About this blog

Words we often so desperately want to say, but leave unspoken, for one reason or another, for fears rational and irrational, whether it makes sense or not.

^Look up there^.   I feel no regret, I actually went through with it. It won six-five. By one vote!   You made this happen, so if anyone complains people wanted it to happen.   Well, I wanted a ridiculous name and I got one. This reminds of the time people lost the ability to spell entirely on a forum elsewhere on the internet. Where vowels were disregarded and it ended up looking an awful lot like written welsh, apart from having no Ys so not really looking like welsh at all. Still, the point

ANOTHER QUESTION

Once again, you are trapped in a room. Or content to be in the room. Whichever floats the boat you probably don't have.   But this time, instead of a swarm of wasps on the other side of the only door... it's 2016. And it keeps asking you what your favourite things are, the individuals you admire, the people closest to you, the media you like... it's determined to get answers from you.   You can hear its nefarious giggling through the door.   So what do you do?

UNEXPECTED

BZPower has a TVTropes page.   I'm not kidding, I am really surprised we're apparently notable enough to have one.

Something that confuses me

Why do some people want to go back to Inika builds?   Inika builds had specialised upper torsos and torso armour as well as specialised, one-piece lower limbs. By 2009, we were just merely tolerating them as opposed to going 'oh cool'.   Now tell me: which system had a torso armour that's very hard to repurpose as anything else? Two kinds, maybe more. Which system had only two sizes of upper leg? Which system offers far more opportunity for attaching armours and unique bone structures?   What'

LEGO Dimensions

I'm not the only one who cringes when they hear or see LEGO Dimensions, right?   It all seems really, really awkward. You've got this kids' building toy and then you have some really, really weird and absolutely bizarre choices in terms of licensed IPs, several of which don't even have their own themes yet/ever, and some of which are arguably a bit on the inappropriate side (like the Simpsons). Some are like 30 years old (Back to the Future, Ghostbusters). One is even in competition as it's anot

Messing with a Mohtrek

I wonder if anyone ever tried to reject destiny and tried to follow their own path. What became of them?   What if you mess with destiny by utilising a Mohtrek to destroy all of your past selves? What happens then? Would they be destined to do that? But then they would no longer exist, since they would have never been alive to destroy themselves in the first place, and... destiny explodes! It doesn't know what to do. Destiny is defenestrated. Of course, there is then the matter of a messed-up ti

A Message from the Rahaga

Do you have a spinny thing growing out of your back?   Does that spinny thing launch spinners of energy?   Is your right hand fused to a weapon?   Have you been tied up in a cocoon by giant spiders recently?   Might you fall to your death if you're not careful?   If the answer to all of the above is yes, then you just might be a Hordika! The beast within us all, except those who aren't Hordika.   If you fear succumbing to the beast within your Hordika-self, please call the Rahaga helpline today

The Mystery Of The Microphone

It appears, that while playing co-op in a very popular game, I have a microphone. But, to my knowledge, THERE IS NO MIC ANYWHERE AROUND HERE.   WHAT.   WHAT.     WHAAAAAAT.   So, an invisible microphone is now on my computer, it seems. ._.   (THEY'RE LISTENING TO ME AREN'T THEY AND TARGETING ME)

Dimensions

I always thought it was weird we tried to attach a fourth dimension to some things. It's not as if we could really comprehend them - can a square comprehend a cube? Can a circle comprehend a cylinder?   I would guess 'no'. Which makes one wonder if three dimensions are required for life. Can a square be aware?   Which, if there is an exponentially increasing complexity per dimension added, makes me wonder how incomprehensible a fourth dimension would be to us. Probably 'entirely'.

