Creation Please see the general rules, common sense guide, and BZPRPG rules of play. We will abide by those along with any changes, amendments, and addendums listed above. Post your character profile in the “Character Profiles” topic for the game. Please await an approval post from the GM before joining the story. If an alteration request is made by the GM, please see to it before continuing to post with the character in question. The “No” of Character Creation: Characters must be approved by a GM in the Character Profiles topic before playing. This is to provide a fair narrative storytelling environment in a game with an elevated power ceiling. Note: If you have a character from SKE and you are porting them to SKR you do not need approval for that character even if they have custom abilities, so long as those abilities do not change. Legendary kanohi are banned unless GMs have given written approval for the use of a legendary kanohi. If other kanohi prove they are being abused in a way that destroys the overall player enjoyment they will be added here. Play nice. Mask of Creation (Currently exists, worn by Knichou, only 1 in existence) Mask of Time (Vahi) Mask of Life (Ignika) Mask of Dimension Travel (Olmak) (currently exists, only 1 in existence) Gold Masks (must be unlocked via finding the in-game method) The Order of Mata-Nui is a secretive society known to very few. To join the faction, find a recruiter and roleplay the rites of passage discovered in-game. You cannot start your character in the Order of Mata-Nui unless they were recruited in SKE. Nova blasts are banned, unless you message the GM and explain why it’s absolutely necessary for plot reasons to blow up your character and all GMs say yes in writing. DO NOT MAKE A NUVA CHARACTER. Nuva and Nuva Proxima are character expansions that are incredibly rare. You must complete the in game rituals and have written approval of at least one GM to upgrade your character to Nuva or Nuva Proxima. This is a highly regulated character expansion. Being the first to insert the correct Great Disk into a Nuva room device inside an elemental Ruin will trigger the NUVA expansion for your character. This is a growing list of protoderm breeds unavailable in Character Creation at this time: canon bionicle makuta (Aspects are this world's version), rahkshi, most rahi... Please note, as of 8/14/2020 the taboo for creating rahkshi has been found. Only characters who possess such knowledge are able to bring rahkshi into existence. The “Yes” of Character Creation: All canon bionicle protoderm breeds not mentioned above are playable. Custom breeds from the BZPRPG that were approved are also available without need for further re-approval. New custom breeds need approval of the GMs before playing. Kanohi are not moral or amoral in this alternate universe. They are tools. Some tools are more feared than others based on famous users. All elements are available for play. Think about how your character’s element would be viewed by those around them. All beings are lightly resistant to psionic powers. Attempts to use psionic powers requires player consent in the same way as landing any elemental power. Dasaka are just matoran, toa, and turaga of psionics again. If you want to keep the powers as specified in BZPRPG, you certainly may. Player characters may have a personal vehicle, and any amount of technological items that fit the character narratively. For mechs, ACRs, please see their section in Character Creation. Please make sure to address any character approval questions from the GMs within 24-48 hours. You may not continue to play with the character in question until the approval issues are resolved. If you need more time, please let the GMs know as they are happy to accommodate. Remember, your characters are part of a collectively told narrative and no one has plot armor. This is a game with altered lore from canon. Do not assume anything is the same. The canon of SKE supersedes the official Bionicle canon. Please remember this is a team game. We are all telling a story. What do you want your characters to contribute to that story? There will be an IC forum thread, an OOC discussion thread, and a character profile thread. Please post character profiles in the character profiles thread and tag me in them for a quick approval! Character Profile template: Name: if a matoran, have they passed the rite of naming day Breed: canon or approved custom breeds of protoderms Faction: Aspects, Barraki, Refugees, Zakazian, etc. Brief Description: what’s their everyday or current appearance Background/Occupation: what do they do, where did they come from Flaws: character traits that hold them back, or where they break Powers/Equipment: stick to canon for what your character’s species can and cannot do We’re going a little different this time with character creation in order to encourage role playing and collaborative storytelling. All characters have the following system of powers and limitations: 1x Primary Element/Power 1x Secondary Power (i.e. Masks) 1x Breed quirk(s) 1x Psychological issue they struggle with 1x Physical limitation For example let’s take a character from Bionicle Canon in 2001, Tahu. Tahu has control over the element of fire (primary element/power), the mask of shielding (secondary power), and heat resistance (breed quirk). Tahu also consumes nutrients in foods by absorbing them through his hands rather than eating them like a skakdi would (another breed quirk). Tahu’s psychological issue is being a rage-aholic, his community supporting and validating his bursts by telling themselves, “he burns hot like fire.” Tahu’s physical limitation is he atrophied over time in the toa canister and needs to rebuild his strength. Kanohi Masks: Characters who’s races allow for wearing and using a kanohi may have one kanohi at the start of SKE2. The masks of Six Kingdoms are not divided into moral and amoral. For example, the beings of this world understand a mask of mutation can be used for healing or for creating terrible abominations. Masks are tools, some more dangerous or deadly than others. Banned Kanohi are as follows: All legendary masks Golden/Silver masks (at this time) Kanohi Olmak, mask of dimensional travel Masks of a single element, unless otherwise approved by a GM (please list this approval in your profile) Kaita Fusion: Three willing PCs of a similar breed (three matoran, three skakdi, three toa, etc.) of differing elements may form a kaita. A kaita is a Lesser Spirit, and governs a domain of its cultural ethos. All three players may post as the kaita, but they can only post once per interaction or in combat. Do not use the advantage of multiple players to double post as a Kaita. Kaita Fusions follow all the same rules as PCs and require an approved profile. GMs are actively watching for Kaita Fusion abuse. Kanohi Crafting: See Kanoka Disk Crafting Kanoka Disk Crafting: As seen by Gaius in Mar-Koro, kanoka disk crafting requires purified protodermis ores of several types to create the base nine disk types. Creating more complicated disk types needs the forging and prayer of a master smith, as well as the correct recipe through trial and error. More to come as explored. The village of Le-Metru Koro explored these ore-based kanoka forging techniques to great success. They have been able to forge disks of incredible strength, and even one Great Disk of Freezing by using an elemental sword of ice as the base material. Airships, Vehicles and Watercraft: Please provide a name for the vessel and a general description. You may have a small NPC crew of five per each PC aboard the airship, vehicle, or watercraft. The NPCs cannot assist in combat except to keep the airship, vehicle, or watercraft moving and in operational condition. It is preferred to replace NPC crew with PC crew ASAP. Currently, airships are smaller than the cargo airships of Metru-Nui and cannot go above the cloud line. Watercraft are not well built enough for extended deep sea voyages. Feel free to make it a personal quest to improve your ship to break through these limitations. EXPANSION -- ADVANCED COMBAT RIGS (ACRs): Advanced Combat Rigs (ACRs) are personal mechs, which come in all sorts of shapes, colors, and designs. ACRs are unaffected by elemental attacks, as they have onboard elemental nullification technology. They still take the physical damage of an elemental attack. One ACR per Character: a warband or crew can own several ACRs, but each is limited to a single pilot. All ACRs require a heartlight to function, as they are akin to a body without a consciousness/soul. The exception to that are semi-sentient ACRs built with the central processor of a salvaged Vahki, which can act as an onboard AI and operate independently. Only the Barraki faction has access to Sentient ACRs at the beginning of the game. All other factions must find a vahki neuro-core. These are a limited resource. Most heartlights are kept in cylindrical canisters and carried like keys by the ACR’s pilot. Piloting is done via thought. Pilots sync their mind to the ACR via neural plugs implanted into their own bodies. This effectively makes the ACR an extension of their own body: their brain impulses is what makes it move. Due to the nature of the interface with the ACR, pilots do not have access to elemental abilities while plugged in. An ACR’s size is limited roughly to between a Canon Bionicle Boxor and an Exo-Toa. ACR shapes are as diverse as the pilots at the controls: bipedal, quadrupedal, tracked, hovering, and whatever else the pilot can imagine. You may display any patterns, heraldry, and weapons systems (see profile) that make sense for a desolate wasteland. Weapons: It's tempting to strap a lot of Dakka to your mech, but again: This is a wasteland. Where did you get that many blasters, reasonably? Also remember: The more dakka and shinier your mech, the more interested other wasteland dwellers will be in taking it from you. If you strap 10 Midak to your mech, you can be sure a bunch of Skakdi will drop by during construction and ask you to share your toys - and they don't ask nicely. Rule of thumb: Stick with the Exo Toa: High degree of protection, with one projectile launcher and one melee weapon. All ACRs require a simple profile as follows and must have GM approval before being used in-game: Name of ACR: ACR’s Faction/Homebase: Pilot of ACR: Type of heartlight: Physical Description: Onboard Weapons Systems Options (pick two): 1x Primary (+weakness) 1x Secondary (+weakness) 1x Melee (+weakness) 1x Shoulder mounted (+weakness) EXPANSION -- SUVAS AND THE SUVA SYSTEM Scattered around the island of Zakaz are puzzle shrines known as suvas. These sacred spaces were once places of prayer and reflection. They were also a place where mighty warriors stored their weapons and equipment. Suvas allow for telepathically switching the gear carried on one's person without having to physically collect it. Completing suva puzzles may very well be worth your while! A registered user of a suva may withdraw an item from a suva using their mind by depositing an equivalent item (mask for mask, etc.) from their person in a suva while within a suva’s regional range of 3 hexes on the world map. A registered user of a suva may add an item to a suva without having to withdraw something of equal type. A registered user is aware of the contents within the suva at all times while within range. More than one user may be registered with a suva. A user may be registered with only a single suva, and it should be noted on their character profile. Registering with a different suva temple ends any ongoing suva registrations elsewhere. EXPANSION -- NUVA & NUVA PROXIMA Power-ups: NUVA Power-Up: Your character can receive the NUVA power-up by completing the final task in an Elemental Temple Ruin: activating the kanoka disk device by inserting the correct Great Kanoka Disk. This power-up is available for one character per Elemental Temple Ruin. You cannot start as a NUVA character in Six Kingdoms, and you must complete the required pre-requisite in order to earn the NUVA