Weird Pricing III: Revenge of the Pricing

So, the six creatures and other two smaller Toa have been added to the UK LEGO Shop by now.   Gali has remained at £9.99. Pohatu and Lewa are both at the price.   The Creatures? They're all £6.99, with between 74-89 pieces each (exception: Akida, has 120 pieces).   The Protectors were £9.99, for between 60-80 pieces each.   There's been what's basically a 25%-30% reduction on price for the small sets and the smaller Toa in the UK (Tahu, Onua, Umarak remain at £14.99. K+M are £19.99).   I guess

Weird Pricing II

Now the online LEGO shop's added Gali and Tahu as coming soon. Tahu, as expected, is £14.99, same as last year.   But Gali? Gali's £9.99. That's the same price as the Protectors this year.... oh, and she has the same amount of pieces as she did this year. 87. 87 pieces at £12.99 this year, 87 pieces at £9.99 next year.   I was expecting the creatures to be £9.99 and Gali to be £12.99, but... are the creatures going to be the same price or what?   It's probably just a pricing error. Weird Pricing

I just checked LEGO's online shop and I have to say, I was honestly not expecting Umarak to be the same price as Onua and (presumably) Tahu at £14.99 considering he has 172 pieces.   Kopaka and Melum, on the other hand, are £19.99 and have 171 pieces. It's clear who has the better price/part ratio here. Onua has 143 pieces at £14.99. The other sets aren't on the UK LEGO Shop at the moment, but it seems weird the sets have more pieces and yet remained the same price.   I might as well post my gen

Vakama Appreciation Klub

After the last entry, I think it's about time we formed a Vakama Appreciation Klub (VAKama), to appreciate the coolness that is Turaga Vakama. So, without further explanation or exposition... or explosanation...     We will also be campaigning to get him a role in BIONICLE 2015 if he does not already have a role. We will also be his support group when he gets anxious and yells "I'M NOT A REAL TOA/TURAGA".   Now, who wants to join the VAKAMA APPRECIATION KLUB (VAKama)?

Roses are red Violets are blue Lhikan dies in BIONICLE 2   BIONICLE 2: Legends of Metru Nui released over 12 years ago and is older than a good portion of people on the internet. In the film, Lhikan dies near the end trying to save main character, Vakama, from being absorbed by the evil Makuta - who has this giant shadow hand. How cool would it be to have your own giant shadow hand? Not to absorb things into you because that's mean, of course, but just as another hand.

Unorthodox G1-G2 connection hypothesis

Mata Nui (island) was on a planet with very few other islands, and was meant as camouflage.   Okoto was also on a planet with very few other islands.                   Mata Nui (giant robot) crushed Okoto when he crashed into Aqua Magna. Mata Nui (island) took on traits of Okoto in an attempt to blend in.

Unity, Duty, I Don't Get To Decide My Own Destiny

Surely at least one person objected to the idea of a destiny they had to fulfil. What if someone didn't like their destiny? I was looking for pictures of the BIONICLE 2015 summer wave yesterday or so, and I noticed pretty much all pictures of them had been taken down.   I think we've accidentally been discussing leaks from the Nuremberg Toy Fair without realising it. Oops. Discussing leaks is illegal here, right? So, um.. how do we apologise to LEGO?

Has anyone else ever come across a page they didn't know existed until they found it? Within BZPower, of course. Maybe outside of BZPower.   It seems like the status updates page could easily fit that description, at least for me: you don't know it exists until you find it.   Pretty sure the bubblewrap page hasn't ceased to exist yet - still around, newer members might know of its existence.   Any other pages that we might not know exist? I went to the BIONICLE website today. I looked at the text that was scrolling from right to the left. After a while, one of the things the text said was 'PLAY THE NEW MISTIKA RACING GAME'.   'New'?   That was 3 years ago. Two questions

I'm curious to see what people think: Is it better to stick with a core group of characters (HF) for the entire duration of a theme, or is it better to constantly introduce new characters almost constantly (G1 BIONICLE)? What do you hope G2 BIONICLE does in terms of characters?

Transparent Orange Haus

I HAVE A TRANSPARENT ORANGE HAU. It's so transparent. And orange. Trans-orange. It actually looks pretty decent on Tahu, although the transparency and being able to see the 'head' through the mask is kind of awkward which makes me worried for the gold/transparent blends coming this summer.   Also an extra skull spider so that's cool too.   and also LoSS but he's nothing special. Nice of LEGO to make his acronym 'LOSS' as a warning.

Toa Stone

Game idea for G&T, which needs something fresh. Very basic right now, came up with it in sleep. Sort of inspired by Mafia and Technic Coliseum, but not really like them - not round-based, probably real-time instead.   No idea on the amount of players yet, but it's got a few designated things, split into three rounds:   Round One: Survival: One player is Makuta. Their goal is to kill all the Matoran. Another player is a Toa. Their goal is to protect the Matoran. Everyone else is Matoran.

Time

I feel like time has been moving way too fast this year. It felt like only a month ago that it started.   Also, I have no idea what I'm meant to be doing in life. Trying to get a driving license, but that's not going to well as it keeps getting delayed for one reason or another. Also, afraid of the future. Don't like time moving this fast. Want more time, basically. Need to think. Afraid for future of politics of own country. Sort-of-interest in a few other languages but no motivation to attempt
