I went to the Mall of America earlier today. It was a pretty interesting trip. I almost went into shock at the sheer amount of LEGO contained in one place.
I ended up getting the River Heist Agents set, which was on clearance and a small bucket from the pick-a-brick wall. I ended up getting more plant things then I would ever use. Looking at what I got I wish I had gotten more of the trans-blue 1x1 round studs and less (or none) of the orange 1x1 round studs. I was also going to get Gold
This week and next week I'm going to be working almost 50 hours.
The good news is that my trip to the National Boy Scout Jamboree will be payed off by the end of January. The bad news I'm not sure how many more 8 hour days I can survive.

For Christmas this year I didn't receive any thing major. Last year was a pretty big year so that was to be expected though. (I got a camera and my sister got an 80GB Zune)
Listing out, this is some of the bigger stuff I got.
- A new wallet from my parents
- A pair of leather gloves for driving, also from my parents.
- A nice long sleeve, from my parents
- A pack of Energizer Ultimate Lithium from my parents
- The LEGO Echo Base set, from my brother
- A flannel shirt, from grandparent

It turns out that I did end getting about 8 inches over the last two days. About 6 hours and two tanks of gas later all of the neighbors' driveways are clear. The snow blower my family has is pretty unstoppable. My dad got it when I was a baby amd I remember him using it all through my childhood. It may start out a little slow but once it gets going. It had now trouble clear the 3 foot piles left from the snow plows.

Where I live the forecast for Christmas Eve is between 8 and 12 inches of snow. Yeah, It's probably going to be a very white Christmas.
If we end up getting that much snow this may be the first year that my family's Christmas party is postponed. Everyone who's coming is driving for a minimum of 1 hour and they have said if we get that much snow they won't be coming on Friday.
I also have to work on Thursday afternoon so I'm probably going to end up driving in the snow snow.
Yesterday was my 17th birthday.
I got a Thermarest pad from my parents to take with to Jamboree. I also got a shirt from them and I got an umbrella from my sister. No LEGO Bricks though. It was pretty fun. I didn't go to a movie with my dad this year though since there weren't any movies out I'm interested in seeing. Sherlock Holmes would be cool but that doesn't open until Friday.

I was working on my comic that I'm going to post in LGD pretty soon and I realized how much my photography of LEGO stuff has improved.
This picture from earlier this week is probably the height of that improvement.

...is my birthday. I'm not sure what I'm going to be getting. If the pattern for past birthdays holds it probably won't be anything spectacular. I think three years ago I got a LEGO NXT set and then I had sort of an off year. Last year I got a camera.
I"ll probably end up waiting until Tomorrow night to find out though. It's a weekend though so I might be able to convince my parents to let me open my presents after lunch.

For my winter break I have a few books I want to read.
The first two are both for school. I'm still doing some Literature courses at home even though the rest of schoolwork is college classes.
I'm in the middle of The Red Badge of Courage right now. I read it a long time ago, but that was an abridged copy. I'm reading the full edition this time. I also have to read The Call of the Wild. It seems I've never read many of the classics, this being one of them.

This morning almost right before lunch I managed to get in the last bid on ebay on collection of old LEGO Arctic sets. The total value of what's there new is probably about $50 but I got it for 30. B)
It's the description said it was missing some small pieces but I'm not worried. From the pictures it looks like most stuff is there. It's also dusty but it shouldn't be too hard to clean the pieces.

So last night we got another 2 inches of snow. Since I don't have class anymore this year I ended up shoveling all of it. It actually wasn't as bad as it could have been since it was warmer out today then it has been lately.
With the wind chill it's felt like it's been below 0 for almost the last week. It actually felt pretty warm today. No wind and the air temp was probably around 10. Yes, you can tell I live in a northern climate. Anywhere else 10 degrees would be really cold.
I thought today's live episode was pretty fun to listen to. There was a lot of behind the scenes stuff that I didn't imaging went.
The only bad thing was I didn't really participate. It seemed like it started out a bad foot. I had to download and install Audacity at the last minute since I forgot that I probably needed it. That went okay. Skype somehow got corrupted though between when I installed it yesterday afternoon and this afternoon. I had uninstall and then reinstall it at like 3
I went to my local Toys R Us and they've finally got in a shipment of the Stars. I got Tahu since that's the only set I'm really interested in.
A few comments on this since I don't want to do a full review right now.
I don't like LEGO Bricks choice for his head. They should have stuck with the same head design as the original Tahu. I looked at changing the design to the original head but there really isn't any way to change the head with out getting the same terrible effect, i.e
A week from Wednesday is the finals for my two college classes. I'm not worried about either of them. I'm currently above 95% in both of the classes. Only one of them is cumulative, which means is just a section test.
I'm done learning new stuff in my math class and Wednesday will be the last learning day for Political science.
I'm looking forward to my break, which is almost a month. Maybe then I;ll finally be able to finish most of the two merit badges I have left before I can get Ea
Hidden Beginnings
This is my attempt at creating a comic of sorts out of LEGO pieces. For the initial run of 30 to 50 episodes I'm going to be using the LEGO Advent Calender. If decide to continue it after the initial run a wider variety of LEGO Elements will introduced.
I hope to post a new episode everyday, except Sunday, for the initial release. It may not happen that way though because I may get busy, but we'll see.

My Amazon order arrived earlier today while I was at piano lessons. It consisted of the LEGO City Advent Calender and the Ocean Eyes Owl City Album. I'm pretty impressed with the speed that it got here. I opted for the free shipping and the initial ship date was yesterday. It shipped a lot sooner though and it got here today.
I'm going to be doing a comic thing with the Advent Calender. I.m not sure how it will work though since I'm torn whether I should open the doors one day at a time
Yesterday was the November meeting for my Jamboree Troop. There wasn't a parents meeting so I probably could have drove my self but the e-mail we got wasn't very clear.
We basically worked on team building and the patrols. We did a yurt circle. Basically every body stand in a circle and every other person leans in towards the center. Everyone else leans out. We also did a thing where everyone has to sit down with feet touching and then grabbing each other hands, stand up.

Yes that's orange, not yellow. I was reading a review on another site (sorry I can't link to it) and this popped up in the review. He specifically said it was orange.

Edit: I guess it's not really an orange piece. Turns out it's really Keetorange with photography that makes it really look orange. :blush:
I finally got tired of waiting for Toys R Us to get in a shipment of LEGO Advent Calenders. When I was in there the middle of last week they didn't have any in stock. The person I talked too though said they would be getting some in soon. A week later and approx. 3 calls later they still don't have any available. Target was also suppose to have some, they were running a $5 off sale that was suppose to end today. They sold out of them over a week ago before I had a chance to get one and that
I personally am not too dismayed over the end of the Bionicle sets. I haven't really bought many of the sets since I originally got into Bionicle in 2001. By the time of the Rahkshi my interest had waned to the point that I pretty much stopped buying Bionicle. That fact that I didn't have a lot of money at the time also contributed to this. I only recently bought Toa Mata Nui for nostalgia. I'll probably also buy the Stars Tahu. As someone else said the circle will then be complete. My fi
I passed the drivers test earlier today. I got a few things marked off but not enough for the test person to fail me. I messed up right at the beginning because I didn't look both ways when I backed up, I thought I did though. I also stopped in a crosswalk instead of behind it. And when I was pulling out of the 90 degree back in parking spot I left it in reverse so we went back a little before we went forward.
Now I get to drive to work today.
I finished watching The Legend Reborn last. I thought it was a good movie although the ending leaves too much unanswered. I also thought the animation was okay, I'm not sure I like it more then previous movies though.