power-up. NUVA PROXIMA: Nuva Proxima occurs as a side effect of the NUVA power-up in each Elemental Temple Ruin. The closest character to whoever receives the NUVA power-up receives the NUVA Proxima power-up. The Nuva Proxima power-up is available for one character per Elemental Temple Ruin. Your character cannot start as a Nuva Proxima. Nuva Proxima is only available as an in-game reward for completely the required prerequisites. The Aspects of Makuta, Their Rites, & Taboo: The Aspects of Makuta are a powerful breed of individualistic gaseous entities who originate from the Kumu Islets south of Zakaz. These dark beings who practice taboos of a world lost to time seek to accomplish a Grand Wish, and require desecrated followers to achieve their ends. These PC followers come from all walks of life, some of which are the sub-breed of Skakdi-Xa. Faction Breed: Aspect of Makuta Primary Element: shadow Secondary Power: pick a second stage kraata power from the kraa variation tables on BS01. This power is an innate power of your Aspect and will grow over time as your Aspect ascends through the narrative milestones of their Grand Wish (see below). Breed Specific Quirks: aspects have a Grand Wish and perform Rites of Desecration, but cannot form kaita or access kanohi powers. Psychological Issues: aspects are fiercely independent, valuing their earned consciousness after rising from the liquid pools of antidermis in the Kumu-Islets. They are manipulative, often selfish, and consider all other beings as possible vessels for them to assume solid form. All Aspects of Makuta desire a solid body as often as possible. Physical Limitation: aspects exist as a sentient green gas and require either a suit of armor or a willing host to take solid form. Aspects may start the game with one suit of armor the same height as a toa. When in a gaseous form Aspects cannot physically interact with their environment. Host Possession: To possess a host, an Aspect must receive verbal or written consent from the host to house their gaseous essence. Once consent is given, the aspect can freely enter the body of the host in a creative manner. A possessed host can be played by both its original player and the player of the Aspect. Both players must communicate with each other about who will act at a given time. Since their respective characters share a body, players cannot double post by switching consciousnesses. Please do not violate this rule. When the Aspect is in control, the host's consciousness is dormant but aware of what the Aspect is doing. The host's consciousness cannot interact with the game world while the Aspect is in control. When the host is conscious, the Aspect is dormant and unable to interact with the world but knows what the host is doing. An Aspect may choose to leave a host they find unsuitable at any time. A single host may only be possessed by one Aspect at a time. A single Aspect may only possess a single host at a time. Rites of Desecration: A being who hosts a kraata is considered desecrated. Desecrated beings cannot remove the kraata without dying and are compelled to complete the narrative milestones laid out by their Aspect to achieve the aspect's Grand Wish. A character can undergo desecration twice for a maximum of two bonded kraata. To become desecrated a willing host provides a still beating heartlight from a sapient being -- excluding Rahi -- to an Aspect and consents to complete an Aspect's wish. In return, the Aspect forms any one first stage Kraata of the 42 known kraata powers and grafts it to the host. This binds the host and Aspect, and the host is compelled to complete the wish if possible. When the Aspect completes their milestone and increases their powers, the desecrated follower's kraata grows to the next stage as well. Below is the preparatory poem for the Rite of Desecration, which may be referenced or used during the rite's performance. Taboo: Some rites and rituals of the Aspects of Makuta are lost to the ruins of the world. Exploring temple ruins and researching goals through trial and error may unlock new perks and abilities for Aspects who have the knowledge. Any discovered taboos will be listed below along with the name of the character who has knowledge of these taboos. Sorilax: Elemental Alteration Sorilax: Rahkshi Creation Goodbye Tortured is the heart that lies empty Full is the belly of the beast A shell protects the broken yolk Sleep is better than peace Hello Korruhn: Flaw Consumption Tuakana: Star Swallowing Whisper, Apex, Stannis, Korruhn, Taja, Sorilax: Infectious Kraata Creation Kraata Creation and Infected Masks Taboo: Rahkshi Creation Taboo: Elemental Alteration Taboo: Tethered Bonds: Gluttonous Desecration: Kraata Corruption: Grand Wish: All Aspects have a Grand Wish, something they wish to accomplish in the time they have before they rejoin the antidermis pools of the Kumu Islets and lose their sovereign identity. Achieving their grand wish is a massive undertaking, for all grand wishes change the fabric of reality to the Aspect’s true desire by the end. This grand wish has seven narrative milestones which must be accomplished by the Aspect’s desecrated followers. The first step for all Aspects is gaining a desecrated follower. Please submit your Aspect’s grand wish and the necessary narrative milestones to GMs for approval. The narrative milestones do not need to appear in a character profile until they are achieved, but the Grand Wish itself must appear in the character profile along with a mention of which GM(s) approved it. If denied, GMs will work with you to craft narrative milestones. The Aspect may reveal each narrative milestone of their grand wish to their desecrated followers during the initial desecration rites either step by step or all at once. Each time a sequential narrative milestone is achieved, the desecrated follower’s kraata increases in power by one stage and their Aspect also grows in power by one stage. Additional Ascension Perks for Aspects: Telepathic audio communication with an individual desecrated follower currently on the same plane of existence. Kraata power stage 3, see through the eyes of their desecrated on the same plane Kraata power stage 4, remotely possess their desecrated through shadow puppetry Kraata power stage 5, teleport to one of their desecrated follower's shadows. Kraata power stage 6, teleport their desecrated follower to their shadow. Kraata power stage 7, ascend to learn more Grand Wish achieved, ascend to learn more Creating a Grand Wish: Explain the following: what is the grand wish and why does the Aspect desire it to be completed in their lifetime. Next, explain the ascension process in seven easily identifiable narrative milestones that the followers of your Aspect will need to achieve. Below is an example of a Grand Wish and the ascension steps. Example: What: the Aspect wishes to become a god. Why: so that they may truly feeling in control of their own life and destiny How: Desecrate a follower Gain a village of worshippers who pray to the Aspect daily Consume the power of a toa kaita Desecrate a tahtorak Use the heart of the tahtorak to build a grand vessel for the Aspect to live within Consume the powers of another Aspect worthy of respect Drink of the Lake of The Su Skakdi-Xa: Like all Zakazian Skakdi, the Skakdi-Xa have frills along their spine or behind their head instead of protruding spines. The Zakazian Skakdi will often raise their frills when experiencing intense emotions. All PC Skakdi-Xa were desecrated by an Aspect before SKR began and are native to the island of Zakaz. They have a grafted first stage kraata near the frills extending from their spine. For the most fun, it's recommended you find a PC Aspect to have performed the desecration. Primary Power: one skakdi vision power. Secondary Power: one 1st stage kraata power. Reach out to players who have an approved Aspect in-game if you want to connect your character to an aspect at the start of play. Breed Quirk: latent elemental powers. Skakdi may only access their elemental powers if they work in tandem with another skakdi. Factions and Population: Population of Metru Nui: The population of Metru Nui is predominantly soldiers of the League. This is an incredibly diverse group of all breeds, including the matoran and toa who renounced their faith in the Great Spirit for the overall betterment of an inclusive society focused on the individual identities of its citizens. Dark Hunters who have given up their old mercenary work and joined the Barraki also live in Metru Nui. Recommissioned vahki serve as front line troops, and Ehlek is looking for a way to make a mobile charging hive. Population of Zakaz: The population Zakaz is predominantly skakdi of all elemental variations. Some native matoran inhabitants remain, along with their toa protectors, and some other breeds of Protoderms who sailed from islands now lost to climate change also eke out a meager existence amongst the warbands. 90% of the population prior to SKR was skakdi, with the rest a mixture of all other breeds. Among the majority of skakdi is the elite breed of desecrated Skakdi-Xa. These skakdi contract Faustian bargains by sacrificing others to Aspects of Makuta who visit the mainland. In exchange they gain a kraata that becomes grafted to their body, often near their spine. These kraata not only provide additional powers, but show their backing from and affiliation with an Aspect. Culturally, hosting a kraata is also seen as a nurturing act. Those who host more kraata than others are considered more worthy leaders because they are stronger, ready to make a sacrifice for power, and willing to nurture something besides themselves. Aspects of Makuta: These powerful entities secret themselves from the rest of the world in the Kumu Islets. They slowly grow in power as they desecrate the natural population of Zakaz. Their faction goal is to raise one of their kind to the seventh stage of kraata power through repeated desecrations. Only at this final stage will an Aspect finally become whole. Playing an Aspect involves researching and discovering ways to perform higher stage kraata desecration rites. Barraki: Pridak, Ehlek, and Takadox are the remaining leaders of the League of Six Kingdoms. Takadox left the League, and now only Pridak and Ehlek remain in the destroyed skull of the Mata Nui robot, which they have turned into a stronghold, populated by the few soldiers and converted citizens who survived the crash. Ehlek has brought several vahki hives back online, using them as soldiers in his new world order, and Pridak schemes to recollect the Mask of Creation. Those who serve the Barraki are looking for the Mask of Creation, and the fabled resting place of a time machine somewhere in the Zakazian landscape. Pooling from their new and growing fortress is a large lake - a natural moat formed by the silver sea. Howling Untethered live in the lake and along its borders. Metru-Nui Refugees: The remains of matoran civilization within the Mata Nui GSR fled the crash, fracturing as large groups often do after an apocalypse. Small refugee camps have begun forming in the past week across the Island of Zakaz. These camps contain the bare necessities at the moment for the survivors to stay alive and regroup, in order to figure out what to do next. While exploring this new land, they found six regional temples that had strange hieroglyphics carved into them, predicting the arrival of the GSR and the “Children of The Stars”. Beneath these temples are complicated mazes full of traps and puzzles. The Hieroglyphs speak of a powerful transformation at the end of each maze. Other Player Factions: Player factions also exist! Check the OOC channel for how to become involved in those. Kal’s Blood Skakdi is one of them. A growing list of player factions will be available here. Untethered: The horde of undead from the GSR pooled out from the crash of Mata-Nui’s skull and swam through the newly formed lake that leaked from the destroyed skull. They formed strange abyssal kaitas, and now roam the island seeking more life to assimilate. Zakazian Warbands: Clans of roving warriors who live on war rigs. They protect their hidden oases, and their current goals are survival and the accumulation of territory and power. They recently learned the Rite of The Tahtorak from an elder aspect, and now race each other to find a worthy sacrifice to be fed to the Nightmare Pools in the frozen caverns of the tallest mountain: Irnakk’s Tooth. The following are different pre-established warbands your character can be a part of, but feel free to create your own warband with friends! Nektann’s War Skaks: a Skakdi-Xa chief who caught an Aspect of Makuta, Miserix, in a magic containment sphere and makes him perform divinations for his warband’s travels across the desert wastelands of the North. They have a permanent stronghold deep in the deserts from which they stage raids on the less fortunate. Riggers: a warband that lives near the coastline in a semi aquatic fortress. These pirates value the smokes from the mainland as a form of currency, and drive aquatic vehicles made from the scrap provided by the crashed GSR skull as well as other coastal wrecks. Mesi: mutated, pale, often eyeless or otherwise deformed, these underground dwelling skakdi once worked in refineries below ground. Moss and fungi grow on their backs, and their senses of smell and hearing are impeccable. They raid the surface of Zakaz at night, giving a howling and piercing shriek when they begin. 