Paleo
I recently tried to contact another member, and when I clicked "send" I all I got was a message that said: This member cannot receive messagesWhy did I get this? Flickr
Takuma Nuva
Are they in the "New Member" group? If not then they likely have turned off their messenger or they have a full inbox. iPenguin
Does their profile show an email/IM address? You can try using that. Or posting on their wall should work too. Btw, can you link to their profile? Edited November 6, 2011 by iPenguin Majhost sucks
Sumiki
Some very inactive members actually turn off their inbox, unless the member hasn't been active since before the New Members program was initiated. Also, is there a problem with saying who the member is? That might help... Edited November 6, 2011 by Sumiki avatar by Lady Kopaka

BULiK
i thought he was active... he was in recent powercasts. another reason why itdidnt send was that he was ignoring you, or you were ignoring him Visit www.BZPRPG.com to view my project of archiving BZPower's RPGs, and also access the BZPower Roleplaying Wiki BZPRPG Profiles - Ghosts Of Bara Magna Profiles Exo-Force RPG Profiles - Six Kingdoms: Apocalypse (Knichou, Berys, Arnex, The Taku, Exuze)
Paleo
i thought he was active... he was in recent powercasts. another reason why itdidnt send was that he was ignoring you, or you were ignoring himNot likely, since I've never talked to him and I'm not ignoring anyone.Any way to contact him other than the PM system? Sumiki
If memory serves, he was Premier for a while. Even when Staff, the extra premiership inbox space runs out after the premiership. However, this is a less likely possibility than if he simply turned it off. Edited November 9, 2011 by Sumiki avatar by Lady Kopaka
-Windrider-
Any way to contact him other than the PM system?Short answer: I'm afraid not.Long answer: On the old boards, there was a link in members' profiles allowing you to send him or her an email through some system the board had set up. It was located under the "Send Message" link used for the Personal Messaging system. Now, if you look at a member's profile here on the new forums, you'll see that there is no such option "Send an Email" that was found on the old /forum index. One would think it would be found under "Contact Information." I spoke with Mr. Six about it and the conclusion is that it may be impossible to contact a member via email on the new boards. "Very maybe." So there you go.In ToM's case, the above is quite moot as it is - on the old forums, a quick look at his profile reveals that he has chosen to keep his email private and could not be contacted that way. A quick look at his profile here on the new forums reveals that there isn't much one can do to contact him other than by PM. iPenguin mentioned leaving a note on his profile. This is indeed possible, but I question how effective that would be.So, again, "I'm afraid not." If he has indeed disabled his messaging system, well, it would be quite impossible to convince him to reverse it. If his inbox is full, I suppose you could wait until he logs on again, and then try resending the message. Otherwise, well, *shrugs*.So, I guess with all that, question answered, topic closed.
