Merry Christmas everyone! I hope your day is filled with joy, family, and good food. I'll be spending most of my day at work. (Yep, I work today, but it is what it is.) Regardless, I hope everyone has a great day!
Storywise, I really haven't haven't gotten that much farther in the game other than going through Victory Road. It wasn't that hard of a challenge, but man did that route have some great TMs! It had both Flamethrower and Psychic, which are amazing moves that I taught to Camerupt and Latios as soon as I got them. Plus, all my Pokemon are level 50 now. Hopefully they will be strong enough for the Elite Four when I finally get around to challenging them. And what have I been doing all this time?
I got back from my trip to Austin yesterday, and my Dad and I had a lot of fun on it. I will admit, though, that we really didn't make much of a plan for this trip. We just decided to go and see what we could do once we got there. Great plan, right? We ultimately decided to visit the capital. I had already been there a few times back in High School back when I was part of a YMCA program, but then I only had time to see a couple areas of the capital. Like the center of the building and some of
Goodbye, Gen 2 Bionicle. You were fun while it lasted. You gave us some cool sets and some really amazing masks. (Mask of Creation FTW!) And while your story wasn't the best, it did have some good moments. Plus you gave us a TV show, which is something Gen 1 never got. (I still need to watch it though. ) R.I.P Bionicle. Maybe we'll see you again sometime in the future.
I know some of these movies came out months ago, but since I don't know what to blog about today, I thought I'd give my opinion on them. (In no particular order) The Avengers: Easily one of the best superhero movies I've ever seen. Everyone in it got some screen time, with the exception of Hawkeye. But even he had his cool moments. Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, and everyone else in this also were amazing with their characters. This is, IMO, Marvel's best movie yet. Side note: It was also t
Well, it looks like I won't be able to finish my Short Story Contest entry before the deadline. I'll be extremely busy over the next two days, so I won't have time to work on it. Oh well, maybe next time.
I did something like this last year when I had my blog, so I think its would be cool to make another one for this year. Here is my opinion on the movies that I've seen so far this year. G.I. Joe: Retaliation I enjoyed this movie a lot. It had good action scenes and some really cool characters. The story wasn't the best, but I kind of knew it wasn't going to be when I went to see it. Though it did have a few surprising moments in it, like the death of Duke at the beginning. Even though it was s
So I went to my Barnes and Noble today, in the hopes of getting both Bionicle: Gathering of the Toa and Bionicle: Revenge of the Skull Spiders. They didn't have the latter yet, so I was only able to get Gathering of the Toa. At least they had it on the shelves, unlike when I went there to get Island of Lost Masks. For that one I had to ask for it, and they had to go to the back to get it for me. To compensate for not getting Revenge of the Skull Spiders, I decided to see if they had any 2016 B
I'm not going to have a lot of free time tomorrow, so I'm going to go ahead and say this now: I wish you all a Merry Christmas and I hope the day is great for you all tomorrow.
The latest Pokemon Sun/Moon trailer is here, and it has a ton of new info in it. Here are my thoughts on it. 1. The new form for Exeggutor looks interesting. It seems like it went on a extreme diet. Though I think the biggest change about it is that it is part dragon instead of part psychic. I imagine that there is a certain way to evolve Execute in the game to get the Exeggutor that you want, because not having the original in the region, as least as an option, would be kind of disappointing
...Or it will probably be a hurricane by the time it arrives in my local area. So for those who may not be aware, there is currently a tropical depression, named Harvey, in the Gulf of Mexico that is being predicted to hit southeast Texas, where I live, sometime late on this coming Friday. It's stated that this depression could very well become a category 1 hurricane before hitting land though, and that could cause some flooding power outages, and other bad things to occur. And what's worse
...so I probably won't be doing any serious writing until the end of next week. I may be able to work on a short rough draft or two, but that depends on my schedule. I'm also trying to decide if I should work on the next chapter of my epic or if I should get started on my Short Stories Contest #8 entry. I kind of want to get started on the former, but I don't want to be pressed for time on the latter. Oh, what do I do?!
I was debating on watching this, as I don't want to learn too much about this game before it is released. But I couldn't help myself. It's great that we're finally getting another 2D Metroid game. It's also great to see the Gravity Suit back. (I still think it should've been in Other M.) The Aeon Powers look like an interesting addition to the game as well. I can't wait to see how they are used in the game. My one nitpick about this is that they're are some content locked behind Amiibos. Y
So the other day Corrin and Bayonetta were released for DLC for Smash Bros. I decided to get all of the new DLC released, fighters, stages, and costumes all included. It's the last DLC for the game, so I thought why not? Bayonetta is a lot of fun to play. Her moves look really cool, especially directional A attacks. Her final smash is also terrifying. I can see fighters who like making a lot of combos using her a lot. But to my personal surprise, I think that I actually like Corrin more tha
So the Bionicle Graphic Novel 'Gathering of the Toa' came out the other day. I've aleady posted my thoughts on it in the Gathering of the Toa Offical Discussion Topic, but I thought I'd post them here as well. Contained in the spoiler tags is the post that I put in that topic for those interested. Don't read it if you don't want to know anything about the novel before reading it.
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales came out last weekend, and that is when I saw the movie. It's definitely better than the fourth movie, On Stranger Tides. But it still falls short compared to the first three IMO. They are some good things in it though. One of the opening sequences involving Jack and Co. stealing a bank vault is really cool. It definitely something not seen in a Pirates movie before, and it's one of my favorite action scenes in the movie. The relationship betw
Just a heads up, if you don't want to know who the villain (or at least a villain) is in the upcoming Spider-Man movie, don't read any further than this. So Kevin Fiege, the man who oversees the Marvel movies for the MCU, confirmed last night that Michael Keaton will play The Vulture in Spider-Man: Homecoming. This really isn't a surprise to me, because it has been rumored for awhile that he was up for this role. Now it's just confirmed. I'm excited for this. I thought he did a good job in
AGAIN! This is the second time in the last two or three months that I've become ill. This never happens to me. I usually only get sick maybe once a year. I don't know whats going on with me, but hopefully when I get better this time, I'll stay better.
So I was reading an article on another site, and happened to run into this picture: Seriously, who came up with this? This makes no sense to me. Even the guy in the artwork looks like he's wondering why he's there. It is extremely hilarious though.
Picture a guy smiling unceasingly, practically in the verge of jumping up and down in uncontrollable joy. That is my reaction to this information. Oh, I can't WAIT to see the new trailer!
Here is an update that I probably should've posted earlier about how my family and I got through Hurricane Harvey. None of us were harmed in the storm, and we didn't lose our home or anything in it. We didn't even lose power. My parent's bedroom did take some water damage, but compared to what others have lost in the storm, we're not complaining. As for my town, it is bouncing back to how it was before Harvey hit. Some food places still have a limited menu, but overall things are getting back