2. I should start off by saying I've always found new continuities that borrow from the original work more interesting and easier to get into since their lore can't be as vast as Greg's - I've never read his stories back then and, to be fair, I can't begin to get into them. The Legend of Ignaqua is my favorite fan story because it doesn't let itself be restrained by canon, instead it takes plenty of established characters and does its own things with them. Would you have expected Vakama and Nokama to fight Maxilo to save Hydraxon who happens to be prince? Yeah, me neither, and that's what I love about it. I'm also very invested in The Legend Rebuilt project, but I hope it will make the most of its new interesting setting and cast and manage to stand as its own thing. All this to say that I prefer making Bionicle stories that are completely separate from canon, since I don't know enough about the deep lore to be able to exploit it. I've been tempted to write about a story similar to Ignaqua's, but for now, I've been working on a sort of "G3" with a whole new setting and array of characters. I will keep updating this topic as my ideas develop or change - if this topic gets attention, that is. And, who knows, maybe one day I'll actually write something, or at least try to MOC some characters with Stud.io. For now, let's get into the basics and see if anyone's interested in reading more about it: * In the middle of an ocean once stood a paradise known as Novakia. For millions of years, its inhabitants prospered, living off the plentiful resources of the island. That was until a shadow fell upon the land and swarms of ravenous aggressors invaded the island to plunder it of its precious resources. At the cost of many losses, the inhabitants managed to fight off the invaders, but they did not leave without a gift that would change Novakia forever. The island was fractured and split into a multitude of smaller lands, becoming what would be known henceforth as the Novakia archipelago. For centuries now, the six tribes that once lived together have been maintaining tense relations. Resources are more precious than they ever were before the Great Split. They claim for themselves whatever land they can get, from the smallest isle to the greatest landmass, as long as there are resources to harness. This often leads to tensions escalating, at which point it is required for the tribes' Champions to intervene. A Champion is a warrior who stand out among their fellow tribesmen by being taller, stronger and more enduring than any of them. Each Champions wields ancestral masks of great power passed down to generations. The original Champions once used the power of these masks to push back the invaders that caused the Great Split. Nowadays, the Champions' main duty is to protect their fellow tribesmen from the threats of the elements and wild beasts and to solve disputes between tribes during duel that decide which tribe obtains what good is being claimed - or at least a bigger portion of what they have agreed to share. This tradition has kept the archipelago from erupting into full-blown wars for centuries, but soon the Champions and their tribes will have to unite. For malicious forces are looming slowly but surely over Novakia. * So this is a mix of 2001-2003 and G2 (mysterious island setting, six heroes protecting their respective villages) with 2009 (tribes settling their differences by having two fighters duel). I intend there to be more to it, but I don't want to throw everything at once - I believe it'll be easier for everyone to follow if I publish info little by little. For now, have the names of the tribes and some of their Champions. Fire Tribe: Magnos / Champion of Fire: Oda (♂) Air Tribe: Veralen / Champion of Air: Netek (♂) Water Tribe: Ocelia / Champion of Water : Lagna (...) Stone Tribe: Kallyon / Champion of Stone : ... (...) Earth Tribe: Gaverik / Champion of Earth: Koru (♀) Ice Tribe: Tundris / Champion of Ice: Tanika (♀) Finally, note that some things are bound to change. That includes names of places and characters. I am not satisfied with the name of some tribes and I have yet to fully figure out the Stone and Water Champions. What's even to say some of these elements won't change? For now, I am much open for thoughts and suggestions on the Review Topic !
  3. So many of you might have seen here that Greg mentioned that he would possibly hold another contest to determine the canon appearances of various G1 characters. Well the TTV poll that was held showed staggering approval of this idea, so it has become official. TTV has listed which characters, the rules and start date of the first contest on their message board (link below). So this is now official! What do you all think? Will you partake? I for one am eager to pull out my old collection and start thinking up new designs for some of these characters. TTV Contest Characters, Rules, and Start Date
  4. Happy 2020! I am proud to announce Six Kingdoms: Escapement is officially live. This will be where we put all of our profiles over the next three months. At the end of the game's run, this topic will be deleted so if you have a character you particularly love make sure to have a backup before the end of March 2020. Remember, for discussions out of character about the narrative please see Six Kingdoms: Escapement - OOC Discussion topic. I look forward to watching how we all tell this story in character in the Six Kingdoms: Escapement - Gameplay topic. Please see the general rules, common sense guide, and BZPRPG rules of play (links incoming). We will abide by those unless otherwise stated here. Post your character profile in the “Character Profiles” topic for the game. Please await an approval post from the GM before joining the story. If an alteration request is made by the GM, please see to it before continuing to post with the character in question. The “No” of Character Creation: Characters must be approved in the Character Profiles topic before playing. This is to provide a fair narrative storytelling environment in a game with an elevated power ceiling. At this time only Legendary kanohi are banned. If other kanohi prove they are being abused in a way that destroys the overall player enjoyment they will be added here. Play nice. The Order of Mata-Nui is a secretive society known to very few. To join the faction, find a recruiter and roleplay the rites of passage discovered in-game. You cannot start your character in the Order of Mata-Nui. Nova blasts are banned, unless you PM the GM and explain why it’s absolutely necessary for plot reasons to blow up your character and they say yes. The “Yes” of Character Creation: All canon bionicle species are playable. Custom species from the BZPRPG that were approved are also available without need for further re-approval. New custom species need approval of the GM before playing. Kanohi are not moral or immoral in this alternate universe. Metru-Nui is more technologically advanced than Mata-Nui. Player characters may have a personal vehicle, and any amount of technological items that fit the character narratively. Please make sure to address any character approval questions from the GM promptly before continuing play with the character question. There is an elevated power level in this RPG when compared to the main BZPRPG, but it is not final season fighting anime where blocks or cities are being demolished with a single punch. Remember, your characters are part of a collectively told narrative and no one has plot armor. This is an altered league of six kingdoms era in Bionicle lore. Please remember this is a team game. We are all telling a story. What do you want your characters to contribute to that story? There will be an IC forum thread, an OOC discussion thread, and a character profile thread. Please post character profiles in the character profiles thread and tag me in them for a quick approval! Three Strike System: While this is a co-operative game, I expect there to be occasions where players disagree on how the story should go. That's fine and normal. However, if the GM is called upon to help facilitate, any participating player who is unwilling to listen to the GM or alter their posts or character to reflect requested changes will receive one strike. Once three strikes are met, the player is blacklisted for uncooperative behavior. Once the game ends in March, all blacklists will be lifted. If a player is listed in this section, players do not have to interact with their characters. 5. Ninjago's been around for over seven years now and I'm curious how people feel about how its quality has held up over the years. Have the sets and story gotten better, worse, or stayed about the same? Overall, I feel that Ninjago started strong and has generally gotten stronger. It's true that there are a few sets from early in the theme's run that still feel outstanding, like 9441 and 2507. But I also feel like the sets have gotten much more detailed and refined. This is most obvious with sets that are specific redesigns of earlier ones, like 70738 versus 9446 or 70595 versus 9449, but also apparent with a lot of other sets like 70596, 70627, and the ninja vehicles from the movie. And while some of the most memorable moments of the show for me are still early ones like Zane discovering his true nature as a Nindroid, the characters have certainly developed a lot since then. Nya in particular has gone from a sort of generic action girl (highly capable but still relegated to the role of supporting character) to a full member of the team with her own personal challenges to overcome and a deeper connection to her teammates. And Lloyd has evolved from a sort of a wannabe ninja to the emotional center of the team and sometimes even its de facto leader. But I'm curious to hear what everybody else thinks!
  6. Hi, guys! There is a fact about the Transformers franchise, where Transformers transform into alternate modes, and that is that the franchise made you figures for Star Wars and Marvel, where characters from these franchises transform into their alternate modes. So, I would like to ask you this: If your favorite Bionicle character is like one of Transformers from the Transformers franchise, who can transform into an alternate mode, what alternative would the character transform into? For me, my characters and their alternative modes would be: 1. Tahu - a race car, a jet based on his 2008 look, a Phoenix based on Ikir. 2. Gali - a jet based on her 2008 look, a fish based on Akida. 3. Lewa - a Gukko bird, a jet based on his Phantoka look, the Axalara T9, a dragonfly based on Uxar. 4. See what I mean? What about you guys?
