Here's a little gem from the Mata Nui category, Alex W.'s "The Hermit Kantai".
The story is brief, but rich in descriptive and peppered with vocabulary-stretching words such as "gelid," "hyperborean," and "supplicated." I especially liked the author's choice of Kantai--the hermit from MNOG2, who helped Hahli hone her balancing skills.

S&T Contest #2 Review: "Nuparu"
We really enjoyed recarT ehT's action-filled Mata Nui entry, "Nuparu".
Nuparu is mining along with the other Onu-Matoran. He notices a broken lift, but before he can do anything about it, the miners are attacked by a massive subterranean worm! Nuparu's heroic friend, Tehuti, hurries back to help Turaga Whenua. Everyone scrambles toward the lift. But the lift is broken! Can Nuparu get it fixed in time to save himself and the others from the worm?

Today my brother and I were kidnapped by aliens and are even now being taken to the planet Xalax, never to be seen again. So far we've had brief stops on Gallifrey, Raxacoricofallapatorius, Naboo, Marus, Tattooine, Sarum, Brekkekelatabaasta, and the non-planet Pluto. We were going to visit Skaros and Alderaan, too, but the pilot couldn't seem to find them on his charts.
It's been the best experience of my life.

*Sniffle.* Poor Larry has been kidnapped by Traku's minions (which are currently under my power, by the way). They're threatening to chop his head off if I don't give them back to Traku---though how they would manage that, I don't know. Cucumbers don't exactly have heads.

S&T Contest #2 Review: "Craving For Destiny"
Staying with the Voya Nui theme, the next story we'd like to highlight is Gali_toa_of_the_sea's "Craving For Destiny."