Akida

Acquired Akida.   I have to wonder: why does a fish need dual gatling guns?   The orange + light blue combo is nice. Not so sure on the transparent light blue and transparent dark blue combo, though. Think Akida could've done with more transparent dark blue parts,   Akida's probably the least function-based of the creatures, the function is hardly a function on Akida alone. It's more there to turn the gatling guns and fins.   Akida's a fish I guess. Eh. Well, at least it isn't a bit of a mess l

BIONICLE Mafia: Legends: Post-Game Thoughts

Seeing how quickly the Shadow Matoran won, I think I may have made them too powerful, or at least gave them too many people. 5 people were Shadow-aligned in a 20-player game, and four of them didn't know the fifth, but the fifth knew them. Should've probably reduced the Shadow Matoran's numbers from four to three, and make the Shadow Turaga's death scenario less over-the-top or have more conditions associated with it. I am really glad it did not devolve into a trainwreck. I feared that would ha

Untitled

Roses are red Violets are blue Lhikan dies in BIONICLE 2   BIONICLE 2: Legends of Metru Nui released over 12 years ago and is older than a good portion of people on the internet. In the film, Lhikan dies near the end trying to save main character, Vakama, from being absorbed by the evil Makuta - who has this giant shadow hand. How cool would it be to have your own giant shadow hand? Not to absorb things into you because that's mean, of course, but just as another hand.

Skull Warrior

Skull Warrior came in the mail today.   Gear function doesn't work that well with the bow (well DUH).   The new armour add-on piece honestly doesn't look that good in the way it attaches. It looks kind of awkward compared to the piston piece and the round/square HF add-on pieces, it doesn't really try to cover up the area where it attaches. Still, it's by far the largest shell add-on piece we have yet and looks good as long as you don't look at it from the side.   Believe it or not, but shells c

BIONICLE Zone... Power

When you think about it, the name 'BIONICLE Zone Power' doesn't really make much sense, does it? I could understand 'BIONICLE Zone' - we could say "Welcome to the BIONICLE Zone", but... BIONICLE Zone Power?   "Weclome to the BIONICLE Zone... Power." "Welcome to BIONICLE Zone... Power."   Now, I know this is about fourteen years late (wow BZP is older than some of its users), but why not something like 'KanohiZone Community' or 'BioniclePower Forums'? 'KanohiZone Community' makes a bit more sense

With the Biological Chronicles returning

What happened to HF? Invasion by Angry Bionicle Fans? Exploded? Meteors? Robotic dinosaur attack? Invasion by the future BIONICLE fans? Or did it invade BIONICLE?   I guess their lack of security finally caught up with them...

DO YOU LIKE ASYMMETRY?   I'm curious of BZP's opinions on asymmetrical sets. (Such as Pohatu and the upcoming SkulL Warrior)

The Shocking BONKLE Reveal of 2015

Skull Grinder laughed. It, a mere reanimated skeleton taller than most of the Toa and a very big staff and also a sword for some reason, had defeated all six Toa with little effort, mostly because, as a skeleton, it didn't feel pain. (Skeletons usually don't feel pain.) It didn't have a brain either, but it would prefer not to dwell on the ramifications of being a reanimated skeleton while it was picking on Ekimu, an opponent half its size and with the ability to feel pain. Ekimu was also not at

Irritating

The amount of PC games requiring a controller of some sorts, either straight up requiring one or requiring one to be played effectively.   At this point, I'd rather you either not port it if you're not going to bother even attempting to make it playable for those of us with mouse + keyboards or if you're developing for PC originally, why are you even doing this in the first place? Go and develop it for a console.

I now own Tahu, Pohatu, and the Protectors of Stone and Jungle.   Or perhaps I could call them Twohu/2hu and Pohatwo/Poha2?   No, wait. THOSE ARE TERRIBLE NICKNAMES.

Incoherent Rambling

What if The LEGO Movie sets were so successful we get a The LEGO Movie Movie? We would then get The LEGO Movie Movie sets.   Why were Mata Nui and Makuta the main protagonist and main antagonist of 2010 respectively, yet neither got a set that year?   We totally should have seen more 'special' canister sets in the later years, like the Hagah.   I constantly imagine the early Toa Mata having their gear functions turned to the beat of some random music that only exists in my head.   I found two

BRILLIANT IDEA

The next BONKLE vehicle set should be a segway which transforms into a giant 2-handed hammer for its driverwielder.   Also, it should be made of Inika torsos. Also, it's for Skull Scorpio.   Scorpions on segways. Actually, you know what?   Instead of Skull Scorpio, there should have been..   Skull Segway.