  7. Hi, guys! I know that Bionicle had ended a year ago sadly, but let’s be happy about Bionicle for something else. You see, this year, 2017, is the 10th anniversary of Bionicle’s 2007 storyline. I know that this year that we got the music album for the movie, Bionicle: Mask of Light’s 14th anniversary, but if you think this isn’t enough for this year, then let’s celebrate the 10th anniversary of the 2007 storyline. That would enlighten you more. Let me tell you the 2007 storyline: The 2007 storyline is about the Toa Inika’s quest to find the Kanohi Ignika, aka the Mask of Life, continuing by going into the sea. It starts off when Matoro successfully got the Kanohi Ignika, aka the Mask of Life, in the 2006 storyline, since the Mask has a mind of its own, doesn’t want to be used in the island of Voya Nui while a hostile Rahi called the Kardas Dragon makes Matoro let go of the Mask. It flies to the sea around Voya Nui while the Toa Inika follow it. However, they can’t get into the water, but their ally, Axonn, shows a way to get there by leading the Toa to the Cord, which is under the island. The Mask falls onto the sea floor. In the sea, there is an underwater city called Mahri Nui, which is near the Cord, and it is inhabited by Matoran. A Po-Matoran named Dekar notices the Mask. A group of evil and mutated warlords based on sea creatures, called the Barraki, notice the Mask as well, and plans to get it to defeat the Great Spirit Mata Nui and take over the Matoran Universe. Long ago, the Barraki were once normal people who rules some parts of the Matoran Universe, but they later on rebelled against the Great Spirit, but thry were stopped by the Brotherhood of Makuta and were sent to a prison called the Pit. However, when the Great Cataclysm happened, they escaped, but a magical substance called the Pit Mutagen mutated the Barraki into sea-creature-based monsters that only breathe water, so they’re trapped underwater. They think that the Mask can reverse all that, too, so they are going to get their hands on it. They lead armies of various sea creatures that they’re based on. The Barraki also threaten people from Mahri Nui. When Dekar is having the Mask, it uses its incredible powers, which cause Dekar to believe that the Mask is too dangerous for anyone to have, so he wants to destroy it. However, Barraki also notice Dekar having the Mask, so they want to take it from him, but he is defending himself. Also however, the Barraki’s leader, Pridak, successfully gets the Mask, but it is using its powers. When the Toa Inika arrived to the bottom of the Cord that leads them to Mahri Nui, the Mask transforms them into their new underwater forms called the Toa Mahri. The team gets newly transformed weapons and masks, but their elemental powers no longer are mixed with lightning, making them normal, and the team only breathe water. That’s the winter 2007 part of the story. Here is the summer part: After the transformation, the Toa meet with Mahri Nui’s people and the Toa say that they will protect the people from the Barraki. The Toa find powerful guns called the Cordak Blasters, and they go look for the Mask of Life. When the Mask noticed the Dekar’s life is in danger, it saves his life by transforming him into a duplicate of another being named Hydraxon, who was killed during the Cataclysm. Hydraxon’s memories bury Dekar’s memories, so the duplicate thinks that he’s the real Hydraxon. He is also the jailer of the Pit, so he goes searching and recapturing escaped prisoners. He captures Matoro and puts him in jail. Along the way, the Makuta of Metru Nui, in his Antidermis form and who got out of the Piraka’s damaged Antidermis tank, finds one of Hydraxon’s robots called the Maxilos, which guard the Pit, and possesses it like a ghost, making the robot as his new “body”, his disguise to avoid being noticed by his enemies, and container for his Antidermis. When he finds Matoro, he frees him because he wants to help him, even though that Makuta is evil. He tells Matoro to reanimate a dead Toa named Tuyet, who got killed during the Cataclysm, which Makuta caused, and get a magical stone called the Nui Stone. However, a tyrant named Karzahni, who is looking for the Toa Mahri, who he abused when they were once Matoran, notices the group and destroys Tuyet. Makuta defeats Karzahni and tells Matoro that in order to save Mata Nui from death, he and the Toa Mahri have to destroy the Cord in order to do it. Then, Makuta and Matoro separate. While the Toa Mahri are fighting the Barraki, when Hydraxon notices the Mask, he remembers from Dekar’s memories that he believes that the Mask is dangerous, so Hydraxon tries to destroy it, but he is stopped by Hahli. Along the way, when a tiny Rahi called a Gadunka touches the Mask, it enlarges the creature into the size so big that it can eat a person. The Gadunka believes that the Mask should be its, so he goes to get and keep it to itself. Jaller tries to get the Mask, but is stopped by Hydraxon while Matoro freezes Makuta to stop him from doing planned bad things. Then, Jaller accidentally frees Makuta from his icy prison by using Jaller’s fire powers. Later, Hydraxon and Makuta fight each other, allowing the Toa to get the Mask again. While the Barraki are having a problem with each other about one of them betraying the others, the Toa evacuated Mahri Nui’s people, so they can destroy the Cord. Before they do, they fight against the Gadunka and its two giant allies. The Toa defeat them before Hydraxon shows up to confront the Toa. The Toa convince Hydraxon that they are not criminals and they need the Mask for their good deed, so Hydraxon lets them go. The Toa destroy the Cord by using their Blasters, so the island of Voya Nui, which the Cord connected to Mahri Nui, sinks into the water, destroying Mahri Nui along the way. The Barraki notice Makuta, so they fight and defeat him by destroying the Maxilos robot that he is possessing, but he disappears after that. The Barraki then go after the Toa for the Mask. Matoro tries to find somewhere where he can use the Mask to save Mata Nui’s life, but he notices that Mata Nui is dead. Matoro feels very sad. However, he doesn’t lose hope, so he goes to find a way to revive Mata Nui while the other Toa buy Matoro some time by fighting the Barraki. Matoro goes to a waterfall, which Voya Nui was heading, where the Mask tells him to wear it. When the Mask shows Matoro that his friends are in danger because of the Barraki, Matoro uses its power to transport the other Toa to safety by taking them to Metru Nui and have them breathe both air again and water in order to save their lives from the Barraki. Then, the Mask also tells him that he has to sacrifice his life to use the Mask’s power to revive Mata Nui. Matoro does so, so Mata Nui is revived, and the whole Matoran Universe is saved. Everyone in there is happy, but when Turaga Vakama tells the Toa Mahri about Matoro’s fate, they feel sad about him. The people of Metru Nui commemorate Matoro for his heroic actions and make a statue of him to remember him as a great hero who saved everyone. Meanwhile, the Toa Nuva meet a guy named Artakha, who gives them new armor and then teleports them to a new place. The end of the 2007 storyline, and that part about the Toa Nuva being in the new place is where the 2008 storyline started. To celebrate, let me ask you this: What are your fond memories about the storyline and/or what do you like about it? For me, I like the Barraki. They look very cool, including that the fact that they are based on different sea creatures. It’s interesting that 2007 is where canister sets started to look different from each other from that on rather than having the same body type like in 2001-2006. I like the new pieces that look like the sea creatures’ parts, and I like how the Barraki look like sea creatures much. The eye pieces are neat as you can plug them into the Barraki’s heads. The mandibles are neat as you can open and close them. Their weapons are cool, but their Squid Launcher is hard to use to shoot Sea Squids. I also wish that the Barraki could have mouths that open and close. The Sea Squids look cool. I like their yellowish-orangish and bluish-greenish colors. Plus, it’s neat that anyone who has Squid Launchers can have clip pieces that store the Squids. One thing about the Squids, though, is that they look more like leeches than squids, so it’s weird to call them Squids, you see. Kalmah is neat because he is based on a squid, has two giant tentacles, and has three eyes. Takadox has glow-in-the-dark pieces, and he has nice knives that look like a mantis’ claws. I like the red spikes, too. He is quite the tallest of the Barraki. One thing about him, though, is that head is a bit hollow. Ehlek looks very cool because of his green spikes and talons. The talons are like Wolverine’s claws from Marvel. However, he doesn’t have a lower mouth. Carapar looks very cool, too, because of his giant claws and new armor pieces. The use of of the color, yellow, is good. However, Carapar doesn’t have a lower mouth, either, and he doesn’t have another claw. Mantax looks neat because of his claws, red spikes, and his upper body looking like a manta ray, but, again, he doesn’t have a lower mouth, and his arms look uneven. Pridak looks very cool because of his fins, blades, long feet, and the red blotches on his white pieces. The small sets look neat. I like the Matoran’s blades and launchers. The Hydruka look cool because they sort of look like scorpions with launchers on their tails. Nice teeth on them, too. The blue Hydruka has a nice glow-in-the-dark as well. The Toa Mahri look awesome, as they look like commandos with giant cannons. I like their breathing tubes, which make the Toa look like that they adapted to water. The blasters look cool, but what’s troubling about them is that you can’t shoot the ammo from them unless you loosen the ammo in the cannons. Jaller looks cool, and he has a nice sword. It’s neat that he has a Hannah crab to be his animal sidekick that hold his blaster. Hahli looks amazing, and she has a nice mask, wing-like fins on her back, and that giant claw of hers. I am not too fond of the green secondary color, though, because it makes her look like a Toa of the Green rather than a Toa of Water. Kongu looks awesome because he looks like a commando with two blasters. I like his mask because it’s neat that he has a green bulb-like thing attached to the mask. Hewkii looks very cool because of his giant blade in his left hand, blades on his right arm, mask, spikes on his thighs, and chains. However, how he wears his mask in his set is weird, and his arms look uneven. Plus, where’s his right hand? Nuparu looks cool. I like his shield. However, he has some restrictions on his wrists and ankles. Matoro looks cool (Get it, because he’s the Toa of Ice? Lol! ), as he has those big claws and giant black tubes. However, his arms look uneven, again. I like Hahli’s, Nuparu’s, and Matoro’s visors because they are neat. But, why do they have red eyes? Now, the large sets. Nocturn looks awesome and beautiful! I mean, this dude that four arms, many glow-in-the-dark pieces, spikes, bulky-ness, transparent blue pieces, swords, a Squid Launcher, and a tentacle, man! The Gadunka looks very cool, as its head is so big that its can eat a person and has a lot of pointy teeth. It’s neat that the Gadunka set uses Ehlek spikes for the teeth. I like the claws, glow-in-the-dark head, use of the blue and silver pieces, and it’s cool that it has a Squid Launcher. One thing I find weird about its set is the neck because it’s very thin. Hydraxon looks awesome because of his various weapons. I like his poseable and clawed hands. Maxilos is mighty great because of his mask, Titan-size, big sword, claws, and Cordak Blaster. I like his flexible torso. Spinax looks great because of his spikes. His head would look like that you could use it to make a seventh Barraki. Lesovikk looks cool because of his blade and shoulder pads. His Sea Sled looks cool, too, as it has a Cordak Blaster mounted in it and the landing gear. It’s like Takanuva and Ussalnui set in 2003. Karzahni looks awesome, as he has chains, spikes, those Takadox knive pieces on his torso, clawed and spikes hands, armor, and cape. His head/mask looks cool because of the horns and spikes, but why can’t he have a one-piece plastic version of his mask? I like the shades of green on him. One thing that I find weird about him, though, is how his neck is built. Sarda and Ibris look cool, like the other two Matoran sets in the winter half of 2007. I like their unique blades, claws, and masks. Their underwater trap looks amazing because of the spikes and its function to trap Karzahni. The playsets, well, look