Today I came home and found in my room four bookmarks, a photo, and two identical notes (I think that was a mistake).
Apparently a month or so ago when I visited T.A. Barron's site and did some quiz thing there I got everything correct.
Now I have a huge color print of the map of events in The Merlin Effect (which I own) plus bookmarks of four other books by T.A. Barron. And the photo was autographed, which is pretty cool.

So today it really hit me how much easier it is to read Japanese than Chinese.

Well, I do my best not to bother everyone too much with updates on how my writing's going, but these past few days I've just gotten back into the rhythm so I'm feeling pretty good about this. I'm about halfway through chapter 12 (although the hardest part is yet to come) so I've got my buffer zone back.