great. It’s cool that some of the Rahi can be used a vehicles for the Toa Mahri to use. They have great weapons and functions. The Barraki have cool-looking mutated sea animals that they have for soldiers. However, not every minfigure, who are based on the Toa Mahri and Barraki, are equal. There is no minifigure for Carapar. All of their heads are messed up. Plus, not all 12 of the characters are in one set, like the one in 2006. Next, the combo models. The Ehlek-Carapar-Mantax one, aka the Pit War Tortoise, looks very cool, but it has a weird neck and stiff points on its ankles. The Kalmah-Takadox-Pridak one, aka Zyglak, looks amazing! It looks like a lizard well! The Carapar-Mantax-Nuparu-Matoro combo, aka the Manutri, looks very cool because it has both a Squid Launcher and two Cordak Blasters, man! It looks kind of cute, too. Too bad that there are combiners for the other Toa Mahri or the large sets. As for the story and media, I think the story is very good. It’s been told through comics, novels, and online serials. The Barraki are cool characters, and they have some good character development. I feel bad that they got mutated into monsters after they escaped from prison. It’s interesting that they don’t get along or others, similar to the Piraka. I see that Brutaka was trying to team up with the Barraki, but they betrayed him, just like the Piraka. It’s not like in Marvel where there are the Sinister Six. Plus, Takadox was secretly a traitor to the Barraki as he was a servant to the Brotherhood of Makuta, the very people who stopped the Barraki from trying to conquer the Matoran Universe before they got imprisoned in the Pit. The Barraki have very cool powers, like Carapar with his super-strength and Takadox with his ability to hypnotize people. It’s also cool that some of their armies have some Rahi from 2002. Plus, each of the Barraki is from his own species of people. I wish there is a seventh Barraki, though. Nocturn is a cool guy. He may be dumb, but he is cool. Dekar is a troubled guy who didn’t know how to handle the Mask of Life. He could’ve just hide it or give it to the Toa Mahri. I felt bad that he was in danger, so the Mask was trying to the poor guy by turning him into a duplicate of Hydraxon. It’s sad that the original one died. It’s also sad that Dekar is currently trapped in the duplicate’s mind, so the duplicate can’t remember that he was Dekar. Dekar’s friends must be worried about the poor guy. This Hydraxon acted like a stubborn jerk he believed that all strangers are escaped prisoners without letting them prove their innocence. The Toa Mahri has a hard time convincing this guy. Makuta is a cool dude. He’s like a ghost. I get that he is trying to be nice to Matoro by helping him out with saving Mata Nui’s life, but he does have an evil move in his sleeve about this. Plus, this guy doesn’t want any opponent to mess with him. The Toa Mahri are great characters with very good character development. Hewkii is grateful that he learned swimming lessons from Hahli. Hahli is a clever hero who knows what to do in order to help her team. Jaller, Kongu, and Nuparu are good characters. They all are good friends to each other. I feel bad they are too are stuck being underwater because they only breathe water. Now, here came Matoro. This dude too was conflicted, but he knew what is the right thing to do. Although he should’ve not talk to evil strangers, he was still a good guy. This dude never gave up on reviving Mata Nui and saving the Matoran Universe. I feel very sad that he sacrificed his own life to use the Mask of Life’s power to revive Mata Nui. Before he died, he also saved his friends from the Barraki by bring them to Metru Nui and make them able to breathe both air again and water. Matoro was such a very great hero. He saved everybody in the Matoran Universe. Though, it’s sad that he died. (crying in tears) I feel bad for Lesovikk for the fact that he lost his team and based himself for it. This also makes him want to kill his enemies, which is against the Toa Code. Sarda and Ibris are good characters. They are good friends to each other and Lesovikk. Karzahni is a cool villain. He doesn’t want anyone to mess with him, and is ruthless. I felt bad that Karzahni was driven insane by Teridax when his mind was damaged by Teridax. It’s cool to see the Piraka again for a brief moment. They got mutated into snakes, and fought the Toa Mahri before they get taken away by Axonn. It’s neat to hear about the Toa Nuva’s adventures during the events of the 2007 storyline. They have been doing some strange and good stuff to get ready for the Great Spirit. Lesovikk and Karzahni May have their own thing with each other, but they could’ve get more involved with the 2007 storyline. Lesovikk could’ve made new Toa friends with the Toa Mahri, and the Toa would try to help him feel better. The Matoran duo would help the Toa, too. Karzahni would also help the Barraki get the Mask of Life and defeat the Toa Mahri, so Karzahni would have more ruling power and take the Toa Mahri as his prisoners again. Makuta could’ve fought the Toa team as well. There are a lot of things that make me feel annoyed. That Bionicle Legends about the Toa Inika’s travels in the Cord shouldn’t have cancelled. It would be nice to look at their adventures more. I heard that Nuparu was supposed to have his Aqua Blaster Blade and Carapar with his two claws in their sets, so these should’ve happened. Kongu should’ve kept his melee combat weapon, which is transformed from his Laser Crossbow. Plus, brown ain’t on the “Stone” characters much. Sad. I have no idea how did these happen. It would be cool to see a set for the mutated Brutaka. Plus, there should have been a combined set similar to the Vezon and Kardas set. Too bad there wasn’t. (Though I would imagine that if that could happen, it would be a mix of the Gadunka, Hydraxon, and Maxilos and Spinax set, and this mix would be a powerful and giant Rahi or a warrior). It would also be nice to see the outcome of that fight between Brutaka and Maxilos. The online serials were introduced in 2007. I thought they are cool as they tell more stuff in the storyline. I wish there could have been a sequel to Bionicle Heroes in 2006. (Though if it would happen, it would be based on the 2007 storyline) So, guys, what are your fond memories of the storyline, what do you like about it, what’s your favorite 2007 set, favorite character(s) in 2007, favorite moment in the storyline, what things remind you of the 2007 storyline, and/or how would you celebrate it? For me, well, my favorite sets are Kalmah, Ehlek, Nocturn, Jaller, Hahli, Kongu, Gadunka, Hydraxon, Maxilos and Spinax, and Karzahni, and my favorite characters are Jaller, Hahli, Matoro, Kalmah, Takadox, Pridak, Makuta, and Hydraxon. The things that remind me are: 1. Hero Factory’s Breakout storyline and the part in there about Furno fighting and recapturing Jawblade. 2. The Serpentine from Ninjago being released from their prison to terrorize people and do something horrible along the way (the Barraki) 3. The Hypnobrai (Takadox) 4. Lego’s Atlantis theme 5. The Lizard from Marvel (Zyglak) 6. That scene in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace in 1999 where there is this underwater city. 7. That one part in a Star Wars TV series called Star Wars: The Clone Wars in 2008-2014.
  8. Hi, guys! I am not sure if this would be a good topic, but I can say it, anyway: which (favorite) Bionicle character do you think would be worthy of using Thor’s magical hammer called Mjolnir from Marvel? You see, in Marvel, Thor uses this hammer to create and control electricity and weather, fly, and create inter-dimensional portal and travel to other dimensions, such as from Earth to Asgard. It can also be thrown, fly on its own, move around, and goes back to Thor like a boomerang. It is near-indestructible, and it’s quite very powerful. See information about the hammer in here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mjolnir_(comics) . There’s one thing that I don’t get about the hammer, and that is this: How can a person be worthy of lifting and using the hammer. You see, Thor is worthy of using the hammer, but there are other people in Marvel who are worthy of using it, too, like Thorms girlfriend named Jane Foster, Thor’s father named Odin, Beta Ray Bill, Captain America, Squirrel Girl, and Vision in Avengers: Age of Ultron in 2015. Not just people from Marvel, even Superman and Wonder Woman from DC Comics did that (the DC Comics is non-canon, but it could be possible). When the hammer is dropped or put down on a place, it stays at a certain spot where it is on and can’t do lifted by anyone unless this person is worthy to do it. It’s like in the King Arthur mythology, where Arthur lifted with a magical sword from a stone while other people can’t do it because he’s worthy. It’s like a magical code that scans finger prints. I don’t know what makes someone worthy of lifting and using Thor’s hammer, but I think it has to do with being a hero who either has a warrior or soldier lifestyle, wills to kill, thinks about others before itself, is honorable, powerful, has a sense of nobility, or humility. So, I would like to think that some Bionicle characters would be worthy to using the hammer because they are heroes who either have warrior and solider lifestyles, thinks about others before themselves, are honorable, powerful, have a sense of nobility, and humility, even though that Toa would go against killing, because of their Toa Code. We know that the characters have personalities while being bio-mechanical, so here's my list of worthy characters: 1. The Toa Mata/Nuva/Masters/Uniters - they always think about people and creatures they protect, are powerful and noble warriors, and honorable in the eyes of their people. 2. Takanuva 3. The Toa Inika/Mahri 4. Ackar 5. Gresh 6. The Great Spirit Mata Nui 7. Ekimu So, there. You see what I mean? I would love to see Onua and Ekimu use the hammer because they use their own hammers. Lol. Anyway, what are your thoughts about characters in your minds, who are they, and how do you think they could be worthy of using the hammer?

  10. Hi, guys! Since Halloween is coming, which Bionicle character do you guys think is the scariest? For me, here's my list: 1. The Bahrag 2. 2003 Makuta Teridax 3. Ultimate Dume 4. The Kardas Dragon 5. Gadunka 6. The 2008 Makuta 7. Tuma 8. Vorox 9. The Skopio living creature that Mata Nui faced in The Legend Reborn 10. The Lord of Skull Spiders 11. Umarak the Hunter/Destroyer 12. The Barraki 13. The Piraka 14. Karzahni 15. The Kraata from Mask of Light So, what about you guys? P.S.: A glitch made this copy of my topic for some strange reason. Can anyone please get rid of this one or something?
  11. Hi, guys! When you observe Bionicle characters physical-body-related powers, would you call their powers "superhuman"? You see, in traditional superhero lores, like DC Comics, Marvel, and Samurai Jack, their physical-body-related powers are called "superhuman", which means an enhanced version of a normal human's psychical attribute. It doesn't have to be just humans, other beings are like that, too. We would always call enhanced physical attributes "super-physical-attributes", but some things, like Wikipedia, calls them "superhuman physical attributes". Examples of these superhuman-physical-attributes are superhuman strength (we would always call it "super-strength"), superhuman speed ("super-speed"), superhuman endurance ("super-tough"), and superhuman reflexes ("super-reflexes"). Wikipedia is being formal with those things and we are doing informal with them. When I observed the characters' enhanced physical attributes, here's what I would see them: 1. Anyone wearing and using the Mask of Strength - they get super-strength. 2. Anyone wearing and using the Mask of Speed - they get super-speed. 3. Titan- or Hulk-from-Marvel-sized beings - they get super-strength. 4. Umarak the Destroyer - He is super-strong and super-tough. Suppose you have G1 Onua fighting against Bane from DC Comics. Onua uses his Mask of Strength to become super-strong while Bane uses his Venom to become super-strong. They are in a contest or fight where they only use their super-strength to defeat each other. Perhaps the result would be either they are evenly matched or Onua wins, depending if his mask is ordinary or Nuva. So, my question is this: Do you consider these enhanced physical attributes "superhuman physical attributes" as you can imagine them? BS01 doesn't call them that way, probably because the characters aren't human. It's your opinion. For me, I would call the enhanced physical attributes "superhuman physical attributes" for how I can see them.
  12. Hi, guys! What the title says here: What Bionicle character do you want to be your friends? How would you hang out with them? For me, I would go like this: Tahu - watch Marvel's Wolverine and Iron Man movies and Superman movies Lewa - watch Spider-Man movies Gali - watch Wonder Woman movie in 2017 Kopaka - make snow on my yard, so we can play with the snow Pohatu - watch sports shows and Batman movies. Lol. Onua - watch Marvel's Hulk and Thor movies Takanuva - watch Steven Universe All Toa Mata/Nuva/Masters/Uniters - go play in a grassy town park and in my yard, watch Marvel's Avengers and X-Men movies, the Justice League movie in 2017, The Lego Movies, Star Wars movies, and Transformers movies, watch Steven Universe, Avatar: The Last Airbender, The Legend of Korra, and Ninjago, play some board games, and play some video games. Vezon - go play in the town park and my yard and playing pranks on people. That's about it. What about you guys?
  13. Hi, guys! Since today is about "Internet memes" recently, like "I am Groot", said by Groot from Marvel, and "Extra thick", said by Aku from Samurai Jack (Season 4, Episode 9, specifically), people use them to make jokes in the Internet. Internet memes are like well-known quotes. So, when you like certain quotes in Bionicle, would you consider it to be your Internet meme? For me, my quote(s) is/are this/these: "I can feel the power!" - Tahu in 2015 Online Animations "I can feel your power." - Umarak the Destroyer in Bionicle: The Journey to One in 2016. I find them quite fun to say. Suppose Takua puts on the Mask of Light. He would say "I can feel the power!" while transforming. Get it? Lol. Anyway, what certain quotes that you know would make your Internet memes?
  14. I'm just going to put up an entry about my old characters from when I was a teenager. Mainly just two of them. This is going to get really nerdy and angsty, just so you know. Back in the day I used to play RPGs and actually put thought into the characters I played. I was a part of this one Zelda RPG years ago which was pretty fun. I created a character named Sora (and no, I didn't know this was the name for the protagonist for Kingdom Hearts. XD). I was (am) weaboo trash, so I was looking up names that meant sky in Japanese, so I decided to go with it. The character I chose was a Skull Kid from the Legend of Zelda series who was magically transformed into a Hylian due to Great Fairy technology (magic). His backstory was that he became lost in the Kokiri Forest when he was a child and transformed into a Skull Kid. And after that Sora kinda lost himself. He became alone and isolated from society and kinda feral. I think I had him begin to lure other children into the woods so they would transform like he did. Then he thought he would have a friend in the world. Though, I don't think that ended the way he had hoped. I never really fleshed out this part of his backstory, but I would imagine, had he been successful in turning other children, that they would have run off on their own and want nothing to do with Sora. At this point he had even forgotten his own name and most memories from his childhood. One day he stumbled into the Great Fairy's fountain by mistake. Taken aback by her presence, Sora was frightened. Seeing this poor creature in front of her, the Great Fairy of the Kokiri Forest bestowed an enchanted amulet upon him. Once it went around his neck, he transformed into a Hylian. It had a sort of calming effect on him at the time, though he wasn't sure why. While he still couldn't remember where he had come from, he did remember the name Sora, and assumed it was his own. Though the Great Fairy did not bestow the amulet freely. She explained that with its magic he could travel the land of Hyrule freely without fear of being attacked by Hylians. However, she explained that she had sensed a danger arriving in the land and tasked him, should he accept, with seeking out all of the Great Fairy fountains across Hyrule and gathering magic from each Great Fairy. Wanting to know more about his past and the world outside the forest, Sora agreed to take on this duty. He had a few different powers at his disposal. He could turn decaying organic matter into healing fairies (mostly dead trees and the like. Though while this could be used on a body, I don't think he ever used his powers in this manner). He could also, with enough magic, transform into a forest fairy himself. The small size and ability of flight would assist him and others on his journeys. Over the course of the RPG, Sora would go on to meet and old childhood friend, befriend Vaati, travel the world and play a role in saving Hyrule from... Sephiroth I think? It was a weird Final Fantasy crossover thing we had going on. XD Ultimately when the main story came to an end, his amulet had to be returned (or it lost its power or something, I'm not sure). After that he transformed back into a Skull Kid. He hid himself in a cloak, afraid what his teammates would think if they saw him as a monster. He knew Hyrule wasn't made for a Skull Kid. He chose to return to the Kokiri Forest in the end, after a bittersweet goodbye to his friends. In a way Sora's story was about personal atonement, freedom and saying goodbye. Though, his story didn't end when he returned to the forest. I imagine he needed some time to think things through and decide what he wanted from his life. For him I suppose it was like peering through the looking glass. Taking a look at the world he lost as a child, maybe seeing what things could have been like if he were never lost. He's actually one of my favorites from my old OC file (just pretend I keep a file with all of my OCs in it). Now onto Cecilia. Cecilia was only ever a concept. I'm sorry to say I never could find quite the right story for her. She started as a drawing. I decided to sketch a small pink fairy inspired by the healing fairies in The Legend of Zelda games. Her personality came later. I imagined her as a young fairy who was naive and a bit unworldly. She hadn't been sent out into the world yet to begin healing and she had a penchant for joking irreverently about death. Her laughter was said to make the older fairies sigh. While she was perhaps cruel, she still wasn't a monster. She was kind enough and she was loved by her peers, but her cheek would get her into trouble from time to time. Originally I had wanted her to go into the world for her first time and comically get bottled by Link. I had this idea that she would spend her time lost in his hammer space bored out of her mind, unhappily wishing the worst on her captor. Of course that story ended when Link ran out of hearts, and Cecilia, finally being released would begin to fly free, but then look down at Link in his injured state and somewhat reluctantly heal him. It was an idea for a coming of age type of story and having her grow as a person, learning her role in the world and why she was given the ability to heal. I never did find quite the right way to execute this story without it coming off as preachy. I imagine after that experience Cecilia would have started to change. Not all at once, and maybe she even continued with her dark sense of humor. However, over time I feel like maybe she would have abandoned that character trait or at least have softened her blows. And that's not to say that she decided to censor herself for the benefit of others, heavens no! That doesn't fit with her character at all in my opinion. I wanted to show that she as a character herself outgrew that sort of irreverence. It was never something I ever felt I could properly do justice to. And thus concludes a couple of character ideas I came up with years ago, the end.
  15. Hi, guys! Since Halloween was yesterday, so happy belated Halloween! Anyway, speaking of Halloween, which Bionicle character do you guys think is the scariest? For me, here's my list: 1. The Bahrag 2. 2003 Makuta Teridax 3. Ultimate Dume 4. The Kardas Dragon 5. Gadunka 6. The 2008 Makuta 7. Tuma 8. Vorox 9. The Skopio living creature that Mata Nui faced in The Legend Reborn 10. The Lord of Skull Spiders 11. Umarak the Destroyer So, what about you guys?
  16. Hi, guys! I know that Bionicle G2 is over ( ) and we are talking about what would G3 look like if it were to happen, so I would like to ask you this: what characters would you like to come back, how would they be and look like, and how would you like their story information and backstories to be like? It would be obvious that the Toa Mata/Masters and Makuta (Teridax) would come back, but I would like some other characters (both G1 and G2) to come back. Usually when characters come back in reboots, they tend to look sort of different and have their story information at least slightly altered. Examples include Spider-Man movies and TV shows, Marvel's Hulk movies, Batman movies and TV shows, The Powerpuff Girls TV shows, Transformers TV series, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles TV shows and movies. Bionicle G3 would probably have a new building system if anyone is sick and tired of the CCBS. Here's my list of Bionicle characters: 1. Toa Mata/Toa Nuva/Masters/Uniters - Obvious. I would like them to be Matoran who train to be Toa before they can become them. The first forms on the Toa should be a mix of their Mata and Master forms, but with no gold or silver pieces. All of the Toa should be medium-sized sets that could save some money for Lego. They first would get new armor that makes them Uniters and able to combine with the Elemental Creatures, then get Energized Protodermis to become the Toa Nuva, then wear the Adaptive Armor and become able to combine with the Av-Matoran. I would also like the Toa to form the Toa Kaita again and a Toa Nui. If they get new and easy-to-memorize titles, they would be Heroes of Elements (and the same would go to other Toa). 2. Tahu - His first form would have: Primary color: opaque red. Secondary color: orange. Weapons: two fire swords that combine into a surfboard. Mask: Mask of Shielding or Fire. Eye color: blue or orange. He would be confirmed as the leader of the team this time. 3. Gali - Primary color: normal blue. Secondary colors: light or dark blue. Weapons: two hooks or a trident. Mask: Mask of Water-Breathing or Water. Eye color: blue or yellow. 4. Lewa - Primary color: normal green. Secondary colors: light or dark green. Weapons: an axe/sword or two. Mask: Mask of Levitation or Air. Eye color: light green. His elemental power would be Air this time. 5. Kopaka - Primary color: white. Secondary colors: light grey or light blue. Weapons: a shield and a sword/spear. Mask: Mask of X-Ray Vision or Ice. Eye color: blue. He would be the deputy of the team this time, too. 6. Pohatu - Primary color: brown. Secondary colors: tan or yellow. Weapons: boomerangs and Feet Additions. Mask: Mask of Speed or Stone. Eye color: Orange, yellow, or green. He would have the same Mata gear function as his Mata set, so when you turn the knob, he can kick with his leg this time. He should also have his cheerful G1 personality. 7. Onua - Primary color: black. Secondary colors: dark gray or purple. Weapons: claws/hammer. Mask: Mask of Strength or Earth. Eye color: green or dark green. His body would shape like his Master counterpart. 8. Takua/Takanuva - stays the same, but his eyes would be either blue or yellowish. 9. The Turaga of Mata Nui/Toa Metru/Toa Hordika - stay the same. The Toa Metru should have their arms placed horizontally rather than. Let them have the same secondary colors and eye colors as the Toa Mata/Nuva/Masters/Uniters above or their Turaga forms. I would like the Toa Metru/Turaga teach the Mata/Nuva/Masters/Uniters how to do the duties of Toa. 10. Toa Inika/Mahri - stay the same, but I would like them to be the Toa Mata/Nuva/Masters/Uniters' protégés. 11. Jaller - In his Inika form, give him two swords. 12. Hahli - Her secondary color would be light blue/dark blue, so he wouldn't look like a Toa Lightning (white) or a Toa of the Green (green). 13. Kongu - in his Mahri form, have him keep his melee combat weapon that he abandoned in G1. 14. Hewkii - in his Mahri form, make his arms even and give him a right hand. 15. Nuparu - in his Mahri form, give him the Aqua Blaster Blade. 16. Mata Nui (being) - If Mata Nui were to be a 7-foot-tall, Toa-like being, he would also have able to become giant, like his special edition set in 2009, in the story when he, well, goes Hulk on his enemies. If he were to have a Thornax Launcher in his set again, Mata Nui would have and use it in the story this time, or if he doesn't include it, don't have him do it in the story. It would have to be one of these two choices in G3. 17. The Infected Rahi from 2001 - I would like the Kane-Ra and Muaka's arms to be poseable and be less loose for storage. Give each of them two treads for legs, and the same goes to the Tarakava. I would like the Sand Tarakava to be released as a set as well. The Nui-Rama (wasps) need four more legs while the Nui-Jaja (scorpions) need two more legs. The Manas would not be battery-powered this time (I am not a fan of needing batteries). 18. Bohrok, Bohrok Va, Bahrag, and Bohrok-Kal - stay the same. 19. Exo-Toa - stay the same, but they could adapt to Toa's new building-system-made bodies. 20. Boxor - stay the same. I would like Agori or Okotan use it, too. 21. Rahkshi - stay the same. I would also like the Rahkshi of Heat Vision to be named, too. 22. Makuta Teridax - a mix of his 2003 set, Mask of Light movie form, Ultimate Dume set, Legends of Metru Nui movie form, and 2016 Titan forms by description, and I would like him to appear in a set again this time. He would be Mata Nui's brother or just be called "brother" again. He would first have the Mask of Shadows. When defeated by the Toa Mata, he would wear the Mask of Ultimate Power (as a set this time) to combat their powers the next time they meet. He would also use the Mask of Control to control his minions along the way. His primary colors should be black and red. 23. Takutanuva - his set should come with the Mask of Light and Shadows this time. 24. Nidhiki - it would be interesting if he were a Toa who was mutated in a science experiment. It would be cool if he appeared as both Toa and monster as sets. 25. Krekka - stays the same, but with two eyes this time. His arms should look more like the Legends of Metru Nui movie than his 2004 set, meaning they should be symmetrical rather than looking different from each other. 26. Niwark - stays the same. I would love him fight against Ikir or Agil. 27. Sidorak - stays the same, but his arms' articulation should be fixed. He needs a left hand, too. 28. Roodaka - stays the same, but she needs hands. 29. Keetongu - stays the same, but he needs hands/paws. 30. Visorak - stay the same. 31. Vahki - stay the same, and they should have elemental powers, too, if they were to control and patrol their certain Metru. 32. Lhikan - stays the same. He would appear as both Toa and Turaga as sets. 33. Kikanalo - stay the same. 34. Dume - stays the same, but give him a staff and make look more like a Turaga than his 2004 set. A Toa set being released this time would be cool, too. 35. The Rahaga/Toa Hagah - stay the same, but the other four Toa Hagah should be released as sets this time. 36. Voporak - give his lower arms hands. Would be cool if his set includes the Mask of Time, and he would be Sidorak's servant and his second-in-command for the Visorak and/or a fully official Dark Hunter. 37. Krakua - would like to see him as an official set. 38. The Piraka - would be cool if they are enhanced during science experiments to use their elemental powers independently and able to combine into Kaita and Piraka Nui. Plus, I would like them to have opening mouths in their sets. 39. Zaktan - would be cool if he were to be fused with Protodites during a science experiment. Think of it as mixing Skakdi DNA with Protodites. 40. Vezon - would be interesting if he were to be created from a science experiment as a clone created from Vezok's DNA, but deformed as a result. 41. Fenrakk/Kardas Dragon - stays the same. 42. Axonn - stays the same. 43. Brutaka - stays the same. It would cool if he appeared as both normal and Pit-mutated forms in set forms. 44. The Barraki - would be interesting if they are mutated with sea animal DNA during a science experiment. Plus, I would like them to have opening mouths in their sets. 45. Kalmah - he would have 6-8 tentacles for legs. 46. Ehlek - perhaps giving his set's claws a function where you push his claw prongs into his gauntlets and then push them out, similar to Wolverine from Marvel or the Shredder from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Give him one or two secondary colors, which are yellow and/or blue (I got that idea from Electro from Marvel and The Amazing Spider-Man movie in 2014). Also, fix his torso by making it less weird. Plus, give him an eel tail and a lower jaw. 47. Carapar - he would have 6-8 crab legs for legs and one pincer on each hand while his Squid Launcher is mounted on his shoulder. Plus, give him a lower jaw. 48. Mantax - make his arms look even by having same pieces on the forearms at the same length. Plus, give him a lower jaw. I would like him to have a function where he can turn from standing upright to having his body laying on the ground perfectly flat, like a manta ray that he is based on. 49. Pridak - give him a shark tail that can articulate, similar to Jawblade from Hero Factory. Perhaps make his dorsal fin and teeth bigger. Would be cool if his mouth can open and close in his set. 50. Nocturn - stays the same, but perhaps give him an extra tentacle. 51. Gadunka - stays the same. 52. Dekar and Hydraxon - stay the same. 53. Lesovikk - stays the same. If he were to appear in G3, make him more associated with the Toa Mahri's mission. Plus, he has to get over his guilt this time. 54. Karzahni - stays the same, but I would like his normal and mutated forms to be released as sets. If he were to appear in G3, make him more associated with the Toa Mahri's mission, too. The Toa Mahri would gladly give him pay back. 55. Artakha - would love to see him as a set. 56. Matoran - feels classic that way. I would like the ones that came out as sets be reintroduced, too. I would also like Vultraz and Mazeka to get really involved in the Toa Nuva's battle with the Kardi Nui Makuta. 57. Velika - as both a Matoran and a Great Being in sets. 58. Maxilos and Spinax - stay the same. 59. The Karda Nui Makuta in 2008 - stay the same. 60. Makuta Icarax - I would like him to stab Makuta Teridax in the back when a situation calls for it much more than in the 2008 storyline, similar to Scarscream from Transformers. 61. Makuta Miserix - would like to see him as an official set and goes to battle Teridax more. 62. Glatorian - stay the same. 63. Gresh and Vastus - give them Jungle powers to match their tribe. 64. Gelu - have Mata Nui give him Ice powers to match his tribe. 65. Agori - stay the same. 66. The Vorox - stay the same, but it would be cool if they were once normal Glatorian who were mutated in a science experiment with scorpion DNA. 67. The Zesk - stay the same, but it would be cool if they were once normal Agori who were mutated in a science experiment with scorpion DNA. 68. The Skrall - stay the same. Perhaps fix Tuma's legs' articulation. 69. Tren Krom - stays the same, and I would like him to be released as a set. 70. The Shadowed One and the Dark Hunters - stay the same. 71. Lariska - would like to see her as a set. 72. Helryx - would like to see her as a set. 73. Tuyet - would like to see her as a set. Perhaps make her a main villain in a new storyline. 74. The Element Lords - stay the same, but I would like to think that they got their powers from the Elemental Creatures (from G2) through a science experiment created by the Great Beings. The Great Beings would study the Creatures and their powers, so they can take some of their DNA and use it to turn normal people into the Element Lords. I would also like them to be released as sets. 75. Baterra - stay the same, but I would like them to be released as sets. 76. Makuta Spiriah - stay the same, but would be interesting if he were to be the ruler of the Skakdi. 77. Nektann (warlord) - Stays the same, but I would like him being slightly bigger than a Piraka in his set this time. It would be interesting if he would be Spiriah's second-in-command. 78. Nektann (robot) - I would like it to be its own set, like Maxilos. 79. Kabrua - would like to see him as a set, and would be slightly larger than a Vorox in his set, too. Or, I would like him to be the Vorox's own Tuma. 80. The Great Beings - I would like to see at least one of them or Angonce as a set. 81. The Protectors and their people in the island of Okoto - stay the same, but it would be interesting if they reveal as Agori who live in an island (Okoto) on Spherus Magna's Aqua Magna region. 82. Ekimu - stays the same, I would like to think that Ekimu would be one of the Great Beings' creations. He would also either be an inventor of Kanohi or Masks of Powers and provides the Great Beings with them, or the Great Beings had taught how to make masks. Either, he would be the first Mask Maker in history, and he would provided assistance. He would also be an assistant to Artakha or either one of them is inspired by the other in creating things. I would also like him to be a Titan set. 83. Skull Spiders - stay the same. I would like one of them to mind-control Lewa. 84. Lord of Skull Spiders - his set should be released as Titan-sized, like the 2015 Online Animations. His face should be made of more pieces and have two more legs. I would like to see him show and use the Golden Mask of Skull Spiders in the G3 story, too. 85. Skull Creatures and Skull Raiders - stay the same. I would like the see the Skull Raiders, including Axato, as sets. I would like all of the six Toa Mata/Nuva/Masters/Uniters get his/her own Skull foe and drained mask this time. I mean, Gali and Tahu never had their own foes or had their masks drained. Kopaka's and Pohatu's weren't drained in the G2 story, either. Have the Skull villains steal and drain all of their masks in the story, but do one of the Toa at the time (example: first Lewa. After getting his mask back, it's Pohatu's turn, then Kopaka, etc.), too (I would like to think that Axato would be Gali's own foe who could drain her mask). The Skull villains should get more character development and have longer and harder battles than in G2. 86. Kulta - He needs more character development and have longer and harder battles than in G2. 87. The Elemental Creatures - I would like to think of them as inspirations for the creation of the Element Lords or creations of the Great Beings. I would like that there are more than seven creatures (for example, a Creature of Lightning and a Creature of Air) and the fact that there are types of them (for example: two Ikir's). I would like the creatures to combine with at least any Toa, Glatorian, Umarak the Hunter, and perhaps Ekimu. Agil should be released as an official set that can combine with a being in the same way as the others (What I mean by that is attaching to the back and head). Also, Uxar's wings should be fixed. 88. Umarak - I would like to think that he may either join the Dark Hunters or would want to lead them by overthrowing the Shadowed One. It would be interesting if he would become the Destroyer by being mutated in a science experiment, perhaps in a similar condition as the Abomination from The Incredible Hulk movie in 2008. His forelegs should be fixed. I would also like to see him capture and use all of the Elemental Creatures. (He only captured two while he didn't use Uxar as much as Ketar). 89. The Shadow Traps - stay the same, but I would like the Ice Trap to be released in sets along the way. 90. The Elemental Beasts/Shadow Horde - stay the same, but I would like each of the Toa Mata/Nuva/Masters/Uniters have his/her own foe and corrupted mask. Each foe should come with the Toa's corrupted mask in the story. I mean, Lewa and Pohatu never had their own foes or corrupted masks. Kopaka has his own mask, but not really a foe. Gali has her own foe, but not her mask. I would like Storm Beast to include Gali's corrupted mask rather than Kopaka's if it were Gali's own enemy. I got the idea about science experiments from recent Marvel movies and TV shows, like Ultimate Spider-Man TV show, The Amazing Spider-Man movies in 2012 and 2014, and Marvel's Hulk movies. So, there. These are my ideas of characters that I would like them to appear in G3. I know it's a lot, but I picked them because I feel that they would be the most significant characters to a story, and I would like their sets to be more accurate to the story this time. Also so, you understand what I'm saying here, all of this? What about your ideas?
  17. Hi, guys! I have been thinking, since there are some Marvel and DC Comics movies where some people call some of the superheroes "gods" because of their powers and skills. I thought that it would be fun to compare certain Bionicle characters to gods based on our opinion. It could the fact that the characters are unique from others because of what they and/or they are powerful. In my opinion as an example, certain characters that I believe can be compared to gods are: 1. Great Beings - people with many magical powers are excellent at creating powerful things, like the Great Spirit Robot, Mata Nui (being), the Matoran Universe, and powerful Kanohi masks 2. Mata Nui (being) - first, when he was controlling the Great Spirit Robot, he was mega-powerful by being 40 million feet tall, having a thick metal armor, and can restore a planet. His face even create the island of Mata Nui. When his spirit is in the Mask of Life, he gains its Life powers, like forming a body and transforming weapons into stronger ones. When his spirit went into the Prototype Robot, he has the same abilities as the Great Spirit Robot, but is 26 million feet tall. Mata Nui was worshipped by his people from the Matoran Universe as a god because he was the Great Spirit. 3. The Mask of Life - It has a mind of its own, and it has powerful Life powers, like reviving Mata Nui. Anyone who holds and uses the mask could become powerful, if that could happen, depending on the mask. It can create a body of its own called Toa Ignika, too 4. The Toa Mata/Nuva/Masters/Uniters - They collect powerful golden masks, became the most powerful of the Toa in G1, and become more powerful when United with the Great Elemental Creatures in G2 5. Makuta Teridax/G2 Makuta - For Teridax, he belongs to a species with so many powers and can turn into a floating cloud of gas that can jump from body to body. He also became very powerful and took over the Great Spirit Robot, making him equivalent to Mata Nui. As for the G2 Makuta, he is a worshipped Mask Maker who can use the Masks of Control and Ultimate Power. He can also turn into a talking fiery shadow when he is unconscious. He can control the Skull Creatures, too. 6. The Makuta species - a species with so many powers and can turn into floating cloud of gas, like Teridax. Many of them are also skilled in creating Rahi 7. Anyone who holds and uses the Masks of Time - they can use their Time powers 8. Artakha - a being who can create powerful things, like certain Kanohi masks and the Great Disks. He also uses the Mask of Creation 9. Ekimu - A worshipped Mask Maker and powerful warrior who can use the Mask of Creation, too. He can also telepathically communicate the Toa Masters through their golden masks. 10. The Bahrag - giant queens of Bohrok that can control them, has their powers and more, and can create the Bohrok Kal. 11. Voporak - a big, powerful being who can sense the Mask of Time and has the power to age anything 1,000 years older by touching it 12. Umbra - a being who can turn into Light energy 13. Karzahni - the only being who uses the Mask of Alternate Futures 14. Tren Krom - a being that once ran the Matoran Universe and his some psychic abilities 15. The Element Lords - beings who can use elemental powers. The Lords' are also made of the elements. The Element Lord of Jungle even fused some Glatorian into a forest 16. The Skakdi Fusion - a big being who can mind control people, can make dreams and nightmares come to life, and can create fortresses 17. Annona - a being that can feed off people's ability to dream to become stronger, gave the Sisters of the Skrall their psychic powers, and go into one's thoughts 18. Kulta the Skull Grinder - an big and powerful, undead being who can reanimate and control the Skull Creatures. When wearing the Mask of Creation, he becomes more powerful 19. The Lord of Skull Spiders - It has the power to control the Skull Spiders 20. The Great Elemental Creatures from G2 - creatures with powerful elemental powers, and when United with the Toa Uniters or Umarak the Hunter, they give them extra abilities and enhance their elemental powers 21. Umarak the Hunter - a being who can travel through shadows and Unite with the Elemental Creatures. When wearing the Mask of Control, he becomes more powerful and could use its powers. So, there. These are characters that I feel could be compared to "gods" because of their uniqueness from other people, which I would compare them to "mortals" or normal people of any kind, and of their abilities. You see what I mean? What about your thoughts. (If this needs to be moved, go ahead.)
  18. Imagine: You are the casting director of a multi-million dollar Bionicle film series, ranging from story arcs 2001-2011 and their spinoffs (serials, podcasts etc.) You have access to the whole of the acting world, whether they be minor players with bit roles on TV or major Hollywood legends (living or dead). Your budget to hire is unlimited. Who would you cast to voice whom?
  19. The Story STARRING: Zox Tomana, as himself | Toa Smoke Monster, as himself | Driesen, Captain Tronameg, and White One by Lucina | Letagi, as himself | Portalfig, as himself | Unit, as himself | Xyron by xccj | Pahrak #0579 | and Ghidora. ALSO STARRING: Sanskrit | Vakama | Mazeka | Botar's Replacement Other characters may appear in passing, but the above characters are guaranteed an appearance. Chapters will be posted weekly until I finish writing the story. After that point, they will be posted every 48 hours. Please let me know how the character representations work out for you. And the usual comments, criticism, and everything else welcome.
  20. What characters do you think were underused at some point in their run? I think Thunder and Jetbug had a lot of potential, but Jetbug and Nitroblast were overshadowed by Drilldozer and Thunder just kinda showed up at the end. Also, please don't say Vapor because he was just tacked on for the special set.
  21. Who do you think is the dumbest character in terms of intelligence? Whose storyline role indicates they just aren't smart? Thinking about it, I've come to the conclusion that the Piraka aren't very smart. They all somehow get the exact same idea in their minds, and they think it's a good idea to act on it, without questioning how they all got the same idea. Vezon can come across as unintelligent, but I think it's probably his insanity impairing his ability to interpret situations correctly. See his exchange with Trinuma about dying horribly without being missed in Destiny War.
  22. What are some patterns with the names of characters in a group? One I've noticed is that the Piraka all have a 'k' in their name, while everyone's favorite anti-Piraka, Vezon, does not.
  23. This is a topic to discuss my epic Spirit of the Mata Nui. Share your thoughts and critism here. It is also your place to contribute to the story. You basically create a character like if you registered in RPG. Give it appearance, element, powers, weaknesses, bio and so on. Then you let me to get it into story and do anything with it without your further control. Before you do so, please read those rules: 1. Never post anything into epic's main topic. Registration goes into review topic (here). 2. Once you create a character, you have no control over it. 3. Character can become main protagonist, antagonist, be a peaceful villager... That's up to me. 4. Each person has currently limit of 3 characters. 5. Allowed species (limit per person in brackets) are Matoran, Turaga, Toa, Skakdi and Rahkshi. 5a. Number of Matoran is not limited (unless it don't exceeds overall limit). If Matoran becomes Toa, it does not count into your Toa limit. 5b. Turaga mainly help Matoran to progress in story. Only one Turaga per person. 5c. Only one Toa per person. As Matoran will play biggest part of the story, I suggest to not use Toa at all. 5d. Skakdi can be good, evil or neutral. Max 2 Skakdi per person. 5e. Rahkshi are not those smart Rahkshi, don't expect Corpus. Max 2 Rahkshi per person. 6. No too much overpowered characters. No modern technologies. Not even pistol (use Kanoka launchers (or something) instead). 7. Use common sense when creating your character. 8. Characters don't have to be all equal. This is not an RPG. 9. Character might or might not be included in next chapter released after its registration. 10. Do not ever role-play in review topic. Create character and fly away. 24. What is your favorite BIONICLE animation, not counting movies? Mine would have to be the Phantoka short. It just means a lot to me. Although a close second is the Barakki one. I love how they fight over the Ignika and then Dekar's like "lol okay my turn" and then all the Barakki team up on him.
  25. This is my first epic, but also probably first of its kind. To this story, you can contribute yourself (but please, check the link below first)! I have got something like set plot, but story will be hugely developed on-the-go, because of its nature. Chapter zero is thus really a short one, because I need you first in order to really write something. Click here to check how you can contribute to this story (review topic)! Chapter 0: The beginning Takua turned around. He could see whole Mata Nui from here. "This," he said. Hewkii has turned around to take a look. "It gives me headache," Hewkii said, "but I am still glad you took me here." Takua turned back to Hewkii, "but we are not here because of the view," he said. Hewkii nodded and both Matoran continued. They came here to find one of the powerful elemental stones. "I am still wondering..." Takua said suddenly, "only thing you need to do is to become Toa is to.. find a stone? I mean, that sounds pretty dull." Hewkii turned to him, continuing hike, "firstly, we haven't found it yet," Hewkii started, "and secondly, Vakama seemed unsure whether it will even work." "But his face, he seemed to be concerned about something," Takua stated, "as if he knew more, but thought that saying us that 'I am not sure whether it will actually work' was better." Vakama was wandering around Ta-Koro, watching the Mangai Volcano in far. If you knew my Matoran, he thought, thinking about Takua and Hewkii, who are now hiking the volcano. "Turaga?" Matoran has interrupted his stream of thoughts. "Yes, Kapura?" said Vakama turning to him. "Turaga Nokama and others have arrived," said Kapura. "Great," stated Vakama, "tell guests I will come in a few minutes." Kapura nodded and ran to tell them.
